Shiro pov

I arrive at the academy at midnight. I get off the train and I walk to the bus station. A few men are standing waiting as well. 

"Hey, dude you look like you have had a day. Want a smoke?" One of them asks.

"I gave up smoking years ago," I reply. They shrug and we continue to wait in since. The bus arrives. 

"Does this bus go to the front office?" I ask. The bus driver nods and I get on.

I look out the window just waiting. What the hell am I going say to Mephisto? I failed to raise a child in secret. I barely even remember how it happened. Arthur came to talk with me and he says Rin. He suddenly started going through everything in the temple. He eventually found the hidden room and then the sword...

It is almost like he knew Rin was Satan's son and he was looking for proof. I eventually arrive at the main office. I walk to Mephisto's office. Both he and his assistant are gone. I go to his office door and I try to open it. Locked of course. I get out my lock pick and I begin fiddling with the lock. In a few minutes, I am able to open the door.

Once inside I sit down on one of the couches. I have a hell of a day. I close my eyes and just rest. I quickly hear footsteps enter the office. I open my eyes and I see Mephisto in the doorway. He looks at me.

"What are you doing?" Mephisto asks. 

"I am resting. I have a hell of a day and I am resting," I reply. 

"What are you doing here?" Mephisto asks. 

"I need help," I reply.

"That couldn't wait until morning?" Mephisto asks. 

"Actually no it can't. It is kind of an emergency," I reply. Mephisto sighs. he turns on the light to the office and he closes his office door. he sits down in his desk chair. 

"So what is so dire you had to come here at three in the morning?" Mephisto asks. I glare at him. 

"I was sleeping. So please don't waste my time." 

I stand up. "Rin was taken by the true cross order," I reply. 

"What?" Mephisto asks. 

Anger flows over me. I get up and flip over the coffee table. "Did you not hear me?! Rin was taken. Arthur came into my church and he saw Rin, then he found the sword and took Rin. I followed after him and I tried everything I could but Rin was taken away and I couldn't get to him in time. And now I come to you for help!"

Mephisto swears under his breath. I look at him. What does he know? 

"Do you know anything about this?"

"Arthur came here yesterday morning asking about records on Satan's sons. I told him that there were none. He asked me where the sons of Satan were last seen. I told him. 'with their mother.' He must have put it together that you and Yuri were close so he went to you looking for answers and then found Rin." Mephisto replies.

"This is your fault!"

"No. it's not my fault. but this is certainly a problem."

"Well, how do you suggest we fix this problem?"

"I have a few links that could get Rin out of where ever he is being held but that could take months," Mephisto replies. 

"Well, are there any other options? Faster options?" I ask. They could do horrible things to Rin. They are willing to do the drug test they did on me and the other clones they could do unimaginable things to Rin.

"There is one other option. It would provide a place for Rin to live far away from the reach of the true cross-order. It would be faster. and most likely much safer for Rin," Mephisto replies 

"Let's go with that!"

"But there is one problem with that plan."

"What? What is so bad? What is so bad that it is worth months of Rin's safety?" 

"That option would be telling Lucifer about Rin. He could easily find his location and track him down and save him. Although he wouldn't return Rin to you. But that would be the safest place for him."

"How could you even consider that?"

"They wouldn't hurt Rin. They are on the side of demons and hurting Rin would be considered treason. No one knows where Lucifer is. He could get Rin to safety and keep him safe for longer than any of my other links can." Mephisto replies.

"Is there really no other way?" I ask. 

"Lucifer is our best option," Mephisto replies. 

"I suppose I can live with that. But he better be safe for your sake," I reply. 

"Are you trying to threaten me?" Mephisto asks.

"He better be safe or I will find you and kill you in your sleep," I reply. Mephisto just stares at me. 

"Do you think you really scare me?" Mephisto chuckles. 

"Then I will kill myself and leave you alone with Arthur," I reply. Mephisto glares at me. 

"Fine. If Rin is not safe with the Illuminati you can kill yourself. That should be an interesting wager," Mephisto replies.

"And either way I win. If Rin is not safe then I will kill myself and Yukio will kill you. But if Rin is safe. I get to keep my life," I reply. 

"Speaking of which. How is Yukio? I would imagine he would be a bit concerned about his brother," Mephisto replies.

"he will be fine," I reply. Mephisto nods. 

"You can stay with me tonight or I can teleport you home. the choice is yours," Mephisto adds. 

"I need to be there for Yukio," I reply. 

"Very well then," Mephisto replies. he counts in german and I am back at the temple.

How am I going to tell Yukio?

Mephisto pov

Once I teleport Shiro back o his church I pick up the phone. Knowing Lucifer he is either asleep or out. It rings a few times before it cuts off. I call again. The same thing happens. I call again. Someone picks up. 

"Who is this?" A female voice asks. 

"Someone who has very important information for your commander," I reply. There is a conversation on the other side of the phone. 

"Who is this?" Lucifer asks.

"Hello brother," I reply. 

"Hello brother. Have you come to join me?" Lucifer asks. 

"It's about our youngest brother Rin. I give my piece of our bargain to you. He is yours" I say before I am cut off. 

"why are you making such a hasty trade now?" Lucifer asks. 

"He is at the Vatican. If you want him, take him. If not I will withdraw my offer," I reply. 

"Thank you for your generous contribution brother," Lucifer states hanging up the phone.
