Jimin stared at himself in the standing mirror as he sprayed his favorite cologne. The door opened and Nanny Ji hye entered wearing a bright smile on her face. She exclaimed excitedly as soon as she saw him.

"You look so handsome. Yoongi is going to be mesmerized once he sees you"

"Do you think so? It's been fifteen years since we last saw. Apart from the pictures, and the gifts we sent each other, we hardly know anything about each other. Do you think he might still like how I look now? I might have added a little weight...."

"You're perfect Jimin..."

She smiled at him and Jimin felt assured by her words. He looked at the ring on his finger and smiled to himself.The entire household was busy readily preparing for the arrival of the Mins that evening. Jeong Hana worked the maids to the bones barking out orders at the top of her lungs. As usual, Jungkook wasn't home. He was busy frolicking with Taehyung so he didn't care about the activities at all.

Jeong Hana called Jungkook's number as they waited for the Mins to arrive. The family sat at the living room area. Jimin was there as well. He had put off his work at the hospital for this singular purpose. He couldn't wait to meet Yoongi again. They had so much to catch up on. He wanted to hold his hand, kiss him, take a stroll and do a lot of couple things before they eventually get married.

"Where is that boy? He should be home by now" Hana complained as she fumbled with her phone. She had called Jungkook countless times but he never picked up.

Mr Park scoffed. "Why are you pushing it? Besides, he isn't really needed at dinner"

Hana simply rolled her eyes extremely dissatisfied.

That evening, the Mins came to the house and they were instantly welcomed. Min Yoongi had become a handsome serious looking man with a polished appearance. He was the perfect gentle man as he greeted the elder couple but he hesitated a bit when he greeted Jimin only flashing him a small smile and looking away quickly.

Jimin sensed immediately that something wasn't right. Yoongi felt distant and when he tried to talk to him, he gave him a brief quickly reply. What's happening?

Before long, the two families sat down to have dinner. They spoke about idle matters. About family and business, things that Jimin wasn't interested in. He was only interested in Yoongi. He tried many times to drift the other's attention to the ring on his finger but he didn't budge. Yoongi didn't even glance at him while he ate his food. He suddenly remembered Jungkook's words

Maybe he's cheating!"

"What? You two haven't seen in like fifteen years and you expect him to what, be a saint waiting for you?"

Jimin was upset and felt like crying but he held himself. He had to hear from Yoongi's own mouth the reason why he was acting so coldly. He shouldn't jump into conclusions.

The parents began to discuss about the wedding and Yoongi immediately interrupted them.

"I'm sorry to interrupt but where's Kookie? I haven't seen him since we came"

Silence.

Jimin watched the other. He looked very curious just by mentioning Jungkook's name.

Hana smiled "Oh Jungkook? He went out but he will be back"

"By this time? Isn't it late?"

Silence. Jimin wondered why Yoongi was worried about Jungkook. They didn't even know each other that well so why all these concern? They suddenly heard a sing song voice and Jungkook appeared in the living room swinging his hand bag from side to side as though he was in a photo shoot.

"Hello... beautiful people!" He said loudly.

"Sorry I'm late" he said and sat on his usual spot beside Jimin. He picked up a cherry on the table and licked it while winking at Yoongi.

Jimin thought he was blind when he noticed how Yoongi's face seemed to light up as soon as Jungkook entered. His moody expression changed and he seemed a lot brighter. So many thoughts passed through his head but he didn't want to believe any of it. The dinner soon ended.

"Let's leave the two love birds to themselves now shall we?" Mr Park said and the couples left leaving the three youths behind.

Yoongi smiled at Jungkook. "Can you join us? It's been a while"

Jimin flinched. It's been a while? But they haven't seen in years.

Jungkook simply got up. "I wouldn't want to intrude. Besides you both have a lot to discuss"

He winked and walked away swinging his little hips left and right. Jimin noticed the swooned expression on Yoongi's face as Jungkook left and had to cough twice to get his attention.

"Sorry, what were you saying?" The other said looking embarrassed.

"Can we leave now?"

Yoongi slightly nodded his head and the two of them left the table and walked away together.

The silence was heavy between them. No one spoke and Jimin could feel an emotional distance between them. Maybe it was because they hadn't seen each other for years. He didn't want to think that perhaps, the other's feelings for him had changed. They walked out of the mansion towards the open fields.

"You look so much better than the pictures" Jimin began, fidgeting a little.

"You too...you look really good. You have grown into a fine young man"

Jimin suddenly lifted up his finger showing the other the ring which was now tightly fitted.

"It fits perfectly right now" he giggled.

Yoongi nodded, lowering his head. Jimin suddenly grabbed his hand. "I'm so happy to see you again... you have no idea how long I have waited for this moment. I did everything you asked....I ....."

Yoongi suddenly held his hand and pushed it away.

"Jimin, I have to tell you something..."

Jimin blinked at him.

"It's something you have to know Immediately or it wouldn't make sense prolonging it"

Jimin's heart beat faster with curiosity and apprehension.

"Go ahead, tell me!"

The air between them was tense and uncomfortable. Jimin could sense the fore boding in the atmosphere.

"I can't marry you...."

