It was a rainy day in the konoha, and Sakura sat at her window and stared at the falling rain.

She sighed, remembering Sasuke and how he had not been home for weeks. Though Sakura and Sasuke have been a couple for 5 weeks and counting, Sasuke had not been there for 3 out of 5 weeks since they announced themselves as a "couple".

Sakura then checked her phone for any missed calls or messages, hoping one of them would be from Sasuke.

None.

She sighed and felt tears come to her eyes. They were on the verge of dropping down her face till she heard the doorbell of her little apartment ring.

The pinkette quickly wiped away her tears,walked to her door, and opened it to reveal no one. She leaned out the door looking to the left and right, hoping to see someone who could've been outside her door. She looked down to find saw a package on the ground and picked it up.

"I haven't ordered anything? Have I?" she asked herself. "Nope? Okay," talking to herself again, Sakura shrugged and brought the package to the coffee table in front of the living room sofa.

The package was a small cardboard box with no address, no return address, no sender name, and no postage verification. Just her name on the front, written with nice handwriting Sakura Haruno/Uchiha ?

Sakura was confused by the name, especially since she and Sasuke were not married.... yet. She had been waiting to be called that for a long time, and smiled, admiring the writing on the box.

She then ripped the box open (WITH HER SUPER KUNOICHI STRENGTH) to find a letter, some chocolate, and a small box inside.

She picked up the chocolate first, "Oooooo chocolate!", then picked up the letter.

Dear Sakura,

Im sorry i haven't been there.I have been busy very with things, but here is something I have been meaning to give you. Open the little box.

Sakura paused in reading the letter, and opened the little box. Inside held a tiny ring. It was a simple one with a little stone in the middle. She eagerly picked up the letter again and continued to read.

It's a promise ring, don't worry i'm not proposing over a letter, that's something that needs to be done in person. ;) Please take it. See you soon.

She sat there speechless, and read the mysterious letter over one more time. Tears came to her eyes again, but this time they were happy tears. She let them fall as she took the ring out of the box and slipped it onto her ring finger.

The perfectly fitting ring sat snug on her finger and she shook her hand vigorously to make sure it wouldn't fall off. (You never know 😂)

She admired the ring and smiled, "see you soon Sasuke-kun."
