You Spilled My Tea!

"Uncle Rob I'm fine don't worry" I said for the fifth time in twenty minutes.

"im just not used to not having my favorite niece around" he sighed

"I'm fine okay? And you can come visit whenever you want, maybe I'll visit one of these days too now I have to go"

"fine fine I'll call you later" he said and hang up.

"So where were we?" Sarah gave me a smirk "He's really really tall, handsome-"

"And ten years older" I sighed

"That sounds like the daddy you've been looking for since you were sixteen-"

"Shut up!" I hit her with a magazine.

We were currently at Sarah's apartment and she kept bugging me to tell her about Alexander.

"My best friend will finally get a boyfriend I'm so happy" she said dramatically wiping a fake tear.

"No, he's not my boyfriend and we'll never be a thing. He can have any girl he wants there is no way he'll choose me"

"Girl you blind and oblivious" she shook her head.

"Besides sooner or later I'm going to have to move in another apartment on my own"

"I don't think he'll cut ties with you that easily sweetie" she flipped her long blonde hair smirking.

"Sarah I admit it, he's the most beautiful and the hottest man I've seen and yes I do like him and I am attracted to him. I mean who wouldn't be? But it will never happen and I should get over it before it's too late"

"Do you really think he's just playing with you? Or that he treats every girl like that?"

"He's really sweet and kind but I shouldn't take this seriously because I'll only end up disappointed and hurt"

"We'll see about that sweetie"

-------
"hey where were you?" I heard Alexander as soon as I stepped into the apartment.

"I was at my friend's house"

"what friend"

"Sarah my best friend" I answered frowning. What's gotten into him. "Why did you need anything?"

"No, I was just curious" I nodded and walked into my room. "I won't be home tonight"

"Okay? So?"

"Don't leave the house" he almost commanded.

"Excuse me? I'm eighteen I can do whatever I want mister"

"No you can't go out after ten"

"And why's that?"

"Because I say so" he smiled innocently. How could he just smile like that when he's commanding me to stay in and just do nothing. Well not that I was planning on going out clubbing or something, but it still bothered me that he would demand I stay in when he would be out doing God knows what.

Now that I think of it maybe he was right, it's really dangerous outside.

"If I want to go out, I'll go out"

"I'll tie you to the bed if I have to" he challenged.

"Kinky, I like it" I muttered.

"You're unbelievable" He sighed. Is he kidding me right now? He's acting like he's-

"You're not my daddy get over it" I paused. "Unless you want to be" I muttered under my breath. Okay now Sarah's stupid words are getting to me.

"Well then, daddy says no going out tonight"

"What are you going to do spank me?" I spat out

"No I'm sure you'd enjoy that way too much" he chuckled seeing how his remark had made me blush.

"That's not fair though" I pouted. "you're going out but I can't" I stomped my foot.

"That's because-" he came close to me and cupped my face. "-I can't risk you getting into trouble again" he kissed my forehead. "I don't want to feel this panic and worry again Aria please" he pleaded.

"I wasn't going to go out anyway" I muttered.

"Now that's my good girl" he kissed my forehead again. "I have to go now okay?" he walked to the door while putting on his leather jacket. "Daddy's going to miss you princess" he winked making me roll my eyes.

What an idiot

"Be careful" I said just before I heard him close the door.

Did I just call him daddy?

"Sarah you little demon" I groaned and collapsed on the couch.

The next couple of days we were both busy so we didn't really see each other. I felt kind of awkward too after the daddy thing. Did he see me as immature now? He looked like he liked it when I said it. Did he think I liked him? Or did he take it as a joke?

Why can I not read him when he can see right through me with just one look!?

"You seem frustrated" a guy said. I was violently cleaning the counter of course I looked frustrated.

"No I just caught into my thoughts" I tried to smile kindly and looked up at him. He seemed really kind. He had blue eyes and dirty blonde curls and a bright smile across his face. I noticed he was really tall and lean. He looked really smart, kind of nerdy.

