"You mind turning on the lights?" Seungmin questioned skeptically, almost stumbling on his way into the dark room, looking around desperately in hope that his eyes would quickly adjust to the dim lighting that the moon provided through the blinds. "It's quite, uncomfortable."
Grunting out of reluctance before turning on the light switch, Chan almost hissed as his tired pupils itched before regulating themselves in the new, unwanted light from the wall lamps. "Just, have a seat here," he pulled out a chair at the dining table for the younger, soon claiming a seat to the opposite side, resting an elbow against the top rail while the other laid comfortable on the wooden surface of the table. "Now, I know you think I'm a good for nothing sex addict, but I promise you that the only thing true about that statement is the good for nothing part," he chuckled lightly, quickly frowning when only a light, clearly sarcastic giggle left the other's lips. "I had a reason for doing what I did, even though it's inexcusable."
Seungmin was carefully observing the childishly anxious actions of the brunette; how the boy was sitting sideways while brushing the soles of his bare feet on the carpet like a toddler, and how he could hardly keep his focus to one section of the room. The male's eyes trailed to the frizzy strands messily scattered over the older's head, and how the blackness of his hoodie highlighted the red stains of irritated skin on his cheeks so adorably yet pitifully. "What could your reason possibly be, that you thought it best to go along with that even when Felix was in your life?"
"Okay... here's the thing... but remember, don't call me a liar, okay? I'm telling you the truth, and I'm only telling you this because you're Lix-Lixie's friend, and I want him back," Chan sniffled, finally rotating to sit properly at the table, resting both his arms against the surface. "I wanted my Lixie to stay proud of me..."

"Do you have ice cream?" Hyunjin hummed as he scanned the freezer, two empty bowls situated on the counter near the sink. "Oh there it is-"
"Hyune what are you doing?" Felix arched a brow, reflexively rubbing an itchy eye as be waddled to meet the older in the kitchen. "I'm not hungry... if you want you can have some... but I'm not hungry," he pouted at the sight of a quiet Hyunjin hungrily filling two bowls with vanilla ice cream, hardly even sparing the younger a glance despite his complaint.
Placing back the half-empty tub into the freezer, Hyunjin took a hold of both bowls, walking up to Felix and demanding that the boy open his hands receptively with just a soft yet intimidating glare. "You need to eat, Lix. I know that ice cream always cheers you up, so let's go enjoy it and watch a movie."
"Jinnie-"
The older cut Felix off with a light kiss to his cheek like both he and his boyfriend would usually do... in the presence of each other... or for one second at most- but Hyunjin kept that touch for a while longer before sighing and reluctantly pulling away, locking eyes with Felix and swallowing thickly- nervously. "He isn't worth it, Lix. You deserve better..."
"But I thought you were rooting for us..."
"Lixie, sometimes people say things to bribe their mind into believing something else," Hyunjin looked down, scratching the back of his neck with his free hand before walking over to the sofa, Felix following swiftly behind with a mind to puzzled to read in between the lines of the older's statement. "What movie do you want to watch? It's been a while since we've been together like this- just us."
-
Observing how the younger was taking irritatingly small spoons of his ice cream at a relatively slow pace, Hyunjin face palmed, leaning over to sigh at the sight of the almost completely melted cream in Felix's bowl. "Lixie, you're making all of it melt. Since when don't you like ice cream?"
"I told you I wasn't hungry, Jinnie," Felix sniffled, stretching and resting the still full bowl on the coffee table. "I don't have an appetite... I think I'll even go to bed... I have work tomorrow..."
"Can't you like, I don't know, ask for the day off? I'm sure Minho will understand," Hyunjin pouted, his friend's further distressed state cutting off his own appetite for the dessert. "Lix, I hate to see you like this," he sighed, pouting and fiddling with his fingers. "Do you want cuddles so you can sleep?"
Shrugging and nodding, Felix looked down before standing and heading for his bedroom, the older following hesitantly behind. The two made themselves comfortable under the blanket, minds only breeding innocent intentions- well a mind breeding nothing but the craving for an innocent, enjoyable cuddle with his best friend, while the other... it was fighting to remain stable- balanced with the memory that he had a boyfriend.
