While Namjoon fought his hangover the next day, Eunji attended a wedding.

Weddings didn't bother her as they did other people her age. Eunji said she didn't like to be tied down, but in reality, she didn't want to burden a spouse with her mental health. That being said, Eunji was not opposed to the idea of a partner, especially if that partner was Namjoon.

Today, Eunji and her best friend Sumi were attending a college friend's wedding. She wasn't particularly close to the bride, so she felt no obligation to chat with her. Instead, she and Sumi gave the couple their wedding gift, then stood off to the side, watching the people mingle and socialize.

It was a beautiful day—the perfect day for a wedding. Puffy white clouds hung in the sky, and the sun warmed Eunji's shoulders. The breeze lifted stray strands of her hair and blew them around.

"Let's go sit down," said Sumi, taking her best friend's hand. They sat towards the back, in white folding chairs. Eunji admired the gazebo where the couple would later say their vows, and the shimmering lake behind it, reflecting the sun's light.

The guests began to sit down, and the ceremony began. Eunji was happy for them, but she also felt dissatisfied with her own life. How come her friend got to marry the love of her life and be happy while Eunji sat there feeling bad about herself? Maybe these thoughts were unhealthy and intrusive, but she couldn't exactly stop herself from thinking them. Where was Seokjin when she needed him?

Beside her, Sumi squeezed her hand. "Eunji?"

Eunji quickly realized that people were standing up. The ceremony was over. She stood up, and they followed everyone to the dining area, which was also outdoors. They were seated at a circular table with several students, apparently all from Seoul National University. Slowly, Eunji began to relax as dinner was served.

"Hi," said a woman next to her. "What's your name?"

"I'm Eunji, what's your name?"

"I'm Yeyeon, and this is my boyfriend Jeongmin," she said.

Jeongmin gave Eunji a half-smile and a wave. "Annyeong."

Yeyeon wasted no time in initiating conversation. "So how do you know the bride?"

Eunji gave her a look, waiting for her to realize.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot for a moment. What class did you meet her in?"

"I met her in Chemistry. Where did you meet her?"

"We met in middle school, so we go way back. We ended up both going to Seoul National University." She laughed. "What are you majoring in?"

"Computer science. And you?" said Eunji.

"Psychology." She smiled. "I knew they were going to get married from the get-go. They're truly a perfect match."

Eunji cast a look at the newlyweds' table, where the groom was feeding something to the bride. The couple radiated happiness. Eunji wasn't resentful of the couple at all, but she'd by lying if she said she didn't feel a pang of jealousy as she watched them. "They certainly look very satisfied with each other," she remarked. "I'm very happy for them."

"And what about you?" Yeyeon continued.

"What?" said Eunji, giving her a look. But there was no malice in the other woman's eyes.

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

"I could be a lesbian, for all you know," Eunji replied smoothly. "Unfortunately, I'm not. And...no, I don't have a partner yet."

"But surely you must have a friend," said Sumi, elbowing her playfully. "She's kissed a couple of guys before."

Eunji's cheeks colored. "That was before I had..."

But Yeyeon's attention had been diverted, and she was now whispering something to her boyfriend. For a second, Eunji worried that she was talking about her, but what did it matter? She would never see Yeyeon again.

"Mayhaps," she said to Sumi, "There is someone."

"Spill the tea, sis," said Sumi. "I wanna hear all about it."

She sipped her champagne and shifted uncomfortably. "I'm going to tell you something, and you have to promise me not to tell anyone. This stays between you and me. Don't say a word about this to anyone, or else I'll come to your house and murder you."

"All right."

"Okay. In January...I tried to commit suicide. You're the fourth person to know this."

"Aigoo. Eunji-yah..." Sumi took her hand, concern in her eyes. "How did you not—I mean, I'm so sorry."

"It's okay. I almost jumped off a bridge, but this guy saw me and told me to stop. He said to see a therapist, but anyway, I ran into him again when I was leading a college tour because his sister was considering SNU. Anyway, we had coffee and I went to his house for a party and I think he's a good person."

"You went to his house? For a party? Was there any...it involved?" She wiggled her eyebrows teasingly.

"Hell no, that's disgusting. His friends were there, and it was fun. I guess I could call him a friend.." Eunji shrugged.

Sumi grinned, tapping her fingers together. "I'm so glad you're venturing out and making new friends," she said, with an emphasis on friends.

Eunji sighed. "Don't push it. For all we know, Namjoon and I might not even get together."

"Namjoon? That's his name?"

"Yeah. Do you know him, by any chance?"

"No, why?"

"Oh, let me tell you a story," said Eunji. "My therapist knows him." She briefly recounted that day in Seokjin's office.

"It's like you two are destined to be with each other," said Sumi.

"Shut up," Eunji replied.

Later, they sat in Sumi's driveway and stalked Namjoon's social media profiles.

They started with his Twitter account, because he seemed to be the most active on that. His username was rm_bighit. RM was probably his stage name.

Namjoon's latest tweet was a series of photos of him standing at a railing near a body of water, presumably the Yellow Sea. He'd captioned it "Gyeoul bada pung-gyeong", or "The scenery of winter sea".

"Whoever's taking these nature pictures is a very good photographer," Sumi remarked.

"Yeah," said Eunji, scrolling down. A photo of a wall with a sign that said "RKive" appeared on her screen.

"What's that?" said Sumi.

"I think it's his studio," she replied. "He mentioned that he produced music at this company."

"A music boy," said Sumi, grinning at her. "Ooh. You've got yourself a good one."

The post before that was a selca of him, Hoseok, and Yoongi.

"Who are those?" said Sumi.

"From left to right, Yoongi, Namjoon, and Hoseok."

"Well, whoever they are, they look hot."

Eunji smiled. "They're Namjoon's friends. And wait until you see the rest of his squad."

Next, they looked at Namjoon's Instagram account. Mostly, he posted selcas and promoted Bighit's idol groups.

"He looks like a whole meal," Sumi commented. "The handsome face, the dimples, the physique." She nodded approvingly and put a hand to her heart. "And when he winks, oh! I felt something. You've got yourself a fine specimen. I can't wait to see—"

Sumi's phone rang.

"It's my eomma," she said, giving Eunji a look. "She probably doesn't realize I'm sitting in the driveway right now."

"See you," said Eunji, reaching over the center console to hug her friend.

"Bye," said Sumi, getting out of the car. "I wanna hear more about that Namjoon guy, so keep me updated. I'll do whatever it takes to get you two together."

"Oh, shut up," said Eunji.
