'Where...am I?'

Slowly opening her eyes, [Y/n] saw nothing but darkness surround her. What happened? She tried to move but it felt like she was paralyzed. She could not move any of her limb at all. Then, she closed her eyes, trying to remember what happened before she got here.

Ah...

Now, she remembered. A man killed her. A vampire in the forest. She was such an idiot. She should have listened to her brother's warning about how there was a vampire in the forest. If she listen for once, she could be alive by now. Holding her brother and apologizing for her actions. Tears escaped from her eyes, feeling disappointed of herself to be such a stubborn and an idiot sister.

"I didn't think someone like you dare to show your ugly face to my sister."

Then, [Y/n] opened her eyes. 'Danny...?' as she heard her brother's voice echoing in the darkness. She want to call him, asking for his help but her voice did not came out from her mouth. 'Move...Move!' she thought, yelling at her body to move. Her right hand twitched, showing a small sign of movement. She keep focusing on her right arm, trying to move it and slowly, lifting her hand. She gasped when she suddenly lost the feeling on her right arm, making it slowly fall down to her side. Soon, her eyes widened when a hand grabbed her right hand, gripping on it, tightly.

Before she got a chance to see who was the hand belong to, she been pulled toward the light above her and blinded by the brightness.

"—/n]...[Y/n]!"

[Y/n] groaned when hearing a familiar voice and slowly, opening her eyes. Her view was a bit blurry and she had to blink her eyes for a few times until she could see her surrounding, clearly. Her head turned to her right side and saw her brother looked at her, happily. "Danny...?" Danny pulled his sister into a hug, telling how happy is he to see her still alive. She patted his back, telling him that she need some air. "Sorry!" he let her go, and she sighed in relief. "Finally, you're awake." she turned her head toward the voice before her eyes widened.

She started to panic but Danny calmed her down by placing his hands on her shoulders. "It's okay, [Y/n]." he said. "O-Okay! He's a freaking vampire!" she yelled, pointing at Zack. "Told you she will be freak out." Zack said, leaning on the wall. "I suggest you shut your mouth, Zack." Danny said, glaring at him. [Y/n] was confused of why they were talking like normal when that creature was a vampire!

"Will someone explain what is happening?"

Danny chuckled and she glared at him, making him flinched from it. Then, he cleared his throat. "Actually, [Y/n]. This is Zack, a companion of mine." Danny explained. "Eh!" she ask, surprised. "Remember that day when I explain about the peoples who I worked together before in the past?" he ask. She raised an eyebrow while trying to remember about it. "...No." Zack clicked his tongue. "Just a waste of time." Zack said, heading to the exit. "Where do you think you're going?" Danny ask, showing serious in his tone. "Away from this place." Zack replied.

"Unfortunately, I can't allow you to get away from me in this time as you gave your blood to my sister to save her."

"W-Wait! Does that mean.." [Y/n] ask, eyes widened. "A vampire? Yes." Zack answered. Danny chuckled, pushing his glasses with his index and middle fingers. "I'm sorry, [Y/n] but I can't let both of you go as you're going to be my precious test subject." Danny said, holding a remote in his hand. "What-" he pressed a button, releasing gas into the room. She started to cough as she inhaled the gas and her vision started to blur. The gas also affected Zack and he leaned on the wall, supporting his balance as he glared at Danny.

"D-Damn you...!"

"W-Why.." [Y/n] ask, getting off from the table. Unfortunately, her legs weakened by the gas, making her collapsed onto the ground. She glanced at her brother, looking at her with emotionless face. "D-Danny..." she lifted her hand, trying to reach for him but he smiled. "Have a nice dream, [Y/n]." she lost her consciousness, meeting the darkness once again.

"Oi! Wake up!"

"Ow...My head..." [Y/n] slowly gained her consciousness and rubbed her head. She looked around and screamed when seeing Zack in front of her. "W-What are you doing?" she backed away to the nearest wall. "Don't scream!" he yelled, covering his ears. "Where are we?" she ask, looking at her surroundings. They were inside of a huge room with dried blood on the ground and wall. "That crazy brother of yours must have brought us here for his fucking test," he said. She frowned when mentioning about her brother.

How could he. How could her own brother do this to her...

Then, she snapped back into reality when hearing a loud sound coming from the door. She lifted her head to see Zack was kicking the door and he looked frustrated. "Damn it! Why can't I open this fucking door?" and [Y/n] rolled her eyes. "Useless. It's a metal door created by Danny to stop his test subject escaping," she said, standing up from the floor. Zack looked at her, searching for something to open the door before looked away.

"Sorry."

"Pardon?" [Y/n] ask, raising an eyebrow. "I say s-sorry, so don't make me repeat it twice!" Zack said, making her surprised. "A-Are you apologize to me?" she ask, disbelief. A vampire like him was apologizing to her. That sounded like a dream that he would do that. "I say don't make me repeat twice, brat!" and she backed away, flinching from his loud tone. "Well...you kind of already did." she said, referring to his last sentence. He growled and kicking the metal door even though, it was useless.

That sound like a good start for a relationship. If she had to escape from this, she also needed his help...even though he killed her and saved her with his blood, making her as a vampire.

Who would have known that their relationship is starting to get bigger and evolve from friendship to another stage?
