"For now, the best thing would be to retreat." Kakashi muttered.

I clenched my teeth, keeping quiet. "But that means we'd be letting the bastards get away!" Naruto shouted.

"Yeah. If we take our eyes off of them for now, they might slip up." Kakashi explained.

"We went through nothing but trouble trying to find them. If we let them get away now, I'm not sure we'd be able to find them again." Kiba said.

"Then, here's what we'll do. In terms of strength, we'll split into two teams." Kakashi explained. "Sai and Sakura will be on standby here, waiting for Hinata to recover. The others will form a pursuit team"

I nodded and stood up. "It's possible the enemy erased their send while fleeing. Even for Akamari, or any of your wolf's, Yuki, it may be impossible to track them."

"They seem to be very careful." Yamato noted. "Yuki did a good job on finding you guys earlier when she was in sage mode."

I nodded, "Maybe I can try it again."

"If that dosen't work, maybe we can make use of their observation bats. However, if we get too close to the bats, they'll be the ones finding us. That's why we'll have to move quietly." Kakashi explained.

Naruto sighed, "That's a much bigger pain than having Yuki-chan just go into Sage Mode, but it may have to be done."

I sighed, my eyes closing as I shook my head. "You think it's a pain, but having to go into Sage Mode multipul times a day can be a pain to me. You'll get it when you have to sit still for five minutes and concentrate, then have to search for enemies chakra."

"That's not all, Naruto, Yuki. We'll also need your ability, Yuki, as a crystal user you seem to be able to break through crystal. While I may know some things about fighting a crystal user because of you, Yuki, and training with Mai sensei I still don't know enough to fight a enemy." Kakashi looked at us. "If we find them, don't do anything. Our prime mission is to uncover their plans."

"Roger." Everyone nodded.

"I guess we'll be going home then." Gamatasu said to Naruto.

Naruto smiled back at them, "Yeah, I'll be counting on you guys."

"I guess I'll return too, Kakashi." Pakun looked at Kakashi.

"Well then, Pakun, thanks for your help." Kakashi glanced at his summoning dog.

Once the summoning had gone away Kakashi looked at us. "I guess it's time to head out as well. Yuki, I'll give you a couple minutes to get into sage mode."

I ran beside Naruto, Kiba, and Akamaru. My eyes narrowed as I still searched for the enemies location. "Damn it! We shouldn't have taken our eyes off them, even if it was just a second!" Kiba growled. "Now we have to search for them all over again!"

"Yuki, are you getting anything?" Kakashi asked.

"Not yet," I muttered. We came to a stop while Shino explained a plan about the bats. I ignored everyone talking as I continued to search for the their chakra.

'Damn it! Even when people hide their chakra they don't hide it well enough for me not to sense it.' I thought.

"Shadow clone jutsu." Naruto said, snapping me out of my thoughts as I saw three clones start running on the ground.

We started following behind the clones through the trees. "If  I do this, they'll be caught by the bat's radar."

"That's fine." Kakashi said.

I sighed and ran beside Naruto, still ignoring their conversation- well until Naruto farted in Kiba's face.

My eye twitched as Naruto pulled be beside him. "Why did you do that?"

He laughed, "Nothing to worry about, Yuki-chan. Just concentrate on finding the enemies."

I suddenly stopped running, the enemy was using a jutsu- a crystal jutsu. My eyes widened as I felt the large amount of chakra being used after the jutsu, one I realized was the one I sensed earlier with Naruto. 'That must be the little boy's chakra!'

"Yuki, what's wrong?" Shino asked, he had stopped running when he saw me stop.

"I found them," I said as I took off, not listening to the team as I took off.

"Their summoning something big..." I muttered to myself as another chakra appeared with them.

"Yuki! Stop!" I ignored Kakashi's order's as I kept running, going my real speed as I rushed there.

Mist started to surround me as I got closer to the chakra, as well as four other chakra's. While in my sage mode, I could tell that my team was following me, most likely by my sent as I was already far from them.

