Chapter 11- I would rather spend a day in the wooden cage beating up Sai

I do not own Naruto

I arrived to see Naruto, Sakura, and Sai. Both of my real team mates were giving unsure and almost hateful looks at the fake smiling Sai. Yamato stood in the front of them, a look of unsureness as he looked at my team.

"Sorry I'm late!" I rubbed my head.

"Hey Yuki-chan! What took you so long?" Naruto asked as he and Sakura turned to me.

"Just helping a little kid with cute ears." I took a deep breath turning to see Sai. "Please excuse my actions from earlier, I let my emotions get the better of me. Let's not let that make us fail this mission."

Without waiting for his, most likley rude, answer Yamato turned. "Team Kakashi, let's head out now." As he started walking I followed and soon everyone else did too.

As we walked further I let myself fall behind to walk beside Naruto and Sakura, who shared my opinion of Sai.

The entire time Naruto stared glaring at Sai, Sakura would just glance at Sai unsure. I was in between glaring and unsureness as I looked at Sai.

Finally he turned to us, "Is something wrong?"

We only looked at him as our answer. "Please don't look at me so much. Or I'll hurt you."

"Stop talking annoyingly like that, teme!" Naruto shouted clenching his fist, an anime vein present on his forehead.

"I have no ill intentions." Sai said.

"Liar!" Naruto and I said in unison, only I said it more calmly while Naruto shouted.

"I was just hoping for such a situation." Sai murmured back.

"Situation?" Sakura asked looking at Sai.

Naruto stopped again. "So you do have ill intentions! You're no good after all!"

Everyone in our team stopped now, Sai turned towards Naruto, Sakura, and I. Finally Yamato slowly turned to look at us all.

"You really piss me off." Naruto growled bluntly.

"You can't just ignore the teams well-being and say that, Naruto." Yamato spoke up. "Kakasho-san must have taught you the importance of team work and trusting your team mates. You are the members of the great Kakashi-san 's team. So what's up with that?"

"This guy is not a member of team Kakashi" Naruto shouted my thoughts. "The last member of team Kakashi is Sasuke! He is just a replacement to fill in while Sasuke isn't here. I won't accept him as a member of the team!"

As everyone fell silent I spoke up. "I agree. Sai-teme is nothing but a fill in for Sasuke-kun. After this mission we will be a step closer to having him back."

"Well that puts me at ease as well." Sai said, the look on his face only irradiated me more. "Someone who betrayed the leaf and joined Orochimaru, I don't want to be put into the same group-"

I clenched my teeth and fist.

"As trash like that."

"B-Bastard!" Naruto shouted.

"I thought I wold you, Sai, never talk ill of my team mates, ever." I growled as I clenched my fist more, my nails breaking the skin causing blood to run down my fist.

But before either Naruto or I could do anything, Sakura stepped forward. She put her hand out stopping us.

"It's true that teamwork is important. Sai, Naruto and Yuki don't know you very well, so they may say too much sometimes." She put her hand down. "Sorry, please forgive them."

"Sakura-san." I whispered.

Yamato sighed grateful. "Thank goodness at least one of them isn't hot-headed."

Sai fake smiled again. "Oh no, there is nothing to forgive."

"Good." Sakura smiled, but her's looked forced. "That's good."

Just when Sai looked away for a second Sakura striked like a cobra. He flew back hitting the ground. Yamato looked shocked as Sai skidded against the ground.

I smirked, 'That's more like it Sakura.'

"You don't have to forgive me." Sakura said.

"You got me." Sai admitted, "With that fake smile."

"You don't know a thing about Sasuke-kun. You have no right to say things like that. I suggest you listen to Yuki's advise, and don't ever say anything bad about team seven, Sasuke included. If you do, I won't hold back, nor will I stop Yuki." Sakura glared harshly, I followed her example, only cracking my knuckles tempted to strike him now.

Naruto gulped, turning pale.

"Okay, I won't say anything bad in front of you two. Still, fake smiles can be used in such a way, I'll remember that." Sai muttered.

Naruto glared again. "You just got punched, what the hell do you think you're saying?!"

"The way to pass something bad is with a smile. Even if it is a fake smile." Sai walked up to us. "Everyone will get fooled by that. That's what I read, it looks like it dosen't have much effect if I do it though."

That angered Naruto more, "Bastard!"

