Since Taehyung was back from the concert in Saudi Arabia and had resolved his jet lag, he had called me to pick me up and go to his apartment to spend some time together before he became busier preparing for the final concerts in Seoul. After class I hurried to my apartment to take a quick shower and get into a comfier pair of clothes since we weren't going to do anything else.
He picked me up when he left the studio and off we went on the route that was becoming more and more familiar the more I traveled through it. I noticed from the drive he was quieter than usual, he seemed tense too, I'd make sure to ask him about it when we got to the apartment.
"Home Sweet Home," he spoke opening the door, "Do I have to say make yourself at home by this point?"
"I don't think I've spent that much time here," I mumbled, but one look at each other and we burst out laughing. At this point I think I've spent more time here than the boys.
Taking off my shoes I went into the living room and dropped on the long section of the sofa that had a foot rest so I could cuddle into the corner of it. Taehyung sat on the cushion next to me and flipped through the channels. I stared up at him to find him with a crease between his eyebrows a clear indication something was bothering him. From the moment he picked me up his mind seemed to be somewhere else.
"Tae?" I called for his attention already cuddled up in my little corner.
Taehyung hummed turning his head to focus his eyes on me.
"Are you okay?"
He gave me a confused look and a half smile, "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
Shrugging, I responded, "There seems to be something in your mind is all."
"It's nothing," he seemed to think about it for a moment before dismissing me.
"You can tell me you know," I told him, extending my hand and poking him, "I can help you figure out whatever it is."
"Um-I just-uh, I was worried you'd be upset at what happened the other day," he stuttered out, staring at his lap where his hands were playing with a thread of his sweater.
"What happened?" I wondered out loud not remembering what would cause me to be upset.
"The picture that went trending," he added to jog my memory.
"Oh, that," I said in realization, "I already told you that day hat I was not upset if anything you should be upset at me."
That morning when I had woken up the first thing I saw were a bunch of messages from Olivia and Macy and one from him. Once I found out what was going on I called him, he had apologized profusely, yet he didn't have to he had done nothing wrong. I was the one who created those hickeys so if anything I had expected him to be mad at me which is why his response took me by surprise. I was also a little embarrassed because it was such a private thing and the few people who knew about us would know it was my doing.
He tilted his head in confusion at my answer, eyes narrowing.
"I was the one who put them there you know," I giggled, covering my face with my hands.
He smiled, rolling his eyes at my reaction, "But I let them show."
"It was a team effort, then," I joked easing the slight tension that had built up.
"It didn't bother you, Nari? What the fans wrote?" He curiously wondered.
"No, I don't listen to people online much less crazed fans," I stated with a silly grin, "I actually found some of them pretty funny."
"You're unbelievable," he shook his head in disbelief, pushing my shoulder.
"I did have to endure a lot of teasing from the girls... and Eun-Jae that's a kind of torture on its own."
Olivia didn't stop teasing the whole day from comments about how kinky I had turned out to questioning me about Taehyung's friend, if you know what I mean. She, also, mentioned how I had a thing about trending on twitter.
"So, did I!" he exclaimed, "Let's suffer together," he added as he fake cried into my shoulder.
"So, yeah, don't worry your pretty little head I'm perfect and I hope it didn't bring you trouble with the company."
"Nah, they didn't say anything," he spoke sitting back up waving the thought off.
"Great then problem solved."
I spent the late afternoon wrapped in Taehyung's arm in our little corner of the sofa. After Taehyung's mind had been cleared, he had scooted closer to me eventually making me lie partially on top of him as we watched an Anime show he liked. I was not into anime that much the farthest I had seen was Studio Ghibli and that's where my knowledge ended. I didn't mind though, because I know Taehyung loved the show and at times, he didn't have enough time to watch with his busy schedule.