I stopped in my tracks as a man stood in front of me. He smirked as he stared at me, his purple-gray scarf was tied neatly across his neck. Although it bothered me that he didn't wear a shirt, but had a vest and scarf.

"My bat's didn't say anything about a pretty blonde girl." He smirked.

I glared, my sage mode wearing off. "I guess I wasn't paying too much attention, because I seemed to miss your horrid chakra."

His smirk turned to a frown, the bat on his arm turned to look at me. "I was going to try to be nice to you, since your a pretty girl, but I guess that's out of the option."

I threw a kunai, missing him by inches, my eyes fixed on him. "I was going to kick your ass one way or another, but I would have felt bad if you didn't try to at least fight me back." I formed handsigns, "Crystal release: Crystal sword!"

His dark eyes widened as he saw a multicolored sword form in my hand. "You're the crystal user that Guren-san wants."

I ignored him as I charged at him, just as my sword was about to slice him he did his own jutsu. "Ultrasonic Mind Waves." He muttered.

My eyes widened as a loud, sharp shrieking sound filled my ears. Not only did it make me stop and try to clutch my head, but it broke my crystal sword. My ears wend to my head as I covered my ears, my eyes wide from the pain of my sensitive ears.

His smirk formed again as he kneeled down to me. His lips moved, but my ears were only picking up the screeching noise of his jutsu. Another person joined him,  like Kakashi he had silver hair, but he also seemed to wear a gas mask.

I staggered up, the screeching noise now gone, but my hearing was gone as well. I glanced between the two, forming handsigns. 'Air bullets.' I blew out at the two of them.

The gas mask man looked at me before doing his own jutsu, my eyes widened as my arik bullets increased the flame of his fire balls that he shot at me. Still recovering I was unable to dodge it completely.

The man with the bat's looked down at my while I clutched my arm that was burned. My hearing was slowly coming back, as I could faintly hear him say. "Kigiri, go help the others with the other people coming, I'll take care of the girl."

With a nod from the gas masked man he jumped off. I glared at the man in front of me. He looked at me and smirked again. "Has your hearing come back yet? It would be a shame if you happened to go deaf."

Finally, I released the seal on the kunai and appeared behind him. "It would be a shame if you were to get your ass kicked by a girl." I growled before stabbing him in the back with a kunai.

He narrowed his eyes at me while doing a handsign again. "Ultrasonic Mind Waves," He muttered, I collapsed again as the sharp screeching noise filled my ears, luckily it didn't hurt as much as my Sage Mode had worn off fully.

My hands went to my ears again as I hoped it would help. I looked up when I saw feet in front of me, my eyes wide as I saw the orange pants. Naruto stood in front of me, beside him was Kakashi.

Their lips moved as they talked, both glancing at me for an answer but realized I didn't hear them. Naruto glanced at Kakashi, nodded and picked me up before running off. The screeching noise faded as well as the sight of Kakashi fighting the man I had fought a little bit ago.

Naruto looked down at me worried, his mouth moving as he tried to get me to talk. After a while of him trying to talk to me, and me not answering as I couldn't hear he gave up.

While I couldn't hear, I noticed that Naruto didn't place me down as we ran, not that I was complaining though. The burn on my arm throbbed, but I ignored that as I tried to heal my ears. Once again, my hearing slowly came back.

I only caught the last of what Naruto was saying. "-Love you..."

My eyes widened as I blinked, my face burning as I quickly looked at Naruto. "W-What?"

His blue eyes widened as he looked at me. "Y-You hear that?"

I nodded, "What were you saying?"

He glanced away, as if thinking of something before looking down at me with a nervous smile. "O-Oh, I was just fantasizing about ramen, you know how I love it."

I glanced away, the new feeling I've recently discovered as love seemed to sting as I realized he was talking about ramen. Forcing a laugh I looked back at Naruto, a smile forced onto my face. "Yeah, I know you sure love ramen. You know, you can put me down now."

