Taehyung and Jungkook walk into the school auditorium together an scan the crowd for Hoseok who waves them over excitedly.

Namjoon and Jin are finally graduating.

Hoseok's claimed to have already cried for a week straight to be prepared not to cry when they walk across the stage but knowing Hoseok he'll still ball.

The ceremony is sweet Namjoon's mother and Jin's parents sit in the row in front of them and they clap proudly when both their names are called.

Namjoon has a breath taking grin on his face as he takes his diploma and waves it at his mom.

Jin just wears an expression that defines relief perfectly as he takes the piece of paper that makes him an adult finally.

It's bitter sweet watching their close friends graduate.

The two have always been the rocks of the group and with Jin going to college and Namjoon starting work full time it's going to be weird.

Hoseok does end up crying which makes Taehyung cry as well.

Even Jungkook gets a little misty eyed when he sees the graduates.

Namjoon hugs his mother as if it's the last time before doing the same to each of his friends.

Jin is a tearful mess as he hugs his family and friends.

"I'm so happy I never have to come back here." Jin says wiping his tears.

    "Congrats Hyung." Taehyung says.

"Thank you Tae." Jin says hugging him again.

Not long after the two are getting dragged away by their parents.

"We're still meeting at PT's to celebrate." Jin calls to the three. "Thanks for coming guys. Love you."

They wave at them once more before turning to each other.

"So much for not crying Hobi." Taehyung says.

"Yah. How could I not?" Hoseok says rubbing his eyes.

"Come on. We can hang out at mine until later." Jungkook says leading the three out and to the car.

"This is gonna be our ceremony next year guys." Taehyung says as the get in the car.

Hoseok and Jungkook lock eyes momentarily.

"Yeah." Jungkook says unlocking the door.

"Front seat." Taehyung calls going to the passenger side and getting in.

Jungkook's parents are still at work when they get there so they stay downstairs in the living room watching TV.

Taehyung sits next to Jungkook on the loveseat while Hoseok sprawls himself out on the couch.

Jungkook puts his arm around Taehyung out of habit and Taehyung naturally leans into him.

Hoseok smiles at how cute they are but keeps the thought to himself.

Taehyung sleeps through most of both the movies they watch and only stirs when his phone rings.

"It's Jakyung. I'll be right back." He says going to answer the call in the kitchen.

Hoseok looks at Jungkook. "So?"

"So what?" Jungkook asks suddenly becoming interested in the TV.

"When are you going to tell him?" Hoseok asks sitting up.

Jungkook shrugs. "When the time comes."

"And when will the time come?" Hoseok asks.

"I don't know Hobi." Jungkook says. "What's the rush?"

"I just don't want you to keep pushing it back and end up hurting yourself or Taehyung." Hoseok says.

    "I won't. I'll tell him." Jungkook says.

"You need to tell him sooner. Not later." Hoseok says.

"Tell who what?" Taehyung asks appearing from the kitchen and sitting next to Jungkook.

"Nothing." Jungkook says looking at Hoseok.

"Jungkook was just saying he needed to tell his father about him going to summer school." Hoseok says putting emphasis on summer school with an evil smile.

"Yeah." Jungkook says doing his best not to glare at Hoseok.

"You're going to summer school?" Taehyung asks.

    "Yeah." Jungkook nods.

"Why? You have like. Perfect grades." Taehyung says.

"Yeah. It's just. Some credit issues or something." Jungkook says. "It's no big deal."

"I'm sure your dad will understand if you tell him." Taehyung says encouragingly.

"Yeah. I hope so." Jungkook says looking down at his hands.

Hoseok checks his phone. "It's almost seven. Should we go?"

    "Yeah." Jungkook says standing.

Taehyung stands as well and the three of them head out.

Jungkook's mind is preoccupied with how he should break the news to Taehyung.

Maybe Taehyung wouldn't be that upset. Maybe he'll just decide to cut things off before they got too attached to each other.

Jungkook frowns at the thought of ending whatever he and Taehyung had going.

Maybe they could try the long distance thing when he leaves.

He could visit on weekends and holidays.

But that seemed unrealistic.

Taehyung wouldn't want to be in a relationship that was just calls on the phone and face timing.

Jungkook decides to tell him tomorrow, no matter how much he didn't want to, he had to.

Even if it ruined everything.

-

"You're making me worry." Taehyung says as he sits across from Jungkook at a small diner in town.

"Don't worry." Jungkook says leaning forward and resting his elbows on the table. "I just have to tell you something."

"Yeah. I know. You've said that about a hundred times." Taehyung says with a small smile.

    "I know." Jungkook says.

It had been a week since Hoseok told Jungkook it was time to tell Taehyung about Busan. It seemed impossible to bring the subject up during a conversation with Taehyung. Like it was never the right time.

"Go ahead then. I'm listening." Taehyung says mirror Jungkook's position.

Jungkook sighs. "...Are you hungry?"

Taehyung raises an eyebrow. "No. I'm fine."

"Are you sure? I'll treat. You can get whatever you want." Jungkook says picking up the flimsy paper menu and looking down at it.

Taehyung snatches the menu from between Jungkook's fingers and places it back down on the table.

    "I'm listening." Taehyung says.

