Seventy Five
Grace is with Nat and Okoye, fighting the rest of the Outriders, though they've fallen back towards the building, where Vision, Wanda, and Shuri still are.
"You are Iron Man's daughter?!" Okoye asks mid-battle. She's fighting with her spear, while Grace blasts more than punches. Nat uses her weapons too.
"Yeah!" Grace replies, blasting a midair Outrider with her chest blaster, knocking it back to the ground.
"And he is currently in space?!"
"Yep!"
"And you are here, in Wakanda, in this battle, and you're not even eighteen yet?!"
"Basically!"
Okoye stabs a Outrider through the neck, marveling, "There are some things in this world that I will never understand."
In the distance, while they continue to fight, they see the crafts outside the force field get closer, felling trees as they go, and then giant, bladed wheels emerge from the ground, going under the force field to get inside. They then roll forwards, and Grace hears T'Challa's voice through comms. "Fall back! Fall back now!"
The wheels break off from each other, going in different directions, covering too much ground.
Rhodey says, "Focus that fire on the left flank, Sam."
"I'm doing it," Sam replies.
Grace barely pays attention to them as she fights more Outriders. But then she sees more wheels heading for her — and therefore Nat and Okoye. "Nat!" she screams, getting her attention.
She and Okoye duck while Sai desperately tries to fly Grace away, but the wheels are coming too fast. All three of them should be crushed, but they're saved by a red light.
Wanda.
She lifts the wheels in the air, then turns, tossing them on an approaching group of Outriders. Grace lands on the ground while Nat and Okoye look up.
Okoye looks at Nat. "Why was she up there all this time?"
Grace laughs. "She's our secret weapon." Wanda smiles before moving farther away.
They begin fighting Outriders again, as they just keep coming, no end to them in sight. A few moments later, Sam says, "Guys, we got a Vision situation here."
"Somebody get to Vision!" Steve shouts.
Bruce replies, "I got him!"
Grace looks at Nat, and she nods. Grace says, "We're coming!" They take off, following Bruce.
"On my way," Wanda says, but then she grunts as if hit. Grace stops short, and Nat does too. They look at Okoye, who nods and follows them to a rut dug into the ground by the wheels Wanda threw. She's laying at the bottom of it, the female alien on top of her, threatening her.
"He'll die alone," she says of Vision. "As will you."
"She's not alone," Grace spits, stepping down into the rut. Nat stands behind the alien. Okoye spins her weapon on the other side of her, aiming her spear at her.
"That was so epic," Sai says quietly.
The alien roars and turns, going for Grace first with her blade, but Grace dodges and grabs her wrist, twisting, blasting her in the face with her free hand. The alien kicks her, forcing Grace to release her hold, and then Nat steps in, hitting the alien with her long, electrified, pole-like weapon. Okoye runs around, shooting the alien with her spear. Grace blasts at her, avoiding Nat, who kicks her in the chest.
Grace hears Bruce shout, "Guys! Vision needs backup now!" But they can't help him, not yet.
She lunges at the alien, one hand grabbing her blade, the other pressing into her face. They crash to the ground, Grace on top of her. She flips over, flinging Grace off. She starts to raise her blade to strike, but Okoye prevents her, stabbing down with her spear. The alien dodges, gets up, her blade meeting with the spear. Nat runs at her but she kicks her away, then throws Okoye to the side.
Then Sai gives Grace the perfect idea.
Nat gets back up when Grace does, but the alien focuses on Nat, who divides her weapon in two. The alien pulls her hand back, the blade in it, ready to stab Nat, but Grace grabs her hand and flies suddenly backward, carrying her off. The heat from the thrusters on her feet hits the alien, and Sai takes control of Grace's path, making sure she doesn't hit anything. The alien grabs at Grace's feet with her free hand, so Grace kicks her off, twisting her wrist just before she falls back to the ground. The blade is in Grace's hand.
"Yes!" Sai cheers.
Nat runs over, charging the alien. But the alien was hiding a second blade, and she gets Nat on the ground and deploys it, trying to stab her again. Grace goes to save her, but Wanda beats her to the punch, lifting the alien up, right into the path of a wheel, which shreds her into little pieces.
