Maddie opened her eyes to the bright sun shining through the window and into the room. 

She could feel Five's right arm around her, his arm was laying like he was scared that she would disappear.

She turned around to see Five laying next to her with his eyes closed.

"Good morning" she said and Five opened his eyes "Good morning" he said.

"What a beautiful sight to wake up to" he said as he stared at her and she smiled "Did you sleep well?" she asked "Better than I ever did" he answered and they gave each other a kiss.

"Come, we better get up and eat with the others before they are done" she said "You are right" he said and they both got up before getting dress for the day.

Five put on some black jeans and he put a white T-shirt with dark blue checked on and a white shirt underneath, he put on a light brown vest and put a fedora on his head. The fedora was checkered blue with a black band around it and a small feather on the left side.

Maddie got dress into gray-green shorts with blue sneakers and a white T-shirt with the words 'FREE SPIRIT, WILD HEART' on it and an eagle that was flying in between the two sentence.

Diego and Klaus was sitting by the table, looking at the boy name Stanley who was taking food from the buffet.

Klaus then looked at Diego "That little delinquent is your son?" he asked "Allegedly my son" Diego said and Klaus laughed "That's so funny!" he said.

Five and Maddie grabbed each a glass of mimosa before they walked over to the others.

Five looked at Stan as he walked over to the others while carrying a drink in one hand and his other hand tucked into the pocket of his jeans.

"Wait, who's...Who's the mother?" he asked Diego as he looked over at Stan.

"Lila" Diego answered "Excuse me?" Klaus asked as they all widened their eyes "Whoa, Lila's here?" Five asked "Was. She dropped him off in my lap last night then bolted" Diego said "I don't much care for that one" Klaus said "Don't" Diego said as he pointed his finger at Klaus.

"Technically, she's family" Maddie said "She tried to kill you. She wanted to kill you and right in front of me" Five said as he was looking at Maddie "Yeah, she was trying to murder us, like ..." Klaus said before thinking for a moment, trying to wrap his head around the time travel "Yesterday" he said "Yeah, like I said 'family'" Maddie said "You are right, she is family, technically" Five said before he looked at Diego "Is she coming back?" he asked as he put down his drink before he turned around to grab two chairs from another table.

"Well, she goddamn better be, because we got more important things to be dealing with right now!" Diego said out loud causing Stan to look at him "Calm down. Shh" Klaus said to Diego as Five put the two chairs down by the table before him and Maddie sat down.

Then Vanya walked towards the table "Where's Luther?" she asked "Who cares? Probably out for...a run" Diego said and stopped himself when he saw Vanya with her short hair "...a run" he finished.

"Mmm!" Klaus said as he swallowed his coffee "Love the haircut" he said as he waved his hand at her and she smiled.

"So, Maddie and I talked to Marcus last night" Vanya said "Wait, what? You talked with the enemy? Just the two of you?" Diego asked and Maddie nodded "We did" she said and Five looked at her "And you went with her" Five said "Yeah, she needed my help and I also wanted to do something" Maddie said "You went behind my back, talked to Marcus without telling me anything" Five said "You went behind my back and made a deal with The Handler without telling me about it" Maddie said and looked at him with an angry look "Fair, but still I didn't like it" Five said.

"Listen. Somebody had to do something" Vanya said "Who elected you, Vanya?" Diego asked "It's, uh, Viktor" Vanya said "Who's Viktor?" Diego asked.

There was silence for a few seconds before she spoke up "I am" she said and they all looked at her, understanding what she meant by that.

"It's who I've always been" Viktor said and no one said anything as they all looked at their sister who was now their brother.

Viktor looked at his three brothers and sister hesitantly as they remained silent while they processed the information "Uh, is that an issue for anyone?" he asked and Klaus let out a chuckled.

"Nah, I'm good with it" Diego said "Yeah, me too. Cool" Klaus said as he put some nuts into his mouth before eating them "I don't have a problem with it. Be who you wanna be, Viktor, I will love you no matter what, because that is what family do" Maddie said as she looked at her brother Viktor with a smile and he smiled back "Thanks Maddie" he said.

"Truly happy for you, Viktor" Five said and Viktor looked at him before Five raised his brows "But last time I checked, you don't speak for this family" he said.

"Okay, we, it's fine, okay? Marcus totally gets it" Viktor said as he sat down between Diego and Maddie "He is right, he doesn't want a war any more than we do" Maddie said "What are you talking about? He tried to homicide us!" Diego said "So did Lila, and you had a kid with her" Maddie said "That's not the point" Diego said "We made a deal. He's gonna give back Five's briefcase, then we're gonna get out of the timeline. I'm gonna meet him later today for the, uh, the handover" Viktor said and Five let out a smile while Klaus clapped his hands in relief "Oh, thank God!" he said.

"That's a rookie move. Dude is playing you" Diego said "Oh, really?" Viktor said as he was looking at Diego "Yeah, but maybe we can use this. And we turn it back on them, and then we wipe them the hell out" Diego said "Diego, stop, please" Maddie said and he stopped talking "And you're not gonna, like, do anything today" Viktor said "Expect bond with your spawn" Klaus said and patted Diego on the shoulder "Alleged spawn" Diego corrected.

"Listen, I will get the briefcase, and then we will all go back and fix the timeline" Viktor said "Hey, we're not going anywhere! This is a perfectly acceptable timeline" Five said "Yeah, why don't you tell that to Allison, who's upstairs grieving her daughter, who doesn't even exist here!" Viktor said "Not to mention, we've been replaced by a bunch of blobs and cubes and birds and shit!" Diego said.

