Chapter 35- So... there is such thing as a Immortal? Damn, I lost the bet.

I do not own Naruto, only my OC's

A cool blast of air rushed to greet me as I walked in the store. "Hello!" Greeted the employees, I smiled and nodded in greeting.

Quickly, I maneuvered to the back of the store, where something had caught my eye. I smiled softly at the toad neckless, fingering the price tag I picked up the piece of jewerly. My thoughts instantly going to Jiraiya, bringing a grin to my face.

'It's not too expensive, and I bet I can put some of my crystal on the neckless.' I nodded to myself and turned to walk to the cash register. I paused, looking at the wallets. Slipping my hand into my pocket I puled out my old, and torn up wolf wallet.

My eyes lingered on my old wallet, remembering it was a gift from my mother. Slipping it back into my pocket I went to take a peak at the wallets. My eyes locked onto the childish ones, more importantly, the red and black wolf. I smiled brightly, picking up the wallet.

'It looks just like Ace!' I thought, holding the wallet closer to my face. 'I could get a new wallet, then put this one that Mom gave me on the shelf. Besides, I've had this one for quite some time, and there's a hole in the bottom.'

Nodding to myself I held my two items and proceeded to the cash register. The woman looked at my items before looking at me and smiled.

My new wallet now in my pocket, next to my other one, I looked at the neckless. A smiled on my face as I looked at the toad.  'I'll give this to Grandpa-sage next time I see him.' I paused, looking at a leaf on the ground. 'And maybe I'll put some of my chakra on it, like the neckless Mom gave me.'

Nodding to myself I walked for my house, but I didn't far once I saw Shikamaru. He spotted me and walked towards me. My eyes landed on the bag in his hand, I narrowed my eyes for a moment before looking at him.

"Hey, Shikamaru." I offered a small smile, one of which he returned. A small sigh of relief for my lazy friend escaped me as I noticed he was doing a little better than yesterday.

"Hey, Yuki." He paused, I tilted my head in a unasked question. "You know how yesterday you said if I ever needed any help, I could just ask you, right?"

I nodded, "Yeah, what's up?"

His eyes met mine, "I need you to go with Ino, Choji, and I. We're going to find those two."

While his answer was vague, I knew what he meant. I nodded, knowing he needed this. "Okay, when do you want to meet?"

I walked to the gates, the village now dark and the streets empty. My feet echoed through the roads, my chakra was at full level due to my resting yesterday and today. The wind blew, my hair flowing with it in streams of blond.

Having already visited the K.I.A stone to talk to my parents and clan members, I walked strate to the gates. I was greeted by a small glowing light coming from a lighter, team ten waiting for me.

Ino looked at me, a small smile set on her face. "Yuki's here."

Choji looked from me to Shikamaru. "Let's go, Shikamaru."

Shikamaru snapped the lighter lid closed, making the light disappear. "Yeah," We started walking for the exit of the village.

"Freeze!" I froze as I heard Tsunade's voice.

I turned to look at a angry Tsunade, as did team ten. "Granny Tsunade." I muttered.

She looked at up, "Where do you think your going?"

Shikamaru looked at Tsunade, ""Your orders are still in effect. We regrouped with different team members and are going to continue our mission."

Tsunade walked closer to us, her voice angry. "I don't tolerate selfishness!" I gulped as she stood before us. "Shikamaru, I'll assign you a platoon I've organized personally. And I'll deploy you once you come up with a sound plan."

"Just send them as backup later. I've already got a plan worked out for the four of us." He looked at me, "Well, as long as this baka here dosen't ruin it."

My eye twitch, "This is what I get for being a nice friend..."

"Enough!" Tsunade shouted. "Asuma is dead. It's just the three of you now, and your bringing Yuki into this."

"Granny Tsunade, Asuma may not be here in body, but he is still with team ten." I said, she looked at me.

"Of all people, you're going to help them with revenge?! Out of all people, I would have thought you wouldn't do that, Yuki. After what's happened with Sasuke!" I froze, then looked down. Tsunade didn't stop there, she looked at Shikamaru. "And you're putting revenge before common sense! This isn't like you at all. You'll be throwing your lives away."

I remained silent, my eyes on the ground. "We're not stupid enough to go out to die. It's just..." Shikamaru paused.

"It's just what?" Tsunade asked.

"If I let it go like this, I'd live the rest of my life regretting it." Shikamaru flicked on the lighter. "And I can't think of a more troublesome way to live."

