I do not own Naruto

I opened my eyes to see Naruto snoring beside me. My sleepy eyes looked around confused before it all came back to me. 'Oh yeah, he brought me back to the hotel room.' I smiled before noticing that Sakura and Sai were missing.

"Oi! Naruto-kun get up!" I poked hit head.

He responded with a snore and hugging his pillow closer to his chest. "Mmm, ramen...." He mumbled trailing off, I giggled.

"Naruto-kun, time to get up." I softly shook his shoulder. His eyes opened slowly as he looked at me. "Oh hey Yuki-chan, you look pretty...." His voice showed he was still sleepy.

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, yeah now get up."

His eyes suddenly opened fully as he caught what he just said. His face turned red as he saw me looking at him. I leaned down, "Hey, are you okay? You're turning red, you don't have a fever do you?"

"N-No! I don't have a fever, I-I'm going to go get ready." With that he jumped up and ran for one of the bathrooms. I shrugged and walked over to another bathroom that we had.

I sighed as the hot water hit my skin, I rubbed off all the dirt from my training yesterday.Looking closer I noticed someone had taken all the wood out of my skin and healed me. I smiled knowing it must have been Naruto and Sakura.

'Okay, now that I have all my anger out, I should try harder to be a little nicer to Sai. Even if he is a jerk to me, I can try. Although if he says anything bad about the team, he's a dead man.' I nodded to myself.

I turned the water off wrapped a towel around me then stepped out the shower.

"Yuki, we're leaving-" Sai stopped as he walked in the bathroom.

I froze as we stared at each other, my eye twitched. My face started to burn as his face stayed emotionless.

"So, I can see you don't have any balls. That's good-"

"Get out!" I shouted as I grabbed a kunai and threw it at him. He closed the door just before it hit him.

My face still burned as I threw on some clothes. My hair, now mostly dry, hung loosely down my back. I strapped my kunai pouch around my waist. I stopped when I saw one of the kunai's fall out. I knelt down and picked it up, a smile formed as I looked at the crystal kunai.

'I should visit the Kessho village soon.' I thought as I shoved on everything else.

Opening the door I saw Sakura waiting for me. She smiled when she saw me, "You ready?"

I shook my head, my hair in my face. She narrowed her green eyes looking into my shadowed ones.

"What happened?" She asked.

"Nothing, I'm just going to talk to Sai." I chuckled darkly, Sakura backed up from me.

Walking outside I saw Naruto and Sai. My embarrassment was replaced with anger as I saw Sai's emotionless face.

"Hey Yuki-chan!-" Naruto stopped smiling when he saw my fist and teeth clenched.

I punched Sai in the face before anyone could stop me. Much like when Sakura did, he flew back, Yamato approached appearing beside me.

"Yuki!" He yelled.

I ignored him. "Next time knock! You're just lucky I still had my towel on and that I'm trying to be nice!"

Naruto blinked while it processed in his head. Yamato's eyes widened as he caught on quickly, I guess he didn't mind my action as much as before.

"I'll wait out the hotel for you guys." As I walked off I guess it finally registered in Naruto's brain on what I said.

"Sai! I'll kill you!" I heard him shout as I walked off, along with Yamato telling Naruto to calm down.

"Thank you, please come again!"

Yamato turned around. "Everyone, you getting along better now? Dispite what happened with Sai, Yuki?"

"Why would I be with someone like-" Naruto stopped seeing Yamato's scarey face.

"Maybe I should have gone for terror, huh?" Yamato asked, shadows covering parts of his face fraking out Naruto and I.

"No worries! We're best buddies now! Right Yuki-chan?" Naruto asked as he waved his hands around.

I nodded as I hung behind naruto, swead dropping down my face. "Yup, great great friends!"

Yamato nodded happy with our actions of fear, Sakura looked slightly confused. "Naruto and Yuki seem to be having fun." Sai stated with a fake smile.

