January 31, 2020

There was a somber silence in the living room. We were waiting for Taehyung and his manager to get here to discuss whatever it was that just happened. Dad was pacing back and forth no doubt forming a lawsuit in his head even if he knew it would be fruitless against a media company. Olivia was unusually silent, not knowing what do to since joking around didn't seem like the right thing to do and Macy was upstairs with Youngjin. She wanted to be here with me but knew she couldn't be of much help.

Meanwhile, I was silent with hundreds of incomprehensible thoughts. Just as one would appear, and I'd start making sense of it another would interrupt and the cycle would repeat itself. I was slowly processing our new reality we were outed by one of biggest media companies in South Korea.

It all came out of nowhere hitting me in the face. I didn't know what to feel should I be scared of what the fans might do, worried about what Tae and I will do about it, in disbelief that we were caught?

Knocking was heard on the door, dad opened it as he was the closest. He greeted Taehyung and his manager leading them to where the rest of us were. Taehyung searched for me and once he found me, he took long strides to where I was and engulfed me in a hug. He exuded warmth and security two things I needed right now.

"Everything will be fixed soon flower," he whispered in my ear, my heart calming at the sound of his voice.

I nodded into his shoulder, squeezing him tighter. My mind was better now too choosing to focus on him instead.

"I'm sorry this happened to you guys we had no idea of it. If we would've had an inclination this was going to happen, we would've handled things with dispatch directly," Manager Sejin spoke, shooting us a sympathetic look.

"It's okay," I nodded at him. I believed Big Hit would have done something they wouldn't purposely expose or hurt the image of one of their best artists.

"If you want, we can talk about what steps to take?" he offered.

"Actually, can I talk to Taehyung first?" I needed to know where we stood and what we both wanted to do about the incident.

"Of course, take your time," he said, my mom telling him to take a seat and offering him something to drink. My dad soon approached him wanting more information about the subject at hand.

I grabbed Taehyung's hand, intertwining our fingers and leading him to the backyard where we sat on the swinging chair side by side. The rocking of it and the cold California night air clearing my thoughts.

"Talk to me," Taehyung said, pushing his feet against the floor so the chairs would swing lightly.

"I wanted to know where we stand, if we're on the same page, and what do we want now that everything is out. Because I have no idea," I let out a small laugh.

"Nari, of course, I'm sorry I didn't think of it before," he apologized, his hold on my hand tightening.

"It's alright, you just got here anyway," I waved his apology off, "What do you think of all of this?"

"It's not ideal," he sighed, eyes focusing on the pool, "I didn't want it to come out this way it's very impersonal and it distorted our whole truth, not to mention that it happened very quickly, not letting me, us, enjoy this part of our life without millions of people having an opinion on it."

Taehyung cared so much about his fans it was only natural for him to do right by them and be honest. I understood where he was coming from it would've been nice to keep this between us a little longer without having to worry about what the media or his fans thought about the matter. Although it doesn't take a genius to know they are probably cursing me out right now. I haven't bothered going to Twitter or any social media.

"I feel almost the same as you it happened quickly and it took me off guard, but what really scared me was the fact that we were followed for months and not me, not you but nobody noticed, I'm still processing that and it makes me think about what else they could have on us."

"It sucks, huh?" Taehyung simply responded probably thinking about all the times his privacy had been invaded just to release a news article that would go nowhere.

"I don't think we need to worry too much about what else they could have because the company is going to have a talk with dispatch about what they did after all that BTS has done for them," he then explained, "It wouldn't serve them well to keep exposing BTS anymore. What's done is done, all that's left for us is to be more careful." Our eyes met and for the first time since I woke up, I smiled, Taehyung returned a smile of his own kissing the back of my hand.

"I'm surprised you didn't say anything about the fans and all that's been happening on twitter," he curiously mentioned.

"I knew when I started dating you that one day, we'd have to face ARMY hence I prepared for anything they could throw at me," I said with a laugh.

