[deaf!sakura AU, fluff]

A knock sounded from Sakura's door and her mom entered slowly as to not scare the pinkette. Sakura looked towards her mom, her eyes a sparkling green. "Sakura." She says slowly so her daughter can read her lips. "It's time for me to take you to school." Her mom says slowly again. She used sign language every time she said something.

'Okay' Sakura signed back.

   You see, Sakura is deaf. She's been deaf ever since she was born. When she was younger, she was quite depressed. But as she grew older, she's learned sign language and to partially read lips.

   Sakura got off her bed and followed her mom out of her room. As they left the house, Sakura grabbed her book bag and her phone. They got in the car and her mom pushed the key into the ignition, then they were off to Konoha High.

   They reached the school in approximately 10 minutes. 'Have a good day at school' Sakura's mom signed. 'Love you'

   Sakura smiled. 'Love you' She signed back with a twinkle in her eyes.

The pinkette walked towards the doors, making sure she looked around her. Since she is deaf, she has to make up with her other senses.

Sakura didn't even make it all the way through the door before she tripped and fell. She slowly looked up to see a couple of guys and a girl standing around her. She has never seen them before.

"Dead beat!"

"Cripple!"

"Deafie!"

She couldn't hear them but she knew they were insulting her. This was a daily thing for Sakura. People knew they could take advantage of her because they knew she couldn't hear them. "Hey!" A voice calls. The random group of teenagers look towards the source of the voice. Their eyes go wide as they see a certain ravenette stalking towards them.

"S-Sasuke!" One of them stutter out.

"Leave." Sasuke says with a monotone voice. He crosses his arms over his chest and glares daggers at the rude teenagers.

"Y-yes!" The teenagers stutter out as they run away from the scene.

Sasuke then averts his eyes and looks at Sakura. He extends his hand towards the pinkette. She looks at his hand for a second before taking it with slight hesitation. Sasuke helps Sakura off the ground.

Sakura signs 'Thank you'

Sasuke doesn't quite understand what she signed and tilted his head. "Pardon?" He asked.

She then mouths 'Thank you' and smiles at him. A light smile crosses Sasuke's features. "Your welcome." He said. "I'll see you later." Sasuke then turned around and walked away.

[After School]

"I'm home." Sasuke said as he walked through the door.

"Hello baby brother." He heard from the living room. "How was school?"

Sasuke walked past his brother and responded. "It was good."

Sasuke walked into his room and shut the door. He sat in his chair at his desk and opened his laptop. He typed into the search bar and clicked on a certain link. This link read "How to Learn Sign Language."

Sasuke spent that whole entire night learning how to sign. He ended up going to be at three am. But the next day would totally be worth it.

[The Next Day at School]

Sakura walked into the school, and as fate would have it, she tripped and fell. She looked up and saw the same teenagers from yesterday. They laughed at her and walked away.

She sighed as she hoisted herself off the ground. Sasuke saw this and e walked over to the poor girl. She fully stood up and dusted herself off, she looked at Sasuke. She wanted to smile but forced herself not to. Then Sasuke did something that shocked Sakura beyond belief. 'I'm sorry' he signed.

Sakura's eyes widen and her jaw practically drops to the floor. He knows ASL? She then composed herself. 'It's okay' Sakura signed back.

Sasuke then walks over to her and grabs her hands, he smiles lightly. He then wraps  his arms around her neck and pulls her closer. The same smile was still plastered on his face. Sakura instantly wrapped her arms around Sasuke and buried her face into his chest.

She was thankful for this, someone finally wasn't rude to her. She could tell that Sasuke was genuine. He pulled away and stared at her. He then lightly placed his lips on her cheek, her eyes widened slightly. He chuckled at her reaction and stepped back. 'See ya' he signed. Sasuke then walked off and waved to her.

Sakura smiled. She finally made a friend, or something more.
