Madi POV

A couple of days after the 'fight' with blake, should you call it that, I started to notice how his looks no longer shot daggers at me. I was thinking this as I drove home from school. Then something hit me.

He never rejected me.

I was taken back by the sudden discovery. Most, if not all mates, if not already gone through the mating process, would have rejected the 'cheater' or unfaithful mate.

He hasn't rejected you becasue his wolf simply will not let you.

That's refreshing.

So its only his wolf keeping him from rejecting me? Ouch.

I have no doubt he thought about it. Once or twice but only becasue of the pain. I see in his eyes how much he misses you.

While talking to my wolf, Mili as she calls herself, I failed to notice the large amount of cars in my driveway. I began to grow weary of going in when my father stepped outside to greet me. I havent been greated like this since mom left. Or he was really mad at me.

Shit. This was going to be bad.

I slump out my car, locking it and inching closer and closer to the door.

He leaned in close and surprisingly I found no trace of alcohol on his breath. "'Bout time you got here. I've been waiting for you." He smiled a wicked smile as I walked through the threshold, and before I could even react, stuck a needle in my arm.

As I faded into darkness, I noticed a smell I failed to notice before.

Rogues.

Blake POV

I need to call to her, I think as I throw a small stress reliever football into the air, while laying on my back sprawled across my bed. I wanted to talk to Madi at school but she quickly left today without a second glance as I called her name.

Mate. In danger.

My wolf growled and in my mind's eye, I could see him pacing back and forth snarling every few seconds.

I froze, surprised. How do you know?

I ask my wolf, Blade, as he preferred to be called.

I feel it.

He growled at me. All of a sudden I hear a word flash through my mind.

Rogues.

It's faint and sounds like madi's voice.

Madi.

What the hell was that?! I ask Blade.

When an alphas mate is in trouble the bond activates early. He starts to pounce at me, trying to get through.

A knock at my door shakes me out of my conversation and I realize I'd been growling.

"Son, are you ok?" My dad asks through the door. A couple seconds later my mother walks in.

"Blake, what is it honey?" I throw on my shoes and run out the door.

"My mates in trouble I've got to help her! " I scream to my parents. As I finally get past my parents as I hear my mother gasp.

"Mate? Dear he found his mate!"

I start to go to my father's office where he keeps all names of pack people.

She's not in this pack. Shift and I'll lead you to her.

How? We don't know where she lives.

Her wolf is giving of a scent stronger then the human.

I shift into my midnight black wolf,
not bothering to undress.

Wait-

That doesn't happen unless... my mate was an alpha's daughter.
