(Mia's pov)

All of the policemen were inside our apartment, searching the entire place for any clues. They didn't find anything just yet. I am getting more and more worried by the minute. The detectives earlier told me that they paid for a hotel nearby, so that I could stay there while the investigation took place. I tried talking them out of it but to no avail. I sighed and didn't argue. 

I am worried that they might take our stuff or know something about Emma and not tell me. For me and Emma's sake, I hope that doesn't happen. 

At the hotel, it didn't look cheap, it looked pretty classy. I went over to reception and asked where the room was and the key, I went straight to my room.  I slide the keycard to see the detective I talked earlier. 

"What are you doing here?" I ask, sort of annoyed. 

"I am only here to ask questions and then I 'll leave." The detective said sitting down at the makeshift couch that was there. 

(Time skip)

As the detective said, he only asked a few questions and left. I sighed and went on my phone and texted Emma. 

M- Hey Emma the police are being a pain in the ass. They kicked me out of the apartment, putting me in a hotel!  I was kicked me out of my own home! :/ I wish you could answer so that we can get this over with.
