Sam walks behind his friends, his head down, starring at the cracked sidewalk that leads the way to their school. The sound of laughter catches his ears and he throws a glance up. He attempts to add into the conversation, but as he expected, they all just ignored him. This had been happening a lot lately and it was really starting to were on the bunny boy. He grits his teeth and suddenly stops, turning on his heel.

His eyes sting with tears as he walks back towards his home, not realizing that Soul, who had been walking on the other side of the road, saw him turn away. She points it out to Sookie and the two head across the street. "Hey, you guys know your friend just ran away crying?" The owl girl says, catching Taurtis' attention. The raven haired male spins around, confused until he spots Sam's retreating form.

And he says

Taurtis runs up to him and tries to put a hand on his best friend's shoulder, but the bunny boy flinches away. He turns back around, his misty eyes boiling with a furious glare. "I wish that I could be like the cool kids. 'Cause all the cool kids they seem to get it. I wish that I could be like the cool kids... Like the cool kids!" Sam snaps, tears finally falling as he runs off, ignoring his friends calling his name.

And they said

Sam slams the front door of his home closed, struggling to stumble up the stairs and sinking to his feet as he closes his bedroom door behind him, dissolving into body-racking sobs as he hugs his knees to his chest. He ignores the calls once more, this time coming from downstairs. Eventually, the voices move from below him to outside his door. "Sam, please!" Grian exclaims. "Open the door!" Chan pleads. "Sam, we're coming in, okay?" Yuki says just before she kicks the door open.

The sight in front of them breaks their hearts. The group sinks down beside him, comforting him in any way they can think of. Sam lifts his head, tears still streaming down his face, amazed that his friends actually still care for him. He thought they would be happy with him gone. Taurtis suddenly lunges forwards and engulfs Sam in a giant bear hug. Grian softly smiles, wiping the tears away. "We're so sorry..." Yuki mumbles, planting a small kiss on his cheek. "You're an amazing person." Chan says, cuddling up next to him. Taurtis pulls away from the hug, keeping his hands planted on Sam's shoulders. "Sam, we love you so much."

Sam smiles, this time with small happy tears lazily falling down his cheeks. They still cared about him and that's all that matters to him. Taurtis stands and offers his hand to Sam. The bunny boy takes it and after he stood up correctly, Taurtis refused to let go of his hand. "Let's stay home today. Mrs. Okami would understand." Taurtis says, the others agreeing. They all head down to the living room and set up a Disney movie marathon, Sam falling asleep halfway through the second movie, snuggled up in the middle of all his friends.
