"hey, Alice can you help me find this... Laundry detergent ashiya asked?" Maou asked while handing me his shopping list

"hmm.... There" I said pointing to the detergent nearby

"oh, thanks. Geez this thing is heavy" Maou said as he lifts the detergent.

" step aside barbie" I mocked before I lifted the detergent with ease and put it in the cart.

"what's next?" I asked to the dumbfounded maou

"uh.... Let's see... A... What's a... Bluetooth headphone?" Maou asked

Lucifer must've been the one who wrote that one, no doubt.

" take my advice and skip that one, except if you want to be broke"

Maou's eyes widened before he quickly throw out the paper into the nearest garbage can while cursing lucifer under his breath. "well I have everything I need then" He huffed

"what about you?" he asked, turning his attention to me

I check on my shopping list. Shampoo, check. Soap, check. Clothes, check. Baking soda, check. Flour, check. Comic books cause I want them, check. Parfume for dad cause he never uses one and stinks, check. Snacks cause why the hell not, check. Additional unnecessary items that I suddenly crave on, check. I guess I'm done too then.

"yeah, I think I'm done too" I shrug. "let's pay them before the line gets longer than ashiya's lecture" I joked which makes Maou chuckles and shakes his head before he follows me towards the cashier.

"hey, what's this?" Maou asked while he picks up a unique looking box. I took the box from his hand and realizes this is the newest pocky stick I often see at comercials on tv.

"oh. This is called pocky, Maou. It's a light snack that tastes delicious. They also come in some different flavors"I explained giving the box back to him

" pocky huh? I think I recall urushihara telling me that this snack is quite good. What flavors do they serve?" maou asked

"well, there's chocolate, strawberry, banana, green tea, mocca, and my personal favorite, cookies and cream" I said while begging my saliva to not make a waterfall from my mouth.

"but this one says it's blueberry flavored" maou said pointing to the box

"yeah, that's the new flavor. I hear that it's good" I shrug

"I bet it's better than your favorite flavor" maou teased

" better than cookies and cream? HA!! GAME ON MISTER!!" I said with fire burning in my eyes. Ouch that hurts.

I put the blueberry pocky into the cart before me and maou swiftly went towards the cashier with the shortest line.

-at Alice's house-

"damn. So much traffic" maou groans when I search my house key in my pocket

"DAD, I'M HOME!!" I screamed on top of my lungs

*insert crickets sound*

"huh, that's weird. Where is he?" I mumbled

" on duty, maybe? Isn't he a police like Chi's dad?" maou asked as we walk towards the kitchen to put our shopping bag.

"no. Today is his day off" I said. To be honest I have some sort of bad feeling about this. And sometimes when my feeling is this strong, it hot somesort of mixed up with my wolf instict that is strong as hell. So you can guess why am I worried right now.

I noticed a note on the fridge and I quickly read it.

If you're back, I've ordered some pepperoni pizza for dinner with come chicken wings. I suddenly got a call from the head office at Tokyo saying that there's a some sort of gathering I must attend this evening. I should be back around 7 but don't bother to wait for me and enjoy your food.

"see? Told you" moau grins as he munch on some cookies which I made yesterday.

"I don't know... A sudden gathering at Tokyo? That doesn't make any sense. I mean... He's not an elite officer or anything like that so... What gives?" I rambled

" hey. It's already 6 p.m. You'll meet him soon. Don't worry. Come on. Let's check out if I win that pocky bet "Maou said while grinning ear to ear. He's trying to cheer me up..... Okay I AM TOUCHED.

" yeah.. You're probably right. Let's go " I said before I grabbed the pocky sticks we bought from the shopping bag.

" let's try this first "Maou said with a puppy eyes while pointing to the blueberry one.

" finee" I sighed

"YES" he shouts before he quickly grabs the box and open it. Well, try to open it.

"HOW DO YOU PEOPLE OPEN THIS STUPID BOX??" Maou growled as he struggles on with opening the box

"give me that" I said while rolling my eyes at him

I ripped the upper part open and rips out the plastic containing the pocky sticks.

"you need to work out more woman" I teased making Maou pout and crossed his arms

"shut up" he grumbled as he took two pocky sticks and shove them into his mouth.

"LOOK ALICE I'M A WHALE" he exclaimed while clapping his hand like a seal

"a... Whale?" I blinked

"yeah. I saw it on a zoo poster. Don't you know them? They have a big fat body with long whiskers and long fangs..." maou described while munching on his pocky sticks. His description makes me laugh so hard the neighbors will probably think I'm crazy now.

"what's so funny?" he asked cluelessly (a/n is that even a word? Lol)

"it's a walrus, Maou not a whale" I finally said after laughing for 3 minutes

"that's what I meant" he mumbled

"oh sure it was" I teased

"shut up and eat this pocky" maou grumbled while shoving me the blueberry pocky box

I took one out and took a bite out of it "it's actually pretty good. But it still doesn't beat cookies and cream" I commented

"really? I thought it was really great. I like it" Maou said, grabbing another pocky stick

I took the cookies and cream pocky stick box and rip it open. After I rip off the plastic, I instantly take 4 and take a bite out of all of them.

"is it really that good?" maou chuckled as he gets himself one pocky stick

"just try it" I said, still busy eating

Maou raised his eyebrow and took a bite. His eyes widened "what do you know. It IS better" he complimented.

"told you. So that means... I'M THE WINNER!!!" I shouted with my hands in the air

"yeah, yeah whatever" he scoffed as he reached for the tv remote lazily and turn the tv on

"you do realize that ashiya is probably waiting for you, right?" I chuckled when he lays down on the sofa and eat more pocky sticks

" eh, I'm the king. I do what I want" he shrugged

After a few minutes of us watching the tv, maou decides to break the silence.

"do you know the pocky game?"

yeah so sorry for not updating for a long time. I'm currently on a holiday so.. YAY NO SCHOOL!! and I will probably use my time to work on the next chapter since I don't have anything better to do...... Besides cleaning the house and take care of my dog but eh, I can multi-task. Even though sometimes it ends up miserably heheh
