Ryu: I'm cursed with the pain
Knowing I know, I can't break the habit, I can't break the habit.
Shake another slave. Damn this a great song. Hopefully it's one of my themes.

Most of the Gremory Peerage had gone to the Familiar forest to get Issei and Asia their own Familiars. Also Asia decided to be reincarnated as a Devil since that meant she'd be able to live forever with Ryu and Issei too. Ryu and Koneko however stayed back. Why you ask? Because Ryu already had a blast breakdown by the sound barrier throwing a dodgeball and hitting Saji right in the manhood, and those two just wanted to stay back with him.

Koneko: I didn't know you could sing.

Tiamat: I said the same thing.

Ryu: There are a lot of things about me Neko.

They were currently walking through Kuoh. Ryu being the one who usually just doesn't give damn hit every shop with her buying many sweets with Koneko. He bit down on a cinnamon roll liking the taste. And from his peripheral vision he saw Koneko reaching for two when she had her own basket full and rose his own up.

Ryu: Touch mine and the arm comes off.

Koneko: Stingy.

Ryu: You literally have five times as much. And let's not even talk about the mountain of YOUR chocolate I'm carrying in these bags.

He gestured to the massive bag over his shoulder.

Koneko: Suck it.

Ryu: That's my line.

She lightly punched him on the arm smiling. Just when that happened, Ryu's phone rang. Saw it was Rias and answered.

Ryu: What up?

Rias: Ryu, there are a few calls for Stray Devils in town. It seems pretty serious too, all of them are emergency subduing orders. Can you and Koneko handle it while we're at the forest? I'd usually say wait but I think you can do it if you work together.

Ryu: Sure whatever.

Koneko: On it.

He hung up and checked the locations on a separate phone.

Ryu: Good thing I installed that app like Rias asked. Ok the Catholic Churches, five miles from there at an abandoned where house, and then behind my house- Wait what the hell?

Koneko: The church is the closest.

They both began running to the run down church with Ryu slowing down considerably to keep up with Koneko.

Ryu: Koneko, this is actually gonna be my first time seeing an emergency subduing order Stray. What'll they be like?

Koneko: All of them are really crazy. They can barely even form words.

Ryu: Mindless beast, got it. Anyway let's drop these here for now, we can pick them up after we deal with all of them.

She nodded as they put the sweets down and went into the church. Ryu immediately smelt fire and grabbed Koneko.

Ryu: DODGE!

He pulled her out of the way of a massive fireball and saw the cause of it.

Needless to say he was VERY confused.

Ryu: WHAT THE FLIPPING FLOP FUCK IS THAT?

It roared sending a wave of fire at the two. Ryu shielded Koneko as he didn't seem affected at all.

Koneko: That's what calls for an emergency subduing order.

Ryu: That thing looks like the love child of a Gargoyle and what looks like a Hell Chupacabra.

Tiamat: That's kinda what it seems like yeah.

It bounced off the walls like a rubber ball and launched to Ryu. Before it even got close to him Ryu summoned the Buster Sword and slashed it apart. He raised his other hand and blasted the rest of it to ash.

Ryu: God damn that thing was creepy.

Koneko: Yes you were able to kill it by yourself.

Ryu: Yeah. Anyway, let's get to the others.

Ryu opened his phone and checked to see the other locations again. To his shock they were gone.

Ryu: The hell?

Tiamat: I'm actually confused myself here.

Koneko: What is it?

Ryu: Those other two orders are gone.

He lowered the phone to her showing it.

Koneko: Could it be broken?

Ryu: Hell no. It couldn't be I just got this thing.

He powered the phone off and powered it back on again revealing that there were no new locations.

Ryu: Yeah. Nothing new. Those other Strays must've just decided to screw off.

Koneko: Either that or the Sitri's took care of it.

Tiamat: Ok you've all seen brutal truth mode, now you're about to see Ryu's analysis mode.

Ryu: Maybe but I'm not too sure about that one. Would've taken a bit to beat just one and even then there's no way she could rely on one half to take care of the other, even if she and Tsubaki split up. Saji's still out from the nut cracker ball I threw and the rest are recovering too.

Koneko: So what could that mean?

Ryu: My place in walking distance would be 12 minutes from the school and 6 minutes with the average runner. Considering the Sitri's are all Devils and can fly that could end up being just 3 and a teleportation circle talking 1 minute to prepare would get them there instantly. But we were close by to here and it took us just 35 seconds of running to get here and you took 10 to explain what that thing was, and it taking be 5 to kill it, it only took us 50 seconds. I checked my phone just 10 seconds after and saw that the strays were gone. It took us one minute to get rid of this stray, but in that time someone took care of the other strays in the same amount of time, possibly even less than that. So it couldn't have been the Sitri's, I'm not even sure I'M normally that fast!

Koneko looked at Ryu with an expression that spoke absolute volume of her confusion.

Koneko: Wh-What just happened?

Ryu: Hm? Oh sorry, I've watched a lot of Death Note and played a lot of Persona so I tend to get into the small details.

Tiamat: You get used to it after a while.

Koneko: I'm never going g to get used to hearing you go so in depth into something.

Ryu: Ok, bottom line, there was another person involved in this. And that person was able to kill the Devils and get to a different place in a minute or less.

Koneko: I don't think we should leave this be.

Ryu: Damn it you're right. Let's go.