"News flash, geniuses! It's not about us! Take a look around. If you hadn't noticed, there's no doomsday. There's no apocalypse. The sun is shining. Birds are doing whatever the hell birds do. That's all that matters. We're done messing with time" Five said "Maybe you are right. I think we shall see this new reality as a way to start over. Reginald no longer have control of our lives and is now our lives to live now" Maddie said "And I'm officially retired and I'm going to enjoy it with the woman I love" Five said and looked at Maddie "There is nothing I want more than spending time with you" Maddie said and Five kissed her on the cheek before he turned in his chair and Klaus sniffed at Five as he got up from the chair before walking to the buffet.

"Is he wearing aftershave?" Klaus asked "He sure is" Maddie said "I'm concerned" Klaus said.

Maddie got up before she walked over to the buffet where Five was "Hey, honey" she said "Hey, Love" he said said with a smile "So, retirement?" she asked "It's time. I'm done worrying about saving the world. It has being so stressful. I'm tired and exhausted" he said "Well, after everything you have done, all the things you have being through. All you have sacrificed, plus the things you have seeing and went through hell and back just to save us and not have one day to relax. I think that you deserve it. You deserve a long retirement after this" she said "Yeah and now I get to spend the rest of my life with you and that's all I need" he said "Spending the rest of our lives together, is also all that I need" she said before she put some food on her plate and walked back to the table. 

She sat down before she looked around "Hey, where is Freddy?" she asked "He is in the room, he is just sitting down staring out the window" Diego said "He isn't talking or anything, we couldn't even get him to look at us" Klaus said "Weird" she said, but then her eyes widened "What date is it today?" she asked "April 3. Why?" Viktor asked "Of course. Today is Kate's birthday" Maddie said and got up "I will be right back" she said before taking off "Who's Kate?" Viktor asked "Someone Freddy used to love" Diego answered.

Freddy was sitting by the table in the room, looking out the window when someone knocked on the door and he looked towards the door to see Maddie "Hey, can I come in?" she asked, he didn't answered.

Maddie walked over before she took a seat in front of him.

"You okay?" she asked but he didn't answered. Maddie then noticed a file laying on the table.

"So you have read the file, what does it say?" she asked but Freddy didn't answer.

She took the file before she opened and her eyes widened.

"It's blank" she said before looking up "Yeah, it came to a shock for me too. I have spend the whole night to see if there was anything between the pages, but nothing" he said before he took a deep breath "So that means two things. Pogo have giving me the wrong file or Reginald didn't think I was important enough to wast his time writing about me" he said "Or maybe since Reginald have adopted The Sparrows instead of us, then he changed the timeline which means everything he have written about you in this file is gone" she said and he let out a sigh "It doesn't matter anymore. I don't need that to find out who I am or where I am. I will just find out about it another way" he said "How?" she asked "I don't know, maybe my memories will come back one day" he said before he looked at her.

"Hey, I was thinking, do you want to do anything, hang out, party, or play a game?" she asked "No. I want some alone time. I think I just want to get some fresh air, go to the store, buy pills that will help me sleep. And then in the evening I'm going to the Golden Fish and I'm going to find Kate" he said "What?" she asked "If Reginald never adopted you guys, then it means, I have never growing up at the Academy and then it means I have never met Kate which means that we were have never being in that accident, which mean she is still alive" he said with the sound of hope in his voice "Fred" she said but he cut her off "Maybe this is why we landed here. Time have giving me another chance with Kate" he said "Are sure that this is a good idea?" she asked "I made her fell in love with me before, I can do it again" he said "Shall I go with you?" she asked "No. You and Five are finally together. You should enjoy your time together" he said "Alright, but then be careful, things can have changes" she said and he nodded "I will" he said before he looked out of the window.

"But what if the Sparrows sees you and decides to attack you?" she asked "I will handle them, the only reason they won, was because I didn't knew who I was up against, but now I know" he said "I'm still not comfortable with you going outside alone" she said "Do you remember my first day at the Academy?" he asked and she nodded "Remember when Reginald sent me up against Luther already on the first day? And you do remember that I got my ass kicked a few times?" he asked and she nodded "Do you remember what happen when I fell to the floor?" he asked "Yeah, it was like you become a whole other person, and even so we told you to stay down, you still got up" she said "Because I knew what I was up against, so I got up and then what happen?" he asked "You beat his ass" she answered and he nodded "I did and I already got hit by their powers one time, which mean I'm immune to them now" he said before he took a deep breath.

"Alright, but if you need me or need someone to talk to or anything. I'm here okay" she said but he didn't say anything.

"Hey" she said and leaned forward before she put her left hand on the top of his right hand, causing him to look at her "I mean it, just because I'm with Five and I'm spending more time with him, doesn't change our bound or friendship. You and I have a bond that will never be broken, no matter what. I will still be here whenever you need me" she said and they smiled to each other.

She then patted his hands before she got up.

She was about to leave when she stopped "You know what, I want to tell you something" she said and he looked at her "I'm proud of you, you might not think it, but you've done amazing so far, the truth is, if anyone knew half of the things you've been through and if people really knew your story, they'd probably wonder how you're still smiling and still standing but you are and that means you are stronger than you know, both in body and spirit. So, if you don't hear it from anyone else, I'm proud of you" she said and they looked at each other "Don't ever forget that" she said to him before leaving

And as she left the room, Freddy felt again some kind of shock wave energy force wave causing him to look around again and he saw the lights in hotel suddenly switched off all at once before it flickered back on a minute later.

Klaus walked over to Five that was standing by the buffet looking around as he think that it was weird about the lights.