"Um..." Jungkook trails off and just at the perfect time Taehyung's phone rings. "You take that. I'm going to the bathroom."

Jungkook stands quickly about to make a run for it.

"Jungkook." Taehyung says sternly making the dark haired boy turn to face him. "Sit your ass down."

Jungkook raises an eyebrow at Taehyung.

"Please." He adds sweetly, even sporting a small smile.

Jungkook sighs and falls back in his seat.

"Avoiding whatever it is will only make it worse." Taehyung says reassuringly.

"I don't think anything can make it worse." Jungkook mutters.

"Go on." Taehyung says resting his chin on his hands like Jungkook's about to tell a story.

"Well..." Jungkook trails off looking down at his hands. "My parents gave me some...news."

Taehyung nods and hums for him to continue.

"And. Remember how I told you I was going to Busan when I graduate?" Jungkook asks.

"Yeah. You already have a scholarship." Taehyung nods.

"Yeah. Well my parents made a few arrangements somehow and. They want be in Busan as early as next fall." Jungkook says.

    "Okay?" Taehyung says.

Jungkook sighs as Taehyung's not catching on to what he's saying.

"By that I mean. I'm starting college. Next fall. Next year. Our senior year. Your senior year because. I'll be a freshman in college." Jungkook stumbles through his explanation.

    "Ah." Taehyung nods in understanding.

"And. I've been trying to find a way to tell you for a week now but it never felt right. It doesn't feel right now." Jungkook frowns. "I like you a lot Taehyung and I knew that we'd probably go our separate ways after graduation and now we won't even have our senior year together. And I hate the world for that right now."

Taehyung chuckles a little bit before holding both his hands out to Jungkook to take over the table.

Jungkook sighs taking both of his soft hands in his.

"I like you a lot too Jungkook. And I'm really happy for you." Taehyung says with a smile that Jungkook loved to see. "Senior year would have been nice. But a freshman in college vs a senior in high? There's no competition Jungkook."

"You're right. A senior wins." Jungkook says looking up from their hands.

"No." Taehyung says. "You're getting a headstart. You'll graduate a year before the people your age."

"I don't want that Tae. I want you." Jungkook says squeezing Taehyung's hands slightly.

Taehyung looks down as his face flushes mildly.

"It's not fair." Jungkook says. "All I ask is for one more year."

"I think starting in the fall is good for you." Taehyung says.

"You sound like my mother." Jungkook groans in frustration.

"I just. I don't know." Taehyung says looking down again. "I'm just trying to convince myself this is a good thing."

Jungkook frowns. "It's not a good thing."

"I am going to miss not seeing you everyday." Taehyung says looking up at Jungkook. "But we can always talk everyday."

"So. You should be my boyfriend so we can say we're in a long distance relationship?" Jungkook asks.

"Yeah." Taehyung says too soon. "No. No. Not what I meant."

"But you're smiling. That means you're lying." Jungkook says smiling as well but trying to fight it.

"No. I didn't mean it like that Jungkook." Taehyung says.

"You don't want to be my boyfriend?" Jungkook asks.

"Of course I want to be your boyfriend it's just~"

    "Done. I'm yours." Jungkook says.

"You're mine?" Taehyung asks trying his best to look unimpressed. "I guess I should tattoo my name across your forehead."

Jungkook laughs. "All jokes aside though."

Taehyung nods still smiling a little.

"Will you be my boyfriend?" Jungkook asks.

"Everyone already thinks we're a couple anyway so. Why not?" Taehyung says.

"Not the yes I was expecting but a yes at the least." Jungkook says. "I guess you have to get my name tattooed across your forehead too, love."

"Here's your first and only warning. I'm not good at relationship stuff because I'm an awkward soul and I can't help it." Taehyung says.

"Don't worry. I love your awkward soul." Jungkook says.

Taehyung laughs at Jungkook's words.

"Now come on. I want to show off my new boyfriend." Jungkook says standing and pulling Taehyung along with him.

"To who?" Taehyung asks letting Jungkook put his arm around his shoulders.

"The Pope." Jungkook deadpans. "Who do you think?"

"I don't appreciate the attitude." Taehyung says teasingly.

"We're going to Hobi. He's been on my case about telling you about Busan. Now I can tell him you know." Jungkook says.

"So that whole summer school thing was a lie huh?" Taehyung asks.

"Not the whole thing. I do have to basically take my whole senior year in two and a half months." Jungkook says. "But you'll be there so I guess that's a plus. A bigger plus now that you're my boyfriend."

Taehyung smiles as Jungkook says this. Even though it's just a meaningless word it means so much to him.

Having a boyfriend was different than having guy friends, which he has had plenty of in the past.

It had a whole new sense of security. A security that Taehyung hasn't felt since he was with Junhui. And he messed that up. But he wasn't going to mess Jungkook up.

Jungkook likes him. And he always goes out of his way to prove he does even though he doesn't have to.

Jungkook wasn't ashamed of Taehyung.

Even though everyone knew who he was and how he was Jungkook didn't look pass his past like it wasn't there he just accepted it as apart of him that can't be taken away or erased. And he wasn't ashamed of it.

He wasn't ashamed to call Taehyung his.

And that's why Taehyung lo-.

That's why Taehyung liked Jungkook so much.
