[Depression AU, mystery, angst]

I stood there, on the roof to my apartment complex. I breathed in the cool chilly air. I tried to stay calm, but every passing moment I wanted to rip my heart out of my chest. My life has been shattering around me and all I wanted to do was die, the only thing keeping me sane was the wind as it spoke its soothing words. As I turned around to leave the roof, I felt a light force against my body. Everything rolled in slow motion as my body slowly fell off the edge, I felt my feet leave the sturdy concrete of the roof. I tried my best to turn my body to see who pushed me..and it was him.

I woke up with a gasp. I couldn't breathe and I was sweating bullets. I looked around at my surroundings in a panic but I noticed something. I wasn't in my bed or even my room. I was in someone else's bed in their room. The door creaked open, the sound of feet shuffling caused me to open my eyes. My body becomes stiff as the mysterious person comes closer to the bed, I instinctively sit up. The coldness from the room sent a shiver up my spine, as I looked down to pull the covers up I realized that I was naked. I screamed and immediately covered myself. "Calm down." The voice groaned out.

"Calm down?! How am I suppose to calm down!? I'm naked in your bed!" I screamed out, strands of my baby pink hair fell into my face. I glared at the man before me, his raven hair was styled perfectly and his onyx eye could stare into my soul.

"It was just a one night stand, nothing big." The man sighed as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I just wanted to make sure you woke up, you got pretty wasted last night." I felt the man look at me, I felt his creepy eyes staring me down. "My name is Sasuke." The male stuck out his hand for me to shake but I only slapped it away. He let out a heavy sigh as I begin to shake violently with rage. "Look, you were enjoying yourself last-" Before he could finish his sentence, I got up and began running. I spotted my clothes on the ground and grabbed them swiftly. I shuffled to the door as I struggled to put my clothes on, once my clothes were on I sprinted through the door and slammed it behind me.

I run as fast as I can to nowhere in particular, tears streamed down my fast. I have never been so humiliated in my life, I could just die right now. I knew that my best friend's house was close by so I decided to run there and find some form of comfort. I knocked on the door but I no one came to the door, that wasn't like Ino. I opened the door slightly and looked around. Two pairs of shoes were at the door, one was Ino's and the other was not. I raise an eyebrow as I fully enter the house. I could hear giggling in the distance.

I made my way up to her room, the giggling got extremely louder. I peek inside and see something horrifying. Ino is fooling around with Kiba, my male best friend. He told me he hated Ino and Ino told me that she hated him. "What the hell is going on here?!" I yell. Ino screams at my sudden outburst and she quickly gets under the covers to conceal her naked body.

"S-sakura! I wasn't expecting you today." She says, I roll my eyes at her.

"You guys told me you hated each other! And then I catch you guys fooling around with each other?" I ask. Kiba remains quiet, he knows what he did. "Why the hell would you guys lie to me?" The tears come back to my eyes and I try my hardest to hold them back. "Both of you, don't even both talking to me at school tomorrow." My voice cracks as I quickly exit the room, running for the door. Ino calls my name but I ignore her. I didn't realize I had run for a while until I had stopped at a park. My world was just falling apart around me, it was like I couldn't escape any misfortune that came upon me.

My phone then went off, indicating that I had received a text message. I pulled my phone out of my back pocket. I sniffed as I wiped my tears and then looked at my bright screen.

Sasuke:
Hi ;)

I growled under my breath. That bastard had put his number into my phone when I was asleep.

Me:
Why the hell is your number in my phone?

Sasuke:
Because I wanted to keep in touch, maybe become friends. We got off on the wrong foot. Plus, I was worried so I followed you.

My eyes widen as I look around, I then see a black Cadillac with the window rolled down. Sasuke's arm was resting on the window and he had his phone in his other hand. He gave me a quick wave.

Me:
Go away.

Sasuke:
Just get into the car and I'll take you home.

He was so demanding but it was kind of sweet. I let out a long sigh, and I could see Sasuke chuckling in the distance.

Me:
On my way over -_-

I walked over to Sasuke's car and heard him unlock the car. As soon as I opened it I smelt the scent of sweet Axe cologne and it smelled amazing. I took a giant whiff as I sat down in the passenger's seat. Sasuke didn't start the car, all he did was roll up the window and took off his seat belt. I stiffened as he turned towards me. "Tell me what's wrong and what happened in your friends house-" He narrowed his eyes at me. "Or we're not going anywhere."

