Jungkook waits outside the school for Taehyung the next afternoon.

He should be here for his summer school courses and hopefully he decided to show up today.

Luckily he did and he walks out of the school just as the classes are dismissed. He looks down as he walks down the steps of the entrance but when he looks up he locks eyes with Jungkook.

Jungkook can see the momentary panic that shoots through him as he slows almost to a complete stop before continuing over to him.

Taehyung looks down  timidly once he's standing in front of Jungkook and he doesn't say anything at first.

"What are you doing here?" He says when he does finally speak, still looking down at his notebook.

"I came to get you." Jungkook says.

"Why?" Taehyung asks glancing up nervously.

"Because I've missed you." Jungkook says smiling when he sees Taehyung's cheeks flush.

    "Jungkook~"

"I talked to my parents." Jungkook says.

Taehyung looks up at him but looks away after.

"And I don't care what they say." Jungkook says.

"Jungkook.." Taehyung says but he trails off at a lost for words. What's there to say?

"Taehyung." Jungkook says putting his hand under Taehyung's chin making him look up. "Don't let them tear us apart."

"I want you to have a good life Jungkook." Taehyung says.

"I'll have a good life. I'll have an even better life if I can spend it with the person I love." Jungkook says smiling softly.

   "But graduation~"

"I'll wait for you. I'll always wait for you Tae." Jungkook promises capturing the tear that slips down Taehyung's cheek.

    "Jungkook." Taehyung says.

    "Hm?" Jungkook asks.

"I'm not good with words. And I'm not good at expressing my feelings to other people." Taehyung starts. "But when I'm with you. I get this overwhelming feeling in my gut that I can't describe as anything I know. And when I left. I felt like someone had. Ripped me in half. I'd never known what it was like to love someone. And I never knew what it felt for someone to love me like you do. I never believed in love until I met you. And you made me believe. Even though it hurts like hell I still believe."

Jungkook smiles fondly at Taehyung as he speaks never once looking up from the ground.

"I-I love you Jungkook. And it scares me so much because I know that you have this part of my heart now and if it breaks I know I'll never be able to fix it." Taehyung says.

"I won't break it." Jungkook speaks tenderly.

Taehyung looks up from his shoes and a looks into the eyes of his first love.

"I love you too much to ever break your heart." Jungkook says.

"I love you too Jungkook." Taehyung says.

Jungkook smiles wiping Taehyung's tears gently with the pad of his thumb. "Promise you won't leave me again."

"I won't leave you. I'll be here to annoy you until you tell me to go away." Taehyung says wrapping his arms around Jungkook's torso and hugging him.

Jungkook hugs him back breathing in his scent and sighing.

He was so glad to have his boy back in his arms, and he wasn't going to let him slip through his fingers ever again.

"Do you want me to take you home?" Jungkook asks as they let each other go.

"There's actually something I have to take care of first."

Hoseok came down the stairs after his father calls for him to come down.

Hoseok slows when he sees the unfamiliar brown hair of his best friend.

Mr. Jung leaves the two of them returning back to the living room.

Hoseok leans against the door frame raising an eyebrow. He would usually invite him in but he's supposed to be upset. Even though he's happy to see his friend after their argument.

Taehyung holds a stuffed teddy bear in his hands with a note attached to it's bow tie.

He hands the bear over to Hoseok silently before holding his hands behind his back and looking down.

Hoseok's hard expression cracks when he sees the note attached to the bear.

Please bear with me. I don't mean to stress you out. Please know how beary sorry I am.

    "Taehyung~"

Taehyung holds out a bag of chocolate Hershey kisses that also have a note attached.

Let's kiss and make up.

"You're such an idiot." Hoseok laughs taking the candy.

"I didn't know how to apologize, so I googled it." Taehyung says.

Hoseok laughs. "You could have said 'sorry' like a normal person."

Taehyung smiles. "Fine then. I'm sorry. Do you forgive me?"

"Don't I always forgive you?" Hoseok asks.

"Yeah but. I want it to be a genuine 'its okay' not an 'its okay because it's always okay'." Taehyung says.

"It's always okay. Because I love you." Hoseok says.

"I love you too Hobi." Taehyung says with a smile.

"Come in." Hoseok says walking inside the house. "How'd you get here anyway?"

"Jungkook dropped me off." Taehyung says following Hoseok to his room.

Hoseok stops facing Taehyung. "Jeon Jungkook?"

"Yep. The only Jungkook I know." Taehyung says walking passed Hoseok and continuing to the room.

"So? What? What's up with you guys?" Hoseok asks following closely.

"I don't know." Taehyung says sitting on the bed.

"You don't know? Are you together again?" Hoseok asks plopping down as well.

"Sometimes Hobi. I think you're more invested in our relationship than we are." Taehyung says taking the bear from Hoseok's grasp.

"I told you. When I call things they come true. They always come true." Hoseok says giggling and falling back on his bed.

"Shut up." Taehyung laughs hitting Hoseok's shoulder.

"You can't say it's not true." Hoseok says. "I'm a match maker."

    "Oh whatever." Taehyung says.

"Hey Tae." Hoseok says sitting up his tone suddenly changing.

    "What?" Taehyung asks.

"I just wanted to tell you that I know I don't say it a lot but I truly am grateful for you and you mean a lot to me. And being an only child. You're like the brother I never had." Hoseok says. "And I love you for being a brother to me. And I want you to take care of yourself so you can keep making me happy by being happy."

Taehyung smiles. "Don't get all soft on my now Hobi."

"That's why I don't say it a lot." Hoseok says punching Taehyung's shoulder.

Taehyung holds his arms out and Hoseok moves into the embrace.

"I love you too Hobi. And you've been the light of my life since I met you." Taehyung says.

Hoseok smiles at Taehyung's words.

The two best friends spend the rest of the day together catching up like they've been apart for weeks when it's barely been two days.

The night reminded Taehyung of when they were just two inseparable freshmen stepping foot into the wonders of the cold, cruel world.
