September 8, 2019

A blistering headache woke me up from my slumber as sunlight hit my closed eyes, they were heavy, and the blinding light prevented me from opening them properly. My mouth was dry, and the taste of alcohol resided on my taste buds. The bed was soft and warm under me leaving me in a daze and lulling me back to sleep at least until I realized that my bedroom didn't have windows. Sitting up on the bed and forcing my eyes open I looked around the room. My heartbeat slowed when I noticed I was in Taehyung's room, but what was I doing here, where are my clothes and whose hoodie am I wearing?

Plopping down on the bed again, I began recalling yesterday's memories and everything clearly started when Jimin called me at around 4 PM.

September 7, 2019

I was laying on the living room couch watching some YouTube when Jimins call made its way to my screen, it was odd, he was not one to call me a lot. Noticing I left it ringing too long I quickly picked up before he hung up.

"Hello?"

"Nari!"

"Jimin!" I imitated his enthusiasm.

"Listen, what are you doing today?" He asked straight up.

"Um, nothing? I was planning on staying in and watching a movie," My eyes furrowed at his sudden call and question.

"That's boring," he scoffed, "Come over to the dorms we have a challenge to do."

I can't believe he still remembers that stupid challenge. I thought it was all a bluff and he would never actually go through with it.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Sounds to me you're backing out," he condescendingly spoke.

"No, no, I'm just giving you an out," I immediately retorted. If he thought that I was going to be the one giving up he was wrong. I'm no quitter.

"I've never been more positive in my life," Jimin smugly told me.

"Alright, let's do it."

"Be ready to lose, I'll send the chauffeur," and just like that he hung up the phone.

"See you soon," I mockingly said to no one as I took the phone off my ear.

Of all the things I thought I could do today getting drunk with Jimin wasn't it. I'm not complaining though it's been a while since I've had some alcohol and I'm looking forward to it. When I spoke with Jimin in the noraebang I was being truthful and he wants to test me. Something tells me this is going to end badly, but whatever it'll be fun to win. Before the chauffeur got here, I took a shower and changed into some jeans, a white t shirt and some sneakers. Good enough.

An hour later I was knocking on their door where Taehyung greeted me. It was a little awkward because neither of us were sure what was the appropriate response, so we settled for a hug and a kiss on the cheek from my part.

"Are you sure about this Nari?" He asked as he led me inside the apartment.

"Yeah, I'll be fine, don't worry," I answered, waving him off.

"Jimin is intense he can drink a lot," Taehyung warned me, concern in his eyes.

"And so can I," I told him, "Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't handle it."

He visibly gulped noticing I was not budging leaving him no choice but to nod.

"The enemy is here," I heard from the kitchen and made my way there.

"You stocked up this place it looks like a liquor store," the counter was filled with all different types of alcohol. Worry showed on my face thinking Jimin did all this for just the two of us he can't expect us to drink this much, plus, mix, that's asking for trouble. Thankfully, some of the other boys appeared on the kitchen calming my thoughts and assuring me it wasn't all for us.

Jimin told me we were going to stick to beer and a few shots here and there. He handed me the first cold glass of beer as we settled on the couch. Throughout the night we kept tabs on what the other drank to keep it equal and fair. We started at a slow place, having no rush and not wanting to tamper with the results. Jungkook had his wine, Hoseok his Soju, Yoongi had a glass of whiskey and Taehyung stuck with Coke his mission being to watch over us.

"Nari, you and Namjoon have to join forces to teach us some more English," Jimin spoke over the blasting music.

"You guys are pretty good you don't need me."

"Please, we need to practice," Jungkook begged from his seat with pouty lips. He was right next to Jimin leaning against the armrest with his bare feet up.

"Now?" I whined.

"Yes," he insisted with a laugh.

For the next hour I went around the room teaching them some more phrases and helping them with pronunciation. They got some of them, then again, it's probably because the alcohol was taking effect. Jungkook was done with his first bottle of wine and was opening the second one while Hoseok was starting to get serious as opposed to his natural cheerful persona. It was entertaining to watch how he'd get bursts of sunshine before going down again. Yoongi was controlling his drinking so he wasn't as buzzed as the others, but the redness of his face was a sign he was getting there. The only one sober was Taehyung but the way he laughed and talked made you think he was drinking too. It was clear he was feeding off of our energies and staying hyper and silly.

"Jimin, I have one for you," I giggled, remembering a video and wanting to mess with him.

"Bring it," he confidently shouted.

