Hayley's POV

I had woken up smiling, because I actually woke up early and the sun had that yellow shine to it that made it look so pretty.

I had no breakfast because I wasn't hungry, only a little tired. The reason for waking up early was that Lin said she was coming to stay with us for the rest of the break because she was bored and said her sister didn't want to fangirl with her.

So here I was lying on my couth and waiting for Lin to get here, while I was watching Trace on the TV because I wasn't in the mood to watch, only to listen to what the world has come to.

There were so many sex related songs! ".Music has gone to shit. Music these days make me sick... That would be epic lyrics," I grumble, causing someone beside me to giggle. I look up at Ashton who was grinning down at me.

Then suddenly '5SOS- She looks so Perfect' came on, making me groan "Exactly! My point has been made!" I say as I put the pillow over my head and silently peek at the TV when I thought Ashton wasn't looking.

Suddenly he pops up in front of my vision of the TV, causing me to yelp. "Says the one who is secretly drooling over Luke," Ashton says, causing me to gasp and hit him with a pillow.

"I am not drooling!" I say wiping my mouth just in case, causing him to giggle viciously. I swear he's like a gay best friend, or just an annoying big brother.

I look at the screen and see Ashton in the background wearing a hoody and earphone's, and just watching the two naked fat people hug. "I see you have a fetish," I say causing him to playfully glare at me.

"How awkward must Luke have felt being in that classroom full of stripping teens though?" I ask baffled. Jezus I might of just covered my eyes and blushed viciously.

"He hid his blush with the text book and tried to focus on the book, but I could see him glancing around at some girls I think, which made him blush more though," Ashton says shrugging.

I frowned and looked at the floor in front of me. Ashton giggles; causing my attention to drift towards him "Is someone jealous..." he teased causing me to frown even more. I'm not jealous because of Luke eyeing some background actors that were dancing half naked, I was jealous of some of the girls in the video because of their bodies. The bodies I didn't have. Also some of the girls in the video also have a beautiful skin tone, which beats my sickly tanned one. I have a natural olive skin tone like Calum, but I almost never go in the sun so it looks quite sickly.

"Hey are you okay..." Ashton asks worriedly. "I'm fine," I say softly while taking a glance at him before going upstairs.

I change from my One Direction onesie to my black legging yoga pants and a black sports bra, as well as my black Vans. I then put a black sweat shirt over my sports bra and go to wake up Kita.

"Hey, Ashton?!" I suddenly hear Michael yell from downstairs, causing me to choke on air and run to Kita's room quickly.

She was up and brushing through her semi-straight hair, while tying it in a high ponytail. My phone goes off and I answer it because it was Lin. "Michael and Luke just went in your house! You said they were coming next week!" she scolds me.

"Ashton must've lied to us," I say getting Kita's attention. "Well I'm in the driveway; hurry up my sister is driving. Where do you want to go?" she asks. Kita reply's by saying the Yoga place and then the gym.

Kita then quickly changes into her standard yoga pants and just her black sports bra, as well as some black Nike trainers. She grabs some extra black crop yoga pants for Lin as well as an extra sports bra and a black sweat shirt like mine.

We were halfway out the window when we hear a knocking "Hey are you awake, the other room was empty so I assume she's hiding in here. We have some visitors here," Ashton says behind the door, you can practically hear the smirk in his voice.

I make a retarded yelp and push Kita out the window making her screech. "Is everything alright? Are you guys okay?!" Ashton says panicked and wiggles the doorknob. Kita's room is unfortunately the only door in the house that doesn't lock very well so if you give enough force it'll open.

I start to panic "Lo sentimos, no hay nadie aquí. ¡Vuelve mas tarde!!" (Sorry, no one's here. Come back later!) I yell in Spanish and jump out the window, landing straight on Kita who fell in one of the hedges.

I hear the door burst open so Kita and I scramble and run toward the car and jump in just when I hear Ashton yell 'Coward!'

We drove off to the gym when I got a text from Ashton saying 'You have to face them sooner or later. Get home soon, their sleeping over so there's no escape, xoxo'

'I give you guys' permission to watch some of my movies on my account on the PlayStation. The password is "Penguin101" the other accounts are either my dad's or you're mom's chick flicks, xoxo' I text back and get a thumbs up with an exclamation mark.