They went outside and grabbed the sweets before walking to Kuoh Academy. Once in front of the student council office doors be kicked them off their hinges to see Sona Saji and Tsubaki.

Ryu: Yo.

Sona: Ugh, what do you want Lucile?

Ryu: I'm guessing you're still sore from dodgeball.

Saji: WHAT MAKES YOU SAY THAT JACK- AHH!!

Saji put ice back to where his crowed jewels where in pain.

Tsubaki: I guess what they say about the ones who are quiet are true.

Ryu: I'll take those answers as yes. But we need to talk.

Sona: Before that, why aren't you two at the familiar forest with the rest of you're friends and master.

Ryu: We stayed behind since I already have my familiar, and didn't wanna wait for those two without anything to do.

Saji: You what?!

Tsubaki: I thought you only recently joined Rias.

Koneko: He did. Apparently he already had a Legendary Dragon as a familiar.

Sona: I won't even begin to ask.

Ryu: Which brings me to why we're here. It may take some time to explain.

He and Koneko sat down as she took a cinnamon roll from her basket and hit down.

Ryu: Did you three get the message about 3 emergency subduing orders?

Sona: Yes, although none of us were in any shape form what you did to us.

Ryu: I'm not apologizing. But you saw two of the orders disappear at the same one as around the church right?

Tsubaki: No actually.

Koneko: See? It must've been-

Tsubaki: Two of them disappeared right BEFORE the one at the church did. It disappeared right as I was about to put my phone down.

This time Ryu had a shocked expression.

Ryu: Wait Wait Wait, BEFORE?

Sona: Yeah.

Koneko: I take it back.

Ryu: So how fast did they disappear?

Saji: You won't believe us when we say it but only 20 seconds!

Ryu: But, Koneko and I got to the other stray just 30 seconds after I checked where it was!

Sona: So they weren't you two?!

Ryu: OBVIOUSLY! So there's only two realistic expectations. It's either one: There were two people near those strays while we were making our ways there, and they defeated those strays in 10 seconds by themselves, or...

Tsubaki: Or what?

Ryu: There was only a single person that took care of both Stray Devils. And that one person traveled the distances in less time it took for us to get over to the first.

Saji: No way! Both of those sound crazy!

Sona: But they're the only options we can think of. The first is already crazy, but the second option makes me think of anyone who could be so powerful.

Ryu: Damn. Well I just needed to confirm what I had to. When the others get here I'll have to explain.

TIME SKIP!!

Rias: THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!

Ryu: Like it or not they're the only ways possible.

Issei: So someone could have been able to take out 2 Strays before you could even get one?!

Koneko: That's the long and short of it. It's a theory, but what most likely happened.

Asia: It kinda scares me that someone could be so powerful.

Akeno: Ara-Ara. It is quite a thought.

Rias: We have to notify my brother about this.

Ryu: He'll most likely wanna hear it in person. *Sigh* Today has been way too long. I'm heading home. Make sure you lock the door when you get back Neko.

One other fun fact: Koneko decided to start living with Ryu.

He disappeared from the club and reappeared at the front of his house. He walked in and changed into fluffy pajama pants with a white tank top.

Ryu: I just need to take a nice long nap.

He closed his eyes and drifted off to bed. As that happened Koneko came into the house and was about to close the door behind her when everything stopped. She was unmoving as even the candle flames didn't move. Through the door came a woman with long black hair.

Behind her were 12 Devil wings as she made her way to Ryu's room. When she walked in she saw the sleeping teen and smiled.

???: My, how you've grown.

She walked to the bedside and sat down.

???: I wish you could hear my words right now, but it's not the right time. Soon everything will be clear to you.

She reached out to his cheek and caressed it slowly and gently.

???: You grew up not knowing the live of a mother or father and even had to find out the truth about you're heritage the hardest way. But even though you have had the hardest life you could think of you're still so gentle, and even kind, when you don't hide your own emotions.

She smiled warmly as a tear fell from one of her eyes. That tear dropped onto the unmoving body of Ryu's as it was enough to make something inside of him glow.

Tiamat: I should've known this was you're doing.

The woman laughed.

???: It looks like you're still the same Tia.

Tiamat: It's been a while, hasn't it Akane?

Akane: Yes, over 17 years.

Tiamat: Yup. I need to ask you, why have you waited so long?

Akane: I had to wait for a while until you awoke in him. If I showed up to early he would have been more than a bit vengeful.

Tiamat: So that's why you made me keep quiet for so long.

She smiled before looking back at Ryu.

Akane: Can I just have a minute more to talk to him by myself?

Tiamat: Of course.

Tiamat went silent just leaving Akane and Ryu.

Akane: Ryu, you definitely lean more to your father when we were you're age. A young and powerful individual who couldn't care less what other think. And having more power than they know what to do with.

She took out a red envelope from a bag.

Akane: When you read this everything will make sense to you. And if you are mine and your fathers son, which is pretty much confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt, the fire chicken is hoping to be roasted in a way even his immortality can't heal.

She leaned down to his forehead and kissed it.

Akane: I'll see you soon, my sweet child. Time Resumes.

She vanished from the room as time resumed. Koneko closed the door and began up to Ryu's room seeing the door open. She walked in and saw the envelope.

Koneko: 'He never leaves Mail unopened...'

She opened it up and began to read the letter before crying.
