February 1, 2020
Nervously, I got up on the podium and everyone's eyes were on me. I was paralyzed for a brief moment until Taehyung sent me an encouraging look. Taking a deep breath, I began my toast dedicated to my parent's.
"Hello everyone in case you didn't know I'm Nari the lovely couple's favorite child," I joked causing Youngjin to protest and the crowd to laugh, "Today my parents are celebrating 25 long years of marriage. While I wasn't here in the beginning of their love story, I have been here throughout most of the journey. I've seen my parents in their greatest and their worst but no matter what happened one thing was always clear between them and that is that their love came first.
I have to say that my parents have set the perfect example for their children on what to look for in the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. So, if you want the key better take note.
It's not necessarily about temporary qualities or about what you like and dislike, not at all. It's about choosing a person, who will stick by your side always, a person who helps you grow, and a person that even after years of marriage is still figuring out the puzzle you are because in reality there is so much to learn from that person. That is what life is about because life is not by any means static it is constantly changing around us, so it is up to you to adapt and keep learning about those we love.
If everyone can raise their glass, please. Here's to the couple that I am proud to call my parents the most supportive, accepting, and loving people I know. To Mr. and Mrs. Seong and the many years to come."
"To Mr. and Mrs. Seong," the room echoed raising their glasses.
With my speech done and happy I did a good job I stepped off the podium and went over to my parents. They each gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek, thanking me for my wonderful toast.
"That was a nice speech," Taehyung whispered to me when I sat back down beside him.
"Why thank you," I said, kissing his cheek and giving him a wink.
When Youngjin finished his toast, which was hilarious by the way the party officially started. The overhead lights dimmed, and colorful ones replaced them.
"Care to dance," my lovely boyfriend offered, extending his hand.
"It would be my pleasure," I giggled, taking his hand.
The next hour and a half we spent it dancing. The DJ that was hired was great providing the public with a mix of genres. I didn't only dance with Taehyung but also with mom and dad and the girls as several songs we called ours came up. I was having a great time!
Taehyung and I were dancing silly to a song when I felt someone pull in my dress. Looking down I saw my 5-year-old cousin Minji starting intently at me and Taehyung. I lowered down to her level where she whispered something in my ear.
"Is he your boyfriend?"
I nodded at her question making her eyes widen, "Want to dance with us?" I then offered to which she furiously nodded.
I picked her up and started dancing with her in my arms. Taehyung being a cutie around kids held her hands moving them to the rhythm of the song. She was a giggling mess clearly enjoying our attention. Yet this little girl had another plan as she extended her arms in Taehyung's direction, so he'd pick her up.
"Hey, are you trying to steal him from me?" I faked being angry when Tae picked her up.
She only giggled nodding her head, making me gasp. I had no choice but to dance alone as the little girl stole Tae's attention.
"Minji there you are," my aunt appeared from the crowd.
"Mommy!" Minji cheered, getting away from Tae's grasp.
"I'm sorry she slipped my grasp," my aunt apologized, holding onto Minji.
"Don't worry about it aunty she's a cutie," I assured her, ruffling the little girls hair.
"When she wants to," my aunt laughed, "Minji say goodbye."
"Bye TaeTae," she cutely said, grabbing Tae's blazer so he'd lean down, and she could kiss his cheek.
"No goodbye for me," I pouted when she began walking away without even a 'bye'.
She mischievously shook her head, dragging her mom away.
"I can't believe it. That little rascal," I scoffed, crossing my arms.
"Don't be jealous you still have me," Tae chuckled, grabbing onto my waist and kissing my shoulder lightly.
"I better or else I'm going to fight a five-year-old."
A while later the music slowed and one of my favorite songs came up. Tae and I exchanged knowing glances and like a moth to a flame we found each other on the dance floor.
"You remember this song?" He asked, twirling me before wrapping his arms tightly around me.
"I do, it was the day I started questioning I might've had more than a crush on you," I revealed as Ed Sheeran's 'Perfect' played loudly. My hands were around his neck playing with his soft strands of hair.
"It seems like so long ago," he said in wonder and I agreed. It hasn't been a year since that day, yet it felt like a lifetime ago. Back then we were only getting to know each other with no idea of what was to come.
