42. An Arrow To My Heart

Time slipped past the raven head's headspace as he realized on the passed hours when his stomach growled as he stirred awake in his sleep.

"Urgh." Jungkook groaned as he caressed his toned tummy in agony feeling the rumbles. "Food..." With that, the younger stirred awake and put on a pair of tee walking out of his chosen room. As he swung his room door opened and step out of his four walls, Jungkook was greeted by a pin drop silence.

His curiosity guided the pair of his feet to the second floor where he saw Jimin rushing into after the battle against his suitcases. Jungkook was aiming to find his blond friend to perhaps order some take away when he was greeted by an empty room.

As he took his phone out to call the older, Jungkook noticed the multiple messages on his inbox which he missed as he kept his mobile on silent mode.

"Huh?" The raven head scowled when he read that Jimin was out to meet his friends. "Why is he always meeting his friends?" Jungkook was ready to confront his friend when he returns home later.

Currently, Jungkook was left with no choice but to find his way around the mansion with limited knowledge on the allocation of each place such as the kitchen where the ravenette was mostly aiming to locate.

"Woah, Namjoon know how to decorate his space. This is gorgeous." Jungkook talked to himself as he took some time to explore the huge mansion.

Every single corner of the blue head's house was so well sculpted and decorated that it looked fresh out of an interior style magazine. Jungkook somehow managed to end the house tour by himself when he finally reached a small living space with a huge 3 door glass panel, separating him from the outdoor yard.

Decided to complete his little tour till the outdoor, Jungkook stepped forward nd slides the glass panel open, stepping outside to the hardwood floor.

"Wow."

He walked a little further, looking around the backyard, dimly lit under the random lamp post lining the sideways.

"This must be looking gorgeous in the late evenings or even in the morning."

Jungkook couldn't see further from the distance he was standing but his nose picked up on the various scent of flowers, indicating that there must be nearby garden beside the yard which he probably can enjoy in the morning tomorrow when it's brighter.

He was already feeling so much at ease and relaxed completing the little bit of outdoor tour which he got as he was ready to traceback to the kitchen, hunting for food to tame his wild tummy.

As he turned on his feet, the raven head accidentally slipped on his ankle stumbling backwards creating a loud thump as he fell backwards into a pool of water which he was not aware existed in the first place.

It felt like trashing inside an invisible prison as within second, Jungkook was struggling underwater. He submerged deeper with water engulfing him, crashing him down rapidly. His cry for help was pointless as Jungkook slowly starts to lose his consciousness with each passing seconds.

To answer the obvious query, Jungkook can't swim and he never had the interest to learn or even an opportunity to do so. He never enjoys water sport hence he never needed to learn swimming after a couple of bad experiences with pools when he was younger.

Help...Help...

Jungkook's cry for help was ringing inwardly on his mind as his strength failed, his struggle subsided with his eyes closed shut amid the vigorous attempts.

The next thing that the raven head realized, his waist was being held strongly and he started to feel his body being pulled upwards. Soon, he lost consciousness fully and everything was blanket of pitch black.

.

The sun rose and shined through space as it should be, like a natural alarm clock stirring awake the blissfully asleep raven head male after last night's terrifying incident.

Jungkook jolted awake from the bed, catching his breath as he was suddenly hit by the incident of the drowning. He needed a couple of seconds to calm herself down after he noticed that he was safe and no longer under the water.

"Omg." Jungkook pressed his palm on the forehead, thanking all the Gods in heaven for the saviour who managed to pull him out of the pool.

The raven head couldn't recall what happened or how he ended here safe under the cover but he was grateful for still being alive.

He looked around the room, unsure whose room this might be. One thing he was certain is that this room is still somewhere inside Namjoon's house as he noticed the flooring runs parallel and similar throughout the third floor including his room.

Taking the heavy duvet away from his body, he stepped down on the floor gently wobbling after the impact of drowning. Upon securing his feet firmly on the ground, Jungkook took a few steps and opened the white curtain dropping from the height of the ceiling to the floor, allowing the morning to brighten the room.

As he opened the curtains wide, Jungkook was greeted by a small balcony which overlooked the garden. The beauty of the garden's vision blinded his eyes which instantly brightened his mood. The raven head's smile only fell when he noticed the gigantic size pool not too far away from the garden, the place where he almost lost his life.

"I hate you." Jungkook said through gritted teeth, pointing at the pool.

He then took a turn and inspected the room. The person who occupies this room surely had an expensive taste looking at the decorative pieces and the choices of materials laying around the space. Everything screamed silk and rich.

"Oh, you're awake?"

Jungkook's attention was snatched towards the wooden door as he saw a mob of blue head peaking in. "Namjoon?" The younger called out as he saw the taller man sneaking his body through the small opening of the door with his dimpled grin. "You do know you can open the door wider isn't it?" Jungkook chuckled as Namjoon tried to fit his 6.1 feet frame through a small opening.

"Oh yea, totally didn't think about it." Namjoon was fully inside the room as he opened the door wide making Jungkook giggle in delight.

"You're really funny Joon." Jungkook took a seat at the edge of the bed to ensure his dizziness won't fall on his knees and fail his posture.

"You feel better now?" Namjoon asked with a voice laced in concern.