"It's okay, I got you, Yuki-chan. Heal your arm, it looks like it's burned badly." Naruto said as he took a leap through the fog. "Yosh! From here we go to the lake!"

I stared blankly at Gamakichi's head. "You leaped too far, Naruto-kun." I muttered as we resurfaced. Naruto layed beside me, his head face down on Gamatasu's head.

"I went too deep..." Naruto muttered.

"More snacks for me," Gamatasu smiled.

"Geeze, what's the big idea calling us after you send us home?" Gamakichi asked, annoyance clear in his tone. "Make up your mind for crying out loud!"

"Give me a break," Naruto muttered.  "I'll treat you later on..."

"And why didn't you just summon one of your wolfs, Yuki?" Gamakichi demanded.

"I don't want to wast anymore chakra unless necessary, and Rain keeps answering my summing." i muttered.

Gamakichi laughed, "Rain is one of your wolfs?"

"Yeah, you know her?" I asked.

"Of course I do! The wolf's don't live too far from us toads. Go easy on Rain, Yuki. She's just trying to prove herself to her father, she does think highly of you." Gamakichi seemed to smile, but his smile dropped when he looked through the fog.

I looked in the direction I sensed chakra, my ears faintly picking up the sound of a boy's screaming. 'What's going on there?' My eyes widened when the chakra, which I figured to be the boy's stopped it's jutsu- or whatever it was.

"We need to hurry." I said, sitting up on Gamakichi's head.

A roar echoed through the lake, making Naruto sit up. "What was that?"

My eyes snapped back to the location that I sensed their chakra, the crystal user was using one of her jutsu's. Not only that, but I'm sure that I sense Kabuto's chakra as well.

"Whatever it is, it may be on our side." I said, "The other crystal user is fighting it, but knowing our luck, it's on neither of our sides."

"Stop," i said as I looked at the big crystal. "Look, what do you guys think that is?"

Naruto looked up, "I was gonna ask you that."

We moved closer, I narrowed my eyes as I looked at the object in the crystal. "it looks like a turtle.A turtle with three tails." I muttered before looking at Naruto. "Naruto-kun, it's the three tails. "

"The three tails?" Naruto muttered before looking up to see the three tails move it's eyes to look down at us.

"So then, they must be here for the three tails," I said, the three tails then screeched and started to move around in the crystal. My eyes widened as the crystal was shattered like it was fragile glass.

"Shit!" I cursed."

I looked up to see the crystal woman using a jutsu that I was familiar with, crystal shuriken . She shot at the three tails, each crystal bouncing off like it was nothing.

"That woman," Naruto muttered.

I stared at her as she made crystal form on her arm. 'She didn't even use any handsigns! How is that even possible?'

"Why is she fighting the three tails?" Naruto asked.

When she hit the three tails, her crystal shattered. "Guren-san!" Naruto and I looked over to the little boy's voice.

He sat in a boat, another man stood beside the boat waiting for Guren. The little boy looked over to us, he smiled when he saw Naruto.

"What are you doing here?" Naruto muttered. "Don't tell me... His home.. is with those guys!"

"It seems so." I muttered as I looked at Naruto who seemed very upset about the little boy.

Looking back to the boat I saw the crystal user, Guren laying on the ground barely alive. The little boy looked at her, his eyes widening then he looked at us. A small smile formed on his face. "I found my home." He whispered to Naruto and I as he looked at us.

He looked from us to the three tails, his eyes narrowing. Taking a deep breath he started shouting as chakra hot out of him, making the three tails stop.

"T-That's hurting him, he shouldn't reliese that much chakra at once." I muttered, my body tencing. 'This boy, he's controlling the three tails!'

I looked up at the five crystal pillars, each seemed to be cracking. Each of the crystal pillars shattered, the chakra surrounding the boy disappeared as well as his screaming. The three tails let out a roar, sending everyone in the water away from him.