I groaned and hesitated for a second. He grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze, to reassure me that it was okay. A total stranger grabbed my hand and told me to tell him my problems. How often does that happen? I looked into his eyes and then sighed, mentally punching myself for doing this. "First, I slept with a total stranger. I have never done that in my life. Then, I found out my two best friends were sleeping together. They told me they hated each other but they deliberately went behind my back and I just feel betrayed." A single tear rolled down my cheek. "I got humiliated, and lost my two best friends in one whole day." I let out a sad chuckle. "It's kind of stupid." I rolled my eyes at myself.

Sasuke let go of my hand and put his seat belt back on. "I don't think it's stupid." He said as he drove off. I smiled, then gave him the directions to my apartment complex. We talk and chatted about a bunch of different stuff; our favorite foods, favorite television shows. It was just perfect, but the moment ended when he pulled into the parking lot of my apartment complex. I frowned.

I unbuckled my seat belt and then turned towards him. "Thank you." I smiled at him as I opened the car door. Getting out and shutting it quickly. I walk away, popping my hips as I did. I didn't hear him pull away until I got inside. The way up to my apartment was lonely and quiet, it reminded me of all the hell I've been through today. I unlocked my apartment door and entered. Everything was pitch black until I flicked the lights on. I scanned the room and let out a soft sigh. I hated the silence and the loneliness. Now I really was alone in this world now. My two best friends, my two only friends were no longer my friends. I had no one.

I went out onto my balcony, sliding the door shut behind me. The sun had started to set and I gave a content sigh as the wind blew my hair around. The sweet scent of nature filled my nose as I heard the occasional bird chirp. I turned around, my feet instinctively brought me to my door. I then left once more. But instead of leaving the complex, I took the elevator to the roof. The air was chillier up there, and the winds were harsher. It brought me a sense of tranquility.

I stepped up onto the ledge and extended my arms out, letting the wind hit me at full capacity. I felt like I was flying. So as I stood there, on the roof to my apartment complex. My eyes widened and I opened my voice to scream, but nothing came out. My facial expression was one of betrayal. How could he do this to me? I sighed as I closed my eyes. I looked up at the sky as I was falling, my arms were still extended beside. Looks like I was really flying. Everything came to a standstill, however, when my back it a large pile of trash. I gasped as I bolted upwards and looked around. Tears came to my eyes as I looked up at where I fell from, actually scratch that, where I was pushed from. Sasuke then left.

I growled under my breath and lifted myself off the pile of trash, and booked it to the front of the apartment complex. I never have run so fast in my life, it was probably from the mixture of emotions that I was feeling. Anger, sadness, betrayal, the whole shebang. I caught Sasuke as he was entering his car. I yanked the door open and grabbed him by the collar, pulling him out of the car with pure brute force. He grunted as I pushed him away from me, he stumbled to the ground. "What the hell is wrong with you!" I yelled at him, my lungs were screaming from the intense workout I put upon them but I ignored it.

"I saved your life!" He retorted. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead which made his bangs stick to it.

I clenched my fists until they bled white. "You pushed me off a building!" I screeched. I didn't know what else to say or think, I was furious. If I was going to go out it was going to be on my terms and not someone else's.

He sighed hard and then clenched his fists as well, we were standing off against each other at this point. "It was mercy."

I laughed out loud and then my face went back to its stoic form. "It was almost murder, you lunatic." My voice cracked and my whole body loosened. Tears started to well up in my eyes.

Sasuke stalked towards me, he towered over me and narrowed his eyes at me. I didn't take my eyes off of his onyx ones. He grabbed my chin in between his thumb and forefinger. He placed his lips on mine and kissed me softly, I became putty in his hands and I couldn't push him off of me. He pulled away, our faces were inches apart. "Wouldn't be the first time, sweetheart." He said in a husky tone.

He then backed up and got back into his car, he sent a wink my way. "Text me sometime, princess next time you want to have sex." He let out a chuckle. "I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it." He then drove off, leaving me angry and alone in the apartment complex parking lot.

I let out a single sob as tears streamed down my face. "I almost died because of that jerk."