Yamato, who had been the cool-headed person until now, snapped. He performed a jutsu causing a wooden cage to grow from the ground.

'So he's a wooden type, cool!' I thought amazed.

Yamato crossed his arms. "You four, if this goes any further, it really will be troublesome. We have little time to get to Tenchikyou. Still, we should be able to solve this with a little detour."

I nodded leaning over between Sakura and Naruto. "Yeah, hopefully we can just hide his body."

Sakura rolled her eyes, Naruto looked at me confused while I snickered. Although when it finally registered in his head he grinned evilly as he looked at Sai, who hadn't noticed him looking.

"Now here's my proposal to you. You either spend a day beating each other up in this cage, or we take a detour to a hot springs town. You don't know me very well, right? I like doing things nicely, but I don't really hate leading by terror either." Yamato's face was covered my a shadow for a more dramatic effect.

"I wouldn't mide spending a day in a cage, just to beat the snot out of Sai-teme." I mumbled with my arms crossed.

Sakura hit my head. "Shut up Yuki, baka. I swear you're worse than Naruto sometimes." She shook her head.

"Hey!" Naruto and I shouted in unison. I pointed to the blonde, "He's the influence, blame him!"

Once again Naruto looked at me, "Hey!" He shouted again.

She ignored us as she stepped up. "We'll take the hot springs."

I rubbed my head, "Although I thought I said I wanted the other option." I stopped seeing Sakura turn to me.

"What was that Yuki?"

"Uh, n-nothing!"

I sighed as I sat in the water, Sakura next to me. "I guess this wasn't a bad option either."

She rolled her eyes playfully. I looked at the fence with narrowed eyes, my towel still wrapped tightly around me. "You sure mo one can see through that?" I asked.

"Yes Yuki-san, why?" Sakura asked.

"Just, um, nevermind."

"Stop talking about my balls!" I jumped at the sound of Naruto shouting.

I shook my head as I made my way to get out of the water. "Yuki-san, where are you going?" Sakura looked up at me.

"Just a more private area. I need to let out some stress." I answered back as I climbed out of the water and into the building.

"Okay, be careful!" She chilled.

"Okay, mother!" I rolled my eyes childishly.

After throwing my clothes on I walked out of the building. My breathing hitched as I tried to keep my anger under control. Something about Sai just seems to anger me, yet he almost reminds me of Sasuke. I shook that thought out of my head as I walked to the cover of the trees.

Biting my thumb I did familar handsigns. "Summoning jutsu!" With a poof of smoke came my medical expert, Melendy.

"M'lady." She frowned looking at me. "You seem upset, what's wrong?" She walked closer to me.

"Just, never mind. I'm just doing some medical training, could you help me?" I asked sitting down next to her.

She narrowed her wolf eyes at me, her motherly wold coming out. "Did someone do something to you? I swear if they hurt my pup, I'm getting the whole pack and beating-"

"Melendy, I said it was- is fine. Let's just work on that jutsu, you know which one." I performed handsigns, she paused me with her paw.

"And what are you going to practise on?" He snout curled up into a wolfish grin.

I pouted. "Good point. How about that bird?" I pointed over to a bird, who seemed to have a broken wing.

"I guess. So you're trying to take away the pain, great, but is there anything else you want to it? While it did come in handy with the sand ninja, I don't know what else that will come in handy with." Melendy said thoughtfully.

I anime fell, she was right. "Why didn't you say that earlier? I spent forever working on this jutsu, only to realize it is useless." I sighed. "I suck at anything medical, every time I say someone has a fever they don'e, and I can't even make up a good jutsu." I planted my face in the dirt.

"No you don't. So get your face out of that dirt and think. I, not did Tsunade spend our time training you medical ninjutsu just for you to give up. As for the fever thing," She giggled. "Nevermind, you'll understand soon enough."

"Granny only trained me for a week or two." I pointed out, she narrowed her eyes.

"Shush not. When you decide what you want that jutsu to really do, summon me up. I'll be training the pups." With a poof she was gone.

I sighed, looking at the bird I picked it up. "Don't worry, I'm not going to eat you, or just leave you. I'll heal your wing." I cooed as my hand glowed green.

Once the bones were reattached I let the bird go, smiling as it flew into the sky. "Well, if I'm not going to practice my medical, I should practice my taijutsu."