Naruto, Gamakichi, Gamatasu, and I were sent under water. Each of us were trying to make it back above the water. I paused as I looked at Naruto, he wasn't too far from me. Reaching out I grabbed onto him, I glanced at the toads and nodded in a way to tell them that they could go.

Once they were gone, I put chakra into my marked kunai and threw it upward. Luckily, with my chakra in it it broke through the water. Releasing the seal Naruto and I appeared above the water, gasping for air.

Naruto and I looked around as we tried to dry off. "Where were we flushed away to?" Naruto muttered.

I remained quiet as Naruto muttered to himself about the little boy being with Orochimaru's men. I stood up and looked around. "We should be quiet, Naruto-kun. I don't know where everyone else is, but we don't want any enemies finding us." I warned while looking around, straining my eyes as I tried to see through the mist.

My eyes widned as the mist became too thick and my surroundings changed. I looked around, my eyes widening as I found myself in my parent's house. "W-What's going on?" I whispered, the front door in front of me opened.

My eyes widened as I saw my parents, and myself walk through the door. Although, I was at the age of seven, and my parents, were the age of their death. They all seemed to be smiling and laughing, my childish self smiling up at my father, but it dropped when the door busted down.

"No." I muttered, trying to back out of the image. The two swordsmen attacked, my mother surrounding me in her crimson fruit, my seven-year-old self pounding on the crystal.

"Stop." I whispered as the sword went through my father's chest, killing him. My eies widned as I saw my parents killed in front of me again, the crystal protecting my seven-year-old self shattering.

"I said stop!" I shouted as I ran at the two killers, my crystal sword already in my hand, tears swelled in my eyes as I went to attack.

"Yuki! Stop!" I blinked, the image of the attackers melting away to see Yamato and Kakashi. I was breathing hard as my eyes widened to see the two people in front of me, I dropped the sword.

I looked to the ground, sweat dripped off of me as I tired to get my breathing under control. "The same thing happened to Naruto, except he saw Orochimaru. Yuki, what did you see?" Kakashi asked softly, as if he was trying to be gentle.

My eyes stayed on the ground before I stood back up. "I-It dosen't matter, just make sure I don't fall under another hallucination. I'd rather not relive that."

Everyone was looking at us, Kakashi nodded. "I understand, Yuki."

"Yuki!" I looked over to see Sakura.

"Hey, Sakura-san." I smiled.

She grabbed my arm, which still had a burn on it. "What happened?"

I rubbed my head, "Eh, nothing too serious. Just a little burn."

She raised an eyebrow, "A little burn? This would be a second degree burn, geeze you're always getting hurt like Naruto."

Kakashi looked at me. "Yuki, what happened at the lake?"

"I believe it was the three tailed beast was there, along with the crystal user. From what I saw, I believe that they may have been trying to seal the tailed beast, but it didn't work." I answered.

Naruto put a hand to his chin. "I just thought it was a giant turtle..."

"It had tree tails, and the amount of chakra in that turtle makes more sense for it to be the three tails, Naruto-kun. Also, from what I saw that Crystal user was trying to seal with with some sort of sealing jutsu." I explained.

"Sempi." Yamato muttered, looking at Kakashi.

"We finally know what their looking for, but it's far from what we expected. Either way, our priority is escaping the mist.  Then we'll sort out our information and plan our next move." Kakashi muttered.

"Yuki, let me heal your arm real quick." Sakura demanded, taking my arm in her hand.

I glanced over at Naruto, but quickly looked away when I found that he had been looking at me as well. Sakura seemed to notice, because a sly smile formed on her face.

That will be the end of chapter 40! I'm sorry for the tardiness again :/ but it was thanksgiving and I had been in change of all of the desserts for the thanksgiving, so it took me a little longer than I would have liked to write this chapter. I hope you guys liked it though! Comment and vote, and if you haven't yet then fan too ^-^