When we get to the gym I run to the bike before Lin could. Just to get this clear... I hate standing, running and anything hard and heavy, so now I'm slacking. Lin had changed in the car while getting glances at passing cars with teenage boys who had wide eyes.

I get another text so I check and it's from Ashton 'Why do you have no games on your file. What is Kita's password?' he asks.

"Kita what is your account on the PlayStation password? The guys want to play video games," I ask her as she was lifting weights next to me.

I press record on my phone when her eyes widen. "No fucking way are they playing my games! They'll fuck up my high scores! I worked too fucking hard for those fuck ups to mess up my games!" she rants and I stop the recording and send it to Ashton, adding a text that says 'she said no :'( sowwy' and send it.

We had decided that we were going to do Yoga tomorrow since one place a day is enough for everyone to get tired and sweaty.

My phone then starts ringing so I pick it up because it's Ashton. "Hola!" I say loudly, causing him to chuckle but coughed afterwards. "That little rant Kits made, made Michael a tad mad, mostly because he found it insulting," Ashton giggles.

"Uno momento," I say and put it on speaker before continuing my biking. "LeSpeak now!" I say loudly.

Suddenly Michael's voice boomed through the speaker, "Are you saying I'm a bad gamer?!" he yelled causing Lin to trip and skid off of the treadmill.

Kita laughs loudly when Lin lets out a groan, but snaps back at the phone, "Yes I am! Did you get third place in the video gaming world championship? No! So don't fucking touch my games boy!" she yells and continues with her weights.

Well that shut him up. I take the phone and put it off speakerphone "Just watch a movie on my account, please? She's a sour puss," I say calmly and end the call after hearing a 'is that Hayley?!' in the background.

We had switched machines and I'm at my last one which is the weights and my arms are about to give in and I feel like I'm about to collapse, so I put the weights back and sit straight.

Lin and Kita are looking at me wide eyed. "What? Is there a spider?!" I start panicking. "Nah it's just weird how you can lift the same weight as Kita 50 times but you can't even do push ups," Lin says still wide eyed.

"It's only..." I quickly check the amount "30 KG's on each side...Oh boy... Imma gonna feel this tomorrow," I say awkwardly, causing them to laugh.

We hit the showers and head home, well to my 5SOS infested one. We silently open the front door and peek over at the TV room, seeing them watching The Grudge.

We quickly go upstairs and change into our pyjamas, which in my case is my Penguin onesie and fluffy black socks.

I then sneak into the kitchen and make me some tea in a fancy tea cup. When I get into the living room silently I see that they're at some part where everything is dark, and it makes it funny because everything in the room is dark because it's already night time.

I decide to have some fun and flip my long straight black hair over my face which causes my hair to go completely black, just as Kita comes in and starts recording behind the side of the wall connecting the living room from the front door and the kitchen.

Lin stands behind me, and we slowly approach them. The funny part is than Luke and Michael are next to each other and in the middle of Calum and Ashton. Calum is sat next to Luke and Ashton is next to Michael.

I lean forward a bit causing my hair to move in between them. Lin then starts to make the sound the grudge makes because of the fact that she's a growler.

I see them stiffen and their eyes widen. I lean forwards a bit more causing my hair to tickle Luke and Michael's faces. They both suck in a startled gasps and whip their heads at me, causing Luke to let out a high pitch scream and Michael to yell "OH SHIT!" repeatedly. Ashton also lets out a girly screech and Calum just falls off of the couch with a few mumbles as he scrambles to the wall on the other side of the wall.

Kita's phone has night vision features so she probably got it all on tape. She starts laughing loudly. I put both my hands over my mouth and flip my hair back "I'm so sorry! I didn't know you'd almost die of heart attacks!" I apologize quickly, at the verge of tears.

Lin giggles and takes some of my black hair off of her head, just as Kita switches on the light. I then notice that Luke started crying so I panicked and ran over, grabbing him in a tight embrace, "I'm sowwy!" I yell.