"Oh, was it last night-...? You got me out of the pool?" Jungkook's Bambi eyes grew wider in shock, he stood up too soon rushing the blood to his brain making his body wobble to the side.

"Careful Kook. Why don't you sit down? You have not eaten anything since last night as well." Namjoon held the wobbling boy in his hand and properly guided Jungkook back to the bed, allowing him to settle down comfortably.

"Thanks Joon. Yea, now that you have said it, I kind of feel hungry..." Jungkook rubbed his toned stomach and scrunched his nose. "Thanks for pulling me out of the water by the way. And for this." He pointed at his clothes, aware that the older must have changed it as he fell into the pool.

"W-welcome...um, food?"

"PLEASE."

Namjoon chuckled at the younger's childish tone and gestured him to follow. "Come on, there is a crowd in the kitchen but I'm sure they would love to see you alive and thriving." The blue head guided the younger as Jungkook followed him like a good obedient brother.

"Owh, isn't this my room?" Jungkook pointed at the striking red door as he walked out of the room he spent the night in.

"Yea. I guess you chose to stay here after all."

"Cool, so we are floor mates. Why would you stay up on the third floor when you can save the trouble of climbing the stairs?" Jungkook questioned as Namjoon was averting his gaze from the younger for he grows uncomfortable with Jungkook's questions. "Nevermind, I need to pee and I need food."

"Perfect. The kitchen is to the left once you get down the stairs so see ya. I asked the cook to make some pancakes."

Jungkook nodded at the older and rushed into his room to freshen up and change into his pair of clothes discarding the Gucci nightwear which Namjoon dressed him in. Jungkook was never the one to go for designer labels as he prefers his comfort wear to be loungewear and all blacks.

.

"JUNGKOOKIEEE!"

The blond's voice pierced through the sky when the raven head made his appearance to the crowd in the kitchen who splattered the room with their cheerful chit chats. What intrigued Jungkook the most was having his boss on the table spending his time having good laughter on something Jin was saying as the broad shoulder male allowed windshield laughter to escape his mouth.

"Hey."

"Oh Thank God you're fine."

Jungkook was attacked by the forceful embrace of the shorter male as he stumbled back a few steps with the aggressive hug. "I'm fine Jimin, thank God too."

"You need to be more alert when you're out there Jungkook."

"Jimin...I'm not a child okay?" Jungkook ruffled the blond mob as Jimin pouted in disagreement. "Says the one who almost drowned himself." Jimin stuck his tongue out but manage to drag his raven head friend with him to the table as the rest greeted him with concerns.

The raven head never intended to take note but his Bambi eyes and pleading heart skipped a beat to scan the table and missed the silver head man who he wishes he could have caught a glimpse. For just how long will the young tycoon remain out of action? Jungkook doesn't know.

"So, I'm glad you're settling in well, apart from the incident of trying to drown yourself." Hoseok joked at the ravenette as he sipped on his iced coffee.

"Hobi..." Jungkook glared playfully at his boss's mocking about the drowning and took a fork full of the pancake to stuff his mouth. "Gowd."

"Speak when you're not chewing Jungkook." Hoseok shakes his head and joined in the conversation on the table as the rest of the breakfast deal went great under the watch by a pair of hazel eyes who stopped in his track when he notices the familiar raven head on the table who broke his love into pieces.

Taehyung stood at the corner of the room, slowly taking his feet backwards not wanting to interrupt the happy occasion of the group of friends who are having a good time together.

Among the crowd, Taehyung knows that he was the outlier and he is not welcomed by at least 2 of the people in the team. Reluctantly, Taehyung ran back to the third floor, locked himself in his room, face buried on the pillow thinking about the horrible incident which he had to encounter last night when he returned to NYC, to spend his time with his cousin brother.

After a cold shower, Taehyung attempted to call it a night but he knows it was all for a joke when he found himself seated in the dark, near the pool at the backyard. The silver head allowed his thought to wander admiring the chilly night, reminiscing some good old memories which stuck to his mind and never left despite his WKS condition.

It must have been a while as Taehyung was dozing off on the seat when he heard a loud thump as if something dropped into the pool of water.

Panic took over him when he opened his eyes and noticed it was a male who was struggling underwater, trying to emerge himself as he sinks deeper. Realizing who the male was uncalled for, Taehyung went on a full panic mode and realization hit him when he senses that Jungkook was drowning.

The silver head immediately jumped into the pool, grabbed him by the waist, pulled him to the surface, scared and worried for the male who passed out in his arms as he took her inside, to his room.

With that, Taehyung could never afford to keep Jungkook soaked in the chlorine-filled water as he struggled to change the raven head male and keep him warm in his clothes before selfishly planting a kiss on the unconscious male's forehead. "Please, don't leave me bun."

Nothing of these were noticed by Jungkook and that's the sad reality. Not the tears in Taehyung's eyes, not the guilt in his heart, not the agony in his body. Nothing. Jungkook didn't realize the trembling body of the silver head as Taehyung forced himself out of the room, leaving his love behind.

After all, Jungkook asked him to leave and Taehyung finally came to a term to respect that.

The question is, does Jungkook mean it?

I feel sad for Tae.
Past is past, we should move on. Should we?

On a side note, florist Taehyung or chef Taehyung? Study smart Jungkook or athletic Jungkook?
I'm cooking the plot for my next book.
I wish someone can design book covers for me. :(
