Hoseok walks into his room holding a cup of tea in his hands for Taehyung.

Taehyung sits against Hoseok's headboard hugging his knees close to his chest.

"So let me get this straight, alright?" Hoseok says sitting the hot beverage on his nightstand.

Taehyung nods sitting crisscross applesauce and reaching for his tea.

"Jungkook's mom told you to break up with him?" Hoseok asks with a questioning look as he sits on his bed.

Taehyung nods looking down at his drink and letting it's warmth run through his fingers.

"That just doesn't make any sense." Hoseok says. "Jungkook told me it was because he kissed you."

"That's what I said. But. It wasn't that truth. I wanted him to kiss me." Taehyung says sadly.

"Why would his mom not want you to be together?" Hoseok asks.

"Because, Jungkook can't be like me." Taehyung says. "If Jungkook doesn't get married and have kids their business is over."

Hoseok's face scrunches in confusion. "What does that have to with you?"

"Jungkook has to be straight Hobi." Taehyung says.

"I'm not that smart. But as a fellow gay, I don't think it's possible to just be straight whenever you feel like." Hoseok says.

"I thought you were bisexual." Taehyung says.

"Pansexual." Hoseok corrects.

"You're confused." Taehyung says blowing his tea.

"We're talking about you right now." Hoseok says dismissing the subject. "Jungkook's mom's some type of homophobe?"

"She just wants the best for Jungkook and I do to. That's the only reason I'm doing as she says." Taehyung says.

"How is staying away from Jungkook what's best? If you make each other happy." Hoseok asks.

"Because. She wants Jungkook's children to inherit the business." Taehyung says. "Which makes sense I mean..."

"I don't understand why you're even thinking that far into the future. It's not like you're going to marry him." Hoseok says.

Taehyung shrugs. "I know."

"And Jungkook's going to Busan in the fall." Hoseok says. "Why couldn't you just give him the summer, and break things off after he left?"

Taehyung sighs shaking his head. "I didn't think about it Hobi. I just did it."

"Well..." Hoseok starts but trails off.

"Well what?" Taehyung asks looking to his friend.

"I don't know what to say." Hoseok admits laying back and looking up at the ceiling.

"I was thinking, Hobi." Taehyung starts.

"That's new." Hoseok says.

"Listen idiot." Taehyung says nudging Hoseok with his foot.

"I'm listening." Hoseok says swatting his foot away.

"What if, if things were to work out. I would go to Busan. After I graduated." Taehyung says.

"Busan?" Hoseok asks looking to see if Taehyung was serious.

"Yeah." Taehyung says. "Do you think we could do it? If I could?"

Hoseok's eyebrows draw together as he thinks. "Well. I mean yeah. But. What about Seoul? And your mom?"

Taehyung sighs. "I don't think she's there Hobi. Plus. I'm seventeen now if she wanted to find me she would have."

Hoseok frowns. "Why the sudden change of heart?"

"Because." Taehyung says sitting his tea down on the nightstand. "Going to Seoul was what I've been wanting to do since I don't know when. It was the only thing that gave me hope. But I've found new hope now."

Hoseok sits up in his spot looking at Taehyung. "So?"

"So what?" Taehyung asks. "I didn't say 'so'. I'm telling the truth."

"No." Hoseok says. "What are you going to do?"

"There's nothing I can do." Taehyung says. "It was just a thought."

"Sure there's something you could do." Hoseok says. "Like. Telling Jungkook the truth."

"No." Taehyung says shaking his head. "I don't want to ruin everything."

"Tae." Hoseok sighs. "Jungkook's gay. And as far as I know. He'll always be gay. So you staying away isn't going to make him straight."

"But what if~"

"You didn't think before. Stop thinking now." Hoseok cuts in. "Listen to me. I'm your best friend. You're like a brother to me. I wouldn't tell you to do something if it wasn't what was best for you. Alright?"

Taehyung nods slowly. "Yeah I know."

"So trust me on this." Hoseok says. "Get him back."

"I just don't want to ruin him like I ruin everything else." Taehyung says looking down at his hands.

Hoseok sighs looking sympathetic for his friend. "You're not going to ruin him, Tae. You make him happy. He~He loves you."

Taehyung sighs. Why was everyone telling him the same thing? Did they not understand why he did what he did? Did they not understand that he was doing this for Jungkook and not to hurt him.

"Tell him the truth. And let him decide what his future holds." Hoseok says.

Taehyung nods. "Maybe you're right."

"Maybe? I am right." Hoseok says. "Do you know how many times a day Jungkook calls me just to tell me he loves you?"

"He does not." Taehyung says smiling at the thought.

"He does. I swear." Hoseok says smiling as well. "You need to hurry up and talk to him before I go crazy."

Taehyung rolls his eyes still smiling.

Maybe his friends were right, maybe they were better together.

Everyday that slips through Jungkook's fingers is another day closer to the day he's been dreading since he was 15.

"I hope you've been listening, Jungkook. This is very valuable information." Mr. Jeon says gathering his papers.

Jungkook nods looking out the window of his father's office.

"What's going on with you Jungkook?" His father asks switching into his rare father mode.

