Rin pov

He needs to be poked? 

"But doesn't it hurt?" I lean forward looking at his arm, but I scoot back when the smell hit's my nose. It smells like a rotten egg!

"This rot hurts more than an injection ever could." Lucifer looks down at me. "This is to keep you safe and healthy. I cannot promise it will be painless, but I can promise it will help you grow strong."

 Egyn waddles back into the room holding a tray of three needles attached to plastic sticks. He sets the tray to our side, takes the first one out, and pushes it into Lucifer's arm. It's a weird bright green fluid, but it as soon as it hits his skin, the brown patches begin to clear up. 

As soon as he is done it's my turn, I close my eyes. I wait and I feel a small prick. I open my eyes.

"It doesn't hurt," I say confused.

I could the needle going in, but it didn't burn like the other the doctors gave... I guess Lucifer was telling the truth. 

"That wasn't so bad now was it?" Lucifer asks. 

"No," I say "Thank you Egyn," I reply. 

Egyn giggles. "Aww, It's my pleasure Rin." 

Egyn applies two more shots and I barely even feel them. Then Egyn gives me a lollipop. I take it. The doctor never gave me Lollipops. 

"Thank you," I say to Egyn with a smile. Egyn becomes even happier. 

"You are welcome Rin. and might I say you are just too cute," Egyn adds. Lucifer smiles he becomes slightly happier.

"Ms. Todo watch over Rin until I get back," Lucifer says to the lady standing by my bed. I didn't even notice her. 

She looks pretty, she had black hair, but some of it is yellow and pinned up, kinda like Lucifer's.

"Yes commander," She replies sounding very unhappy. 

Lucifer walks out and takes the folder from before with him. 

"Hi Ms. Todo I am Rin," I say with a smile holding out my hand.

"Hello Rin," She replies just staring at me. 

I smile and giggle. "He is so cute isn't he?" Egyn asks happily. 

Ms. Todo doesn't reply and simply looks away. A flame person walks in. They are on fire. 

"So this is the brat I have to look over," The fire person growls. 

"Iblis mind yourself," Egyn replies. 

"I'm simply kidding. Sheesh, Lucifer has gotten you all wound up all the time. It's a good thing you are still cute, although it seems this little firelight may overtake your position," Iblis growls. 

"What do you mean overtake?" Egyn asks, pushing his fin hands together. 

"It's not much of a challenge, he's not rotting away," someone else says pointing at me. 

"Astaroth when did you get here?" Egyn questions. 

I look up and I see a man with a paper bag face standing behind Iblis. Then Lucifer walks past both of them and sits on the bed and pulls me close. 

"When I told you to meet him I didn't mean all at once," Lucifer growls. I snuggle into Lucifer. he is comforting. He dismisses Ms. Todo and looks at the others. "Have you even introduced yourselves or did you just walk in unannounced?"

 Iblis steps back, pushing Asaroth closer to Lucifer. I can tell Lucifer is getting angrier, he is getting scary. But when he sees me he seems to calm down and bring me closer. "Rin is going to be by my side during the day and he will be sleeping in my room at night. I will be teaching and training him. So I may be assigning you more tasks and missions," Lucifer says. 

"why can't we train the younger prince?" Astaroth asks.

 "I don't trust Iblis alone with Rin, or you Astaroth. Despite his power Rin is still very small, either of you could hurt Rin from your lack of awareness. Furthermore, you had no knowledge of children."

"Shouldn't we bring him to father?" Astaroth asks.

"He is too young to be tested by Father, he needs to have good control over his powers before we introduce the two."

Father? "I thought I was the spawn of Satan," I add. 

Lucifer runs his hand over my hair. "We are also his children but in a different way than you are. We were made from magic while you were made with a mother," Lucifer explains. I nod. 

"So we are brothers?" I ask. 

"In a way yes," Lucifer replies. 

"are we sure this is the right kid?" Iblis asks.

Lucifer glares at me. "Are you questioning my integrity Iblis?"

"Of course not Lucifer. I am simply curious, this boy doesn't look like Father and I don't see his flames anywhere."

For some reason this makes me mad, I didn't want to be the spawn of Satan but I am! I wasn't tested for nothing!

I want to punch her but I can't. I try and squirm out of Lucifer's grip but he's too strong, but suddenly he lets go.

I fall against the wall and there is a flash of blue, everyone jumps back. 

Everyone looks at me for a moment, they don't seem mad, but they don't seem happy either. I don't like their staring, it makes me feel weird. I back against the wall more and bring my knees to my chest. I don't know what I did wrong, I didn't want to make them scared. 

I'm a good kid. I promise I'm trying to be a good kid.

Lucifer reaches out for me again, and I latch onto him. I push my face into his chest and refuse to let go.

"It's alright," He assures combing through my hair again with his hand. Even with his gloves on I can feel the soft points of his nails. His soft touches are oddly soothing.

Lucifer begins to talk to the others but it's hard to hear being so close to him. I shut my eyes and try to enjoy this comfort. It reminded me of Shiro... I miss Shiro. I want my daddy back. I want Yukio back I want them all back. 

But I don't think I can go back, tears start to fall from my eyes and I hold onto Lucifer tighter. 

3rd pov

Lucifer sat down on the bed again and pulled Rin in close, making sure to cover his ears. "Rin is already fragile because of his human side, the testing he endured only worsened that state. His demonic side is still sealed away and until we can undo those seals without killing him he is in no condition to travel between worlds. He knows nothing of our traditions and cultures, he may be powerful but he is still vulnerable. At this moment Gehenna is not the place for him," Lucifer replies. 

"If he is still sealed then how did he manage to use his flames just now?" Iblis asks.

 "It seems even the seals are not enough to completely contain him," Lucifer replies glancing down at Rin as he took a moment to think. "Despite it all, he still had a strong spirit. If you can manage to leave the physical aspect out of it Iblis, then I believe you should train him to control his power, to prevent another outburst."

"That may take some time," Iblis hesitated in her response.

"That is fine," Lucifer sighed wiping away the tears that began to form on Rin's face. "He will be worth all the time it will take."