"Grow up." Tsunade said. "Shinobi will always be surrounded by death. Some deaths are harder to deal with than others, but you have no future if you can't get over them!"

"Carying this lighter Asuma sensei gave me, I feel like Asuma sensei's nearby. That he's watching us... That he's protecting us. This lighter stays with me until I've settled things." Shikamaru muttered, looking down at the lighter.

"Get real! There is only four of you, and two S-rank criminals! This is something that needs a five-man-cell-" Tsunade got cut off.

"So all you need is a fifth member?" I looked over to see Kakashi leaning on the gate, his arms crossed.

"Kakashi sensei!" Ino exclaimed.

"I'll serve as captain for team ten, and Yuki." Kakashi walked for us, his hands in his pockets. "How's that sound?"

"Kakashi, what are you..." Tsunade muttered.

"They're going to go anyway, and Yuki will probably follow after them." He looked at Tsunade. "If you assign me as their captain, I'll keep an eye on them,..." He leaned down to whisper something in her ear.

She looked at us, her eyes landed on me last. I met her eyes, "They aren't like Sasuke, Granny. This is not the same thing, it may look like it to you, but I know it's different."

She sighed, shaking her head. "Fine. Do what you want!"

Ino and Choji cheered. Shikamaru looked at Kakashi. "Kakashi sensei, is Naruto going to be okay?"

Kakashi held up his bandaged right arm. "Yup, Naruto dosen't need me around anymore. So, I left him with another captain."

Team ten smiled, Shikamaru looked amused. "Naruto..." They looked at me. "Thinking about that, Yuki, weren't you doing the same thing?"

I smiled, "I got it down, well most of it anyway. I'll have to modify it later."

Kakashi smiled, "Alright, Team Asuma, ready to go?"

"Yeah!" Ino and Choji shouted.

I looked at Tsunade, she still looked worried as they started walking. "Don't worry, Granny." She looked at me. "I'll make sure everyone makes it back. Besides, there is two medic nin's on this team." She nodded, seeming a little more reasured.

I turned to catch up with everyone, barely catching her works. "Good luck Yuki..."

"Let's hear your plan first, Shikamaru." Kakashi said as we all sat in a clearing.

"Sure, I'll just have to change it up a little for you, Kakashi sensei." Shikamaru said.

"Right. Whenever you're ready." Kakashi nodded.

"I'll break it down into several different scenarios and explain each one. Things will vary depending on what happens, so I need you to remember them all." Shikamaru looked at all of us, his eyes lingering on me for a moment longer, almost like he expected me to forget the plans.

"Here Kakashi sensei, take this. Use it when you see an opening. I'm counting on you." Shikamaru handed Kakashi the small object. I sat beside Kakashi, a slight pout on my face.

"Got it." Kakashi nodded. "I've gotta hand it to you. You've learned quite a deal about the enemy  for having only encountered them once.

"There's still a lot we don't know about the other one, unfortunately." Shikamaru sighed.

"Are you sure one of them is immortal?" I asked.

Shikamaru sighed, looking at me. "Yes, Yuki. How else could he have his head cut off and still be alive?"

I huffed, "Damn it, that means I lost the bet with Naruto-kun. And here I was, thinking that I could make him pay for all the food I would eat."

Ino snickered beside me, "Oh yeah, didn't you say that if you lost the bet that you would let Naruto kiss you."

I nodded, "Yeah, but if I had won the bet, then he would have paid for a meal at Ichiraku's." I sighed, "Oh well."

"Yuki, Ino, focus." Shikamaru interrupted. "Yuki, don't forget the strategies I told you about, it's based on the information that I've gathered."

I nodded, slightly embarrassed since I knew I was very likely to forget. While I was smart, or so I've been told, I seem to have a hard time remembering things.

"Our probability of success depends on whether or not you commit these to memory." Shikamaru said.

"Okay," Ino muttered while Choji and I nodded.

We stood up, Kakashi looked at us. "Ready to go?"

"Yes," Ino nodded.

"First we have to pick on their trail." Shikamaru said.

"So we search the path they took from the fire temple to the exchange point. I can get one of my wolfs to get the scents." I nodded.

Shikamaru looked at me, a small smirk on his face. "Well, maybe you're not as much of a baka as I thought."

I frowned, my eye twitching. "I'm not a baka, Shikamaru. You're just abnormally smart."