"I'm fine." Jungkook says. "I'm just tired."

"You've been 'just tired' for the past two weeks." Mr. Jeon says. "Talk to me son."

"I can't talk to you." Jungkook says spinning in his chair and standing up.

"Why not? We used to talk all the time." His father says.

Jungkook shrugs as he looks out the window adjusting his tie. "You wouldn't understand."

"Try me." Mr. Jeon says.

"I'm just not happy dad. And you can't do anything to change that." Jungkook says dryly. "Just leave it alone."

Jungkook hears his father sighs and stand from his seat.

"I have a meeting at two. I'll see you later today maybe." He says and not long after Jungkook hears the door open and shut.

Jungkook rolls his eyes and turns to leave as well.

He's been spending a lot of time with his father letting him mentor him and coach him on how to properly be successful.

The business world is full of cold-blooded, bloodsucking, money hungry people with years of experience with legally scamming people.

Jungkook walks out of the office as his mother walks by.

"Oh are you leaving sweetheart?" She asks stopping.

"Yeah." Jungkook says.

"I'll be home by tonight." She says.

"I won't be there." Jungkook says.

"Where will you be?" Mrs. Jeon asks.

"A friend's house." Jungkook says.

"What friend?" Mrs. Jeon asks frowning at Jungkook's short answers.

"You don't know him." Jungkook says before walking away.

Jungkook sighs as he gets in his car.

His parents finally got tired of making Jungkook save up for his own car and bought it for him.

It's not extravagant or anything it's just a simple car that Jungkook is content with.

It's almost 7pm and Jungkook has plans to meet Jimin tonight.

When the blonde first called him Jungkook was shocked and didn't know what the older boy could possibly want with him, but he agreed nevertheless when Taehyung was mentioned.

Jimin lives in a frat house on a huge college campus. Jungkook didn't know there were colleges this nice in Daegu.

Jungkook looks down at his phone as it leads him to the address Jimin had given him.

Jimin did seem like the type of person to be a part of a fraternity but whatever.

"Jungkook!"

Jungkook looks up to see Jimin walking towards him with a smile on his face.

"I thought I'd meet you. It's kinda hard to find the house if you aren't familiar with the place." Jimin chuckles.

"Why'd you call me?" Jungkook asks as the two of them start walking in the same direction Jimin came.

"I wanted to talk to you about Taehyung." Jimin says.

"I know. But why? What do you want with him?" Jungkook asks.

"You don't have to be so defensive." Jimin laughs. "I actually want to talk about you and him."

"Why?" Jungkook asks as they approach the huge and expensive looking frat house.

"I think the boys are out." Jimin says pulling his keys out.

"It doesn't bother Yoongi that you live in house full of guys?" Jungkook wonders.

Jimin laughs. "Probably. But he never says anything."

Jungkook hums in acknowledgement but doesn't say anything as they enter the front door.

Jimin leads Jungkook to the living room and they both sit on the couch facing each other.

"What do you want to know?" Jungkook asks.

"I actually want to let you know something." Jimin says.

Jungkook raises an eyebrow. "Alright."

"Taehyung hasn't been in my life long. And quite frankly I don't know much about him." Jimin says. "But I do know one thing. When I first met Taehyung he wasn't anything like he is now."

"I met him at a party. I knew he shouldn't have been there." Jimin continues. "He looked so sad. And he had bruises down his arms. I didn't say anything about them. He was so broken that even all the alcohol he drunk that night could mask his pain."

"Why are you telling me this?" Jungkook asks, the thought of Taehyung in pain making his pain feel irrelevant.

"Because. When I look at Taehyung now he isn't that scared and broken teenager he was when I first saw him. He's changed. And you changed him." Jimin says. "The Taehyung I knew wasn't capable of loving someone. And you made him love you."

Jungkook feels his throat tighten. Did Taehyung truly love him?

"I don't want him to become that boy again. That's why I called you." Jimin says.

"What are you talking about?" Jungkook asks looking up.

"He's not good Jungkook." Jimin says.

"What are you talking about?" Jungkook asks again his voice a lot more urgent now.

"I was going to tell you sooner but~" Jimin says.

"But what?" Jungkook asks his voice raising. "What Jimin?"

"Taehyung isn't doing well. He's been drinking. And he's. He's just not well." Jimin tries to explain.

"His dad?" Jungkook asks feeling his heart ache for the boy.

"I don't know." Jimin says. "But I called you because you're the only person I could think of to help him. Hoseok's tried his best and so has Namjoon but it's not getting through to him."

Jungkook stands up. "I have to go."

Jimin stands as well. "I'm sorry I didn't call you sooner."

"No. Thanks for calling." Jungkook says.

"And. I know it probably doesn't seem like it but. Taehyung's my friend. And I really do care about him. So please do your best to get through to him." Jimin says.

Jungkook nods. "Yeah. I'll do my best."

Jimin shows Jungkook out and the younger finds his way back to his car in his own while dialing Hoseok's number.

Whatever was going on with Taehyung he needed to know from a trusted source.

Not that he didn't trust Jimin he just.. didn't trust Jimin so he called Hoseok.

No matter how upset Taehyung was at him Jungkook needed to see him.