Sakura turned to him her eyebrow raised. "What're you talking about? That's definitely a fake smile."

"Is that so?" Sai murmured.

" 'The best way to pass something bad is with a smile', you said that yourself." Sakura pointed to Sai.

"Oh, I did, did I?" He asked.

I stopped my fake smile, when I saw her eyebrow and mouth twitch. She forced a smile dispite the annoyance displayed on her face.

Naruto still had a annoyed look on his face. I put a arm over his shoulder, and leaned my head aginst his other shoulder before pulling on the side of his mouth.

This forced a crocked smile, I giggled. "Smile Naruto-kun! We're going to have Sasuke back soon, there is no time to be grumpy!"

He softly pushed me away, I frowned looking down. 'I know he's not mad at me, but he's too focused on hating Sai. Although, it still hurts being pushed away, a different kind of hurt.' I looked down at my feet confused at my feelings, soon I found myself lagging behind as I dragged my feet.

The wind blew leafs around us, my hair wiped around my face like blonde ribbons. I saw Naruto look over at Sai with a serious look on his normally goofy one.

We stopped, "This should be good." Yamato mumbled to himself.

"What's wrong Captin Yamato?" Sakura asked.

He walked towards the trees, "Over here."

We all looked at each other confused, "Hurry." He said walking though the grass.

"Okay!" We all started walking towards Yamato, although still confused.

As we walked under a log I heard Naruto mumble, "Why'd we come out here?"

Sakura yelled when a spider almost landed on her shoulder, hitting the log causing the poor log to fall to the ground, the spider with it. "Captain Yamato, what's the meaning on this?!"

'So that spider finally made you ask Yamato why we are out here?' I thought with a sigh.

She looked annoyed and a little nervous. "The path we were on was definitely correct." She walked faster, passing Naruto and I up. "Captain!" She demanded again.

"Lady Tsunade must have told you." Yamato finally spoke up.

"What's he talking about?" Naruto asked, I nodded keeping silent.

Yamato stopped, "The intel Sakura get might be a trap. The Akatsuki might be waiting in ambush at Tennchikyou." He turned to Naruto and I. "Naruto, they are after you. And you, Yuki, they may be after you too." I looked away from Yamato and to the ground, my teeth clenched.

I could feel both Sakura's and Sai's stare. "It couldn't be.." Naruto mumbled.

"I think the probability of that is low though." Yamato said. "But still, we'd best be careful." He turned and continued walking.

I nodded in agreement and continued to walk in between Naruto and Sakura. My eyes fixed on the ground, 'What are these feelings I'm having? Could I be sick? I guess when I get back I should ask Tsunade.'

"Grom here out, we're going to travel in a way so as to avoid being spotted." Yamato inquired.

"Riht, got it." Naruto answered.

We came to a stop in a clearing. Yamato looked around, "This place should be good."

"You don't mean.." Sakura whispered.

"We're sleeping here tonight." Yamato said happily.

"Come on! If we need a place to sleep, there was a nice place just a little bit back where we could-" Yamato interrupted Naruto.

"Everyone step back please." He made a handsign. "Wood release, four pillar house technique."

I blinked as wood formed from the ground and formed a two story house. My mouth dropped as I looked at the huge house. 'My crystal style can't do that!' I thought as I looked at Yamato, who sat on the roof of the house.

"We'll be camping here tonight." He said, his arms crossed.

"I don't think this is really camping." I mumbled. Naruto grinned and was the first to run into the house, Sakura and Sai soon after. I sighed but followed after them.

"Wow!" Sakura exclaimed. Quickly we all through off our shoes then walked to the wooden stairs.       

"So inside is like this!" Naruto smiled, his upset mood gone. "This room must be nice too!"

We all saw a sign as walked to out room. I chuckled when I saw it was empty. "It's a little empty on the inside." Sakura mumbled.

Naruto walked in first, "It still beats camping, right Yuki-chan!"

I looked up at him and nodded smiling. "Yup!"