Grace lands next to Okoye and helps her up. Nat rolls over, blue blood smattered across her face.
"That was really gross," she says.
At the same time, Grace grimaces. "Ew."

On Titan, Quill hits Thanos with his gun repeatedly, forcing Mantis to let go as he screams, "NO, YOU DIDN'T!"
Tony has no choice but to leave Peter as he lunges toward Quill, grabbing his arm, holding him back. "Hey, stop! Stop, stop! Stop!"
Peter continues pulling on the gauntlet, and he gets it so far off that he can see the palm of Thanos' hand. "It's coming, it's coming! I got it, I got it-!" But he doesn't. It's too late.
Thanos wakes and pulls the gauntlet from Peter, knocking him backwards. Then, he grabs Mantis and flings her away, sending her flying through the air.
"Oh, crap!" Peter shouts, running for her, catching her midair. He deploys the spider legs just before they hit the ground, and they roll for a few feet before stopping.
And Thanos takes down everyone. He kicks Drax into Quill and the cyborg, throws Doctor Strange to the ground by his own magic, swats Tony aside.
He fells Drax, Quill, and the cyborg with the purple stone, and blocks the blade attached to Tony's suit, then head-butts him back. Tony lands face-down and can only watch as, with the gauntlet, Thanos pulls an entire moon out of the sky, pieces of it crumbling. He throws them at Tony, creating a meteor shower that Tony gets up and flies through, dodging the projectiles. But he flies right into the approaching moon, and the weight of it pushes him back to the surface, right into the ground.
It rocks the whole planet, destroying part of it, sending everyone on it flying. Peter manages to get his bearings, all the while wondering where Mr. Stark is and if he's okay, and then he sees the three heroes from space falling through the air and his panic increases, so much so that he forgets their names. He grabs the green one first, tossing her around the falling debris he's swinging from. Finally, he finds a stable structure and attaches her to it. "I got you!" He grabs the grey one, attaching him next to her. "I got you! I'm sorry I can't remember anybody's names right now!" He grabs the bug-masked one and does the same.
He then looks down and sees Strange facing Thanos, trying to blast him with powerful magic, which Thanos only dodges, blasting Strange with purple light. Strange shields himself with a seemingly glass wall, then shoves it at Thanos, who punches right through it, then sucking the glass and surrounding debris into the a blue-ish vortex, which gets bigger and bigger as it heads for Strange. Strange just blocks it with a large, orange shield, and as soon as they meet, the vortex turns into butteflies. They fly back at Thanos, confusing him.
And then Strange rises, and suddenly he has multiple arms, and then they all come together and push out. A least a hundred Stranges suddenly burst forth, surrounding Thanos. Peter can't tell whether he's having a fever dream or not.
All the Stranges make dark orange whips in their hands, then attach them to Thanos, who struggles, then closes his fist. A purple light sweeps over the scene, leaving only a stunned Strange. Thanos pulls him forward and grabs him by the neck. Peter can't get down there, not from where he is. The ground isn't stable, and he can't reach it without killing himself. There's nothing to swing on, even if he had the strength.
Faintly, he hears, "You're full of tricks, wizard." Thanos grabs the necklace around Strange's neck and pulls it away, breaking it to get to the stone inside while Strange struggles. "Yet you never once used your greatest weapon."
Thanos dumps what's left of the necklace out of his hand, and Peter's throat tightens as he expects to see a glowing green stone sitting there. But it isn't.
"Of course," Thanos says. "A fake." He tosses Strange aside, then goes to close his fist again, but something flies in out of nowhere and prevents him.
Tony.
Having shot a device onto Thanos' gauntleted hand, Tony lands in front of Thanos, exhausted and absolutely over it. "You throw another moon at me, and I'm gonna to lose it."
"Stark," Thanos says.
Tony is surprised. "You know me?"
"I do," Thanos replies. "You're not the only one cursed with knowledge."
Tony scowls. "My only curse is you."
Six rockets deploy from his suit, small but effective. Thanos just blocks himself with the gauntlet. "Come on!" They explode on impact, shrouding him in smoke, and Tony flies feet-first at him, connecting the blasters on his feet with each other. He flips as he's pushed back, then lands on the ground, anchoring himself as he transforms both his fists into bartering rams, thrusters on the back of them. He punches Thanos into the wall of rock behind him.
