• Chapter 33. Don't wait for me

'Didn't get the green light?'

'Piss off, Sunstreaker.' I got up from the bench and pushed him aside. 'You're going to stay cranky all day?' He asked. I didn't reply. 'Right, can't you be cranky back home?' He asked. I snorted and turned. 'You're just like everyone else. You like seeing me fail. Just leave me alone, okay? I don't wanna drive with you, I wanna walk.' He tightly grabbed my arm. 'Forget it. The risk of getting murdered is too big. Stop this nonsense and come home with me,' he snapped. I pressed his buttons. 'Fine.' I yanked my arm back. 'Still mad because of what I said last night?' He asked, following me at a slower pace. I didn't reply. 'Being friends isn't that bad, right?' I stopped and turned. 'Why do you bring it up? I am cranky due to other reasons. You only assume I am cranky because of what you said last night.'

'Yeah and proof me wrong. You were crying. I broke your fleshy little heart by saying I don't want you,' he mocked and crossed his arms. I got the idea he liked saying it. 'And I am mad at Ratchet, not at you so shut up,' I snapped back. He stared at me. 'It does bother you.' He followed me again. 'Whatever Sunstreaker. If it makes you feel better...' I sulked. 'It does actually,' he muttered. I hopped in his alt and slammed the door shut with so much force it must have hurt him. He hopped in, glaring and punched me. 'Stop doing it!' He hissed. I rolled my eyes and sat back. 'I am serious,' he warned. 'So am I.'

It was unlike me to be this cranky. Sunstreaker is being an ass and so is Ratchet. I was more offended about the fact that Ratchet had no trust in me than what Sunstreaker told me last night. We reached his home and I was the first one to hop out of his alt-mode. 'Paige! Seriously, you can't stay angry.' I turned my gaze. 'You're only mocking me and Ratchet says I don't belong at the base,' I snapped. 'You're the one who always get into trouble. You can't blame him for being concerned.' He passed. 'Since when are you on Ratchet's side?' I snapped. He grabbed his key. 'I am not, but I get his point.' All I could do was roll my eyes.

'I am gonna take a shower.' I passed him. Sunstreaker grabbed my arm and pulled me in a hug. My eyes widened in shock. 'Don't be mad. Stop being cranky.' He let go of me. 'You hugged me.' He turned around. 'Don't get used to it. I am not a teddybear,' he snapped. I took a step back. 'Still.' He looked over his shoulder before flopping in the couch.  'While you're still standing there, why don't you get me some nacho's and soda?'
I snorted. 'I am not your slave,' I muttered. 'I don't even have to threaten you to do it. You're the femme, you should take care of me and beside, it's my home. You're nothing but a guest.' I huffed and grabbed some soda from the fridge.

'So? Whenever we had quests we didn't let them serve us and we aren't a couple, you were very clear about that.' He looked at me. 'Am I right or not,' I walked up to him. 'Shut up.'  He took the bowl and glass. 'That you love me doesn't mean I love you back.' I put my hands on my hips. 'You're obsessed with me and you will do whatever I ask you anyway because you're obsessed.'

'No... I am not obsessed,' I snorted, turning around. 'The amount of time you're moaning in your sleep is almost concerning.' I turned back. 'Excuse me?!' He popped some Nacho's on his mouth. 'I watch you sleep sometimes.' I huffed. 'Then what are you doing when you shower huh? Want to talk about that.' He stopped chewing. 'You think I am deaf?'

'Its not illegal.' He turned back towards the TV. 'I was surprised to figure out you were vocal.' He shot me a glare. 'You really need to shut up!' He snapped. 'Then I suggest you do the same.' I turned around and headed upstairs, taking a quick shower before sitting on my bed, reading a book. Sunstreaker strode in an hour later. 'Why didn't you join me downstairs?' I shrugged, not looking up. 'Didn't feel like joining you.' He closed the door.

'Are you mad?'
'Do I gave a reason to be mad then?'
'Yeah, multiple.'
'Why do you care?'
'I don't. Just curious, that's all.'
'You're a jerk.'
'Yeah, but we already figured that out.'

I locked eyes. 'You shouldn't be waiting for me.' I raised a brow. 'I don't date, especially not a human,' he stated. I sucked in a breath before I closed the gap between our lips. Our lips moved synchronized. He really was a good kisser. It felt like my entire world slowed down and there was just our energy.

I pulled back. Sunstreaker sat back. 'What did I just say?'
'I don't think I can love another man, but I will try.' He frowned. 'What do you mean?' I shrugged and looked back at my book. 'I'll make a Tinder account and start going out with guys.' He snorted. 'No, you wouldn't, right?' I looked up. 'Would it bother you? You're not interested,' I stated. 'Yeah, but... online dating?' He asked. 'There are a lot of creeps. What if he's a killer.'

'And what are you?'
'But I am a handsome, sexy and nice killer.'
'Handsome and sexy, but not nice. You're far from nice actually.'
'Am I not nice right now?' A smirk crept up on his face. He pushed me down and crawled on top of me. 'Tinder sucks,' he stated. 'How do you even know?' I mocked. 'I do. Trust me, Tinder won't work,' he stated. 'Maybe not, but I will try it anyway.' Sunstreaker shook his head. 'No, don't. You don't need a guy.' I pushed him aside. 'You just told me not to wait for you.'
'And I was serious—'
'Good, then you don't mind.' Sunstreaker slid off the bed. 'Slut!' He snapped before slamming the door shut behind him. 'Jealous frag,' I mocked, staring at the door.