"Well then, after Yuki summons a wolf, let's get a move on." Kakashi said.

I nodded and bit my thumb and performed handsigns. Slamming my hand to the ground I shouted, "Summoning jutsu!"

"What the-" My eyes widened at the voice. The female wolf turned to look at me, her eyes narrowing. "Yuki, what do you want?"

"Damn it," I whispered looking at Rain, Alpha wolf's daughter. While her father was the size of Chief toad, she was still the size of Ace. Although, unlike my other summoning, we didn't get along as well as the other wolfs.

"Rain-" She cut me off.

"Alpha Rain!" She growled.

I raised a eyebrow, "You don't get the Alpha title yet, you father is still the Alpha." I leaned down to glare at her while she leaned in to glare at me.

"Why did you answer my summoning anyway?" I asked, my arms crossed.

She snarled, "I thought it was maybe someone else that signed the summoning contract. Not you, Yuki."

Kakashi rubbed his head, "Um, Yuki?"

I looked at him, "What, Kakashi sensei?"

"are you and Ra-" He paused seeing the glare Rain sent him. "Alpha Rain going to be fighting the entire time? Cause we do need to hurry."

I looked down at the silver white wolf, she met my eyes. Huffing she looked away, "Yeah, whatever. I'll help out Yuki."

A small smile formed on my face before I tackled her. "Awe, Rain! You're going to help me!" Her eye twitched as I rubbed my cheek against her furry head.

"Stop, before I change my mind, you baka." She growled.

I stopped and stood up, ignoring the small insult. "Okay, we're ready to go."

Rain stopped, "The scent ends here, the rest  of it's been washed away." She looked at me. "So, what else is there left to do?"

"Well, you can go if you want since there is no scent left anymore for you to track, or you can stay here for when we run into the enemies. If you remember, when we weren't fighting each other, we did pretty good together." I smiled, she looked at me.

"Well, I guess if I wasen't here you would probably get hurt, so I'll stay." I didn't miss the small smile of her wolf face.

Kakashi looked at Shikamaru. "So, what's the plan now?"

Shikamaru looked annoyed, "Any plans we come up with are pointless if we can't find the enemy."

"Well, it's clear that they are heading for Konoha, to get Asuma sensei's corps, and capture Naruto-kun. So it's likely that they will pass through this area, but we still need to see if this is the same rout." I said.

"Well, how do you suppose we find them?" Kakashi asked.

Shikamaru looked around, his eyes landing on a bird in the sky, he smirked. "We use that."

I looked at Ino as she did her mind transfer jutsu. Rain looked at Ino as her body slumped before sitting down next to me.

I stood next to Kakashi while Shikamaru and Choji stood next to Ino, who was rested against a tree. when she suddenly shouted I looked over at her.

"You okay, Ino?" Choji asked.

She sighed, "That was close."

"Did they notice?" Shikamaru asked.

"I think we're okay." Ino said, looking at Shikamaru. "They're definitely taking a different rout to Konoha. Both of them are at two o'clock, ten minutes from here."

I watched as Shikamaru's shadow followed after the two akatsuki members. One glanced at the other before they both jumped away. Quickly, I threw the three kunai's with explosive tags, one wasn't with a explosive tag though.

The silver-haired man scuffed as Shikamaru's shadow continued to go towards him. "Like I'd fall for that twice."

His partner looked up, "Hidan, look up!"

I smirked when Shikamaru threw two more blades's with tags on them, this time though they were Asuma's chakra blades. "Hidan dodge!"

My smirk grew wider when they were trapped. Shikamaru jumped down from the tree. "Shuriken shadow mimic jutsu... successful."

"You bastard. You're shadow never touched us. How'd you-" Shikamaru cut of the silver haired man, who I had guessed to be Hidan.

"Those blades I threw at you were chakra blades.I'm sure you're familiar with them. They're made from a special metal that lets them absorb their user's elemental chakra." Shikamaru explained.

"Kakuzu, what the hell is this dick talking about?!" Hidan demanded.

"Moron. Just shut up, Hidan." Kakuzu ordered, not sparing a glance at Hidan.

"Using the chakra they absorb, their wielder can use them as a base for his techniques. But all you need to know is that I'm using my shadow mimic jutsu through the blades. They're mementos from Asuma, the man you two murdered!" Shikamaru glared.

"They thirty-five million ryu?" Kakuzu muttered.

