MAOU'S POV

"sorry I took so long. I have to clean up the mess suzuno made and-"I stopped talking when I saw alice sleeping peacefully while hugging her bag.

I sighed and smiled at the sight. She must be exhausted from all of this. Either way, she looks cute when she's sleeping like this.

I picked her up and carried her downstairs. Halfway through the stairs, she frowned in her sleep. Is she having a bad dream?

"..... Mom.... "she mumbled, still sleeping

Mom? W-wait a minute... I remembered lucifer saying about alice moving to earth and there's reason on the occasion. If I remember correctly, she moved ever since her mom left her and her dad alone for unknown reason. She's the type of girl who's really close to her family so that incident must be really hard for her. Maybe she's having a dream about her mom now. Does she miss her mom?

I stopped a taxi and told the driver to go to hatagaya station. I gotta make things right there first before I could go anywhere. Alice is still sleeping peacefully with her head on my lap. She looks so vulnerable right now.

I stroked alice's really soft hair carefully. What did she do to make her hair this soft? It's like I'm touching a... Fur... Huh... I always forgot she has a wolf blood in her too. Maybe that's what makes her hair this soft.... And kind of fluffy

"mmh.....m-maou?"she mumbled as she woke up slowly

"hey "I smiled, still stroking her hair

" where are we? " she asked, getting up and rubbed her eyes

" a taxi. I need to go to Mgronald's first to make things straight. I already told your dad that you're fine "I said

" ah... Okay.... Wait a minute, did you carried me from the roof??! "She asked, blushing madly making me chuckle

" it's not a problem "I said, holding her close to me. I don't know why but she's really comfortable to hug.

" so what did you do back there at the shinjuku station? "she asked making me frown, remembering what I did

" Suzuno is a jerk. She actually broke the entire intire infrastructure for shinjuku station and to diminish all the confusion she caused I had to use up all of the magic power I received "I sighed

" but, whatever.... It's in the past now... More importantly right now... Aaahhh, in just a few moments it will be closing time.... "I said weakly making her sweat dropped

The taxi then stopped near hatagaya station. I payed and grabbed alice's hand before dragging her to Mgronald's. I hope I'm not too late...

ALICE'S POV

" If.... If I don't hurry up and get to the store... "maou gasped as we ran towards Mgronald's

Maou then stopped in a flash making me bumped onto him. I noticed him shivering a bit. I looked up and saw his manager in front of Mgronald's, arms crossed. This isn't good...

" you care to explain, what the hell is going on here, maou? "she asked in a scary tone making maou shivers some more

" m-miss.... Ki-kisaki...... "maou shrieked weakly

" I got a call that you said something about chi and your girlfriend being in trouble and that you then grabbed a mop and ran out of here and never came back "Kisaki said again

" well.... No... See.... "maou stuttered

" you really have some guts don't you? To think that you would leave when we had a deficit this morning. Did your supervisor responsibilities get in the way of your date? Well? "she asked. WHAT THE HECK THIS WOMAN IS SCARIER THAN THAT DOLL BACK AT THE HAUNTED HOUSE

" well... See.... "maou stuttered again, sweats coming out from him like waterfall

" Maou came to my rescue "I said in unison to.... Emi??

" and you are? "kisaki asked

" my name is Yusa. Similar to Chiho Sasaki..... Well.... I am Maou's friend "emi said

Maou put on his confused and shocked face.

" when Chiho, Alice and I were on our way home, we were approached by a suspicious man. He forced us into a dark place, and that is when Maou came to rescue us "Emi said. Well that's one way to put on the story

" you mean like a prowler? Now that you mention it, I did hear something happened in the vicinity of the sasazuka crossroads "kisaki said

" 3 young girls, walking all alone, with no way to defend themselves.... "emi said dramatically. She has been hanging with Ashiya too much

" yea... Yeah that's how it went. Maou is the one who drove him away. And tha's the reason why he had to leave the store so sudden the way he did. If he wasn't there.... "I paused, looking at maou before looking at kisaki again

" I-I don't even want to know what will happen if he didn't saved me. He really saved me back then. He was willing to do anything to save us back then "I said. I saw maou smiled and blushed lightly in the corner of my eyes

" sadao "Emi said

".... What?" maou asked

"chiho made it home safe, without any problems. Her mother was waiting for her" Emi said