Taehyung had me wrapped in his arms so tightly as we danced. It felt as if I was losing my breath, but that's the effect he usually had on me. In my life I have never experienced feeling so secure in somebody's arms like this and I knew I would never feel that way again unless it was in his. As I pulled away to stare into his loving eyes, I realized I was holding onto him just as tightly as he was holding onto me. Surrounded by the smell of his cologne and his warmth, I confessed my love for him for the thousandth time.
"I love you Taehyung."
His handsome face was intense expressing everything he felt for me and even if I didn't need to hear the next three words, he still told them.
"I love you my little flower."
The songs last few notes echoed away until the room was silent. Taehyung and I stayed in our place lost in each other's eyes. The DJ's booming voice broke us apart as he announced dinner was ready to be served. Most of the guests got up from their seats to form a line and I was going to follow, yet Taehyung's grip in my palm stopped me as he instead led me out of the room.
I followed him through the maze of halls that held empty activity rooms. When we were far enough, he opened the door to one of the empty rooms lightly pushing me in. In an instant I had my back against the wall as he trapped me between his arms.
"You've been driving me crazy from the moment I saw you in this dress," he growled into my ear. That was hot.
"If you wanted to get me alone, you should've just said so," I tried saying seductively as if my heart wasn't going a mile a minute.
"Either way I managed," he darkly chucked, vigorously kissing my waiting lips. I tilted my head, giving him access to kiss me deeper and harder as our lips moved feverishly. Taehyung snuck his tongue into my mouth tangling with mine in a dance of their own.
Grabbing his suit jacket I pulled him completely against me I needed to feel him close to me closer than he already was. One of his hands that were resting on my hips lowered sneaking through the slit of my dress and caressing my thigh. Before I knew it my leg was wrapped around his waist where I could feel him press where I wanted him most.
Warm lips trailed down to my exposed neck, leaving open mouth kisses behind and driving me crazy, "Taehyung," I moaned loudly, grateful the loud music and the distance would hide my voice.
"What do you want Nari?" he grumbled into my ear.
"I want you," I panted feeling the heat of the moment, Taehyung continued attacking my neck, his kisses extending all the way to my exposed shoulder making me weak in the knees.
"But we can't right now," I then added, remembering there was a lot of the night to get through.
He hummed slowly kissing his way back up to my lips. With one last peck he hesitantly pulled away from me, "Okay, but you have to give me a minute before we go back."
I softly laughed and nodded, "Seems fair."
Back at the party nobody had noticed we had left. Cutting the line, I grabbed dinner for Tae and I while he got us drinks. One of the big portable screens on the little stage was playing a slide show with pictures of our family. Taehyung was very intrigued as there were baby pictures of me, he would grin and giggle whenever one came up and I didn't find it in me to scold him as he was too cute for his own good. It was shocking how he went from the big bad tiger wanting to devour me to this baby one who could do no harm.
There was a lot more dancing throughout the night and when we weren't, we would be talking to different family members. I proudly introduced them to Taehyung my boyfriend and they would fawn over how handsome he was. The best was when I introduced him properly to Grandma Seong her face was priceless as she recognized him. I think it's safe to say I would not be receiving any more comments from her about me being single.
At around midnight my parents decided it was time for them to leave because they would be catching a flight to their destination honeymoon in a few hours. They thanked everyone for coming and to keep enjoying the party. By 1 am the crowd had dwindled down enough where I could leave too. Olivia was nowhere to be found so I figured she left with her family and Macy was sitting with Youngjin on an empty table her feet free of her heels. I made a signal to Youngjin I was taking off and he nodded, saying he'd take care of the rest.
The first thing I did when I got into the hotel room was take off the bear traps called heels. Relief flooded through my body as blood started circulating again. I tried lowering the zipper to my dress, but I couldn't reach the top of it. Taehyung was on the bed, using his phone, his shoes and jacket already off.
"Tae can you help me with this zipper?" I asked him, waddling over to his side of the bed.
"Sure," he mumbled, sitting up in bed and slowly lowering the zipper.
Letting the dress fall to the ground I was left with a black lingerie set I had bought in New York. Taehyung froze admiring the lacy details of the fabric and I took this time to sit in the middle of the bed.
"Can you help me take off these pins off my hair they're making my head hurt," I then added lightly patting my head.
Snapping out his daze Tae nodded, sitting behind me, so I was between his legs. He carefully took out the pins one by one apologizing when one pulled more than it should.
