Chapter•Six
Maya's POV
"Where are we?" I asked as I looked around. As I looked around I couldn't see Julien. "Julien...Julien!" I yelled. "Boo!" said Julien behind me. "Oh my god, Julien don't do that!" I turned to him and playfully punched his arm. " Do you know where we're at?" He asked. "Not a single clue." I answered. The place we were at was curious place. I was worried but of course Julien looks like a four-year old in a candy shop. "Ssssssssshhhhhhhhh" I froze, I have a huge fear of snakes and that was a snake, maybe more than one. Julien was equally as scared as snakes as I do, he froze as well. I had been reading up on Greek mythology and the place we were in looked like Greece... "Julien, don't turn around." I whispered to him. He was on the edge of turning around. "Ssssssshhhhhhhh" "Julien, don't turn around." I told him. Julien is one of those people, when you tell then not to do something, they do it anyway. The snakes were getting closer, and then I felt a cold breath on the back of my neck, I knew what is was, Medusa. I looked at Julien, I saw a nasty, boney hand with long fingernails reach out to touch his back. "Julien, close your eyes, NOW!" I yelled. I suddenly felt something heavy around my neck. Something growing, my charm necklace turned into a knife. I look to my right, Julien, with eyes closed is up high in a tree, while Medusa was walking slowly toward him. This was my time, I walked over and know I was close behind her. I took my necklace off and put the knife on her neck. I heard a snap and crackling, I opened my eyes, her head was severed. She was dead, I stood there and my mind kept saying "I just killed a major Greek monster!" I was trying to pull traumatized Julien out of the tree. "Come on, I have a feeling thats not all of them."