I walked in and set my bag down, then used it as a pillow. Naruto walked over to my side then did the same. "Now then, time to take a breather. Now if only there was a bath too."

I giggled, my arms folded under my head. I looked at Naruto he was giving Sai, who had come to sit next to him, a weird look.

Sai paused what he was doing adn looked at Naruto, "Is there a problem?"

Naruto's eye twitched before he huffed and grabbed his bag. "It's nothing, come on Yuki-chan."

He grabbed one of my hands, hauling me up before I could say anything. Quickly I grabbed my bag as he dragged me across the room. Sakura sighed as we passed her but said nothing.

I sat with my back against the wall, next to Naruto as a candle was the light to the room. "Everyone gather here." Yamato said as he sat next to the candle. "Also Sakura,  there's something I want to ask."

"Yeah?" She asked turning to our captain.

"It's about Sasori of the Akatsuki. I wanted to ask earlier, but we agreed not to talk about such things yesterday. So tell me everything tonight. You're the only one who saw Sasori after all." Yamato said.

Naruto stood up, then with his face turning a little red, offered me a hand. I ignored the redness in his face since it was a little warm in the room, smiled and took his hand. After he helped me stand we went to sit next to Yamato and the candle.

"I've read the files from the sand, but still, if he has any habits or outstanding personality traits, please tell me about them in detail." Yamato showed a picture of Sasori.

"Why are yo asking that?" Naruto asked.

I spoke up, "Because the spy from Orochimaru is expecting Sasori. He needs to know everything important about Sasori so he doesn't seem supishious."

"Of course, the spy may not even show up." Sakura added in.

"That is true." Yamato confirmed.

"Then this whole mission would be pointless." Naruto growled.

"Spies have to take great risk, after all. It means he will be extremely careful." Sai put in his two cents. I narrowed my eyes at him, I just can't seem to find myself to trust him.

"So, will Captin Yamato be transforming?" Naruto asked.

"That's the plan. Sasori was moving in this puppet, after all. I'm the most suited as a user of wood techniques." Yamato showed a picture of Sasori.

"I agree." Sakura nodded.

"Also, just in case it's a Akatsuki trap, I'll go in alone first." He looked at Sakura.

"Judging be his way of saying it and the fact that he was near death, I think he was being sincere. We know there was a spy named Yira in the sand." Sakura looked thoughtful.

"Still we need to be careful, just in case. Until I give toe signal, please stand by." Yamato ordered.

"In any case, that spy must be an extremely resourceful person." Sai answered.

"Let's do it." Naruto and I said at the same time.

"Well then, let's get down to business. I'll get into the details of this mission. Since out objective is to capture, we must, under no circumstances, kill the target. Not even if we get into combat. If he dies, important information will be lost. Also, the goal of this mission is not to fight. It's a delicate mission, so I'll move in first. You four will be back up." Yamato explained. "The plan is simple. Step one, I'll attempt to intercept the target. Step two, in case I am unsuccessful and get into combat you will engage the enemy as well. I will give the signal..."

(A/N Sorry but I am not going to write the whole  plan, if you don't remember it you can go back and read or watch it..)

"This is the real deal now. SO I'll decide our groups. Sakura and I will make one team. Naruto, Sai and Yuki will be the other team." Yamato said.

I went to glare at Sai, Naruto seemed to have the same idea. 'This can't end well, both of us hate Sai. Yamato must either be trying to improve our teamwork, or be really stupid.' I thought as I griped the edge of my skirt.

I saintly head Sakura sigh, she must be thinking the same thing as me. Sai fake smiled again, "I'm counting on you two."

"Captin Yamato!" Naruto looked at our captain.

"Yes Naruo?" He sounded so calm.

"Why? Why are we teaming up with him?" Naruto demanded pointing to Sai.

"Yeah! Why not just switch Sakura-san with Sai?" I demanded, but stipped seeing Yamato do the face.

"Is someting wrong?" He asked, he was doing the creepy face.

