I tell him about how my mother left when I was ten, and how she gave no explanation, leaving me with my father. I tell him how mark beat me till I bled, and how he rapped me that night.

Every once in a while Blake would growl and his eyes would glow, but I knew it was his wolf.

"Nobody will ever hurt you again," He tells me softly. Almost like he's in pain. "I won't let them."

"I know Blake. I know." I comfort him and try to keep his wolf at bay.

I tell Blake that I shifted when I was two, which is very unusual. I tell him that Mili, my wolf, is the same midnight black as Blake, except I have a lightning strike on my right leg. I tell him that when mark was the alpha of our pack, he would have guards with me at all times because the rouges were constantly trying to take me. My parents claimed I was very special and that I couldn't fall into the wrong hands. I tell him how I hated the way they talked about me like I was an item instead of a person. But I also tell him that my parents loved me very much.

I miss the good times.

He listened to me throughout the whole thing. Never interrupting, just listening. I tell him about the time we went to Wolfe lake, and were attacked by rouges. When I was done I felt hot tears run down my cheeks. I hadn't  even known I'd been crying. Blake takes his thumbs and wipes them away from my face.

He then wraps his arms long around my torso. "Don't cry Madi. I won't let your father hurt you anymore. I promise." He tells me sincerely. I snuggle into his embrace and smile sadly. I suddenly yawn and realize I was really tired. Blake sees me yawn and he lays us down, never breaking our hug.

"Sleep Madi. You've had a crazy week." And I do just that.

Blake POV

When the sun comes up I watch as Madi sleeps. As creepy as it sounds, I could watch her sleep all night. As I'm wondering what she's dreaming about she smirks in her sleep and mumbles the words, Blake and jackass. Figures. I smile and shake my head.

I slip out of her arms and put some sweatpants and a loose fitted t-shirt. I open the door and slip out. I tiptoe down the stairs, careful not to wake Madi or my parents, and go out the back door. Since my father is alpha of the full moon pack, he made sure we live right next to the forest, so we can have a clean shift, not having to worry about humans or any other obstacle. I shifted into my midnight black wolf Blade and start to run. He pushes to be in control so I let him. 

He merges me into the back of our head as he runs around, hunts, and wolfs around. Blade catches and eats a rabbit, takes a swim in a nearby pond, and takes a nap in a patch of grass. After all this excitement, he was suddenly wanting to get back to our mate, so we start back towards the house.

As we break the tree line he pushes me back into control. All of a sudden a beautiful midnight black wolf steps in front of me. She has a lightning stripe imprinted on her leg.

I sniff the air, but i already know that its Madi.

What are you doing out of bed?

I question, rubbing my head against her neck.

I couldn't sleep and I noticed you were gone so I followed your scent.

She purrs through our connection, sending shivers down my back. She walks in front of me and drags her tail under my chin.

W-well I was heading home anyways, you didn't have to come out.

I stutter, my words jumbling together as Madi rubs against my side.

Well I was hoping,

She says, nuzzling me with another seductive purr,

that we could go... for a run!

She shouts through the bond, and takes off running.

What a tease!

I take off after her. We doge through the trees, me chasing after her. I could never fully catch up to her, which bruises my giant ego just slightly.

Your really fast for a she-wolf. I say through the link, breathless.

You know Blake, females can run just as fast, if not faster than men. She laughs at my clearly shocked state.

No offence. I'm just saying. I couldn't even catch up to you. Its kinda sad, me being future alpha of this pack and all. I ramble through my mind.

Well I'll take it as a compliment, me being future Luna of our pack and all.

She teases me back. I was about to give a smart ass remark when I catch what she said.

You referred to the pack as ours and to yourself as Luna! I beam.

Yes well, you want me don't you? She gives me puppy dog eyes.

Of course I do. And I want my future with you in it too.

Good. Because Blake, she starts

Yes Madi?

I'm ready.

Ready for what?

I notice we inch closer and closer, our muzzles almost touching.

To go home!

She says as she trots away.

Tease!

I shout out to her again, and follow her home. My mate was finally opening up to me.
