That afternoon went by, drifting quickly along as we moved to Jin hyung's room and spent time as a family again. Seeing everyone so happy and joyous was incredible, it made me miss the old days back at our dorm. The days, when we would laugh the hours away, were the best.
As evening drew closer, though, it was more than obvious who in the group was getting worn out. Kook's mood shifted into something sulky, Hobi's energy dipped and, as we chatted away, Jiminie seemed to be napping while using my shoulder as a pillow.
Jin hyung eventually called it a night when Taehyung started snoring loudly on his bed, kicking us all out, including himself so the boy could sleep for a while. Joon grabbed Jiminie a wheelchair to get back to the dorm with, but he didn't need it until the last few minutes when holding my arm just wasn't enough support, anymore.
"Get comfy, jagi," I smiled as he yawned loudly, patting the bed behind him. With a nod, he threw himself back, more than ready to get comfortable. Laying down myself, I rolled to my side and propped myself up with my elbow, ready to smile down at him but saw his pretty features were all wrinkled up as if he was in pain. "What is it? ...Baby?"
"My back," Jiminie groaned slightly, trying to shuffle but it only made him grimace more. "I-I think I..."
"Moved too quick," I sighed, sitting myself up and reaching for the drawers next to me, grabbing a box of painkillers and the bottle of water that sat there, and handing them to him. "Here, those from this morning have probably worn off, now... Be more gentle with yourself, darling."
"I don't get it," Jiminie whined as he took the tablets, finishing off his water bottle. I sighed and took it from him so he didn't have to move. "It wasn't hurting earlier, while we were out."
"As I said, the painkillers have worn off... And you're tired, now, baby," I chuckled as he yawned, holding his little hand over his mouth as his eyes scrunched closed. "You have done so much today. You walked so far as well. To the canteen and back...? Maybe it was a little too much, hmm?"
"Maybe..." He shrugged slightly and I could feel his curious eyes following me as I shuffled down the bed to take his shoes off, saving him the job. "Yoon, you don't have to, baby."
"I know I don't," I chuckled, untying his laces and throwing his boots on the floor before gently tugging his leg to rest on my lap. He had been walking so much and it was clear how worn out he was, he had pushed himself to the limits. The least I could do was massage his feet for him, so they didn't get sore. "But I want to, so just relax, my love. You made me the happiest man on Earth, today, so you're gonna let me spoil you."
"Yoonie..." He whined, making me chuckle again as his words blended into another yawn. "You're gonna make... Make me fall... Sleep."
"That's kinda the point, baby boy," I laughed, rubbing the bottom of his foot with my thumbs, sensing him and the way he was fully relaxing behind me. "Just let go, darling. You did really well today, you deserve to rest."
"I love you, Yoonie..." I heard my boy, my fiance, mumble but, just as I was about to say the words back, he almost feebly kicked at my hands. "Yoon, gotta stop... Pl'se, 'm sleepy. Dizzy..."
"It's okay," I nodded with a soft smile as I stopped what I was doing. I was expecting it, just like every night, so I just turned back to him in time to see his eyes drift off to the side. "It's alright, darling. You were just falling asleep, that's all. Take your time."
These little seizures happened every night, good day or bad, real-world or whatever hell we now lived in. In my mind, I knew it was nothing to worry about, this was just how his epilepsy worked. It was like, when he was falling asleep, his mind just lagged behind and wouldn't turn off at the same time.
Over the past few months, I had sat by his side through these hundreds of times, but I still kept my eyes on him through every second of it - just in case. It didn't even last that long, nor did I have to roll him onto his side, I was like he just fell asleep with his eyes open for a minute.
"Alright, sweetheart," I sighed, brushing his fringe out of his face as he scrunched his eyes closed like before, making them tear up slightly as if he was crying. "Can I getcha anything, Jiminie?"
"Hmm... Water," Jiminie nodded a fraction, causing me to smile and nod back... Until I remembered that he finished off his bottle when he took the painkillers.
