Chapter 4, Part 2 - Him (End)

4, Part 2

"I want another shot!" I shouted to Angela as we headed back to the bar for the fourth or fifth time tonight. I can't really keep track anymore.

I had my heels in my hands and had tied my hair up in a messy bun not giving two fucks about how I looked. I was hot, tired, and my feet were throbbing like a bitch. I'm more beast than beauty right now.

"I feel like I just sweated off ten pounds back there dancing!" I huffed.

"Same," Angela laughed.

"Back again, ladies?" Said Michael, aka Mike, the hot bartender with tattoos. He seemed to get sexier each time I laid eyes on him. "I hope you girls have a designated driver to get you home tonight."

"You can fill that position if you want." I winked at him, grinning like an idiot because this wasn't me talking, rather, it was the alcohol.

"Sierra, control yourself!" Angela teased.

"Anyway, can we get some more shots, Mikey? Oh! And can you take care of my shoes? I don't want to lose them." I toss them onto the bar without permission.

In my sane mind, I would've been disgusted with myself for having my bare feet on this dirty ass floor. But in my drunken state... I just didn't care.

"I'll take care of them for you, beautiful." Michael smiles while taking my shoes and setting them somewhere behind the bar. He then pours more liquor into me and Angela's shot glasses. "Drink up."

"Thank you, Mike!" I gave him another drunken grin as he chuckled in response.

Angela and I downed six shots together, three for her and three for me. I already know I'm going to regret this in the morning, but for now, I'm having fun and am thoroughly enjoying myself.

"Only the best of the best come to this club." Angela grabs me by the arm as we began to walk off somewhere. Everything around me was starting to fade into one as I was trying my best to keep my eyes open. "And by the best, I mean the single and rich! So who knows? You might be able to go home with a billionaire tonight if you get lucky enough. Hell, that'll solve all your money trouble for sure."

Did this bitch really just take it there?

I swear if I wasn't so drunk I would've told her that I'm not up for damn sale, nor am I looking for a sugar daddy. I'm desperate for money, yeah, but I'm not about to fucking bargain myself to anyone.

"What's your name, handsome?" Angela says to someone.

I hadn't even noticed until now that we were standing in someone else's VIP area. My eyes danced around all over the place as I shook my head, trying hard to pull myself together as we stood before two incredibly hot guys.

"My name is Jason," one of the men replied, and I could've sworn that I heard his voice before. "How about you and your friend come have a seat and chat with me and my brother?"

He smiles something devilish as he stands, giving Angela and me enough space so we'd be sitting in between him and his equally handsome brother.

For a second, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. I looked at Jason and then at the man sitting next to me... noticing for the first time that they both had the exact same face! I seriously thought that I was seeing double, but my mind eventually put it all together and I realized that they were twins.

And holy shit they were stunning to look at.

Their fancy suits reeked of we're filthy stinking rich and they both had the faces of a model, sculpted to perfection. I could imagine them walking down a runway completely owning it. Even for Angela, these guys were way out of our league.

Pull it together, Sierra! Don't embarrass yourself by fangirling.

The one that Angela was sitting next to, Jason, had brown eyes and brownish-red hair on the darker side, which was wild and tousled like he'd been running his hands through it all night. He was giving major bad boy vibes. I could tell just from the slick smirk on his face as he eyed Angela intently.

Yeah, he's dangerous.

As for his twin... I turn to the side to get a good look at who I was sitting next to.

His eyes were more green mixed with hazel, and his hair was longer and tamer. It was combed back neatly, very professional-like. He has his shit together, that's the type of guy that he looked like. Someone who was always orderly and in charge. Dominant. Mature.

My type.

They probably own a chain of businesses or something, I think. Just look at them... those suits alone probably cost more than me and Angela's outfits combined.

As I continued to look over the handsome devil sitting next to me on his phone, I couldn't help but feel butterflies in my stomach. The guy is fucking perfection. He has that five o'clock shadow thing going on too, which only added to how sophisticated he looked. He's exuding nothing but lust and honestly, I could sit here and stare at him all night and be completely fine with that.

As for him, on the other hand, he doesn't look the least bit interested in me, or even being here. Quite frankly, he looked bored.

I've got to do something to make him notice me. I can't be a dumb drunk and fumble this opportunity, not with all the liquid courage running through my veins.

It's crazy just how fast my heart is beating. Never in my life had I wanted to take my clothes off and fuck a guy senseless than like how I wanted to right now with this handsome stranger.

Feeling like I needed to up my sex appeal, I took my hair down and shook it out. I tried to straighten up in my seat while I crossed my legs to appear more intact even though I wasn't wearing any shoes. He doesn't look like he'd go for someone chaotic and disorganized.

Shit, I don't even know why I'm doing all this. I don't have a snowball's chance in hell with the guy, but hey, what do I have to lose?

"I don't know what it is about you, but I feel like we've met before," I speak to him. It was weird for me to remain silent when Angela and Jason were conversing and having a good time with one another. "You look... familiar."

He finally turns and looks me in the eyes. I fall deep, fast, into a pretty sea of brown and green. "Is that right?"