Sweat rolled down our faces. "N-Nothing at all!" We fake smiled.

"Good to hear it." Yamato nodded his face returning to normal.

"Um, Captin Yamato?" Sakura asked.

"Yeah?" There he goes sounding perfectly calm again.

"If we're forming teams, I agree with Yuki-san. Us three would work better together. We've been working together for a long time, and we know each others ability's pretty well." She shouted hopeful in changing his opinion, I nodded along with Naruto in agreement.

"Sakura." Our captin said.

"Yes?"

"We are lucky to have two medic's on our team. You are one of them, the other is Yuki. We can't afford to let both of you get injured, if I could I would have both you and Yuki with me. But seeing as how well Yuki and Naruto get along together I'll risk it, but you're staying with me. I trust Naruto and Sai to keep Yuki safe." Yamato answered.

Both Sakura and I opened our mouth's to say something, but closed it knowing he was right. He gave a small smile, "You two understand, right?"

We both nodded.

Naruto, Sai and I all hid behind a rock as we looked at the bridge. A cloaked figure, also known at Yamato, appeared on the other side.

"He's here." Naruto whispered.

We watched as he continued to walk down the bridge. I turned to look at 'Sasori', who really was Sakura walk towards the cloaked figure. My muscles tensed as I prepared to charge.

"Damn it, hurry it up!" Naruto growled.

"Calm down Naruto-kun." I said.

Finally 'Sasori' raised a fist. :That's the signal!" Naruto exclaimed, we nodded and jumped. We landed in front of the cloaked figure. Naruto kicked towards his face, he dodged and turned to run.

"Freeze!" Naruto shouted throwing a kunai, knocking the hood off Yamato.

Sakura released the jutsu. "Naruto, Yuki do it!"

I pulled a marked kunai. "Let's do it, Yuki-chan, Sai!"

Throwing the kunai, smirking when Yamato looked ready to block it. Releasing the seal, catching the kunai I smirked as I threw a punch. Yamato's eyes widened but he was able to block, as he caught my fist I brought my leg up to kick him, he blocked again and threw me away.

"Come on, fight me seriously." Yamato demanded as he threw Naruto away.

I looked at Naruto and his clone transformed into Sai. We all charged, I will admit Yamato is good, he was able to block each of us easily. Naruto performed the Rasengan, but it was his clone, who was supposed to be Sai. I sighed and performed hand signs, "Crystal release, crystal needles!"

Before my needles could trap Yamato, he moved out the way and performed hand signs. Wood formed from the ground trapping the transformed Sai, who lost his jutsu. The clone jumped at Yamato, knocking him to the ground.

I went to grab Yamato, but jumped back when Sai performed a jutsu that wrapped Yamato and Naruto together.

"Hey! Why'd you trap me too? Damn it Sai, untie me!!" Naruto shouted.

"Sai! Don't run off!" I shouted as I ran over to Naruto.

"Yeah! We already have Yamato." Naruto said.

Sakura ran over to us."Naruto, Yuki! What are you two doing? That isn't Captin Yamato!"

We looked at who we thought was Yamato. I giggled when I saw the face on the dummy, quickly I went to resume and get the snake off.

"What the hell!" Naruto shouted, again. "Some of a- Sai! Get your ass-"

"Naruto-kun! Stop shouting in my ear!" I snapped as I stopped trying to rip the snake to hit him in the head.

"Good job catching me, Sai." Yamato said as Sai untied him.

"Hey, hey, hey! Sai, you asshole!" Naruto growled, I pushed him back.

"Naruto-kun, calm down." I whispered.

"Okay! That does it for the simulation!" Yamato released the wood bridge he had.

"You bastard!" Naruto growled.

"What?" Sai asked.

"Have you ever heard the word 'friend'?" He asked looking at Sai. Sai simply pulled out a scroll and began to write on it.

"I asked you if you've ever heard of the word 'friend'?" Naruto asked again.