"You gonna be okay while I go a fill the bottle up?" I asked, giving his shoulder a tiny shake, making sure I got a proper answer before leaving the room. I had been assured when we arrived, that the water supply in the hospital was clean, but I most definitely would not make my fiance drink from a tap in a hospital bathroom. I loved him too much for that. "The fountain's just outside, babe. You gonna be alright for thirty seconds?"
It took a second, as he was falling back to sleep, but softly, he nodded again.
"Okay, baby," I whispered, leaning down and kissing his forehead. "Roll over for a second then, for a second. We're not gonna take any risks, are we?"
"Mm-hmm," He hummed, rolling over obediently, though only making it halfway. I just chuckled, helping him onto his side before kissing his temple.
"I'll be just a moment, baby," I said with a warm smile, getting off the bed to pull the duvet over him, before grabbing the bottle and leaving the room.
I hadn't shut the door, making sure I could hear if Jiminie called me, as I stepped just outside to the water fountain. It took a moment for the water to run cold, causing me to sigh as I waited. Finally able to fill the bottle, I held it under the stream, though jumped when I heard footsteps behind me.
"Ah, Yoongiyah," Dawon spoke, her pace picking up as she jogged down the hall, making my quick escape impossible.
"Don't call me that," I grumbled, stopping the stream of water and capping the bottle before turning to her with a sigh. I had no chance to get away now. "What do you want?"
"To tell you, you start work tomorrow," She said with a shrug, but that didn't stop me from frowning at her. "On the garden, with Hye-jin. It's about time you started pulling your weight."
"If you think I'm gonna leave Jimin alone, right now..." I started but my words stopped when she scoffed.
"He's gonna be with you, no need to worry," She shook her head, causing my frown to turn into a glare so quickly it made my eyes strain. "You both need to start working. I've given you long enough now, it's time to start paying back. The others have, even Hoseokah."
"I'm sorry but Hoseok wasn't shot in the stomach, three weeks ago!" I spat, not quite believing the gall of this woman. "Jimin can't spend ten minutes outside without panicking. He's not ready, you can't..."
"Do you wanna leave?" Dawon asked, placing her hands in the pockets of her leather jacket, and raising an eyebrow at me. "I can set up a car in the morning, you can be gone by lunchtime."
"You're giving me an ultimatum?" I scoffed, shaking my head, having to consciously remind myself not to crush the water bottle in my tightening fist.
"Having a say is important," She gave a soft nod, though her tone made me feel sick. "Look, Jimin is strong on his feet now. It's time for you two to start earning your keep. So, tomorrow at sunrise, I expect to see you in the garden, helping Hyejinssi with whatever work she has planned. Or... The car's still an option."
"So, you took that bastard's side?" I couldn't believe anyone could support someone who would try to kill two innocent young men, planning to take five more with them, but here we were.
"I'm not siding with anyone, Yoongi," Dawon shook her head, rocking on her heels as I sharpened my glare, clearly unbothered that I was fighting the urge to punch the wall behind me. "I'm not going to pick sides, that's childish. I just need to keep this place running the way it always has, long before you guys came here."
"Not supporting Jimin is picking sides," I said, turning towards the door of the room. "And you're siding with a criminal, you bitch."
"I'll see you in the morning, Yoongi," Dawon just clicked her tongue, walking past me, not giving me a chance to argue further.
Seething, I had to collect my thoughts before even trying to go back into the small room behind me. It took a good few minutes for the anger to leave me, for it to sink in that I really didn't have a choice. That Jimin didn't have a choice.
-
Walking over to the field the next morning was awful. The air was like ice in my lungs and I felt like a criminal as I had to practically drag Jiminie along with me. Every time we passed someone, on our way to the garden, he'd tug on my arm and say he wanted to go back in. But this time, I couldn't let him.
After the initial ten minutes, after he begged and cried, he finally started to settle a little bit. It was almost as if he sent himself into a daze, just following along while holding tight to my jacket.
