May 3, 2019

I was in a rush getting my bags ready. Olivia and Macy were picking me up in less than an hour to drive up to the hotel in LA since tomorrow is the concert. These past two months have gone by so slowly it was driving me crazy, but, finally, we are around 24 hours away from seeing BTS.

While I had the outfit for the concert picked out, I had nothing else planned. So, here I was making my room a mess, throwing clothes around, stuffing my suitcase, and making sure I had all my toiletries.

Why was I always like this?! Thankfully everything worked out because just as I was getting my bags downstairs, I heard a car horn outside and Olivia's voice.

"Get in loser, we are going to a BTS concert," Olivia yelled, hanging halfway out of the car window.

Quickly I made sure I had everything and ran outside.

"I'm here, stop screaming," I said, placing my bags in the trunk and then sitting in the back seat of the car.

"Hey, Nari," Macy greeted from the passenger's side with a wave.

"Hi Mace," I responded, breathless from the rush. My heart was beating so quickly, I should start working out.

"Before we go, everyone has everything?" Olivia asked, looking in our direction. "I'm not coming back if one of you misses anything," she threatened with a glare.

"Yes, I got everything," Macy confirmed, roaming through her bag. "Phone, charger, ARMY bomb, clothes, that's about it."

"Me too," I said, checking my backpack once again.

"Well, Miss Macy, care to let us know what hotel we are staying in?" Olivia curiously asked as she drove down my street and out of the neighborhood. .

"Yes, we are staying in a new hotel. I don't remember the name, but apparently, it's a nice one," she said enthusiastically.

"Your dad went the extra mile," I said, "Make sure to thank him on our behalf." At that Olivia nodded her head aggressively.

"It's no biggie," she shrugged. "His job gave him a free stay and we might not have been able to use it since it expires soon. So, he gave it to us," Macy explained while plugging her phone into the radio.

"Is that how you always stay in such nice hotels?" Olivia asks, nudging her slightly.

"Partly, sometimes they give it to him and other times it's through the discount he has," Macy casually answered.

"Awesome. We're staying till the sixth, right?" I asked to make sure I had the dates right.

"Yep, the whole weekend," she responded "Just us. In. LA." She finished cheekily.

With that being said, we set off towards LA. On the way there we listened to music, mainly BTS of course, as we were 'preparing' for the concert. Macy had her camera out recording how Olivia and I made a fool of ourselves trying to rap cypher.

"I know, I know myself," Olivia sang, making gestures with her hands.

"Ya playa haters you should love yourself, BRR" I yelled, jumping on the back seat.

Macy was laughing while hyping us up. Once the song ended, we were red from laughter. This was how we usually were on car rides, we were never quiet there was always conversation flowing or music playing, it was fun.

I tried composing myself and catch my breath when Olivia screamed at the top of her lungs scaring the hell out of me. I jumped, worried about what caused her to scream. The scenario that a truck was going to hit us  came to my head and the only thing I could think of was that we were so close to seeing BTS. My worries were taken away as Trivia: Just Dance began playing. This was one of Olivia's favorite songs and she still had trouble controlling herself when it started playing.

Letting her take the lead on this one, since my heart was trying to go back to normal, I began watching the road pass, I couldn't help but think of the day ahead, I could feel the excitement in my body. This opportunity was a dream come true. People might say I was exaggerating, that watching a band perform can't be my life's dream and they are right. Watching BTS live was one of my many dreams, who says I only need to have one?

I found myself biting my lip nervously. I had to make sure to live this day to the fullest not only was I going to the concert, but I was going with my best friends. I still find it unbelievable that we got tickets and that they are together. The way the seats disappeared from ticket master was still fresh on my mind, it was traumatic. There was one thing I was positive about, the concert will be a moment to remember till we are old and gray.

After an hour and a half of driving, Olivia announced we had arrived.

"We're here," Olivia sang as we saw a big fancy building up ahead.

We quickly found a parking spot, got our bags out, and walked towards the entrance. The lobby was grand with big chandeliers and lounging areas. It was a pretty fancy hotel if the amount of security said anything. Taking in the hotel Olivia and I followed Macy to the front counter.

"Hello, what can I help you with?" the receptionist asked, glancing at us across the counter.

"Hi, we have reservations under Knight," Macy said as she looked for her identification.

"Yes, we have your reservation right here. For three, correct?" The receptionist signaled for the bellboy to take our bags up to our room.

"Yes, that is correct," Macy confirmed while signing some papers.

"Alright, you girls will be on the seventh floor, room 723. Here you will find three keys. Have a nice stay and if you have any problems, please let me know." With a wave and a polite smile the receptionist sent us on our way.

"Thank you so much," Macy finally said as we walked away.

"I know you said nice, but I was not expecting this!" I said in amazement still looking at the beautiful lobby.

"Yeah, next time just say fancy," Olivia joked.

"Oops," Macy said with a sheepish smile.

Getting into the room another wave of awe hit me. The room was big and spacious, it had a living area with a small kitchen space and then two doors. One led to the room and the other to the bathroom. The room had two queen beds and a balcony with a view towards the pool.

As we got settled in, we started thinking of something to do to pass the time.

"Let's go to the pool," Macy proposed taking her swimsuit out of her suitcase.

"Yes, I want to get a tan," Olivia agreed, getting her swimsuit as well.

Not wanting to be left behind I also got ready. Upon reaching the pool area, we found chairs to lounge in and started coordinating tomorrow's plan.

"What time should we get to the venue?" I asked, wanting to make sure the plan was all set. I didn't want any sort of mishap tomorrow.

"The concert is at 7. So, 5?" Liv proposed while lathering up suntan lotion.

"I heard people start coming early to get in line for Merch. We should get there earlier," Macy suggested from her seat.

"Okay, 2 then?" I started pacing in front of our seats.

"Yeah, I think that's good," Olivia said with a sigh.

"Calm down Nari, everything will be alright." She reassured me with a calming smile, noticing my pacing.

"Oh, okay," I whispered, dropping down on my seat.

"OH! I want to get myself an ARMY bomb and a hoodie," I then excitedly said, shaking Liv's arm.

"I need to get batteries for mine," Macy then claimed, hitting her face for being so forgetful.

"Mine is good, I just want the t-shirt," Liv mentioned nonchalantly.

We spent a few hours out by the pool and once the sun started to set, we went back to the room.

"Rest up tomorrow is going to be tiring," Macy advised, getting into bed.

"Yes, I need to get my hair done in the morning." Olivia noted while pointing at her hair, "Look at it, it looks like a bird's nest."

After showering and getting ready for bed, I walked into the room and got in bed with Olivia who was already in a deep sleep.

"I don't think I can sleep," I revealed, wrapped in my blanket in a way that you could only see my face. "I'm too excited."

"Let's watch a movie," Macy suggested from the other bed. "Maybe it will take your mind off it."

Late at night once we had all fallen asleep, I felt a lot of commotion outside of the room. Being more asleep than awake, I ignored it. A while later, I felt more movement and noise from the room above ours.

"If they don't stop making noise, I swear I'll go up there myself," Macy's sleepy, yet annoyed voice startled me.

"Hmm the other guests probably just got here it'll be over soon," I said with a yawn rolling to the other side and falling back to a dreamless sleep. That was until morning when Olivia abruptly woke me up once again.