"Hey. What do you say we get outta here, huh?" Klaus asked him and he looked at him "Take a little...road trip" he said "What are you talking about?" Five asked "I'm talking about a sojourn to the countryside. You, Maddie and me, the wind in our hair. Thelma and Louise, on the open road" Klaus said and Five let out a scoffed "You know they die in the end, right?" he asked while he took some food on his plate.

"Holding hands, living our best life, my little cherub!" Klaus said before he leaned closer to Five as he crouched down to his height while Five scooped a spoon of fruit on his plate.

"Listen to me. I nearly died from Luther's sleep farts last night. We need to get out of here, get some fresh air!" Klaus said as Five walked around the buffet before he stopped and turned to Klaus.

"Okay, I'll bite. Why me and M, Klaus?" he asked "Because you said...you said you're retired, and that's what retired people do. And the two of you said you wanted to spend more time together and what is better than a Road trip. And don't the two of you deserve some fun?" Klaus asked.

But then Five spotted that in the thank in the middle of the buffet there was no lobsters, like there was just a minute ago.

"There's no lobsters" Five said "Excuse me?" Klaus asked "There were three lobsters in that tank a minute ago" Five said "Yeah, well, you know, maybe Chet blended 'em into a morning smoothie" Klaus said.

Then Maddie came over to them "Hey guys" he said "Hey Maddie, what do you say that the three of us, are going on a road trip?" Klaus asked and she smiled "That sound like fun. I always wanted to see the world and a road trip is a good start. So I'm in" she said before she looked at Five "Come on Pretty Boy, it will be fun" she said "I don't know" Five said "What? Are you scared that we will fun into an adult version of you and Maddie will fall in love and choose him over you?" Klaus asked and Five snapped his head at Klaus "No" he said "You are" Klaus said "Well, if Five is hot now, I can't wait to see him as an adult" Maddie said which cause Five to look at her with widened eyes.

She looked at him before smiling "Relax, Honey, I'm just joking, you have nothing to be scared of. No matter how many version of Five there is in this timeline. You are my only Five. I wil always and forever choose you" she said "And you are my only Maddie, no matter how many version of you there is in this timeline, I will also always and forever choose you" he said and she smiled as he kissed her cheek.

"Aww, you two are so adorable" Klaus said as he looked at the two. 

Five tried to hide his smile as he looked back at Klaus "You're an idiot, but we're in" he said "Whoo" Klaus said.

"Come on, we'll get a few road sodas for the journey. Sometimes, you gotta clear the head out" Klaus said as him, Maddie and Five walked away "Guys, wait. Where are you going?" Viktor called out to them "Get the rats out of the maze, you know?" Klaus said to the two "Come on" Five said.

Freddy walked into a small store to look for something.

"Hello handsome" a female voice said and Freddy rolled his eyes before he turned around to see Alphonso and Jayme.

"Listen, can't you guys just leave me alone" Freddy said "This is our city and you broke into our house" Alphonso said "This isn't your city and believe it or not but the Academy was also my and my family house" Freddy said "Speaking of your family, where are they?" Jayme asked "Why do you want to know that?" Freddy asked "Because we want to take out The Red Dragon first" Alphonso said and Freddy let out a chuckled "She will squash you guys like a bug" he said.

"Tell us where they are" Jayme said "And why would I tell you that?" Freddy asked "Because if you do, we promise to go easy on you" Alphonso said "The only reason you guys won before, was because we have just come out of a huge fight and therefore we were exhausted" Freddy said.

"I really don't understand why someone like you, is even a member of the group" Jayme said "What do you mean with 'someone like me'?" Freddy asked "Someone without powers" Jayme said "I have powers, I just choice not to used them" Freddy said "Why? Is it because they are weak and ridiculous?" Jayme asked "Because I want to show myself and the people around me that I can handle myself without using my powers and also I don't believe that is your super abilities that tell your true strength. Your heart, soul, mind and choices does" Freddy said and Jayme and Alphonso let out a chuckled "That is the most ridiculous I have ever heard" Alphonso said as they both laughed.

"You can laugh all you want, in the end I will be the one laughing" Freddy said "What did you just say?" Jayme asked "You heard me" Freddy said, raising his left eyebrow at them.

"Just tell us where your family are" Jayme said "And if I don't?" Freddy asked "Then we will beat it out of you" Alphonso said and Freddy chuckled "Just leave, before it gets worse for yourself" he said "Do you think we look stupid?" Jayme asked "You really want an honest answer to that?" Freddy asked as he stared at them calm and they looked angry at him before they got into a fighting position "Is really stupid to make me your enemy, unless you live in a hospital or a cemetery" Freddy said "Alright that's it, you are going down" Alphonso said "Bring it on" Freddy said but then Alphonso threw a punch at his face causing Freddy to fell to the floor.

"Is that really all" he said and Alphonso kicked him the stomach causing him to grunt a bit before Alphonso kicked him a few times.

"Damn, you are weak, I can't even believe that you have survive for this long" Jayme said "I'm just getting started" Freddy said before he got up "How in the hell, there is no way a normal person can stand up like that after getting beating by me" Alphonso said.

"This is going to be fun" Freddy said before he jumped a little bit up and was about to kick Alphonso in the face but he grabbed him "Time for you to go night night" Alphonso and he was about to threw Freddy's head right into the floor, but then Freddy stopped it, by putting his hands on the floor, he then wrapped his legs around Alphonso's neck and with his strength he threw him into the floor before he landed perfectly on his feet.

"I can take you out easily, let me show you" Freddy said and Jayme moved her mouth before she spit on him but he just looked at her "That doesn't work on me anymore" he said before making a circle kick, hitting her in the face "Wait for your turn" he said as she felled to the floor with a grunt "Come on, is that all you guys got in you" Freddy said.