"So, Yoongissi, you are planting and, Jimin, you are foraging," Ahn Hyejin, the one supposedly in charge of whatever happens on the field, informed us. "I'll give you all the equipment you'll need but, from there, I'd say it's pretty self-explanatory."
I nodded, having to listen carefully as Jimin was in his own little, anxiety-filled world, whipping his head around to make sure no one was walking up to us. I kept my arm around his waist, resting my hand on his hip to avoid his side.
The morning hadn't been a good one anyway. He had already tripped over twice and had to ask for stronger painkillers. He wasn't having a good day, not at all, and now this was being forced on him.
I quietly thanked the woman as she handed me a basket and a few packets of seeds, gesturing to where we were meant to be working.
"Well, this should be fun," I muttered under my breath, taking a moment to kiss the side of Jiminie's head before kneeling down in front of the plants we were assigned, holding his hand as he slowly lowered himself down as well.
I made sure to help, keeping a hold of his small hand while steadying his arm. He gave a small nod once he had settled himself, but his eyes were still scrunched up as his arm fell around his waist.
He wasn't ready for this. Sure, Jiminie was so much stronger now but, with the extra added anxiety on top of that Hyungsik bastard able to walk up whenever he wanted, he wouldn't be able to handle this for long.
"Hey, do you remember when you and Tae got locked out of the house?" I patted his shoulder to make him look at me, rather than send himself dizzy by scanning the field over and over again. Jiminie just frowned slightly, leaning over slowly to start picking the fruit from the tomato.
"Uh..." He paused for a moment, looking at me as he thought. "When we were seventeen?"
"Mh-hm," I nodded, chuckling quietly at the random thought that had popped into my head. I wanted to bring up an old memory to keep him distracted, this was the first one to come to me. "You had both left your phones and keys at home, went out and didn't tell anyone because you had snuck to the cinema to watch that new Avatar movie without PDnim knowing."
"Yeah, we were both desperate to see that movie. Not that it was worth it, really," Jiminie giggled, the anxiety finally leaving his shoulders, letting him slump into a false sense of relaxation. "But Tae was excited and really wanted to make it a memorable night by bringing beer."
"Stale beers from the basement, left from Jin hyung's twentieth," I scoffed, shaking my head lightly. Jiminie's cheeks glowed but his eyes disappeared into an amused grin.
"He wanted to make it special," Jiminie laughed, moving on to the next plant, working quickly now that he was distracted. "'t's not his fault we were underage."
"And idiots," I added, giving him a little nudge but laughing as he slapped my arm. "What? You both went out in the middle of the night, didn't tell anyone, left your phones and keys at home, and then got pissed... It's pretty fair to say you were idiots."
"It's not like we got to go out often when we were working," Jiminie shrugged, looking lost in his memories now. "But I guess you're not wrong."
"You two were gone all night and just as we were about to start worrying, a knock comes on the door and it's the old lady from down the road," I laughed, admittedly proud of myself for being able to make my baby feel safe. "She tells us you were both passed on her doorstep, still drunk and both smelling like marijuana. You had wound up at the wrong house without even knowing it."
"No, no, no," Jimin shook his head at me, pointing a finger in my direction though his eyes were gone, hidden by his beaming grin. "Tae was still drunk, I was the only one stoned. Let's not get things mixed up."
"Oh, I'm sorry," I scoffed, watching him, feeling my chest heat up with a kind of warmth only he could cause. "It's hard to remember when I don't know the whole story. None of us does, we just knew enough to keep you from being fired and arrested."
"Well, the movie was a lot longer than we first thought and drinking stale beer is not a good idea, not since..." He paused, smile fading ever so slightly. "You know."
"I know," I nodded, patting his shoulder gently. He would never say out loud that he was epileptic.
I never knew why he was so ashamed of it, why he couldn't bring himself to acknowledge it. Taehyung told us it had something to do with school bullying but I couldn't help but think it was something bigger than that. I'd never press though. As long as he was safe, it was none of my business, at the end of the day.