"How many pins did they put in your head?" he asked in disbelief.
"I don't know, a lot?" I chuckled, not bothering to count the ones in my hands that Tae already took out, "My hair didn't want to stay up."
"I think I'm almost done," he announced, pulling what we think is the last pin out, "How does that feel?" He then questioned as he massaged my head with his fingertips.
"Really good," I moan out, tilting my head back.
One of his hands brushed down my body stopping when he reached the waistband of my underwear, "I bet I can make you feel even better," he whispered in my ear.
"We'll have to see about that," I challenged him, pushing his hand under the lace and spreading my legs further apart.
After our fun little activity we settled into bed to get some needed rest when Taehyung asked, "Have you been online since the statement came out?"
"No, I've been avoiding it, I know the response is probably not the best," I admitted, cuddling into his side.
"It really upsets me, you know?" he said, frustrated, "They're my fans, I love them, and I wish they would love you too. You don't deserve all that hate simply because we love each other."
"I'm sure they'll get over it soon it must've been a shock for them is all," I tried assuring him, although the truth is ARMY could hold grudges like no other. I could only hope that with time they forget about it, but even that seems like a stretch.
"Maybe...I wish there was a way I could tell them to back off," he huffed, turning to his side to face me.
"Don't worry your pretty little head, I'm fine" I lightly told him, cupping his jaw and pecking his pouting lips, "Let's go to bed I'm exhausted."
"Good night flower," Taehyung sweetly spoke.
"Good night Tae."
When morning came around, I carefully detached Taehyung's arm around me. After doing my business in the bathroom, I came back to bed unplugging my phone from where it was charging. I went through my notifications that consisted of messages from my mom showing me a beautiful beach in Hawaii and a few from Macy. Opening Macy's I saw it was a link to twitter, several exclamation marks and an 'omg so sweet.' Clicking on the link I saw it was a post from the BTS account with a letter attached as a picture.

Dear ARMY,
As most of you probably know I have found someone who I fell in love with. She is an amazing girl by the name of Seong Nari. I didn't want you to find out like this. I wanted to be honest with you and tell you directly about one of the happiest things that's happened to me. Sadly, that choice was taken away from me and her.
To give a little context a year ago I was not feeling like myself. I felt lost and sad. But then this amazing person walked into my life filling it with happiness. Something a lot of you noticed. Not only that, but we share a lot of similarities and interests that drew us together and made us care for the other
With that being said I want to thank all of you who have welcomed her with open arms. It makes me happy to see the people I love most get along with another person I love. She, similar to you guys, always manages to put a smile on my face and cheer up my day.
At the same time, it makes me very upset that some of you have not taken the news well and have chosen to spread hate. All I ask of you is to take your time and think of the hateful words you speak because you never know who you can hurt in the process. As a member of BTS and, most importantly, as Kim Taehyung, I don't tolerate ill intent towards those that I cherish or anyone for that matter.
Lastly, I wanted to personally ask all of you to please respect our privacy.
I hope you continue to support and love BTS as you always have done. As always I will keep working hard to give the best to all of you. Thank you for all the love I've received both from ARMY and Seong Nari. I will strive to be a better Kim Taehyung for all of you.

My eyes watered as I read through the letter he wrote to ARMY. It was one of the sweetest things he's done. The letter clearly showed how honest and upset he was. He must've done it last night after we talked the time posted being close to 5 AM. It was times like these that made me think I didn't deserve him yet there was no way I was letting him go. Instead, I will try my best each and every day to become what he needs me to be and deserves.
He was sleeping peacefully on his back but after what I read, I couldn't resist the need to wake him up. Straddling him I leaned down to plant kisses all over his face Taehyung slowly opening his eyes his hands going up to rest on my hips.
"What a nice way to wake me up," he sleepily rasped out his voice lower than normal.
"You deserve it after everything you do for us," I told him, softly kissing his waiting lips.
"I'm guessing you saw the letter?" he asked through my kisses.
"Mhm," I responded into the kiss.
Holding onto me tighter he flipped us over my back hitting the bed with my legs still around him.
"I meant what I said Nari we're in this through thick and thin because I love you and you deserve the universe,"
"Stop you'll make me cry again," I pouted snaking my arms around his neck, "But I love you too."
A/N:
