[stranded AU, fluff]

Last time on "Survive Part 3"...

"If you get pregnant..."

"Then I'll be happy." Sakura grinned, "I mean, I think it'd be fun being married to you..."

"'Married'?" Sasuke stared at her, "you... And me?"

"Mhm." Sakura smiled, "if you'll say 'yes', that is."

He smiled down at her, took her in his arms, and kissed her, "of course. I'll marry you as many times as it takes to stay with you forever."

"Do you think... We'll survive here? Just the two of us?"

Sasuke smiled and kissed her forehead, "yeah."

- The next morning -

"You guys need anything else?"

"No, I think this should be enough."

"Thank you, Choji. Kiba."

"No problem!" Kiba grinned as Ino and Hinata picked up the baskets of fish and brought them near the fire, "anything for breakfast. I'm starving!"

"Hey, Sakura's not up yet?" Choji glanced over to where Sakura's hut was, "she's normally the first one up, isn't she? Maybe something happened. Should I go get her?"

"Nah. Let her sleep. She's helped out plenty with the hunting, so she should get her sleep in." Kiba shrugged as he wandered over to the campfire before catching sight of a head of pink hair, "Sakura?"

She stopped in her tracks and glanced over to where Kiba and Choji were, "ah! Good morning, guys!"

"Wow. You're awfully cheery this morning, aren't you?" Choji chuckled.

"Yeah, I was just out getting a bath in. That's all." Sakura smiled as she walked up to them, clenching the hem of her shirt and pulling it down, "anyways, did you guys sleep well last night?"

"Hey, uh..." Naruto walked up to the small group, "Sakura, can I talk to you for a sec?"

Sakura blinked a few times before following him a small distance from the campsite, "what's up?"

"I could ask you the same thing."

Her heart stopped as Naruto looked at her with a serious look, "I-I don't know what you mean."

"So, what did Sasuke tell you?"

She pursed her lips, "what makes you think he told me anything?"

"Oh, no reason." Naruto rose a brow, "just the fact that last night, I heard some... Ah... Weird sounds coming from the cave near the base of the mountain. You know, by that ravine."

Sakura's face burned, "d-did you, huh? Wonder what was out there so late."

"Yeah." Naruto looked at her, "so what did he tell you? Other than..."

"Naruto!"

"Listen, I could care less about what happened last night. I mean, of course it's a little gross and inappropriate. I just feel like he's trying to get into your head."

"Shut up." Sakura crossed her arms, "it's nothing."

"It's nothing?" Naruto pursed his lips, "what if you get pregnant?"

That struck her a little harder than she thought it would, "s-so what if I am?"

"Will Sasuke still leave?"

"How do we know we'll be here forever?"

"What if we are? And Sasuke leaves with Shikamaru and them." Naruto looked at her seriously, "I don't want you to go through that pain."

Sakura looked away and shut her eyes, "he... He wouldn't do that. He told me..."

"In the moment, yeah, but what if things change?"

"They won't." Sakura turned back to him, "because he's Sasuke."

Before they could finish speaking, there was what sounded like an explosion on the other side of the island.

"Wh-what was that?" They looked around frantically until Ino came running up to them.

"There you two are!"

Sakura turned to her, "what happened?!"

"You didn't see?!" Ino laughed, "there are rescue choppers out there! They found us!"

Within the next hour, the whole group was boarding a helicopter back home.

"Well... It was a short-lived life, but..."

"That was fun. The late-night swims..."

"Was that all... Just a one-time thing?"

"Hm?"

"Was that just your survival instinct talking? Or..."

"... No."

"Really? How can you be so sure?"

Sasuke grinned, "I agreed to marry you, didn't I? Once we graduate, I swear."

"Really?"

"Hey, I want to stay by your side. I promised."

Sakura laughed lightly, "no, you didn't."

"Well, maybe I did in my head, then."

Sakura sighed. She felt her heart skip a beat as his hand made its way over her lap and onto where her hand rested on her stomach. His fingers intertwined with hers as she gave him a weak smile.

"You feeling okay?"

"N-not really... I get motion sickness..." Sakura chuckled weakly, "especially in the air."

"Well." Sasuke smiled, "I really hope it's motion sickness that's getting to you."

Sakura stared at him for a second before laughing off the fear that suddenly overwhelmed her, "d-don't joke about that..."

"Hey, whether it happens or not, I'll stick by your side. Got that?" He brought her hand up to his lips and kissed it, "you have my word."

She looked at him with love in her eyes and a feeling that she'd never felt for anyone in her life before.

It was a short paradise, but I guess something good did come out of this trip.

We did it. 

We survived.