"Tae started freaking out because I was a hell of a lot more unstable than him, despite him drinking more. We head home but can't get in. In a panic, Tae grabs my hand and we head up the road to the Kang's..." Jimin continued on, reminiscing as he smirked at me. "You remember the Kangs?"
"Yes, how could I forget?" I scoffed, starting to replant some of the crops after he caught me staring at him. "Police officer husband, lawyer wife, and a stoner/alcoholic son who hated them both... Why'd you go there?"
"Well, you just said it..." He looked at me, the blush of his cheeks deepening a little.
"Kang Dohyung?" I raised an eyebrow at him. "The son?"
"Tae thought it was the next best option," Jimin shrugged, giggling lightly when I scoffed and shook my head. "You know, considering we couldn't get in. I was slumped on the Kang's doorstep, dizzy as fuck. Dohyung had weed and Tae thought it would help."
"You know I was up that night," I smirked at him, nudging his shoulder. "I knew you two had snuck out so, I waited up until you got back."
"Wait," He stopped, turning to me with a frown, that kind of stunned me for a second as he pouted, leaving me wondering what I said wrong. "Are you... Are you saying that, even then, you were worried about me? This isn't just a new instalment but you actually did have a heart three years ago?"
"I'm saying you could have knocked on the fucking door, you little shit," I laughed, ruffling his hair as he giggled again. Instead of saying anything, he just shook his head, dropping what he was holding and shuffling closer to me.
With a content sigh, I just held him in a tight hug, smiling as his arms wrapped around me. I missed this cheeky, giggling side of him. It felt so good to see him happy, to hear his precious laugh, even if I did have to bring up stupid little memories like that.
"Thank you, Yoonie," He mumbled into my neck, sending shivers down my spine as his breath hit my skin.
"You're always safe with me, baby boy," I told him, pressing a kiss to the lobe of his ear, only to hear him giggle again. "Always."
-
To say the rest of the day dragged would have been an understatement. Whereas I thought and had told Jimin, that we'd only be there for a few hours - the sun was starting to set, and we were still in front of the same fucking crop patch.
"Almost done," I said, sighing and covering my eyes as the dull, orange sun decided I could finish without being able to see. I double-checked to make sure it wasn't shining in Jiminie's eyes, as he was sensitive to natural light, but he was still protected by a little bit of shade.
He had been quiet for the past few hours, his happy energy from earlier disappearing as the air turned cold again. I had tried to spark conversations but they just weren't taking as they had done.
"I don't know about you but I'm gonna go to bed, after this. Cuddling sounds good to me what about you?" I tried, knowing he'd never usually turn down the option of just snuggling in bed.
"Sounds good," He mumbled, throwing a carrot into the basket, and it was obvious he was worn out now. "It's getting cold again, this is 'tupid. Been here all day, yet we don't seem to have got anywhere."
I turned to my boy with a frown, hearing the difference in his tone. His expression was bitter and he wasn't being careful with the crops anymore, not like how he was.
"Everything alright, jagi?" I asked, placing my hand on his back as he sat himself up straight, shocked by the tension his muscles were holding.
Gently, I rubbed his shoulders, trying to massage some of the stress away. I knew I was starting to feel tired, but this day must have felt like a year for Jiminie.
"It's getting cold again," He said again, closing his eyes as I continued to massage his shoulders. Clearly, it was working. "That's all. Why is this taking so long...?"
I sighed, pausing for a moment to shrug off my jacket, about to give him it but his sharp glare made me put it back on.
"Keep that jacket on or so help me, God..." His eyes narrowed, shaking his head at me so I just shrugged. "Don't you dare."
I held my hands up, not bothering to argue. I just made a mental note to tell Dawon this was never happening again.
"Let's finish off then," I said, letting the harshness of his tone slide, knowing he was exhausted. "The quicker we finish, the quicker we can go back."
