It was an event mostly attended by the creme de la creme of the society. Jimin fussed with his suit, feeling out of place. This was the last place he wanted to be but for his brother, it was paradise. Here, he was free to flirt and mingle as much as he liked that not even Yoongi could control him.

This party was organized by a member of Mr Park's party to celebrate his twenty year anniversary with his wife. There was singing and dancing. People were enjoying themselves but Jimin was bored out of his mind making idle talks with people he had little or no interest in but he had no choice. His father had forced him to attend the ceremony in hopes of clinching a rare suitable gay suitor that their family could milk dry. Mr Park was desperate for salvation. Yoongi seemed not to be as loaded as he thought making him somewhat regret the fact that he made his son marry him.

Mr Park Han Soo was looking for a potential target for his eldest son so his eyes was on the lookout. The party was progressing when Jeong Hana approached Jimin who was wearing a dreary expression on his face, looking as if he was about to swallow poison.

"Can you at least wipe that depressing look off your face?" She said.

"This is a party and you should smile, mingle and enjoy yourself"

She frowned. "Your father is doing this for your sake you know"

Jimin chuckled sarcastically. "Yeah Right.... he's doing it for himself. He's willing to sell his son to someone as long as he's loaded"

Hana frowned "It's what's best for the family... now behave"

She left him to mingle with her fake society friends. Jimin looked at his family members. They were all so good at pretending. His father's business was in a crisis but here they were acting like everything was under control. He decided he needed a drink to cool himself.

He walked over the the bar and the bartender poured him a drink.

"Boring isn't it?" A voice spoke beside him. Jimin turned his head and as soon as he saw Yoongi, he visibly shook but tried to control his reaction. He didn't want the other to know he still had an effect on him.

"Yeah...yeah...it is" he muttered

He tried to smile. "Where's Jungkook?"

Yoongi looked towards Jungkook's direction where he was laughing with a group of people "He's out there having the time of his life. I don't think he notices I'm gone"

He shrugged. "While we were courting, he was never this...."

"Wild" Jimin finished for him.

"But that's who he is. I'm sure it's what attracted you to him"

Yoongi sighed taking a sip of his own drink. "Yeah... it's what attracted me at first but...."

"Marriage is a whole different ball game and I don't think Jungkook was ready for it"

Jimin sighed. "Just give him time. He'll adjust. he's just not used to being refrained... but he'll learn. It's only a matter of time"

Yoongi stared deeply at Jimin as if he was seeing him with new eyes and smiled. "I don't know how you do it...but you always have the right words to say"

He fondled his shoulder wearing a small smile on his face. "I'm glad we are still friends. You totally get me Jimin... thank you"

Jimin smiled awkwardly. Friends? I should have been married to you he thought to himself but he kept his thoughts to himself and Instead, started to focus on his drink when they heard loud whispers and murmurings among the crowds. Jimin was attracted to the noise so he looked up only to be shocked seeing the presence of someone he wasn't expecting to see standing in the middle of the hall. It was Taehyung and behind him stood Hoseok.

There was a graceful aura coming from Taehyung. He was different from the rough looking man he was used to seeing. He was clean shaven and dressed in the most beautiful white suit he had ever seen. Everything about him screamed expensive from head to toe. Jimin searched for Jungkook with his eyes in the crowd. When he finally saw his brother, he looked like death itself, completely frozen on the spot.

"Mmh...I think I know that guy" Yoongi said. Jimin heard what he said immediately.

The host walked over to Taehyung looking at him with curiosity.

"Welcome Mr...."

"Kim Taehyung" came Hoseok's blunt reply.

The man nodded. "of course... though, I don't think we have met before. This event is exclusively for members of the upper class of society"

Taehyung smiled. "I see, which means I'm a part of you"

He bowed in curtesy. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Kim Taehyung. The chairman of Bangtan group of companies"

The entire crowd gasped. This young man was the chairman of Bangtan bank?. No one knew the owner of that big named company in town. They didn't even know how he looked like. All they knew was that he was a billionaire who decided to shy away from public events so it was a mystery he decided to show himself at such a time.

"I'm sorry it took me so long to introduce myself" he said.

The host suddenly laughed and everyone joined in. They were standing in the presence of one of the richest men in town if not the richest. Everyone wanted to acquaint themselves with him. Jimin rolled his eyes at the hypocrisy stinking the air.