Alphonso then got up "That's it, I'm done holding back" he said "Show me what you got" Freddy said and Alphonso stepped closer to him "I'm gonna punch and kick you 100 times" he said "Cool. I'll help you keep count. Ready, set, go" Freddy said and Alphonso swung a punch at Freddy, but he dodged it.

 "D'oh" Freddy said and Alphonso then swung a kick at him but he dodged it "Missed" he said and Alphonso tried again but Freddy dodged "Zero" he said.

Every time Alphonso either try to kick or punch Freddy, he dodged it every time "Zero. Missed. Still Zero" Freddy said every time he dodged Alphonso.

Alphonso then threw a punch at Freddy, but he bent down avoiding the punch before he got up and as he did that he threw a punch right at Alphonso's chin making him flew up a little bit.

Freddy then jumped up a bit before he kicked Alphonso in the stomach and as he did that, Alphonso got threw backwards and his back hit the wall hard before he landed on the on floor with a grunt.

"Okay, that was easy" he said before he wipe some dirt off his shirt.

But then he saw Jayme got up and he walked closer to her "Woah" Jayme said, holding up her hands and he stopped.

"What? Already done" Freddy said "No is not that. Thank you" she said "What?" Freddy asked "Ben wanted us to force you to tell us where your family was, you can say we were the messengers. I don't wanted that, but I had to because I was afraid because Alphonso was with me, but now that he is not, I can finally talk to you" she said "About what?" he asked "You" he said before she stepped closer to him

"Listen, I can help you. I know what you feel" she said "And what is it that you know?" he asked "I know that you feel like an outcaste of your family, you feel unloved and unwanted, your family don't accept you, but I do" she said as she walked closer to him "You do?" he asked and she nodded "I do and I know is hard watching a person you love, love someone else. I mean if I was your little friend, I would be all over you" she said as she was walking around him while trying to manipulate him.

"If you join us, I can promised you, that we will make you feel love and wanted, we will listen to you and be there for you, we will even accept you. Join us and help take down your so call family" Jayme said before she stopped when she was right in front of him "You don't deserve them, just like they don't deserve you" she said before she leaned closer to him "With us you will be happy, and you can even find love" Jayme said as her lips were few inches from his.

"Really?" he asked "Really, I promise" she said before he leaned closer and she smiled before she closed her eyes and leaned closer.

But then he grabbed her by the throat "I know what you are doing" he said before pulling her away "Did you really think that you manipulate me" he said as she gasp for air.

"But that is where you are wrong. I would never never betray Maddie, Five or any of the others, I wouldn't even think about it, and beside I would never join your family. And after what you just did, you have really piss me off. Using your powers on me making me hallucination my deceased wife. That is low blow, even for someone like you" he said before he lifted her a little bit up causing her to move her legs back and forth in the air.

"You do not try to do something like this towards me, threaten me like this, planning on hurting the people I care about, want to go after Maddie, bad move. You leave her and the others alone or I'll rip you apart, because I do believe in killing the messenger. You know why?" Freddy said as he hold on tighter around her throat "Why..." Jayme said, gasping for breath and he pulled her closer to him "Cause it sends a message" he said before he pulled her away again.

"Now you listen to me and you listen good, because I only plan on saying it once. You go back to your family and you tell them to stay away from mine, and if they lay a hand on Maddie or hurt the others, I'm going to end every single one of you out, maybe even kill you. Have I made myself clear" Freddy said and Jayme gasped for air.

He then loosened his grip a little bit before he pulled her a little bit closer "Do you understand?" he asked "I...I...un...understand" she said "Good" Freddy said before he let go of her and she fell to the floor gasping for air "I really don't want to hurt you guys, but hurting the people I love, and I will hurt you" Freddy said before he walked out of the store.

After Five and Maddie had circled the different places they wanted to see along the road trip, them and Klaus got into one of the hotel's cars before Klaus drove down the road.

Maddie was sitting on the car's backseat as Klaus was driving the car down a long and empty road that was between two long fields of grass.

Five was sitting next to Klaus as the song 'Oogum Boogum by Brenton Wood' was playing in the radio.

"I can't believe you don't know any of those songs the radio is playing" Maddie said "He's an old soul this one" Klaus pointed on Five.

"He's not acquainted with a lot of twenty or twenty first century music" he said "Lay off" Five snapped at Klaus.

"It's okay Sweetie, we'll get you caught up with everything you have missed while being gone" Maddie said which made Five smile.

Klaus slurped his drink loudly before he put the cup down.

"This actually isn't so terrible" Five said "See? Told you" Klaus said "Yeah. Sometimes a road trip is actually good for you" Maddie said.

"Come to think of it, my whole life I've been under the gun. Missions for Dad, working for the Commission, trying to survive the apocalypse. I was always looking around every corner, just waiting for the other shoe to drop. It's nice to just breathe" Five said "Good for you, man. Retirement is suiting you" Klaus said as he nodded along to the music that played over the radio.

"And the best part is that I'm here with you" Five said and turned his head to look at Maddie who leaned forward "I feel the same way" she said and they looked at each other before they press their lips against each other.

"Aww, you guy are so sweet, I'm so happy you are finally together, but I can't concentrate on the road when you guys are making out or if you guys are going to have sex in the backseat" Klaus said and Five and Maddie pulled away "We are not making out or are we not going to have sex in the backseat" she said "We are not there yet" Five said "Sorry if I just hit a soft spot there" Klaus said and the couple rolled their eyes.

"Oh. Uh...All right?" Five said before he looked at Maddie "Can you pass the map" he said and she gave him the map "Thanks Love" he said.