"Actually, I think I'm gonna head back now," Jiminie shook his head again, kicking the basket away and making me jump to stop everything falling out of it. The sudden anger confused and worried me, considering it was a rare emotion for him to express, but I couldn't see any reason around us for his mood to have dropped. "Feel free to finish up... I'm done with this bullshit."
I hurriedly placed all the veg back into the basket, needing to stop him from running off by himself but needing to make sure he wouldn't get in trouble as well.
"Jimin, wait..." I called, placing the last few crops back in place before turning to him, though was shocked to find he hadn't gone anywhere.
Instead, he was still kneeling by my side, hands resting on his knees as his eyes trained, unfocused, on the dirt. Damn it.
This time, I did take my jacket off, laying it over his shoulders as the little seizure left him unable to react to me. I just ran my fingers through his hair though, knowing that, even if it didn't help now, it would when he came back around.
"Hey, there. Feeling a bit better now?" I said softly, smiling as his eyes flickered back up to me, watering slightly as he tried to blink. "Where'd you go, hmm?"
"Umm..." He just shrugged, tiredly, looking completely drained now as I cupped his cheek, leaning into my palm.
"Come on, jagi," I gave a very soft chuckle to try and comfort him, deciding to take him back inside now. We hadn't finished our work but Dawon would have to deal with it, I wasn't going to force him to stay out there in the cold. "Screw this. Let's go in and warm up, yeah? Get a coffee or something."
"'kay," he gave a short nod, his voice still a little shaky. I just smiled, tucking his hair behind his ear before taking his hands in mine, about to help him up before someone shouted at us.
"You two?" Hyejin called from the other side of the field, causing me to swing my head around. "Gonna need to get a move on. It's getting late and we're not allowed to be out here when it gets dark. Can we get this finished up, please?"
I just scoffed, shaking my head as I turned back to Jimin, about to ignore her when his hands slipped out of my grip. He had started to seize again but, this time, I had a feeling it was gonna turn convulsive. I could tell that much from the way his mouth had started twitching, drool slipping from his slightly parted lips.
"Hyejin!" I shouted behind me, shuffling behind my boy to support him as he fell back, his head pushing against my shoulder as he tensed up.
We were in the wrong environment for this, I couldn't get him into a comfortable position on the ground and he was starting to struggle against himself as the seizure stopped him from breathing properly.
"Hyejin! Come here a second!" I called again, annoyed at the fact I was being ignored when she expected us to answer straight away. Jiminie leaned into my chest, strained noises coming from his throat as his body tried to straighten itself out. "Come on, babe, just relac. You're okay, give me a second and we'll take this nice and slow, okay? It's gonna be alright."
"What's going on?" The woman finally called back, running over to us but I couldn't do anything than throw orders at her as Jiminie started struggling more.
"I need you to straighten his legs," I said, stuck supporting my fiance's head while making sure his clenched fists weren't hitting him. "Uncurl them but don't use force. Be gentle! I need someone to call Woosung."
The woman started to look flustered but she didn't move, causing me to growl under my breath.
"Please!" I begged, trying to move my boy's legs from beneath himself but failing to do so. "Please, he's gonna hurt his back again. Just help me, call Woosung!"
The woman decided to refuse my first request, reaching for her radio and talking into it. I couldn't do anything by myself but I was trying not to stress myself out, though that became hard since we seemed to be drawing a crowd.
"Yoongissi?" A familiar voice called out from behind me, Jongin coming into sight, sending relief through me. "Shit... How do I help? What do I do?"
"Uncurl his fucking legs!" I snapped, despite being glad he was there. "Before he breaks them! I need these people to fuck off."
"Hyejin, clear this crowd, get Woosung here," Jongin ordered, his voice clearly carrying a bit more weight than mine as the woman finally proved herself to be useful for something.
Jongin carefully manouvered my fiance around, gently nudging his legs out from beneath him. Though, as Jimin moved, I couldn't stop myself from grimacing, feeling the cold air bring my attention to my now-wet jeans.