He watched as everyone started to gather around Taehyung. Jimin knew why the latter had suddenly decided to let himself associate with the upper class. It was mainly to get closer to his family and carry out his revenge plans. He had a smug smile on his face as he interacted with everyone.

Yoongi left his seat to meet Jungkook. The other was in a state of shock after Taehyung's surprise revelation.

"Come, let's meet him. He's a new friend I made" Yoongi said and Jungkook's eyes widened in disbelief. "What? He's your friend?"

Yoongi scoffed. "why do you look so surprised? Come on, let's go and meet him."

Jungkook protested inwardly but he had no choice as Yoongi took his hand and started to lead him towards Taehyung until they stopped in front of the latter.

"Long time no see my friend. Do you remember me?" Yoongi began beaming brightly

Taehyung raised his eyes to look at him. His gaze darkened when those eyes fell on Jungkook who was biting his lips and clenching his fist tightly that veins began to show. Taehyung nodded faking a smile

"Yeah...of course I remember you. The only one who was able to match me at the gambling table."

"That's me...Did your mission go well? How was your trip?"

"Oh...it went splendid"

He eyed Jungkook from the corner of his eyes. "And this is..."

"Oh... forgive my manners. This is my husband Jungkook. He was the one I was talking about. We got married three months ago"

Taehyung's lips curved in a sardonic smile only Jungkook could see. He saw the irritation in his eyes as he held out his hand.

"It's nice to meet you. Congratulations on your wedding"

"Th... thank you" Jungkook murmured. He quickly shook his hand. He wasn't prepared for this. This was too much to handle. He didn't think it was going to be this difficult to face Taehyung. As far as he was concerned, Taehyung was poor, a struggling labourer. He had thought should they meet again, he would tell him the truth to his face. It wouldn't be a hassle breaking up with him and showing off his relationship but to find out he was actually crazy rich, a billionaire he didn't know what to think. Now, everything was different and he was full of regrets wishing he could turn back time

"So how about your love life?" Yoongi said breaking into his thoughts " You told me you were going to propose when you returned. Am I hearing wedding bells?"

Jungkook looked at Taehyung and noticed the strain in his eyes. He gave him a brief sad glance before focusing his attention back on Yoongi.

"He left me for someone else"

"What?"

"I came back only to find out that the man I loved was married to another"

Jungkook shuddered. Yoongi shook his head looking disgusted.

"What a traitor! Couldn't he have waited? Seems like he was a two timer. It's a good thing he left. You'll find someone better"

Jimin was watching the three of them discussing and all he could think about was a tragic love story with Yoongi trapped in the middle. He had no idea that his 'new friend' and husband used to be lovers. What a twisted situation.

His father suddenly appeared to him. "let's go!" He said in a stern voice and dragged him by his hand. Jimin knew what was going on in his father's head but that would only happen over his dead body.

They reached the three who were still discussing and Jimin immediately noticed how Taehyung's body language changed as soon as he noticed Mr Park's presence

"Good day to you Mr Kim. It's an honor to meet you today"

Taehyung simply bowed his head but did not say a word. Mr Park seemed to notice the tension between them but he continued anyway.

"I'm sure you are aware of me. I'm the former mayor of this town. Park Han Soo."

Yoongi spoke up. "He's my father in law"

Taehyung feigned a smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you"

Jimin shook his head. That smile was so fake.

"This is my wife Hana"

Jeong Hana waved at Taehyung while Mr Park continued. "And my two sons Jungkook and Jimin"

Taehyung's gaze softened as soon as it landed on Jimin.

"He's also very very single" Mr Park added making Jimin to grow red in the face. No way. This wasn't happening. His father was shamelessly matchmaking him with a man he had no idea hated him to the very core. He didn't know he was inviting the lion to his own den.

Taehyung chuckled. "I see..."

He looked Jimin up and down and the latter felt so embarrassed.

"I know you don't really know us but will you mind having dinner with us tomorrow night"

Taehyung couldn't be happier. He immediately nodded. "of course. I would love to"

"And also, we can discuss business. What do you think about forming a partnership with us"

Taehyung arched his eye brows. "Partnership?" He had a devious look in his eyes. "we'll see about that"

Jungkook suddenly broke into the conversation. "Can you all excuse me? I don't feel too well" he said and hurried away.