Hyunjin laid sideways and wrapped an arm around the sniffling boy, pulling his body closer and closer so that their chests would touch, unthinkingly ensuring that their faces were only inches apart, his wide eyes digging intently into Felix's closed, puffy ones. The older's breaths grew weightier in that moment, the thick puffs of air slightly phasing the younger, but Felix was too emerged in that session of sulking to react.
The innocent, broken look that showed faintly on the freckled boy's face through the small rays of light that sipped in through the door was tempting- and the forcibly appropriate decision to have such an intimate moment with the younger was what made the temptation almost completely irresistible. It was somewhat something that Hyunjin always craved yet sought to avoid, something that was rooted in those corrupt emotions that kept taunting and beguiling him on a daily basis, urging him to just hold Felix in his arms like that when his boyfriend wasn't around... just kiss Felix's cheek for a few seconds longer... or make their eye contact a little deeper.
That- that right there was what the sensible part of Hyunjin wanted to divert from- that was why Hyunjin was so banked on keeping his distance- so banked on proving and growing his "love" for the one that loved him... that was why the boy's heart slightly stung when Felix said that he had kissed the "addict".
"Don't worry," he hummed, planting another light kiss onto the younger's forehead. Starting soft, comforting strokes along the other's back, he smiled when Felix looked up to lock eyes with him, the part in his head that had always desired that moment with just them two resurfacing itself above the scattered piles of overused "I love you's", kisses, and supposedly love-filled sex with his boyfriend.
Those feelings were starved- they were desperate after waiting and longing for a time as such for over three years, all of their anguished pleas to have the younger so close to their heart without either of their boyfriends getting in the way claiming front row seats at all sections of the blonde's subconsciousness.
It was dangerously selfish, and Hyunjin knew that his boyfriend didn't deserve that- he claimed to love the boy, he claimed that his partner was his everything, that he'd never have eyes on anybody else since the day that they met... even though that confession morphed into a lie on that faithful day when he was introduced to Felix.
Those freckles, that voice, that tiny, adorable frame... it was beautiful- perfect. But Felix had a crush, and he had a boyfriend. He loved his boyfriend, but with the trio's friendship only growing stronger and stronger over those years, it was difficult- almost impossible, to hold back. And seeing how close Felix was getting with another guy... his conscience wanted them to get together so that his mind and heart would cease their war, but then again, that same conscience, though guilty, still wanted the younger to stay single... just incase.
So as those stifled, thoughtless emotions took over in the gloominess of Felix's room- as the friends' eye contact deepened awkwardly and slightly uncomfortable for one party, Hyunjin couldn't help but lean in, unthinkingly pressing his lips against the younger's, inconsiderately leaving them there until Felix recollected his thoughts and pulled away, disgust and disbelief evident in his eyes.
"Hyunjin what the fuck?" He almost yelled, sliding out of the older's arms with ease, shaking his head at how the boy only sighed and buried his face into his palms. Getting off of the bed, Felix narrowed his eyes, mind trying to comprehend the sudden action of one of the people who was supposed to be his best friend- his best friend that was in a relationship. "Why the fuck would you do that- did you and Minnie break up? No. I know you didn't. And even if you did, I still would never. Why the fuck did you do that Hyunjin! Get the fuck out of my room."
"Felix, I'm sorry. I don't know what took over me," Hyunjin pouted, heart hurting and crying at how that selfish section of his mind had disappeared so quickly, leaving it to bare all the guilt and shame alone. Standing to walk a bit closer to the younger, the blonde looked down, rubbing a palm over his other arm childishly- shamefully. "Please, please don't tell Seungmin. I promise, I won't do it again... let's forget this ever happened."
"Leave my room, Hyunjin. I would kick you out but I know you don't have your car," Felix shook his head, shifting to be completely out of the older's reach, head overfilled with heartbreak mixed with the older's sudden, unwelcome gesture. "When your boyfriend comes back, just tell him that I'm asleep."