"Promise me if it gets too much to handle or if they for some reason get too close to comfort, you'll tell me."

"I will," I agreed, "What's the next step?"

"Big Hit either confirms or denies."

"What's your stand?" I asked him, although I knew what his answer would be.

"I'd confirm it because it wouldn't do well to deny. I know what I feel for you and know that this is going to last for a long time and sooner or later we'll have to face the crowd anyway," he revealed, shooting me a nervous look, "The only thing that would stop me is you."

"Let's do it," I nodded with a sigh, "Either way army already knows who I am and there were too many pictures."

"Are you sure?" he questioned because there would be no going back.

"Yes, we're in this, together right?" I felt what he did too I felt it in my bones. We were in this for the long run.

"Through thick and thin."

We stayed outside for one more minute gathering our thoughts, however, we had to go back inside where my parents and Manager Sejin were waiting. Going back into the living room we told everyone our thoughts and decisions which gladly lined up with what BigHit was offering.

"We'll work on a statement asap and by morning it should be out," Manager Sejin told us on his way out.

"Thank you for your help and clearing things up," Dad told him, shaking his hand.

"It's part of the job," he nodded with a smile.

I walked outside with them to say goodbye to Taehyung.

"I'll see you Sunday or technically tomorrow?" he told me considering it was 3:30 am.

"I will," I said, pecking his lips.

I watched him walk to the car and waited till they drove away to go back inside. Exhausted, I went up to my room where Olivia was knocked out and dropped beside her. I didn't spend too much time on my thoughts opting to fall into a dreamless sleep.

Waking up later that day I opened twitter and saw BigHit had already released the statement.

Big Hit Statement

Hello, this is Big Hit Entertainment.

We would like to clarify and correct claims brought to light by Dispatch Magazine, published on January 30 2020. This is a collaborative statement from Big Hit Entertainment, our artist BTS V (Kim Taehyung) and his family. There will be no further statements from the agency regarding this matter.

As with all matters regarding our artists, Big Hit Entertainment believes in their right to a private, personal life without media intrusion or scrutiny. We would like to take this moment to question why the reporters who contributed to this story don't share the same belief.

Our artist, BTS V (Kim Taehyung) met Seong Nari last May, while BTS were embarking on the US leg of the Love Yourself: Speak Yourself World Tour. After an extensive period of courting, both our artist, BTS V (Kim Taehyung) and Seong Nari decided that it would be in their best interests to start a romantic relationship. This is the truth of the matter. Any further clarification would only serve to invade upon our artists' privacy.

Reports of our artist being engaged are not true.

Big Hit Entertainment would like to clearly express our full support for our artist.

Negative coverage, by both media outlets and social media users, is not welcomed by the agency, our artist or his family.

We regret that our artist's personal life has been exploited and distorted in a negative light. As always, Big Hit Entertainment endeavors to protect our artists, and will be taking legal action where required. This is not limited to, but includes the illegal recording of our artists and spreading of false or malicious rumors.

Big Hit Entertainment reiterate our stance, "Music & Artist for Healing". In light of this new information, which may be shocking to some fans, we would like to remind ARMY to continue to support and spread the positive message of BTS.

Its official, Kim Taehyung has a girlfriend. Although it's out now we would still try to be as private as possible and hide from the paparazzi, but, at least, if we were seen together it wouldn't be the end of the world. Besides this statement, our relationship will not addressed again to the public not from Taehyung, me or the company itself. Hopefully Big Hit manages to control Dispatch too. About the fans though I'm sure they'll never forget and some of them might be going through a hard time processing it, I know I would've maybe in the future they'll be able to accept it and be happy about their Idol dating. As of now I'm off social media I don't need that negativity in my life.

A/N:

It's officially official.

I can already see all the fans comments.

How would you react to such a statement.

I want to thank the fabulous dappleddaisies for writing that statement. It's so good in still not over it!!!!

As always, please, remember to vote, comment, and share with a friend.
