Make It Go Away
Ed's POV
We gathered everyone up to go out to dinner. I wasn't going to lie, I was kind of scared. Ever since I woke up in that hospital room with Winry and Al, I've been having really bad nightmares. And they've been worse than usual.
Even worse than those nightmares of Tiki Village.
Maybe I was broken again?
Maybe I was fixed.
Or maybe I was just a piece of broken metal. That no one could ever save. I was broken beyond repair. That much I could tell.
"Ed, hey Ed? You okay?" Roy asked. "Hm? Oh yeah. I'm fine." I replied. Roy nodded as we drove off to go out for dinner. Since there was a lot of us, we had to take separate cars. I sighed as I rested my elbow on the window sill. I looked out the window and watched the scenery roll by. "You seem deep in thought Ed." Roy said softly. "Yeah, sort of." I replied. "Wanna talk about what it is?" He asked. I shook my head. "Okay." He replied softly. We drove to the meet up place and got out of the car. We waited for everyone else to show up and eventually, everyone got there. We all sat down at a table and were handed menus. I looked through and quickly found what I wanted. Everyone talked to each other peacefully and our waitress came by. She sent a couple flirtatious looks at Roy and he just smiled at her. I growled under my breath and wrapped my arms protectively around Roy and he looked at me confused. "Ed...? You alright there...?" He asked. Everyone laughed softly. Roy smiled, finally understanding why I did what I did. He ruffled my hair gently. "Ed, I hope you know, nobody's going to take me away from you. I love you to much to hurt you like that." He said, whispering that into my ear. I blushed and nodded. "Okay." I replied. Our food came around, along with a small glare for me, from the waitress. I shrugged it off and began talking with everyone.
We walked to the car and got in. I leaned on the window sill and smiled softly. "That was fun." I suddenly said. Roy nodded in agreement. "Mhm. Especially the part when you were protective of me." Roy replied. I blushed a crimson red. "Sh-Shuddap..." I stuttered. Roy laughed at my reaction.
Roy's POV
We walked into my house and Ed yawned. "Tired much?" I asked. He nodded and leaned against me. We walked into my room and Ed just flopped onto the bed. I laughed softly, but stopped, noticing that Ed was practically taking up the entire bed. "Hey! Save some room for me to!" I exclaimed. Ed didn't move, and I heard soft snores from him. I chuckled and gently picked him up, moving him to his side of the bed. I slipped into the blankets and Ed snuggled close to me, small whimpers coming from him. I stroked his hair gently, trying to help him in some way calm down. I hugged him close and gently kissed his forehead. "Ed, its okay. Calm down." I whispered softly. Ed seemed to be awake now, and buried his head into my chest. "Pl-Please..." He cried.
"Make the nightmares g-go aw-away.....!" He added. I hugged him tightly. "Don't worry. They won't appear anymore. Not as long as I'm here." I replied.