"O-okay," Hyunjin sighed, heading for the door but stopping at the frame to speak again. "But I'm sorry- like really sorry... I promise, I- I didn't mean it. I don't know why I did that..."
Swearing and plopping down onto the couch, Hyunjin buried his face into his palms again, shaking his head repetitively. "Now I definitely gave to find a way to avoid him... I'll talk to Seungmin... we'll talk to him tomorrow... and then things will be less awkward... I'll continue loving the right person."

"Chan I understand that you want me to talk to him, and I completely see your stand point," Seungmin sighed, chewing on his lower lip. "But you need to get your act together. Felix loves you. Like love love, so every little thing you do affects him. Much less when you do insensitive, selfish things like that. Even if you think of him when making decisions as you said, you need to analyze the consequences of those choices. Like how would he feel after finding out?"
"You're right," Chan sniffled, looking down and resting what had to be the tenth soiled up piece of tissue on the table. "I just- I don't know the first thing about a relationship, you know? And withdrawing from sex so drastically is- it's hard... I mean I want to give it a shot with him, but I'm scared that I'll hurt him again..."
"Well, I happen to have more than three year's worth of relationship experience," Seungmin smiled as all the sweet memories of merry times with his boyfriend perfumed his mind with desirable nostalgia. "All you need to do is let your heart guide you, and always be considerate. If it's love that you feel, then nothing can interrupt. I have faith in you, and as much as I hated you, I kind of feel sorry."
Chuckling lightly, Chan looked up and nodded, brushing a palm over his face. "Thank you... so much. And I- I'll quit my job tomorrow. I don't know where I'm gonna find a new one, but I will. And I promise I won't mess up."
"You better not," the younger warned, glaring softly. "And don't talk to him until I do, okay? I'll make sure to let you know when I do it, so tomorrow most likely because he's probably asleep by now. If you approach him too quickly he might get the wrong idea, so just take your time."
"Well that'll be difficult, but I understand," Chan smiled, nodding and standing to escort the boy to the door. "Thank you again for this. People don't- people don't usually listen to me, and believe what i say so easily."

"Hyune?" Seungmin called, too caught up in closing the door behind him to notice how his boyfriend was anxiously wiping some tears off of his cheeks before standing. "Is Felix asleep?"
"Yeah he is," Hyunjin shrugged, standing to go meet the younger at the door, thinking twice before greeting him with an expected kiss to rid any possible suspicion attempting to tickle is occasionally insecure partner's mind. "Let's go home," he whispered against the boy's lips, guilty tears threatening to leave his eyes as he fought to repel the stifling thoughts of his previous mistake. "I missed you so much," he kissed the shorter again, this time deeper and more teasing. "I want the day with you tomorrow. Completely undisturbed since we were interrupted tonight~"
"Hyunjin not here," Seungmin pulled away, glaring softly before leaving the apartment with his boyfriend, sliding Felix's key underneath the door per usual. "How do you expect to discuss this right here? What if he's awake? Don't be like that."
"Okay, I'm sorry," the blonde sighed, entwining his hand with the younger's as they made their way out to the parking lot. "But yeah, as I was saying, tomorrow is both our days off. So I want you all to myself..."
"Baby," Seungmin whined before climbing into the passenger seat, sighing and relaxing before continuing. "I have to talk to Felix about what Chan said tomorrow... but I promise, I'll make it up to you."
"Min, we hardly get our free days to fall on the same day as each other's. Just do this for me, please?" The older complained with a pout, guilty conscience and suffocating anxiety at just the thought of seeing Felix again fueling his persuading plea. "You can talk to him at any time, so just do it for me... He needs a break anyways, you shouldn't overwhelm him with that topic when he has work the day after all this. I even think that the weekend would be better to tell him."
"Well you do have a point," Seungmin sighed and nodded, staring out at the lighted streets through the window. "I don't know where you got all this neediness from though, but I guess I could wait it out."
"That's my Minnie," the blonde praised as he took a corner, smiling out of relief from mere satisfaction at his boyfriend's ignorant decision to comply. "I love you, very much."
"Aww, I love you too, Jinnie... very, very much."
