Mark's POV
I looked at Jack. He looked so pale. I felt like crying when I looked at him. I sat down next to him and held his hand.
"I'm so sorry, Mark..." Jack said, his voice very raspy.
"No, I'm sorry. I wasn't there when you needed me and that's how you ended up here...I should've been there....I could've stopped you..." I said on the verge of tears.
Jack looked at me with tears in his eyes.
"You shouldn't be sorry....its not your fault...." He said.
I wiped tears off my face.
"It doesn't matter who's fault it is. All that matters is that you're alive." I said.
Jack smiled slightly and squeezed my hand tightly.
"Mark.....thank you....for being here with me..." He said, his voice still raspy.
"I'll always be here for you, Jack."