"So, Maddie and I have circled all the roadside attractions alone the way" Five said as he unfolded out the map of Pennsylvania "I'm not sure we're gonna have time..." Klaus mumbled "We have the Brownsville Big Nickel" Five said as he looked at the map 

"Oh, Ricky's Bakery has award-winning pies--" Maddie said as she was looking at the map "If you just let me explain..." Klaus said "Or there's this Cow Henge" Five said before he glanced at Klaus "That's it--Don't---" he said with a smile.

"Alright listen to me" Klaus said out loud causing Maddie and Five to look at him "Just shut up for two seconds, okay? Just two seconds? All right?" Klaus said "Okay, we're all ears" Five said and unfolded the map before he looked at him.

"We are going to Pennsylvania to find my birth mother. Yay!" Klaus said and cheered "Excuse me?" Five said "I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry. I just need somebody to come with me for emotional support" Klaus said "Oh, emotional support, like a Schnauzer?" Five questioned annoyed "I knew that you wouldn't come if I told you, so what was I supposed to do?" Klaus said "Jesus, Klaus" Maddie said "You're goddamn right. I wouldn't have come, Klaus. You know why? Because I am supposed to be retired!" Five said out loud "I know!" Klaus said "This was supposed to be a carefree road trip with my girlfriend" Five said "Well, it still can be, babe" Klaus said.

Five then noticed a sign that said 'Ball of Twine' 

"Ball of Twine? Klaus, turn!" Five said before he grabbed the wheel "Ball of Twine! Turn" he said as he turned the wheel causing the car to turn "What? Five! Five!" Klaus said before he also grabbed the wheel "It is one of the best ones! Come on!" Five said out loud and turned the wheel causing the car to turn sharp.

'Cause both of them was turning the wheel each way, the car began to veer to the left and right, avoiding the cars going by "Five, we're gonna die! Whoo!" Klaus shouted as he had his hands on the wheel "I don't care! Let's go!" Five shouted as the two was having their hands on the wheel, struggling to turn or not and Maddie fell backwards as the two was having their hands on the wheel struggling to turn or not.

"YOU KNOW WHAT? NO TWINE, NO BIRTH MOTHER!" Five shouted. 

"Guys, calm down, we are going to crash" Maddie said but they were still fighting, trying to turn the car.

"Alright" Maddie said before she lifted her hand and a red energy ball appeared on her palm before red whisps appeared around the wheel making Five and Klaus let go.

Maddie then turned her hand, turning the wheel making the car drive to the right before she with her powers pressed the brake, making the car stop on side of the road.

"Can you boys stop fighting and just enjoy this time. Think about it, we are finally done saving the world and all of that" Maddie said before she looked at Klaus "Klaus, we are going to support in you finding your real mom" she said "Thank you, sis" Klaus said "Your welcome brother" she said before she looked at Five "Honey, you are going to retire, we are going to see those places and we are going to spend time together, but we can do both things. So can we just enjoy the peace and quite for a time, please" she said and the two nodded "Alright. Sorry" they said "Thank you" Maddie said before she powered down and Klaus grabbed the wheel before they drove back on the road.

Klaus stopped the car at the Ball of Twine and the three stepped out of the car before Five and Maddie grabbed each other's hands as the three walked towards the ball to look closer at it.

"I'm a little disappointed...after risking my life in that car, I hoped it would have been...bigger" Maddie said as she looked at the ball  

"Yeah, you know. I don't know why, but I thought it'd be a lot bigger" Klaus said from behind Maddie and Five as they looked up at the large Ball Of Twine.

"Seems pretty big to us" Maddie said as Five tucked his hands into his pockets while him and Maddie kept their eyes on the ball.

"Ehh" Klaus said "Here's the real question. How do you know your birth mother is in Pennsylvania?" Five asked before he turned to look at Klaus.

"Well" Klaus said as he took off his sunglasses "Because I was on the ass end of a two-week bender, and I can't tell you the exact date because we were boofing Xanax and the whole business, but Amy Winehouse was at the top of the charts" Klaus said as he walked up to Five and Maddie.

"So that puts us somewhere, where? In the mid to late aughts? I helped myself into Dad's office, looking for the key to his safe cause he had Pogo lock up all the stealables. But instead, I found a treasure trove of our family history told in expired check stubs. I was too messed up to, uh, do anything about it, too scared to look her up. But always in the back of my mind, I wondered why she sold me off for three grand. I mean, come on, she couldn't have held out for five? Six?" he said "You see anything about my mother?" Five asked "Or mine?" Maddie asked and Klaus shook his head "No. Sorry" he said.

"Why now?" Five asked "Well, duh. Dad disowns us. Grace isn't Grace. Ben's...gone. Now just felt like a good a time as any to find out who I could've been if I didn't grow up in this stupid family" Klaus said.

"Well, can you really call what we had a family?" Five asked "No. It's more like a--" "Institute for Snarky Delinquents" Five said as he finished Klaus' sentence and Klaus and Maddie let out a smile and a laugh "And not a good one at that" Five said before he looked up and let out a smile.

"But what is family? What is it?" Klaus asked and they both looked at him "It's like some kind of giant...ball of twine that can never be untangled" he said "A giant ball of obligation I've been pushing uphill my entire life" Five said as the three looked at the ball,

"And the older you get, the bigger it gets. And the more you try an untangle it..." "You watch it roll down the hill..." Five said, cutting Klaus off "And what's the point?" the three said at the same time.

Klaus then looked at Five and Maddie "Hey, I'm glad you came along" Klaus said "You know I will always help you" Maddie said "Yeah I know, but you" Klaus said and pointed at Five "You could have just left but you didn't. You're a good brother" Klaus said.

Five blinked a few times with his eyes like he was shocked by that sentence.

Five was not used to compliments therefore he didn't know what to say or how to react since this was the first time he have heard someone that wasn't Maddie or Freddy say that.