"I have heart problems! How could you do that?!" exclaimed Ashton, aiming the question at me, causing me to let go of Luke and take a few steps away.

"Jezus aged Christ Hayley!" Ashton booms, causing a tear to fall from my eye as I zone out...

*Flashback*

"Jesus aged Christ Megan! Get out! I was sleeping! Why would you through water on me!" my mommy boomed at me, slapping me through the face... I just wanted to play...

"I'm sowwy mommy; I just wanted to play... Grandpa said to through a glass of water on your face," I say crying.

"I'm tired, Megan! I can't play! I have to go to work later!" she yells at me and wipes off her face with the blanket.

"Can I come with? I'll play with the fishes in the pond again," I ask mommy. "No Megan, it's not a place for kids," she says annoyed.

"But I miss you..." I say, a stray tear falling from my eye. "Go to your dad," Mommy says still annoyed. "But he has band practice and they smoke there!" I whine.

"Then go play somewhere else!" she yells at me making me flinch. "But I want to play with you..." I whimper. She pushes me out of the way and I fall on the tiled floor.

She walks toward the kitchen table and grabs a bottle full of the yellow bad stuff and drinks it."Grandma says that that's bad for you mommy," I say softly.

"Well I don't care, I need some for tonight, so be a good little 4 year old and go play somewhere else," she says still annoyed.

"But grandma said the yellow stuff is poison for the baby, mommy!" I yell after her, causing her to stop and for me to put my hand over my mouth.

"I told you to be good she says taking off her belt. "Now come here!" she yells causing me to break down crying.

*End of Flashback*

"Hayley!" Ashton yells worriedly, holding my shoulders while shaking me. I start breaking down causing Lin to punch Ashton in the face and grab me while rushing me upstairs while Kita yells at him.

Lin puts me on my bed and wipes away my tears, "Alright, breathe with me. In... and out... In... and out..." she says, calming me down. I then chuckle, "That's what she said..." I say exhausted, while hiccupping.

She laughs softly and grabs me in a tight hug, "That hasn't happened in so long... Why now...?" she asks. "Yelling..." I whisper back at her.

When Lin Yell/Scream/Growls in our songs, I don't freak because she's the voice I never had and with her I could get out a message. My whole band is a part of me that I wished I could have been when I was younger.

I wanted to be more rebellious... I wanted to have a voice... I wanted to not care and be pretty... But I wasn't. I was bullied for having a rich father and I never had a mother figure. I'm the one who seems the less broken... But I'm the one who wears the best mask...

"Let's get you to bed," Lin says opening my duvet for me. I get in and close my eyes as I crawl into a tiny ball. "Here," Lin says giving me one of my depression pills and bottle water. I don't really like drinking them and only drink them when I have a break down. It makes me think I'm getting better.

I drink the pill and grab my big fluffy Penguin that was on the floor next to my bed and cuddle him. I secretly named him Lukey... But only my band knows.

When I'm on tour I take my smaller blue hand sized penguin that I named Cobalt. I got him from Lin for my birthday last year. He's so small so I always put him in my sports bra between my breasts so he doesn't get lost in the bus or hotels.

I close my eyes, "Goodnight Lin..." I say and she reply's and exits the room. I've always been closer to Lin than the other girls. We have a lot in common, yet we're exact opposites. Both our mothers weren't the best people when we were little, so we connected better...

Lin's POV

After Ashton yelled at Hayley, I immediately worried. She doesn't do well when being yelled at, and neither do I, but she had it worse than me at a younger age, and it had singed itself into the way she is who she is today. Scared.

She stops moving and freezes completely, causing Ashton to start frowning along with the other boys. I move forward and look at her face. Oh no... Not again...

"Hayley?" Ashton asks, but I ignore him and watch the tears pool out of her eyes one by one, I move closer and start rubbing her back softly. The doctor said not to disturb her or she would break down in the middle of a bad memory. We took her to a doctor a few years back because she had one of these episodes at school. No teacher ever yelled at her again.

Ashton pushes me aside gently and grabs her arms softly, "Hayley...?" he asks concerned. TH boys move closer and I look at Kita who's frowning sadly. She was doing so well...