"oh... Ok. Thanks for letting me know "maou said

" if what you're telling me is true, than it couldn't be helped. Next time, you young girls should be more aware of where you are and the world you're in " kisaki sighed before he grabbed maou's shoulder

" thanks to your bravery you were able to protect chi and the others. But if you got hurt in the process, it would hurt me as well as the other girls. Next time, don't push it like that "kisaki said

" miss kisaki... "maou mumbled happily

" and.... Alice, is it? Thank you for bringing maou back here. I see maou has found himself a keeper"kisaki smiled making me and maou both blushed deeply

"why don't you all come in and take a breather, you must be tired. I'll prepare some coffee for us "she said again

" well, if you insist "Emi said

" M-M-MISS KISAKI!!" an employee shouted as he ran outside

"ah, maou came back!! "he stopped looking at maou

" yeah but I still need to tell ms. Kisaki "he mumbled in a panic manner

" CALM DOWN!! NOW IN A CALM AND STRUCTURED MANNER, TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG!! "Kisaki ordered

Is she raised in a military place or something? She kinda scares me

" YES!! "the man said, standing straight

" A... A MAN CAME FLYING OUT OF OUR REFRIGERATOR!! "He exclaimed

"all of the sudden, out of nowhere, a man came flying out of our refrigerator. He seems to be unconscious, and we are at loss at what we should do next "he explained

I looked at maou who has the same expression as I do. He then rushed inside without sparing a second.

" h-hey maou!! "kisaki shouted

" GEH! "I heard him yelped from inside as I ran inside, with the others following me.

I looked who the man is and almost screamed in shock. SARIEL!!!??

I glared at maou who gave me an 'I - don't - know - either' look

" WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!!? "roared Kisaki as she arrived at the scene

" because you didn't give the gate any kind of true location, I think it chose this location due to the fact that those bamboo decorations you put up, were the only magical energy nearby and work as beacon... "Suzuno whispered

" bamboo decorations? "I asked, whispering

" I'll tell you that later "Maou said while holding my hand, reassuring me

I nod at him at look at the still unconscious archangel. Suddenly he moved his head and groaned. I got surprised and stepped back. Only to have maou tightened his grip to my hand. I saw him gritting his teeth. I'm pretty sure we're thinking the same thing... That is... Of how to get rid of Sariel

" oh, so you used those bamboo decorations to attract customers from sentucky? "I asked after Maou told me about the battle of popularity between Mag and Sentucky

" yep. I didn't know the gate would chose it though "Maou said

We're currently walking towards my house. He insisted to walk me home even though I know I'll be fine.

There was silence for a moment. We're passing a bridge with a small river under it.

" hey, Alice.. "Maou called

" yeah? "I asked, looking at him. I noticed that he has a troubled look on his face.

" are you.. Fine with... You know... Being my girlfriend? It's not that I don't but it's just.... "he stuttered

" you're a demon lord? "I asked

" yeah... "Maou nods slowly

I sighed and smiled at him. " Maou, listen. I don't love you for your role, I love you for yourself, for who you are inside. If you want to love somebody it's the inside that counts, not the outside. And so far, you've been nothing but being nice and gentle to me" I said

I noticed him blushing after I said that "y-you.. Love me?" he asked

I just noticed what I said and blushed madly. Do I really? Am I in love with satan?

"Maou... Love is one strong word. It means you really care about someone and that you'll be there for them no matter what..... My mom doesn't know that meaning of love and left me and my dad alone.... That made me feel scared of loving someone. I'm afraid that someone I love will turn their backs on me again and leave me all alone again"I said, looking down. I felt Maou grabbed my hand and stopped me.

"But I won't. I promise you I'll be there by your side. I promise I will never leave you or even turn my back on you. That's something that will never happen. I promise you! And I won't break my promise! I'll keep my words! "Maou said making me smile, that goof

" I know Maou. That's why I chose to love you. You made me not scared anymore "I smiled

Maou didn't say anything. He blushed and pulled me towards him. He then hugged me close as if his life depends on it.

" thank you, Alice "he mumbled, still hugging me

" for what? " I asked

" for trusting me. And by the way... " Maou said, letting me go and look into my eyes.

" I love you too "He smiled

(a/n two chapters in one day?? Yep. I'm feeling generous since I just see this when I open wattpad earlier today