Five and Klaus just started at each other without saying anything, Maddie knew that Five wasn't used to compliments and she could see on his face that he was surprised by it and didn't knew what to say or how to react. After everything he has done for his family. Saving them from the apocalypse, twice. Using his powers to rewind time, to bring them back to life. Putting his own life at risk to save them, risking everything in order for them to survive. No one other than Maddie and Freddy had being grateful or addressed words like that to him, Klaus was the only one except Maddie and Freddy who didn't blame Five for the things that have happen. 

Five and Klaus were both very concerned for each other but won't admit it.

Maddie could see that those words impact on his heart and mind.

"All right, all right. You say nice things about me now" Klaus said and pointed at him as he noticed his brother's reaction. 

But Five just turned around before he patted his brother's shoulder "Let's go find your stupid mother" he said before walking towards the car.

Klaus smiled as he turned around "Love you too, tiny dancer!" he said as he ran after him with a smile.

Maddie shook her head with a smile before she walked after them.

Freddy was standing on the side of street looking at the bar called 'The Golden Fish' that was on the other side of the street.

He looked at his watch before he looked back up and that's when his eyes widened and a smile escape from his lips as he saw Kate walking out of the bar.

Seeing her again, Freddy whole heart and body light up. She was still as beautiful as the day he lost her, but most importantly, she was alive.

Freddy took a deep breath before he took a step forward but then he saw another man walking over to her. 

Kate turned around and she smiled at the man before they kissed and when they did that, Freddy's heart broke and it was like the whole world broke down.

The tears of joy changed into the tears of sadness. The woman he love was kissing someone else.

Freddy closed his eyes before he let his head fall.

Was this it, was this how the world think of him, a person that don't belong anywhere, a person that don't belong with anyone, was he not meant to be happy? Was he destined to be alone?

He could feel how all the pain he had ever felt, came back to him all at once.

He didn't know how much longer, he could handle the pain.

Maybe it would be better if he wasn't here anymore, at least the pain would disappear and he get to see his Kate again and live a life with her in the afterlife.

Klaus stopped the car to the place where he knew his mother was.

The three got out at the car as they saw some Amish people ran passed the car.

"Son of a bitch! Klaus is Amish!" Five said while he hold his hat in his right hand as he shut the passenger door with his left hand while Maddie shut the door to the backseat.

"This explains everything" Klaus said as he walked around the car while they heard cows mooing.

"How does this explain anything?" Maddie asked "Because look! Look at this place!" Klaus said as Five put his hand back on.

"This is everything my childhood was missing" Klaus said as he started walking forward.

"Hey, uh, Klaus?" Five called out as he chased after him "Yeah" Klaus said as he stopped "Wait up a minute" Maddie said as her and Five ran up to him.

"Doppelgänger check. You feel anything strange?" Five asked as he grabbed his hand "Uh, itching, sweats, gas, anything like that?" he asked and Klaus shook his head "No. No, I feel great" he said and Five let go of his hand "Apart from the old rash on the tackle, but what can you do?" Klaus said before he walked passed Five and Maddie, expecting then to follow him.

"All right, good luck" Five said and Klaus stopped in his tracks before he turned around to look at them "What? Wait, you're not coming?" he asked and the couple shook their head "This one you gotta do alone" Five said as he looked at him.

"Alone?" Klaus said in tone like he was not happy about that "You got this, brother. You can do this" Maddie said "Yeah, okay. Yeah, I can do that, sure" Klaus said before he walked towards the barn.

"Hey, honey?" Maddie asked "Yeah, Love" Five answered "That thing you and Klaus talked about. You know, what who have happen if we haven't grown up in this family" she said "What about it?" he asked as he walked closer to her "I think about it sometimes, when we were young, what would have happen if Reginald hadn't adopted us. Yeah, Reginald has cause us a lot of trauma, but I'm glad he adopted us, because if he hasn't, we would never have met. And I don't know about you, but I can't imagine living in a world or in any timeline without knowing you, I don't think I can't even live in a world without you" she said.

I still think that we would have met, just when we were older" he said "And why do you think that?" she asked "Because we are made for each other, because our souls are the same" he said and she smiled "Cause we are each other's half" she said and he nodded "I know for a fact we are meant for each other. Seeing your smile literally changes my whole day. Just know I will never let go of you and my feelings for you will never disappear. I promise I will love you, always and forever" he said "I will love you always and forever, too" she said and they both smiled.

"You were the one that kept me going in the apocalypse. I fought every single second in the godforsaken and terrible apocalypse, and I kept fighting after that, also when I came to The Commission. Maddie was happy. They have stopped the apocalypse, and even so there has being a few changing, another end of world was not going to happen and Maddie could now finally live a life with Five, that life she always wanted.

They pulled away and smiled to each other before they closed their eyes and rested their forehead against each other.

Five was more than happy, the apocalypse was over, he couldn't sense any danger coming their way. Which mean that he could retire, and live a wonderful, long, peaceful, and beautiful life with the love of his life. He could now live that life with Maddie, that life he always wanted but never thought he could have.

"Come, let's find a more private and quite place we can wait for Klaus" Five said as he pulled away "Alright, but I am driving" she said "Is all yours, Love" he said before he pulled up the key and handed them to her.

He opened the door for her "Thank you" she said with a smile as she got in "Anytime" he said with a smile before he closed the door and walked around the car before getting into the passage seat.

The couple looked at each other with a smile.

Maddie drove the car down the road before she parked it next to a large field filled with cows.

When they have parked the car, Maddie got out of the car to get some fresh air while Five turned on the radio, before he sat by the driver seat.