When Ashton doesn't get a response he pushes all of us away and starts speaking louder, causing me to panic. "Ashton no, stop," I say trying to be calm. The louder you get the more she remembers which means the longer she stays like this.

He starts shaking her a bit harder, causing Kita to move forward with anger in her eyes. He's going to hurt her!

Suddenly she startles awake and looks at Ashton with so music fear, causing me to snap and punch him in the face. I grab Hayley and take her to her room.

I take her to her bed and open the duvet for her to climb in the bed. She does and then crawls into a little ball. I go to her build-in bathroom and take out her depression pills, taking out one of the pills and grabbing a bottle of water.

I give her the pill and the bottle. She takes them and drinks the pill quickly. She hates them because she thinks she doesn't need them, that they're fake and don't really work.

She and I connect better than the other girls... We both had difficult mothers that weren't faithful or right in the head at the time when we were younger.

She had it harder though... She told me why her mother was the way she was... She told me everything, she told the girls too, so they understand why Hayley puts on a mask and giggles, but she can't hide all the time. At midnight she becomes herself when she's awake, and also when she's alone. She sings softly and rights down her feelings in her Diary.

When she was younger they named her Megan Hayley Hood. Hayley was her second name but because of her past she wanted to start new so she became Hayley Hood the cute adorable girl with onesies and giggles, that smiles at anyone that smiles at her.

"Goodnight Lin," she tells me and I exit her room after telling her goodnight and head downstairs. Ashton is standing by the bottom of the staircase with a worried expression.

"What happened is she alright?" he asks worriedly. "Why did you have to yell...?" I mumble while walking past him and into Kita's arms. "She was doing so well..." I mumble again.

"She'll bounce back... She always does. She's like a bouncy ball," Kita says smiling, trying to lift the mood which causes me to smile as well.

I take out my phone and dial Lizzy. "Can someone tell us what just happened, please?" Michael asks also worried. The phone rings 4 times before she picks up. "Shello mi compadre," Lizzy answers. "Lez... It happened again..." I say sadly.

She pauses 10 seconds "I'll be there tomorrow," she says and hangs up. I look at Kita, "Lizzy will be here tomorrow," I tell her and she nods while looking at a different part of the house/ mansion.

I go up to my room after I said a monotone goodnight and get into my bed. Hayley doesn't deserve this... She doesn't deserve the pain. The memories. It's in the past and I know how she hates it when we get involved at times because she doesn't want to bother us with it.

My mom never cared when I was little... She broke my father's heart. She stayed out late and to make it worse, she was friends with Hayley's mom Lana at the time.

I remember my dad taking me to Hayley's house when our moms were out getting wasted. I knew Hayley longer than anyone.

When we were younger, about 6 we heard that Hayley's dad's band mate also hand a daughter our age but one year older. He brought her one day along with her brother Jace. That was the day we met Lizzy.

She was a spit fire and use to break the drums sometime because at the time she wanted to play the instrument with the loudest sound so in her words 'To scare off the pigeons that keep stealing her sandwiches,' she was a little weirdo.

Jace had taught her how to play video games and he was 9 at the time, but he had persuaded Lizzy to play the guitar because it made a louder noise than the drums her dad use to play.

My dad was the guitarist and he taught me the guitar when I was 7 to get my mind off of my mom and her... boy toys.

Hayley's dad was the bassist but he taught Hayley the guitar when she was 5 because she wanted to spend time with her Mom or Dad. She ended up going to her Dad and he bonded with her by teaching her to play every instrument he owned and bought.

She liked the bass the most though, she looked up to Mike Dirnt and Green Day, because her Dad made her grow up with Rock, while my Mom had made me grow up with Gospel because she said the music Dad made was satanic.

That's bullshit though... And that's why I think I have a thing for Boybands now. We meat Kita because her Mom was one of the strippers that worked at the same club as Hayley's mom and she needed a place to keep her daughters because she had to sort something out with her husband about her eX.

I immediately liked Kita. She had a large Afro and the moment she walked through the door and Hayley's mom disappeared she stuck up her middle finger and said "Stupid white bitch, I will eat you," and from that day on we were the best of friends.