"It's alright, baby," I lowered my head, whispering to Jiminie, knowing he was going to hate himself when he came around. "It's alright, it doesn't matter. You're doing really well, baby. Just try and slow down now, that's it."
"Yah! Everyone out of the way!" I heard a woman shout behind me, causing me to close my eyes, not sure if I was pleased or angry that Dawon had gotten herself involved. "Make room and get lost. Minho, Jongin, clear these people. Now!"
"Woosung," I sighed in relief as the doctor crouched in front of me just as the seizure came to an end and Jiminie started settle. "We need to get him inside. There are way too many people and he's not gonna want to walk back."
"Can you carry him in?" Dawon asked, sitting beside the doctor, causing me to glare at her.
"Not unless I want to hurt him," I shook my head, though my ears trained on the way Jimin started to clear his throat, rough and harsh coughs right next to my ear, making me cringe. "But thank you for yet another brilliant idea, Dawon."
This was her fault, she should have never made me push Jimin. He was over worked, cold, and tired... That's what caused this.
Awful voices came from all around, nasty comments making anger spike in my veins again as the spectators all had something horrid to say about what they were watching.
He's wet himself.
Oh, my God.
That's so gross.
How did that even happen?
Should he even be allowed outside?
So this is where she's putting our medical resources. Wait...
Is that the kid who caused all that drama with Hyungsik?
"Woosungnim, we need to get him out of here, now!" I snarled quietly as the comments were loud enough to be heard by Jiminie. I heard his little cries as he curled himself awkwardly into my arms, crossing his legs to hide the side effect of the seizure. "This isn't fair and I'm about to kill some people."
"Dawon," Woosung called the woman back, as she had gone to separate some of the group. Dawon nodded, waiting for him to continue, crouching down when he beckoned her closer, his voice low and hushed. "Get him a wheelchair, and bring a blanket. He's gonna be embarrassed enough as it is, be quick. Yoongi's right, this isn't fair."
-
"I'm sorry, Yoonie," Jiminie whimpered as I took his hands, helping him up from the wheelchair, keeping the blanket wrapped around his waist as I walked him into the tiny bathroom. I sighed, rubbing my hand up and down his arm as I sat him in the chair, in the wet room.
Woosung had convinced Dawon to spare some hot water, just so Jiminie could clean up, and after some reluctance she agreed to.
"Don't you worry yourself, my love," I said, taking the blanket from him. I had already changed quickly, just so I could help him as he was feeling weak again now. "No harm done, let's just get you cleaned up so you can forget about it, okay?"
"But you didn't..."
"Jimin, I don't care, darling," I sighed, knowing he was feeling ashamed of himself, but I honestly couldn't have cared less. "All I care about, when you seize, is making sure you get through it and are okay afterwards, alright? That's the only thing that is important. Now, come on. I can help, if you like... If you need me to."
"No," Jiminie shook his head, trying to stand to undress himself but grabbed my hands as he stumbled.
"You sure?"
"No," He shook his head again, a little cry leaving his lips as he changed his tune pretty quickly. "Yes... Please?"
"Sit back down, baby," I nodded, kissing his forehead as he settled back into the plastic chair, doing nothing more than hiding his face in his small hands as I undid his jeans for him. "Please don't feel ashamed, I'm not judging you for anything."
"This isn't your job," I heard him mutter, the guilt thick in his voice, causing me to sigh as I helped him out of his wet jeans. "You shouldn't have to do this."
"What? Care for you?" I asked with a small frown, gently easing his t-shirt off for him, turning to get the warm water going before he got too cold. "Look after you? Pamper and love you? ...Jiminie, I think that is exactly my job."
Deciding to take over properly so he could just relax, I pulled my own shirt off, throwing it over my shoulder before taking the shower head. He jumped slightly when the water hit his skin but seemed to settle with it fairly quickly.