He took off his vest and hat and put on some glasses before he rested his feet up and he took up his map before looking at it.

A country song was playing on the radio as Five sitting in the front seat with glasses on while looking at the map over Pennsylvania.

"So, I assumed that the three of us will continue the road trip we planned when Klaus had met this mother" Five said "What place do you want to see?" Maddie asked "I was about to ask you" he said "Well, I always enjoy looking over a vive with forest and with some mountain, and the forest are covering the mountains. So I would like to see Pine Creek Gorge. I would like to take a walk in Ricketts Glen State Park. I would like to take a trip in the Millersburg Ferry. I would like to visit Gettysburg National Military Park, Presque Isle State Park and Ohiopyle State Park" she answered "How do you know the name of those place?" he asked "Well, you know I always wanted to see the world. So I made a liste over the places I wanted to see the most and then I would put a notch next the name over that place when I have visited them. And since we are in Pennsylvania. I look through the list and saw those places writing on it. I also would love to visit France, Las Vegas, Los Angeles. Hawaii, Rome. London, Buenos Aries in Argentina, New York. New Zealand, Australia, San Francisco, East Tennessee, Colorado, Coron in Philippines and I would love to see The Grand Canyon and Machu Picchu in Peru" she said before taking a deep breath "And that is just small part of the list. But I would love to visit them all" she said "Well, don't worry, Love. I'll make sure everything on that checklist is ticked and you are going to fulfill and put notches next to every places on that list" he said.

"Is a pretty long list" she said "Then is good we have all the time in the world" he said before he grabbed his pen.

"And don't worry, I will make sure that we will have a date on each of those places on your list, cause I do owe you some dates. I am sure that some of those places will be perfect with a picnic date" he said before he drew a circle around Pine Creek Gorge, Ricketts Glen State Park, Millersburg Ferry, Gettysburg National Military Park, Presque Isle State Park and Ohiopyle State Park on the Pennsylvania map.

"I am going to take you to the most romantic places in the world. Like, eating at the Santorini, Greece, the sun setting over the ocean as our view. But the place I want to vist the most, is Paris, standing at the top of the Eiffel tower, watching the stars" he said "Why do you want to vist Paris the most?" she asked "Cause I have read that is it the most romantic place in the world and I want to see if that true. And then I want us to visit Amalfi Coast and Venice. See the Niagara Falls, visit Iceland and see The northern light. Having dinner at Clos Maggiore, Ambrosia Restaurant in Santorini and Nautika Restaurant" he said and she looked at him "But right now, I have some romantic restaurants in Pennsylvania in mind, where we can have dinner just the two of us. Like the R2L restaurant, and the Monterey Bay Fish Grotto restaurant" he said "You know that a simple date, like watching a movie or just being home, is enough for me, you don't have to go all that romantic " she said "Yes I do, cause you deserve the best of the best and also I wanted to make up for the times the two of us had spent apart from each other. I want to built up the life that the two of us might have had, if I didn't time travel causing me to get stuck in the future for all those years" he said "I want to built that life with you too" she said and they looked at each other with a smile.

"How do you know about those places anyway?" she asked and he pulled out a cover of a brochure and a list out from his pocket "Took the brochure from a hotel, the first time I asked you out on a date, that day I got stuck in the apocalypse. And the list, I have always had that on me. When I was working at the Commission, I would have the chance to see the most of the world, but I wouldn't enjoy the places I was in, I would complete my missions and then leave. Because I remember when we were kids, how you always wanted to see the world and how we planed that we would travel around the world together. So when I was in town I like, I would write it on my list over those places I wanted to visit with you, and I promised myself as soon as I had the chance to get back to you and our family, and when we had the chance, I would visit those places with you, because I would never be able to enjoy them without you" he said "Well, as long as I am with you, I don't care where we are, as long as we are together" she said "I just want to sit in my car with you by my side while we drink our favorite drinks and stare at the night sky. Telling each other stories, kissing under the stars at the top of the hill. The whole view of the city right in front of us. We can be there for hours, we could be anywhere for all I care. Being in your presence, seeing you smile and enjoying time with you is all I could ever want" he said and they smiled to each other.

"But most of all, no matter where we would go, we will find a rooftop and stare up at the stars" he said "Just like we used to do when we were kids" she said "Yup. Just like we used to" he said "I would love that" she said and he smiled as he circle the name over those two restaurants he wanted Maddie and him to have their dates on the map.

"Can I say how smart and handsome you look with those glasses on" she said and he looked at her "You do" he said and she nodded "I do" she said as he got up and walked over to her before he grabbed her and pulled her closer to him.

"You know what, I actually love the retirement you" she said "You do" he said "Yeah, a lot" she said and he smiled before they press their lips against each other.

"We don't know how long Klaus is going to take, so I have an idea how we can past the time" she said as she pulled away "I think I have the same idea" he said and she lifted her hand behind her and with her powers she opened the door to the backseat.

Five smiled before he lifted her up and she smiled as she wrapped her legs around his waist.

He then leaned forward so her back was laying on the car seat and while he was on top of her, they started making out.

They were about to kiss again when the sound of energy pulsing and distressed mooing was heard and it was like an energy wave hit the car making it shake a bit causing Maddie and Five to pull away, "What was that?" Five asked "I don't know" Maddie said as they grabbed their shirts.

They both got out of the car and they looked out on the field but only to see that the cows that was there before was gone.

"What the..." Maddie said as they put their shirts back on.

"Five, we agree there was a herd of cows right here, few seconds ago, right?" Maddie asked "Yeah" he said as he looked around confused "Cows can't just disappear like that, unless they suddenly got invisible or got wings and flew away" she said "Oh, I can't get one fucking day off?" he said.

