Chapter 9

Lea's P.O.V

I look down at the book in my hand before putting it in my locker. One more hour, one more hour and then I can go home. After Cady had shown me the video she didn't said a word to me. Which is good I guess, but the weird thing is she didn't even look at me.

Normally when I walked into class and she's already there she would give me a glare our just laugh with her friends at me, but she looks away.

Is she really scare that that gang is gonna come for me? I'm pretty sure they have better things to do then coming after a girl.

The bell ring making me snap out of my thoughts. I cruse under my breath knowing I would be too late for class again. Great now the teacher can be mad at me again ugh. I slam my locker shut before making my way to my next class.

I turn around the corner when I hear loud talking.

"I said shut up! You know what would happen if you wouldn't listen to us!"

That sounds like Nate.

I frown my brows and began to walk to the direction I heard him.

I could go to class, but I'm already late so it doesn't matter.

I saw that a door was open to an empty class room. Why is he so stupid to leave a door open when he yells at someone?Idiot. Slowly I walk closer trying not to make a sound.

"You really need to listen to me!" Nate really sounds angry.

Slowly I look from behind the door frame and my mouth dropped open. He had push a short blond girl against a table and held a tight grip on her arms, holding her in place.

"You're not the boss. He is, so I don't need to listen to you." I finally heard her talk.

Her voice was soft yet strong when she spoke up against him.

"Yeah, but I should." He growl moving his face closer to her.

Before anything more bad would happen I stepped from behind the corner and cleared my throat. The girl looked at me with pleating eyes to just go away, so that things wouldn't get worse. Nate was shocked at first, but when he saw that it was me a smirk came on his face.

"Go away Lea. I don't have time for you now. I'm too busy right now."

I chuckle shaking my head.

"Yeah busy hurting a girl. Let her go Nate." I move closer ignoring his glares.

"Why are you interfering with something you don't know?"

Because I'm stupid.

"I'm interfering if someone get hurts. Can you let her go now?"

Nate looked at the girl before shoving her away. She fell on the ground to scared to look at him. Nate turned towards me with a annoyed look.

"If I was you I would stop with getting into things you don't have to get in."

I shrug my shoulders.

"And if I was you I would stop being a asshole, but I guess we're both not going to listen to each other."

For a few seconds he just looked at me before walking away bumping his shoulder against mine. I rolled my eyes at him before kneeling down in front of the girl. She was picking up her stuff from the ground.

"Hey are you okay?"

She was shock that I spoke to her.

She was so scared that she didn't even look at me.

"Uh-uhm yea-yeah I'm fi-fine." She stutter grabbing her things with shaky hands.

"Here let me help you." I grab her bag and help her stand up.

Finally she looked at me, but still hidden behind her blonds looks.

"I'm Lea."

I have seen her before, but she never really talked to me or to anyone. She's in a few of my classes and just like me she always sits in the back, reading a book not paying any attention to the teacher.

"I'm Alice."

She was so awkward and shy.

When she talked to me she was trying to avoid eye contact with me.

"I don't know why Nate was doing this, but knowing him it's about something stupid." She gave me a nervous smile clutching her bag against her chest.

"Wh-why are y-you helping me?"

I gave her a confuse look.

"What do you mean?"

She took a deep breath before answering.

"You helped me with Nate and you are being friendly. I thought you don't care about other people or that you even hate them." She finally spoke up without stuttering.

I guess she's getting use to me.

"Uhm well sort of, but not all people. People like Nate yes, but you no. You did nothing wrong and for Nate to treat you like that is just prove that he's an asshole." She giggle a little which made me smile.

I still wonder why he would be that cruel to her. When I looked down at her arms I saw bruise from what he did to her, but I didn't say anything about it. I didn't want her to feel more uncomfortable than she already is.

"Again thank you."

I nodded my head and slowly she made her way to the door.

Before she walked out the door I heard her whisper. "They were right."

I frown my brows being confuse. She is a little strange, but not too bad. If I was my old me and I would met her now I would want to be friends with her.

Unfortunately I'm not the same and it's better if she won't get involved in my life I don't want to lose another friend.