"Is that warm enough?" I asked, my voice soft and quiet as I ran the shower head over his shoulders, seeing the tension leave them again. He just nodded, letting his head hang low as I bathed him. "Tell me if it changes..."
I was careful as the water rinsed over his back, cautious of the almost fully healed wounds on his back and abdomen.
"Tell me if I hurt you..." I whispered as I took one of the cloths hanging on the metal rack beside me, gently rubbing over his skin. "Are you okay, baby?"
"Yeah," He squeaked out, I guess his voice slightly failing him and I could tell he was running out of his last bit of energy.
"Let's hurry this up then, yeah?" I said, making quick work of the shower, not wanting him to fall asleep there. "Then we can go to bed, hmm?"
I think we stayed there for about ten minutes or so before he leant into me, telling me he was cold. The water remained warm but his body needed to rest now.
I wrapped things up, carefully drying him off with a towel before helping him into some joggers, guiding him back to the bedroom. Sat on the bed, he settled enough for me to change into some dry clothes myself, finding him a soft cotton shirt to wear.
"I'm gonna radio Woosung," I smiled as I crouched in front of him, handing him the shirt. "Get some drinks, yeah?"
Jimin nodded and I grabbed the radio of the drawers next to me, going through with it, ordering a coffee for myself and a hot chocolate for Jiminie. The doctor agreed and said he'd bring some up, so I just thanked him before helping Jimin with his shirt since he was struggling to even lift his arms, at this point.
The door had knocked a couple of times but I chose to ignore it, helping my baby feel comfortable again. Though, just as I was doing the buttons of Jimin's shirt up, the third knock came and it annoyed me.
"Take a fucking hint!" I gritted my teeth but clearly, whoever it was ignored me as the door opened and closed behind me. Looking over my shoulder, I left to sigh and disregard my anger as Hyung and Hoseok came in.
"Sorry, hyung," I said, ruffling Jimin's hair as I stood up, sitting next to him. Hyung crouched where I was, though I frowned over to Hobi, who found the armchair by the door and seemed to be debating whether or not to just collapse into it.
Jiminie just fidgeted, though I couldn't tell whether he was uncomfortable, or cold, or... I don't know.
"Just lay down, babe," I said, giving him a warm smile as I patted the bed behind me. "You're alright, just chill. Drinks will be here soon.""
"Go, sit down," Hyung told Hobi, who just nodded and slouched in the armchair. He looked just about as tired as Jiminie and it kind of worried me. Did Dawon push him too hard, too?
"How are you doing, Jiminie?" Hyung asked, smiling warmly at Chim. Jiminie just narrowed his eyes, almost as if he was falling asleep right then and there, before laying himself down with a little groan, hiding his face in the pillow.
"Woosung's mentioned adjusting his medication," I said, watching as Jimin threw the duvet over his head and curled up underneath it, fidgeting around. "He wants to do some research first, make sure he knows what he's doing, but he thinks it may help. He's getting some coffee at the moment but... Are you okay, Hobi?"
"Fine," Hope waved of my concern, only causing my frown to deepen as I looked at hyung, confused.
"I'll tell you later," He said quietly, Hobi falling asleep in the chair without needing much convincing. "In private."
I was about to nod, the concern still thick in my chest but another knock on the door stopped me. Woosung let himself in, carrying a tray of mugs while wearing a small, sympathetic smile. I soon learned it was probably to distract me from the fact Dawon had followed him into our room.
"Is Hoseok in here?" She asked, sounding blunt and irritated as she looked around.
"He's sleeping," Hyung answered as I quietly thanked Woosung for the mug of coffee he was handing me. Jiminie's drink would just have to wait, since he was still now, probably asleep as well. "Please do not wake him up, Dawonssi. Just leave him alone for a while."
"Well then, maybe you'd like to explain to me," Dawon folded her arms over her chest, glaring at me and hyung alike. "Why the hell has Jackson just carried Hyungsik to my office, just so he could tell me that he's leaving tomorrow?"