"Y-yeah," I stammered, caught off guard while accidentally inhaling too much of his intoxicating scent... and that's when it hit me. "Oh my God, wait, it's you! You're the guy that came rushing out of IHOP the other day and nearly slapped me in the face with the door. Yeah, I remember you because you were cursing at someone on your cell phone, making a huge scene and everything."

His lips turn upwards into a sexy little smile and I watch in contentment as his expression changes from bored to intrigued.

Finally, I have his attention.

"That was definitely me, but I don't think we've met before, formally speaking," he replies, then jokes. "You wouldn't happen to be stalking me would you, Ms...?"

"Thompson." I blushed, shaking my head in regard to his question. "Sierra Thompson. And no, I'm not nor was I ever stalking you. We were both there by coincidence. I probably wouldn't have figured out who you were had it not been for your cologne. It smells incredible, by the way."

"Thanks. It's Paul Dejourn, my favorite." He grinned, never taking his breathtaking eyes off of me and my now sweaty body.

The sexual tension growing between us was starting to become too much to deal with. I had no choice but to look away from him for a moment to gather myself.

"Where are you two lovely ladies from anyway?" Jason asks loudly, looking back and forth between Angela and me.

"Just outside of town," Angela said, keeping things short and sweet. "We're not from around these fancy parts like I assume you and your brother are."

"And what makes you assume that?" Jason chuckled.

The look on his face as he stared at her was both passionate and sweet. It was obvious that they had made a connection, unlike me and my guy.

"All the highrollers live over here." Angela smiled, seductively. "Judging from your attire and that shiny ring on your pinkie that I'm sure costs several grand, I'd say my assumption is right. You're fancy, mister."

"Damn, you definitely know your stuff. I'll give you that." Jason grinned, then took a swig from his glass.

He never looked away from Angela, and honestly, I felt the need to leave and give them some more space because things were obviously turning up for them.

"You've gone quiet again," I heard a voice say. It took me a second to realize my guy was actually talking to me. "Are you not having a good time tonight?"

I shrug, looking away from him again. "It's been a while since I've been out like this. I'm trying to get used to it all again. Usually, right about now, I'd be at home doing something lame like watching TV or reading a book..." I glance up at him. His eyes and attention were completely on me, but his expression was unreadable. "Shit. I'm boring you, aren't I?"

"Not at all," he smirked. "Keep talking, please. I want to hear more about you."

My mouth parted slightly, surprise and confusion washing over me. I had planned on saying something logical but my words seemed to have left me. "W-what do you want to know?"

"Anything."

"Well, I'm in my last semester at the University of Greyton where I'm studying human services..."

Oh, shit. I hope I didn't just ruin this by telling him that I'm still in school. A man like him hanging out with a college girl? Yeah, call it a rarity. I'm lucky that I've managed to hold his attention for this long.

"I'm twenty-one, but my friends love to tease and call me a grandma because of how I act. I don't have time to drink and party every weekend because I work and go to school full-time. Truthfully, I live a pretty boring life. So, um, what about you? What do you do?"

"A little this, little that," he says, opting to keep his life story all to himself. "I guess you could say I live a pretty boring life, too."

Liar, I think to myself, smiling while starting to feel a little more at ease now that we were actually hitting it off, or so I think.

"Oh no!" Angela gasps loudly, taking everyone by surprise.

"What?" I ask in a panic while whipping my head around to face her. The expression on her face is one that's both shocked and peeved.

"Carlos!" She huffed and shot up from her seat with quickness as she then started to make her way back out onto the dance floor. "I'll call you, Jason! It was nice meeting you!" She shouted over her shoulder, calling out to me. "Sierra, come on! I need your help."

Goddamn it! Things were just starting to go well for me and...

My eyes follow her as I saw my other best friend pummeling some guy on the floor. I don't know when, why, or how Carlos managed to get himself into a fight but that's what's currently happening and I couldn't be more annoyed because me and whatshisface were literally just starting to hit off.

"That's not her boyfriend out there, is it?" Jason asks me with a hint of worry in his voice.

Oh, how cute. He likes her.

"No, he's just a friend of ours from school." I sigh, feeling irritated while reluctantly getting up from my seat. "Anyway, it was nice talking to you guys."

As I make my way around them, just as I turned my back to walk away, I felt someone grab me by the hand.

My breath immediately gets caught in my throat after I spin around to face the beautiful man whose name I've yet to receive.

"It was very nice meeting you, Ms. Thompson." His voice and touch were electric. Everything about him was, really. And because of that, I felt a twinge of sadness after he let go of my hand.

"I-I don't think that I got your name," I said, knowing that this might be the last time that we ever see one another. For that reason alone, I couldn't leave without being able to put a name to his stunningly gorgeous face.

"Christian," he answers coolly.

"Christian..." I say it back in a whisper just to hear how it sounds rolling off my tongue. The smile that's now on his face widens and something dark flashes across his eyes as I proceed to give him my last words. "It was very nice meeting you too, Christian."

"Hopefully, we'll see each other again," he adds. I nod in response, no longer able to speak.

After that, I leave, barely able to walk correctly thanks to how hyped I am off what just occurred.

Much to my surprise, this night hadn't turned out to be so bad after all. I was actually bummed it was coming to an end, more so, I was bummed to be walking away from him. Christian. The most alluring man that I've ever met in my entire life.

Maybe I'll get lucky and will see him in my dreams tonight.

To be continued.