Slowly I wanter over to the tree that would serve as my victime. Till sundown I attacked the tree with a series of kicks and punches.

Finally I jumped stretching my leg out, with a chakra infused kick, the tree went down. I panted as I looked at the damage done to the tree. Multiple dents shown from my powerful hits, I smirked as I looked at the damaged tree.

Looking up at the not black sky I sighed and let myself fall to the ground. "I'll just rest my eyes for a minute." I promised myself as I closed my eyes.

 Naruto's Pov

"Where is she?" I muttered worried.

"Calm down Naruto, I'm sure Yuki is fine." Sakura said calmly.

"Yeah, but-" I took a fist full on my hair as I growled impatient. I looked behind me and pointed to Sai. "It's your fault that Yuki-chan went out!"

He looked at me. "It's not my fault that your idiot team mate went out to train and is still out."

A anime vein grew on my head, "What did you call her!?"

"She is simply an idiot bitch, why? Does it anger you when I say what she is?" He asked causing me to growl.

Before I could say anything Sakura stepped in. "Sai, what did I tell you about bad talking about team seven? While at the time I mainly meant Sasuke-kun, Yuki implies too. Don't ever, talk bad about her, Sasuke, or even Naruto, understand?" A dark and scary aura surrounded Sakura as she growled this out.

'Woah, maybe I was wrong? Last time I thought that Sakura disliked Yuki.' I thought as I backed sway from Sakura, walking to the door.

"Where are you going Nasruto?" Yamato asked as he saw me walking out.

"I'm going to look for Yuki." Was my simple reply before I walked out.

"Naruto! I'll come with you!" Sakura shouted just before I closed the door.

She sliped on her shoes then ran over to me. " Where do you think she is?"

"I heard a crash, looking at the woods I also saw a tree fall." I pointed in the direction. "She's probably over there."

She sweatdropped, "She mush have had a lot of frustration."

I nodded. "Yeah, most of the time that she leaves to train is to get out her anger. Although most of time she pushes herself too hard, so she falls asleep or knocks herself out."

Sakura laughed softly. "She sounds a little like you when it comes to trianing."

I gave a grin. "Yeah, I guess. Hey, I thought it was a little cool how you defended Yuki like you did. Not to sound rude, but I kinda thought you had disliked Yuki a little." I rubbed the back of my neck.

She shook her head. "No, well maybe at first. Bit I seem to think of her as,- as a little sister. She does act reckless, and I think you're a bad influence." She laughed and nudged me.

My eyes widened in shock. "W-Wait! You think I'm a bad influence?"

She nodded. "Well yeah. Think about it, you're perverted, pushing yourself so hard. She does the same when she sees you push yourself so hard. Even when she had that illness she pushed herself hard, like you do. But it can be a good thing too, she probably wouldn't be as strong as she is now." Sakura smiled, a smile that used to make my heart flutter.

'When did Sakura's smile stop affecting me?' I thought confused.

As we neared the area I saw the blonde on the ground. "Yuki-chan!" I shouted as I ran for her.

Her breathing was slow and deep, showing she was asleep. Her mouth was opened wide as she took in deep breaths, both arms spread wide on each side of her. I looked at her worried as I saw chips of bark in her arms, fist and legs. Blood, scratched and bruises covered her arms and legs.

"Yuki." Sakura muttered worried as her green eyes landed on Yuki. We both knelt down to her.

"Naruto, take out any chips of wood, I'll heal her after it's out." Sakura ordered as she did the same with Yuki's other arm. I nodded and did as Sakura asked, pulling out any pieced of wood that was found in her arms and hands.

"Does she do this often?" Sakura asked.

I nodded, "Yeah, sometimes at night she would leave and train until she passed out."

She shook her head, "Baka."

After pulling out the wood Sakura healed Yuki quickly.

"Okay, she's all healed." Sakura stood up.

I picked Yuki up and started walking. Her eyes fluttered open slowly. "Naruto-kun? Is that you?" She asked sleepily.

My heart beat picked up a little at the sound of her voice, I grinned. "You bet, go ahead and go back to sleep."

"M'kay." She snuggled into my chest, I felt my face turn red as she did so. Sakura giggled as she saw my red face. I'm just glad that Yuki isn't awake to see my blushing, she would think I had a fever.