"Must have been some annoying thoughts if they made you violate the counter with that cleaning rug" He chuckled.

"No it was nothing" I laughed lightly "So what would you like to order?"

"Just some tea" with that said I started making his tea. "So what's your name, it's the first time I see you here"

He must come here often.

"I'm Aria and I'm kind of new here"

"Nice to meet you then, I'm Jason"

"Nice to meet you too Jason" I turn to give him a polite smile.

"Yes Jason nice to meet you"

Only to see Alexander leaning on a chair next to him. I sighed. He likes embarrassing me doesn't he?

"Was that necessary-" he stared at him "-Jason?"

Jason however seemed unbothered by his presence. As he went through his phone.

"Well was that necessary Alexander?" he fired back just as I put his tea in front of him.

Do they know each other?

"Yes, Jason dear" Alexander batted his eyelashes.

"Well same then Alexander dear" Jason answered sipping his tea.

"Alex what are you doing here" I sighed.

"Making friends with Jason" he spat still staring at Jason.

"You obviously know each other"

"Does that mean we can't bond our friendship?" Jason asked unbothered.

"It's funny you still think we're friends after that" Alexander chuckled sickeningly sweet.

"Alex here is mad because I wanted to see who the girl he's been rambling on about for about a month now is"

He what-

"JAson" Alexander chuckled harshly. It sounded more like a warning.

"I see you're as beautiful as he described" he smiled kindly.

I don't know how to feel right now.

"JA-" Jason muffled Alexander's protests by slapping his mouth shut.

"He said and I quote" she looks like an angel sent from God, I feel like she's going to fade away any minute" so romantic our little Alex is" he cooed still trying to keep Alexander's mouth shut."He also said-"

before he could say anything else Alex moved his hand harshly and-

"Alex you spilled my tea!" Jason yelled.

"You've had enough tea don't you think? " Alex growled.

"You're right I have to go now" he smiled. "It was nice talking to you Aria I'll make sure to come by again sometime" He said and left the money on the stand before walking out.

Alex let out a sigh of relief.

"You don't have to be so rude, Jason was only being nice to me" I muttered cleaning the mess they made.

"He wasn't being nice to me though" He said under his breath.

"Is what he said true? Do you really talk about me? Did you really say that?"

Of course he wouldn't -

"Yes, I do talk about you and yes, I did say that" he said sternly.

"Oh okay" I said awkwardly and tried not to blush. And well, failed miserably.

--------

"You really didn't have to wait till I was done so you could drive me"

"Yes, I did. Don't want any other events like the last one" he answered sterney looking straight ahead at the road.

"But you scared that man away-"

"Just because I supposedly scared that one away doesn't mean other ones can't exist" he raised the tone of his voice.

Why was he so serious? He was kind of scaring me.

"Alex you know I was fine before I met you too I don't need your protection" I crossed my arms. He's really getting on my nerves right now.

"But I need to know you're safe"

"Why do you care so much?" I frowned "You don't even know me that well"

I saw his jaw clench, which was utterly hot and made my mouth water, but I couldn't understand why he was so serious about it. His hands tightened around the steering wheel making his knuckles white.

"You're right. I don't know." He finally answered. I can't say it didn't hurt to hear this, I can't say it didn't make my heart clench a little and I also can't say I didn't want to hear something else. "We're here you can get out now" he said looking down.

Why is he so cold now?

I paused and looked at him hoping my face didn't look as  disappointed as I was. I saw him finally give me a look and I forced a weak smile.

"Thanks for the ride" I choked out and left the car.

That night he didn't come back and I didn't see him in the morning. I wanted to text him and see if he was okay but my fingers just wouldn't do it. After all, he seemed mad at me so I should let him calm down a bit before I talk to him again. Maybe he needs space, I'll just let him talk to me when he wants to.