I glared at him, "Did he really just call Asuma by his money bounty?" I muttered angrily.

Rain huffed beside me, "I don't like people like them."

Shikamaru stood up, "Now, it's time to end this."

"Why the hell are you being so quiet?!" Hidan shouted, glancing at his partner. "You had to go and get yourself caught too, didn't you! Oh man, we're screwed, aren't we?!"

"Oh, you're screwed. According to my plan, the second I captured you, it was over." Shikamaru raised a eyebrow.

Shikamaru had his shadow connect with Hidan's before picking up Asuma's chakra blade. "What the hell are you going to do now?" Hidan asked.

Shikamaru  smirked. "Oh, I'm not going to make the same mistake twice in a tow. You two are about to be cornered.I'll make sure to target the right guy first this time." He slowly started to move backwards, Hidan doing the same moving towards his blade.

"Ive got your face momorized!" Hidan shouted as he grasped onto his blade. "I'm gonna destroy you if it'ss the last thing I do!"

Shikamaru only smirked and began running. "Not the sharpest knife in the drawer, are you?"

Just as Shikamaru was going to make Hidan slice off Kakuzu's head off, he ducked. I cursed silently as I saw a wirey arm sprout from the ground, pulling Asuma's chakra blade out from Kakuzu's shadow.

Rain and I tensed, ready to charge anytime. I narrowed my eyes as I noticed he has detached his arm from his body, and now the arm was attaching itself back onto his body.

"You said we were finished, but you had no idea what I was capable of." Kakuzu said. "So keep your distance, and come up with a new strategy. You actually think, unlike my partner. But even if you analyze every aspect of battle, things don't always go according to plan."

Hidan looked smug, until he realized he had been insulted by Kakuzu. "Kakuzu! What the fuck was that 'unlike my partner' bullshit?!"

Kakuzu looked at Hidan, "Exactly what it sounded like, moron."

Shikamaru charged again at Kakuzu, using Hidan's body to try to inflict harm. "Damn it! My body- Kakuzu! Do something!" Hidan shouted.

Kakuzu kept on jumping back, "You're forcing me back!" I smirked when his back hit the tree. Choji charged at Kakuzu, his hair turning spiky as he rolled at him.

"Nikudan Harisensha!" Choji shouted as he landed on Kakuzu.

We all watched, the smoke blocking our sight. Choji slid out from the smoke, his eyes narrowed. I glanced at Rain.

"Rain, if an enemy gets around us, cover me. I'm going into sage mode." She looked at me, slightly annoyed but nodded.

I sat fully down, my legs crossing as I sat indian style. My eyes closed as I concentrated. Rain's voice filled my ears, "Yuki, Kakashi striked. He hit the Kakuzu guy with some lightning  jutsu."

I remained still, absorbing natural chakra. 'So, Kakashi's gone. Guess I'll be going soon too.'

"Yuki, Kakuzu's down. You better hurry up." Rain's impatient whisper said.

Once my sences and physical appearance changed I stood up, Rain beside me. My newest jutsu formed in my hand. I released my seal on my kunai, appearing just before Hidan. His eyes widened when he saw me.

"Who the fuck is she?!" He shouted as I started to run for him.

Just before I could reach him, Kakuzu appeared and kicked my in the stomach. I coughed as I was sent back into the rock that Kakuzu had been cornered just moments ago.

Kakuzu looked at me as Rain ran to me. "Wolfs, and crystal style. Ah, you're Konoha's crystal wolf. The one Deidera warned us about."

Hidan looked at me as I stood up, almost completely unharmed. "Oh! So that's the bitch that Deidera said was hot and a good fighter."

I looked at Rain, "I thought you said Kakuzu was down."

She huffed at me, "Oh shut up! That's what it looked like!"

"Yuki, are you okay?" I looked at Kakashi, who stood beside me.

I nodded, "Yeah, just a few scratches. Sage mode sure helps me."

"Nice. Now let's slaughter these idiots." Hidan smirked.

"Save the girl. Leader-sama wants her." Kakuzu ordered, Hidan frowned.

"I was gonna use her for my sacrifice!" With a look from Kakuzu he shut up. "Whatever, we'll just kill the rest."

"I intend to." Kakuzu pulled off his akatsuki robe. My eyes narrowed on the four faces that were stitched onto his back.