Jimin noticed Taehyung's eyes discreetly following his brother as he left. Minutes later, Taehyung had disappeared as well and Jimin just knew he had gone to find Jungkook. They were in a risky situation and if someone spotted them together, it wouldn't be good so he started to look for them"

Taehyung received a text from Jungkook to meet inside the house. After a while, he was able to discharge Yoongi and went to look for Jungkook.

He stopped at a narrow corridor completely confused at where he should go when he felt a hand pulling him. Within seconds, a pair of lips were on his, kissing him senseless, hands roaming his body.

"I've missed you so much. Why didn't you tell me who you were. Why didn't you tell me you were a billionaire" Jungkook's breathed against his lips.

Taehyung couldn't believe what he just heard so he pushed Jungkook off him. His lips were already quite swollen from the harsh kissing. The latter didn't look any better, his lips swollen and his expression hazy

"How dare you? Are you crazy? What if someone sees us? How could you even think of kissing me in this situation"

Jungkook lowered his head looking pitiable "I'm really sorry Tae. I didn't mean to betray you but it was my parents fault. Not mine"

"They forced me to marry Yoongi for money. I have no feelings for him at all. You're the one I really love!"

Taehyung growled. "Don't! Don't you dare try to decieve me. You left me for someone else because you thought I was poor. Plain and simple"

Jungkook pouted "Yes! Maybe I did. I didn't want to spend my life in poverty! Is that so wrong?"

"Three months! Three months, I suffered Jungkook. The thought of returning to you was the only thing that kept me going but you played me. You had planned to leave me from the very beginning. You never loved me. You only loved seeing me go crazy over you. You loved knowing the fact that you had power over me because that's what you do... you love having control over other people"

"Okay, let's say that's true but does it change the way you feel about me?"

Taehyung gulped "You disgust me!"

Jungkook smirked. "I do? Then what are you still doing here...talking to me?"

Taehyung's breath hitched.

"You still have feelings for me Taehyung... don't deny it. You'll never be able to forget our memories no matter how much you try"

Taehyung took a deep breath "I hate you Jungkook...stay away from me" Taehyung whispered but his voice was weak.

Jungkook laughed. "We still have a chance. I know you still want me. Let's leave here together. Let's run away where no one will find us. Let's...."

He reached out to hold his face in his hands and was about to kiss him when Jimin barged in.

"What the hell are you two doing?" He whispered.

The two of them separated looking alarmed.

"Yoongi is looking for you guys and I think he's headed this way. Thank God I found you..."

Yoongi's voice was heard from behind. Without thinking, Jimin pushed Jungkook out of the way and embraced Taehyung who Immediately froze. Jungkook frowned in disapproval but sneaked away before  Yoongi appeared.

Yoongi was surprised seeing Jimin and Taehyung hugging each other at an isolated empty part of the house. He frowned a little at the sight.

"Um... sorry to interrupt. I was looking for Jungkook"

Jimin slowly disengaged from Taehyung.

"I think he should be in the bathroom.  I saw him leaving to go there"

Yoongi wanted to open his mouth to speak but he held himself back and only smiled awkwardly and left.

Taehyung looked at Jimin who was trying hard to avoid looking back at him.

"What was that about?" He questioned.

"I was only trying to help you in case you didn't notice. What if Yoongi had caught you and Jungkook close to each other"

Taehyung smiled softly. "I understand but you didn't need to hug me you know"

He was looking at Jimin and the other was completely flustered. "I didn't think. It just happened"

Taehyung mocked "I'm shocked. Saint Jimin can actually hug a man"

Jimin gulped feeling embarrassed. "Stop that!"

"And now, Yoongi is going to start thinking something's going on between the both of us"

Jimin hissed "Impossible! That can never happen"

Taehyung nodded. "Are you sure? I might just marry you one day Jimin with the way things are going. If it happens, then it's your fault"

There was silence. Jimin stared at him and their eyes locked. A moment passed between them but came to an abrupt end with Jimin shaking his head.

"No never. I can never marry a Savage like you..it's impossible"

He stepped away from him and started walking away "Come out quickly before people start questioning your whereabouts"

He left in quick hurried steps, face blushing leaving Taehyung laughing in amusement. He didn't know how but Jimin seemed to be the only thing that calms him down when he felt troubled. If it wasn't for him, he would have given into the temptation Jungkook represented. Still, just because he had a little fondness for Jimin doesn't mean he would spare his family. After what happened between him and Jungkook just recently, he knew he was still weak emotionally for Jungkook. He needed to get stronger or he would only get wrapped up in Jungkook's lies again.