Sai continued to write. "Of course I have." He held up the scroll, written  on it was the word 'friend'. "What about it?"

"That's not what I mean you-" I stepped forward.

"Naruto-kun, calm down please. I know he's being a smart-ass, but please." I said.

"Don't blame me for your shortcomings." Sai murmured in his monotone voice.

"What!?" Naruto exclaimed.

"If you two hadn't been so easily provoked by the Captain, he wouldn't have noticed that I was hiding. And it would have been much easier to catch him." He answered.

"What are you getting at?" I demanded as I tried to keep myself calm.

"Even though Naruto transformed into me, the moment he used one of his own techniques it became obvious that it was really a shadow clone. And that in return, revealed out plan, prompting the Captain to use the replacement technique and retreat into the forest." Sai explained.

I clenched my fist as I spoke up. "If you knew it was a fake, then why did you keep Naruto trapped?"

Sai looked at me. "Trying to fight and protect someone who's lost his cool isn't an ideal situation. I considered the best was to successfully complete the mission, then took action."

Naruto clenched his teeth, "I will never accept you! Not at a friend, a comrad, or a member of team Kakashi!"

I looked down. "I agree with Naruto, after we get Sasuke back though, you won't be on our team. So their's no reason for me to say that you won't ever be accepted by me." With that I started walking towards the other direction.

"I wonder what Sasuke would have done in this situation." Sai mused causing both Naruto and I to stop. "Would he have fought while protecting you? After all, you consider him a friend, and a member of team Kakashi, right? That is, assuming you can still call someone who betrayed his village and seriously hurt you, a friend."

I flashed to Sai's face lifting him up by the collar of his shirt, my eyes blood red from the Sharingan as my anger consumed me. "As a matter of fact, yes Sasuke would have fought while protecting us. You have no right to talk bad about Sasuke, you can't talk bad about team seven , not until you've at least have been accepted as a member. As far as I'm concerned, you're worse then scum, abandoning Naruto like that. Just keep your mouth shut, you know nothing!" My eyes went back to their green as I dropped him.

"I'd do anything to save my friends. Even if that meaqns teaming up with you." Naruto said as he turned to walk off again.

I glared before walking in another direction. 'I need to be alone and calm down before I explode, stupid Sai.'

I leaned against a tree, the others still in sight. My hand went down to my mother's neck-less. 'Mom, please let me be able to deal with this, and not kill Sai.' Looking down at the crystal neck-less I gave a small smile, my mother's chakra was still in here.

'It's almost as green as your eyes.' She had said as she handed me the crystal. 'Some of my chakra is in here, that way if you ever need help, or you're low on chakra you can take some from the crystal. Try and save it though.' She had smiled as she handed me the green crystal and placed it around my neck.

I took a breath as I forced myself to calm down. "Come on guys, let's get moving!" Naruto yelled. "This'll be pointless is we don't make it there by noon tomorrow."

I ran over to him, a small smile on my face. Naruto looked at me and his angry soffened. "Yuki-chan, don't force yourself to smile because of me."

I looked back up at him, a small frown replaced the smile. "Let's just try to put up with Sai, okay? Promise me if I get upset you'll stop me from seriously hurting him, we can't let our emotions stop us from completing this mission."

He nodded understanding, "Okay, and you do that same for me." I nodded, a real smile forming onto my face as I held out a pinkie. He smiled back and hooked his pinkie through mine.

My heart raced as I looked up at his blue eyes, a forien feeling bubbling up in my stomach.

 End of Chapter 12! I hope it was good, and long enough. Also I'm not sure it it's just my computer or something, but it seems that chapter's 2-7 have been switched. If that's the case I'm going to try to fix that soon. Anyway, please comment and tell me what you think about the story, and voting would be nice. The next chapter will have Orochimaru, can't wait! I would love to hear some opinions from my readers, what do you want to see happen? Should I have Yuki come down with the illness again? I need some ideas please :)