Maddie was sitting on the car's hood while while Five had writing down equations all over the car's windows, except for the driver's window as he was trying to figure out what the hell was wrong.

Then suddenly Maddie heard Klaus shouting "FIVE! MADDIE!" he shouted and Maddie looked towards the voice to see Klaus come running up a small hill out on the field.

"Start the car, would ya?" Klaus asked he was being chase by a herd of Amish people while they were clamoring. 

While running Klaus turned his head to look behind him to see the Amish chasing him "Oh my...Shit, shit, shit! Maddie! Five" Klaus shouted as he kept running.

"Oh, shit" Maddie said as she jumped down from the hood "Start the car!" Klaus shouted  as he was waving with his arms "Five, start the car, Klaus have just piss off a herd of Amish people" Maddie said and Five turned around to see Klaus being chase.

"Five, start the car. Hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry!" Klaus shouted "Love, get in the car" Five said and Maddie nodded before getting in the backseat "Why can't you jut get alone with people" Five said as he ran over to the other side of the car to take the wheel "I tried. Really, I did. I tried" Klaus said while Five opened the driver's door.

Klaus was about to opened the door when he saw a woman came running towards him from another side with a book in his hand.

"Hold on a second" Klaus said as he looked at the woman which was his mother's sister.

"Take this" she said and handed him a book "What is it?" he asked "Rachel's death was unusual, and she wasn't the only one" she said "Come on! Get in the car, Klaus!" Maddie shouted.

"You have her eyes" the woman said as she looked at Klaus' eyes.

"English, go!" she said "Klaus, it's now or never!" Five shouted as he started the car "Klaus!" Maddie shouted and Klaus turned around before he got into the car and they drove away.

Klaus opened the book the woman had giving him and he scanning over each page before stopping on a page that had a newspaper article of a woman's death.

He kept flipping over onto the next page until he saw his mother and he read her article about her death.

"This whole timeline's chock-full of riddles. Get this. My mom died here before I was even born" Klaus said and Five hit the breaks hard causing them to make a screeching sound and the three to jolted forward as the car stopped.

The two then looked at him "What did you just say?" they asked "Yeah" Klaus said before showing the book to Five.

"Let me see this" Five as he took the book from him before he flipped through the pages "This isn't just your mother, is yours too Maddie, and mine and the others'" he said as he skimmed the articles "And they all died before we were even born" he said before he thought for a bit.

"Wait. Mothers died before we were born, different timeline, missing animals. Shockwaves, disappearing of animals" Five said as he put the puzzle together until his eyes widened "We created the Grandfather paradox" he said.

"What is the Grandfather paradox?" Maddie asked "Well, we're living in one now" Five replied.

Freddy, Diego, Allison and Viktor was sitting on the couch at the hotel while jazz piano was playing in the background.

"I mean, who does that? Who does it?" Diego asked "What are you mumbling about?" Allison asked "Lila. Dumping Stan on me after all these years? I mean, that's not right" Diego said and Viktor and Freddy let out a chuckled "Hey, man. If you did the deed, don't blame her for the consequences" Freddy said "Yeah" Viktor said "That's not the point" Diego said "Oh, what's the point?" Viktor asked "He's cramping my style. I need to be able to react to danger on a moment's notice. How am I to do that when I'm playing wet nurse to a 12-year-old?" Diego asked "You're his dad!" Viktor said "Alleged dad" Diego said "Well, at least you have a kid" Allison said before getting up "Can I get another one?" she asked as she walked over to the bar.

Then Maddie, Five and Klaus entered the hotel "Okay, gather round, people" Five announced as they approached the bar "Where is--Where's every--Where's Luther?" he asked as he looked around "Haven't seen him" Allison said in a voice like she was not interesting "Who knows?" Diego said "Anybody know where--Okay you know what? We got bigger problems to worry about right now" Five said as he opened the book before putting on the counter by the bar as the others gather around "Like what?" Allison asked in a tone like he was not interested at all.

"This" Five said as he pointed on a certain page in the book which caught Allison's attention as the family surrounded the counter and they all saw a bunch of newspaper article with picture of adult women and the article was about their sudden death.

"Who are they?" Viktor asked "These are our mothers" Five said before he turned the page and Klaus pointed to a picture of his mother "That one's mine" he said as he pointed on an Amish woman.

Maddie turned to the next page and she saw a picture of her mother.

'Natalie Delany duchess of Normandy suddenly died the exact same day and hour as the numerous of other women suddenly death around the world. The reports say that the cause of these women's death was a suddenly cerebral hemorrhage. The cause is still unusual and unknown'

A tear fell from Maddie's eyes, she was glad that she finally know where she is from, what her mother looked like and what her mother's name was, but she was sad over that now she would never get the chance to meet her, she had so many questions to her.

She then saw that next to the page her mother was on, was a picture of a woman name Efa that was from Dublin Ireland who was a butcher. Maddie quickly realized that the woman was Five's mother. She could see on how the woman looked and how she was described.

"Like mother, like son" she whispered with a smile.

"They're all dead. They all died on the exact same day, October 1st, 1989" Five said "That's our birthday" Viktor said "Not anymore, it isn't. They all died before we were born" Five said "That's dumb. If we weren't born, how can we exist?" Diego asked and looked at Five who crossed his arms "Exactly" he said.

"What are you saying?" Viktor asked "I'm saying, when we jumped here, we created a time paradox. All right? Not just any paradox. This is the grandfather paradox" Five said "What the hell is the grandfather paradox?" Klaus asked and Five let out a sigh.

"It's probably one of the most deadly and complex paradoxes there is" he said. 

"Crying is how your body speaks when your mouth can't explain the pain you feel"