Thanos gets up quickly and grabs the helmet from Tony's head, ripping it off. Tony looks up in fear, putting on another helmet built into the suit just before Thanos punches him in the face. Tony hits the ground, giving Thanos time to rip the device off his gauntlet and then close his first, a beam of purple light shooting out. Tony deploys his shield, plants it into the ground, but the blast pushes him backwards at least fifteen feet before he can stand his ground. Then, he twists, throwing the shield and the last of the blast to side. He runs at Thanos, flips, goes to kick him, but Thanos dodges — just as Tony expected. He plants his foot into the ground, locks it in, and transforms his fist into a a sort of club, flat on the top, where the blaster is. He punches Thanos, cutting his cheek.
Thanos touches his injury, purple blood coming off on his hand. He chuckles. "All that for a drop of blood."
He lifts Tony from underneath him, under his foot, flipping him up in an arc before he hits the ground, landing on his back. Thanos walks over and punches him, though Tony blocks it with his arms. His chest constricts, and it's harder to breathe, a familiar feeling, a horrible feeling.
He tries to rise, and he's knocked back down again. And again. And again. And again. And again.
Then Thanos grabs him by the helmet, lifting him in one hand, the gauntlet glowing purple on the other. He punches Tony in the stomach with the power of the Stone. The suit is destroyed in a few places, the man underneath it showing through. Still, he gets up and blasts Thanos with every blaster he has. Thanos blasts back with the gauntlet, only hitting Tony's fire. The suit begins to reform itself.
Thanos walks forward easily and hits Tony with the gauntlet, knocking the remnants of his helmet away. He goes to hit Tony again, but Tony gets his hands up, pushing Thanos back with all his strength. Thanos swings down, and Tony punches. Thanos catches his hand with the gauntlet, and Tony turns his hand into a blade, tries to stab Thanos, but he grabs that too and breaks it off.
And then he stabs Tony in the side with it.
The blade goes clean through, the shock surely numbing most of Tony's pain, even while his side screams. Peter screams too, but if anyone hears him, he goes ignored. Thanos walks Tony backward, sits him down on some debris, leaving the blade in.
Not here, not now, not here, not him, Tony thinks, wishing Grace were here. Pepper. Selfishly, he wishes it, even if they would have to see him die.
Thanos puts his hand on Tony's head. "You have my respect, Stark. When I'm done, half of humanity will still be alive." He stands fully. "I hope they remember you."
The pain hits harder then, searing, blood choking him, dripping from his mouth, and he tastes metal. Thanos raises his gauntlet, the stones gleaming, and Tony knows this is it.
He's going to die.
But not today.
"Stop," a weak voice says, urgent. Strange sits up to look at Thanos, breathing heavily with the effort. "Spare his life... and I will give you the stone."
Tony wants to scream. To shout, "No, Strange, what are you doing?!" Better him than half the universe. Better him than his family. But he struggles to speak — to breathe.
"No tricks?" Thanos says, almost amused. Strange shakes his head, and Thanos moves his gauntlet to face Strange.
Tony manages a, "Don't!" but Strange doesn't listen. Lifting his hand, he pulls the Stone out of thin air, so small to be so important. Thanos holds his hand out, and Strange lets it go.
It floats to Thanos, and he grabs it in his fingers, holding it over an empty space on the gauntlet. Like a magnet, it joins the other four. He seems to absorb the power, then looks at the last space on the gauntlet, the biggest one. "One to go."
Out of nowhere, something blasts it, and Quill flies on, shooting up a storm. Thanos disappears through a blue portal before Quill reaches him, so Quill just hits the ground. He gets up, aims his gun at nothing. "Where is he?!"
Tony begins to use the suit to close his wound, the same substance helping him that closed the hole in the ship seemingly years ago.
Quill looks at Tony. "Did we just lose?"
Tony doesn't answer. He looks at Strange instead. "Why would you do that?" Strange says nothing. "You-You said, on the ship, if it came down to me, or Peter, or the Stone, you would let me and Peter die. What happened to that? Huh?"
Strange looks at him, a sadness in his eyes. "We're in the Endgame now."