"Repeat after me," I giggled, "The girl wore a green dress,"

"The girr wore a green dress," he repeated almost perfectly.

The rest of the boys laughed, catching on to my small joke. Jimin looked weirdly at the whole room not quite understanding.

"The what?" Jungkook urged him to repeat himself.

"The girr- Aish Nari!" He yelled at me, throwing his hands in the air, "There is no respect, why does everybody tease me?"

"Because you do it too!" I defended myself between bouts of laughter.

"Time for a shot," Jimin clapped, standing up and filling our tiny shot glasses again.

"One two three," he counted before throwing back the tequila shot.

I was feeling the buzz and I bet Jimin was too, judging by the perpetual smile on his face and his sassy remarks. Although, that was him most days, so who knows.

"Are you okay?" Taehyung whispered in my ear, the boys around us singing along to what was playing on the radio.

"I'm good," I whispered back, turning my head to look at him.

"Good," he nodded.

"You don't like drinking," I pointed out by his absence of drinking throughout the night.

"I can drink, but I'm not a big fan and I'll probably have to take care of Jimin after this," He laughed, looking over at his best friend that was now dancing with Hoseok in the middle of the room.

"I promise I'm not an alcoholic I don't drink that often, mostly when I go out with the girls like for Macy's birthday," I did not want him to get the wrong impression of me. Although thinking about it, it might be too late for that because I literally challenged Jimin to see who could drink more.

"You're allowed to drink Nari, I have no problem with that it doesn't affect my view of you," He spoke while ruffling my hair.

"That's good to know," I responded, swatting his hand away and focusing on the dancing boys.

After many, many, many drinks and as the clock struck 11 PM Park Jimin was truly wasted. He was thrown on the couch, face red and he was slurring his words. Hobi and Jungkook had gone to their rooms an hour ago helping each other out in their drunken stupor and Yoongi had left before that clearly on a buzz.

"I can't drink anymore," he slurred, lifting his hand up and covering his eyes, "I'm so sleepy."

"Come on Jimin let's take you to your room," Taehyung told him helping him up from the couch.

Taehyung put an arm around his shoulder and dragged him out of the room. I stayed still in my seat afraid to stand up. I was so happy Jimin had given up because I was a second away from doing it too. The race had been pretty equal until Jimin kept pouring shots of tequila and all hell broke loose. I'm pretty sure I looked like a mess, hair ruffled from my hands going through it countless times, I was sweating from the heat my body produced and my eyes were droopy and bleary. With a burp I dropped on the couch on my side and waited for Taehyung to come back.

"Okay, let's take you home," He said from the hallway.

"I can't get up," I admitted, my tongue felt heavy.

"What?" he asked, confused appearing in front of me and crouching down to my level.

"If I get up, I will fall to the ground," I responded, I placed a hand on his cheek as the room was spinning and I was trying to focus on Taehyung.

"Are you drunk?"

His question seemed very funny at the time as I began laughing like a maniac, "Yes."

"I can't take you home like this," He sighed, disappearing from my line of vision.

A few seconds later he came back, "Here have some water."

"Tae, I can't the room is spinning," My voice was very whiny before I started to laugh again.

"It's like it suddenly hit you, you were not like this a minute ago," Taehyung said dumbfounded.

"I must be a good actress," I cackled, sinking more into the sofa.

I laid my head on the cushion tying to gather my bearings and trying to stop the room from spinning when I blacked out.

September 8, 2020

That might explain why I'm still in the dorms and in Taehyungs bedroom, but where are my clothes and where is he? The door was suddenly quietly opened, and Taehyung walked in. Speak of the devil and he shall appear.

"You're awake," he spoke softly, sitting beside me, "How are you feeling?"

"Not that bad, surprisingly," I admitted sheepishly.

"That's because I made you drink some water before you went to sleep."

"I don't remember much after you found me on the couch," I spoke not looking at him directly out of embarrassment.

"I think it's for the best," he softly chuckled.

"No, tell me, did I do something bad? Did I say something?" Pleadingly, I shot questions at him, hoping to find some more answers.

"Relax, if you really want to know I'll tell you over breakfast," he promised, standing up and extending his hand at me.

Was I scared of knowing what I did? Yes, yet I had to know and live with it for the rest of my life. I silently begged to whoever was out there that what I did wasn't horrible because if it was, I wouldn't know how to live with myself or look at Taehyung in the eyes. Why did I fall into Jimin's challenges and more so why did I have to be so prideful! Better look on the bright side, Taehyung was still here and was holding my hand, surely, what I did was not that bad, right?