His arm was wrapped around my shoulders while I wrapped mine around his midsection, head leaning on his chest. His heartbeat was soothing as it rhythmically thumped against his ribcage. Thump. Thump. Thump. It was his very own beat, his very own song inside of him. His chest would shake as he laughed at whatever was happening on the screen and I'd listen to his laugh giggling along with him even if I was completely lost. Taehyung would place kisses on my head unconsciously his mind focused on the show, his fingertips, paying attention to my arm as they trailed up and down repeatedly. It was the combination of all of his actions that was lulling me into sleep. My eyelids feeling heavy and closing for seconds at a time until they didn't open till an hour later.
Opening my eyes, I lifted my head from its comfortable place in the crook of Tae's neck.
"She's alive," he gasped, tilting his head down to stare at me.
"Barely," I mumble dropping it again, "I'm sorry I didn't mean to fall asleep."
"It's alright, I know you were tired you had that class at 8 am," he reassured me patting my arm.
"Thanks," I softly answered, placing a kiss on his neck, "Are we going to order some food?"
My stomach was feeling empty because I hadn't eaten anything since 10 am. It was a bad habit of mine, but oh well what can I do.
"I'm starting to think you like food more than me," Taehyung mumbled with a pout.
"Was that ever a question," I joked, getting up to unplug my phone from where it was charging.
"Come back," he whined, making grabby hands.
Grabbing my phone, I ran back to the sofa, dropping on top of him. I felt him wheeze as the air was knocked out of him.
"Are you okay Tae?" I laughed, picking up my head to look at him.
"I am dead," he said as he went limp arms flopping to the side.
"Oh no," I gasped dramatically grabbing onto his shoulders, "What to do?"
"Maybe some mouth to mouth will help," he whispered, opening one eye closing it quickly after puckering his lips.
"Mouth to mouth, huh? You know, that actually changed now there's a different technique that doesn't require the two people to touch lips," I said trying to mess with him. What I said is true though look it up.
Taehyung's pout deepened as he heard what I said making him respond with incredible speed, "Only true loves kiss can wake him up."
"Oh, like fairy tales?" I asked to the "dead" boy in front of me, he nodded, and my heart jumped.
I know we were playing around, and he probably didn't mean that I was his "true love," but would it be so far fetched to think he meant what he said? Not that I was his true love, it was much too soon to know such a thing, but that he had those feeling towards me. I had been thinking a lot about my feelings lately and I've come to the not so surprising conclusion that I was in love with Taehyung. There was no doubt in the world that I had fallen for him and I kept falling more and more as the days passed. I hoped to confess soon, but I had nothing planned yet and it hadn't been that long since I realized and was still processing it myself.
"I'll give it a shot," I whispered. I leaned down, our faces nearing to the point where I could feel every breath he took. Delicately I nudged my nose against his before brushing our lips and pressing a kiss into them. Instantly as if a spell had been lifted Taehyung's lips came to life as they molded against mine expertly.
"It looks like you saved me," he mumbled our foreheads touching, his hand going up to tuck a piece of my hair behind my ear.
"That kinda seems to be my thing, huh?" I shot him a smile.
"Oh no, I'm going again," Taehyung's hand dropped from my face and he let his head rest on the back of the sofa.
"Nari to the rescue," I laughed, kissing different spots on his face leaving his lips last. His forehead, his cheeks, his chin, his nose, and finally I gave him a chaste kiss on his lips, "You know you don't have to die to ask for kisses."
"That is valuable information my flower and I shall make good use of it," Taehyung responded seriously, a hand going around my waist and the other on the back of my neck as he attacked me with his love.
"Tae!" I squealed as he kissed a ticklish spot on my neck, "Stop it!"
"Never!" he yelled, holding me tighter so I couldn't escape him, although, it's not like I wanted to anyway. For as long as he'd let me, I'd stay by his side no matter what.
A/N:
Somehow this turned into pure fluff?
I wanted angst, what was lost in translation?
Either way I'm happy with it! Enjoy!