I cursed when Kakuzu's body looked like it was pulling apart, and Shikamaru's shadow jutsu disappeared on Hidan. The four faces flew off Kakuzu's body, and formed four different bodies.

Hidan streatched, a smirk on his face. "So, are you ready to kill them, Kakuzu?"

"Yeah," Kakuzu nodded.

"Lord Jashin, watch me!" Hidan threw his hand in the air, a sick smile on his face. "I'm gonna go nuts, seriously, go crazy, non-stop insane on all of them!"

One of the body's that Kakuzu released fell to the ground, seeming like it died. Hidan looked down at it before looking at his partner. "Kakuzu!  One of them died right after you let it out!"

Kakashi, Rain and I stood behind Kakuzu and Hidan, watching them. "God, could you suck anymore?!" Hidan shouted.

"Kakashi sensei," I muttered, he glanced at me. "I think that was the one that you ended up hitting with your Chidori."

He nodded, "I was just thinking the same thing, Yuki."

"Hidan, sit this one out." Kakuzu ordered, looking over at the silver-haired man. "I';m going to fight them."

The immortal didn't seem to take to this nicely. "Hold up! No way! I'm getting really pissed that they keep tricking me!" He smirked, "Let's do it like always, okay?"

Kakuzu glanced at Hidan before nodding. Hidan smirked and charged at me. I formed quick handsigns. "Crystal sword!" Quickly, I blocked his triple-bladed scythe with my crystal sword. "Kakashi sensei, go help Shikamaru. I have Rain to back me up." He nodded and ran off.

Rain growled and lundged as we stayed in the same position, our weapons chaking as we tried to push off one another. Hidan looked at her and sent a kick, she whined as she was sent away.

I pushed off Hidan's wepon and swung again, our weopns clashed. He grinned giddy as he pushed me off and swung again.

'God, this guy's creepy!' I thought as I ducked under his attack.

"For a hot chick, you're not too bad." He laughed as I sent a kick to his side. To his surprise he was sent across the field as I had a good amount of strength in my kick.

Too soon though, he was back. But before he could swing his weapon, Rain jumped and grabbed his triple-bladed scthe.

"Hey, you fucking mutt!" He shouted. My eyes widened as I saw one of the body's that Kakuzu had released appear behind Hidan. It released a wind that pushed everyone back, my eyes widened as I saw Rain get hit by a tree branch, going through her leg.

Her jaw opened, releasing Hidan's wepon. With a poof of smoke she was sent back.

"Yuki!" I heard Shikamaru's shout from the loud winds as we were thrown around. Luckily I was still in sage mode, or else these flying trees would have hurt more.

Once the jutsu wore off, and I was on the ground again I saw a big charge of lightning head for Shikamaru and Choji. "Shit!" I cursed, running for them, Hidan forgotten for now.

I appeared just in time to perform a jutsu. "Crimson fruit!" I shouted.

I sighed in relief that I had gotten there in time, the lightning struck the walls of my crystal. I looked at the three men behind me. Kakashi's jounin vest was now gone, and his mask was torn. Other than a few scratches, Shikamaru and Choji were fine.

Once the lightning stopped, I released my jutsu. Ino jumped down next to us. "Are you guys alright?" She asked.

We nodded and looked back at the enemies. Hidan walked beside Kakuzu, a smirk on his face as he looked at me. "I'm impressed. You're the first person to survive that combo, Yuki Okami. I guess that's why Leader-sama want you."

I glared, my feet sliding into a defence stance. 'It's a good thing I'm in sage mode. I can probably do two more of those jutsu's, but at least one more.'

"Yuki, you should probably use your Sharingan." Kakashi muttered, I nodded.

As my eyes turned crimson red, Kakuzu performed a handsign. My eyes widened as I realized how big and powerful of a flame it would be.

"Guys run!" I shouted as the blast of fire made it's way towards us. 'If we don't get away from this, we'll be done for.'

End of chapter 35! I'm hope you guys like it :) and I decided to surprise you and make a upload today, and a much longer one than I've been doing. Also, you guys go to meet a new character, Rain one of Yuki's summoning. So, what do you guys think of Rain? She's not quite like the other wolfs, who all seem to like Yuki a whole lot and respect her and all that.

Comment and vote guys ^-^ it makes my day when I see you guys doing that. And if you have any stories you want me to read, just comment and ask me to read it. I'm always looking for new stories to read; or if you ever need any help on anything, I don't mind helping out with a story.

 This chapter is not edited.