Stone cold silence.

"I'm in love with someone else"

Jimin stepped back in confusion, tears filling his eyes within seconds. His legs could barely keep him up and he was shaking severely.

"What?" He whispered, lips quivering.

"It happened two years ago when I traveled to Busan. I met someone there... someone who really captivated me and stole my heart. I was really going to marry you but falling for this person was something I couldn't help"

Jimin shook his head. "I can't believe this. This is a dream...I'm dreaming"

Yoongi held his arm tightly. "It's not. I've been with this person for two years now. I can't keep decieving you which is why I had to tell you today"

Jimin pushed his arm away. "But you've been decieving me all along. What about the promises you made to me? How could you do this to me?" He yelled

He was crying profusely now, eyes red and swollen

"I'm sorry...I'm really sorry"

"Do I look like a fool? Am I the only one who's a fool? How could you treat me this way? I kept myself just for you. For fifteen whole years, I waited for you. I waited for the day we would be together. Do you think I didn't have admirers out there? Do you really think that?"

Yoongi couldn't say a word. He kept his head down unable to look him in the eye.

"Who is this person? Who is he? Who is the one you're leaving me for?"

Yoongi didn't answer.

"Speak! Tell me!" He yelled. He was so angry and his heart was completely shattered.

"It's Jungkook, your brother"

As soon as he said that, it was like Jimin had been poured ice cold water all over his body. He stood still completely shocked.

"What did you say?"

"I'm sorry Jimin..."

"You've been seeing my brother? All these years? It can't be...how..
how far have you gone?"

Yoongi's silence was enough answer and Jimin finally broke down. He became numb.

"I'm making the official announcement today. I'm going to marry Jungkook. I know it's selfish of me but I wish you can understand"

Silence

"Besides, this marriage wasn't by our choice. It was an agreement between our families.

But you had wanted to marry me by your own choice. You told me you loved me

Jimin said in his mind but he was too shocked to speak.

"I wish we could start all over again as friends"

Friends? I wasted fifteen years of my life for you

Again, Jimin didn't speak.

"I want to be alone" he finally said, turned and walked away in a daze. Yoongi called him out but he had completely blanked out. He didn't know how long he had been at his special place but when he returned, he could hear laughter and chatter coming from the mansion but as soon as he made his presence known, the laughter died down and everyone stopped talking.

He turned and looked at Yoongi and Jungkook pressed against each other. Yoongi had his arms around Jungkook's waist causing his heart to hurt tremendously.

"Oh you're here...join us in celebrating this good news" Jeong Hana said loudly. She had a malicious grin on her face.

Mr Park smiled awkwardly "You must be shocked that Jungkook and Yoongi are getting married. We can all sit together like a family and talk about how we can move forward"

Jimin shook his head tiredly, he was emotionally drained. "You all can celebrate amongst yourselves. I'll like to be alone" He said and climbed to his room leaving the pairs of eyes watching him.

He met Nanny Ji hye waiting outside his door. She looked very sad and concerned.

"I'm sorry...."

"I don't want to talk about it. I just want to be alone"

Nanny Ji hye nodded her head and made way for him to enter his room. As soon as he was alone, he cried with so much pain. He cried till he grew tired. He looked at the ring on his finger and threw it across the room in anger but minutes later, he picked it up again feeling helpless. He had invested so much love on Yoongi, so much he didn't think he could love like that again. He had given everything to their relationship and even after he had been betrayed this way, he realized he really couldn't move on. It was the hardest thing to do. How could he? Shamelessly, he stuck the ring back to his finger sobbing silently.

Hours passed and he was on the floor unwilling to get up when the door flung open and Jungkook entered grinning.

"You look pathetic!"

"What are you doing here?" Jimin growled.

"Calm down brother. No need to get all defensive!"

"Get out!"

Jungkook ignored him. "Didn't I tell you he was cheating? You make me sick. Did you really think we live in a fairy tale world"

"Wake up saint Jimin. Even if it wasn't me, it would have been anyone else"

Jimin stood up shaking in anger. "You approached him on purpose didn't you? I'm sure you planned everything with your mother"

Jungkook rolled his eyes "And what if I did? How can you blame me? Blame your dear Yoongi for falling for me. He didn't love you enough to stay loyal to you"

Jimin shook his head. "How could he have resisted you? Look at you. You are handsome, seductive, charming...you have guys pining for you wherever you go. You are at the center of your own world. I only had Yoongi. Why couldn't you leave him for me?"

That's what you think Jungkook thought to himself.

"Do you even love him?"

Jungkook sighed. "who cares about love anyway? Money is what I need. His money and besides, we'll all benefit from it"

"You're shameless!"

"Anyway, what has happened has happened. You have to accept it and try not to cause trouble between Yoongi and me"

Jimin smiled bitterly. "Don't worry. I won't stoop that low but one day, I hope you'll feel what I feel...this intense pain and you'll experience what it's like to loose the most precious thing to you"

He had tears in his eyes as he said this. Jungkook ignored his words and walked away. He was fabulous. He had no weakness so Jimin was only saying nonsense. He was in perfect control. As soon as he thought this, he left the room...
