🌸it starts off like this...🌸

[Modern AU]

It starts off like this: Sasuke's alarm rings, he falls off of bed and puts his shirt on not only backwards but inside-out as well when he's getting ready to go to work

To say the least today is not a good day (and it's barely eight).

It proceeds like this: Sasuke clocks in a few minutes past nine. He's got his coffee and breakfast in hand as he walks through the door of Konoha Electronics. It's a boring job that brings in boring people who come to get their stuff fixed for the smallest of problems--though some do have some actual problems that can't be fixed at home--but come on, more than seventy-five percent of the problems Sasuke sees are fixed by resetting the device.

It goes like this: the store isn't really crowded, it never really is. Busy season is the start of the new school year season, when everyone's looking for a new or better device to do their work on. Truthfully, Sasuke loves when it's not busy because that means he doesn't have to talk to anyone except for the occasional customer or two or even his boss—granted his boos only comes out when he absolutely needs to (ie. for food, the bathroom, or closing) Sasuke's pretty sure that his boss would live in the store if he could.

It keeps on like this: there's this girl in his literature class that dropped off her computer a few days ago. It's all busted up and a challenge for Sasuke, but it's not impossible for Sasuke to fix. It's actually kinda fun to work on it. The girl is weird. She's got this pink hair that's apparently natural—not that Sasuke can say anything about that, he's seen weirder colors before. But the hair isn't what's weird about her. What's weird is how when she came it she kept up a conversation with him—not a very interesting one, mind you—but she didn't give up halfway through talking like most people do.

It's not that Sasuke doesn't like talking to people, it's more along the lines of that he doesn't like people. But the girl--Sakura--kinda just ignores that whole thing about him as she dropped her computer off to the store for repairing. She's supposed to be coming back today for her fixed computer and Sasuke's not sure if he's ready to talk to people today. It's just been a long day even when he hasn't technically done anything yet.

It ends like this: Sakura comes to the store in the afternoon almost immediately after Sasuke's lunch break. She enters exactly as she came in three days ago: happy and humming with every step.

And of course, she strikes up another conversation with Sasuke as says the customary greeting that every retail store makes their employee say.

She keeps talking about random things, going into detail of how her day has been when Sasuke asks. It's honestly not so bad. The store isn't as quiet as it usually is, the boring music is drowned out by Sakura's talking and bubbling laughter--he doesn't even know what she's talking about or what's so funny--but it's refreshing in a way.

It's new.

Having someone to talk to him without being expected to talk himself.

It's nice in all honesty.

It starts off like this: Sasuke meets Sakura officially as a person and not a classmate when she comes to his store to drop off a questionably damaged computer that for some reasons it can't be explained how the computer was damaged in the first place. She strikes up two conversations with him; one the day she drops the computer off and another when she comes to pick it up. It's nice. They learn things about each other. And this won't be the last they speak to each other.

It starts off like this: they meet and it moves from there.
