You are invited to Konaha's first Costume Party to be held tomorrow evening @Yamanaka's residence.

I grunted and let the invitation card slip off my hands before I slumped down on my bed.

"I can't believe this! A costume party? Seriously?! Who on earth would suggest such nonsense?!"

Oh, what joy! I just got home from the hospital earlier this afternoon and this is what was waiting for me at my doorstep! Has shishou gone mad? Knowing her, there's definitely a catch.

Hmmmm...

Well, if the 'bring sake' part isn't a clue, I don't know what is.

I closed my eyes and breathe in to calm my nerves. Tomorrow is Saturday, meaning most shinobis are on a day-off. I wonder if Naruto and the others will attend this crap?

I wonder if Sasuke-kun will go?

Ah! What am I thinking!? There's a one in a million chance he'd show up tomorrow night for the costume party.

I giggled at the thought.

I'd like to see him try!

This is it! I don't know what Ino's parents ate for letting their place be the venue.. but to heck with it!

"Ino, are you sure I don't look like a monkey?"

My blonde bestfriend laughed. Actually, she forced me to attend. A few hours ago, I found her knocking on my apartment door, with a large paper bag in hand. She already bought me a freakin' costume for tonight! How annoying is that?

"A monkey? Hahaha! Seriously, Billboard brow? You should go look at yourself in a mirror! You look as gorgeous as I am!"

She said and gently brushed a few strands of her hair that framed her flawless face.

I eyed her from head to toe and smiled.

She really does look like Queen Elsa!

"Hey, pig?"

"Yup?"

We started walking towards their mansion.

"Do you wanna build a snowman?"

We laughed at my lame joke. Soon enough, the air was filled with loud music and noises. I scanned the area and spotted a man dressed in a Madhatter costume. I had to examine his features carefully before I approached the guy who was busy chatting with a girl with blonde hair.

"Hey, miss! Can I get your number?"

I rolled my eyes, "Quit it Naruto. That won't work on me."

His brows furrowed for a second before scratching the back of his head, "Sakura-chan! You blew my cover, dattebayo! How could you?!"

I smacked the back of his head and turned to the blonde. I raised an eyebrow as she smiled sweetly at me. "Hinata? Hey, what's with the blonde hair?"

"O-Oh, hehe.. it's to complete my appearance. I am portraying Alice afterall."

I smirked, "Alice and the Madhatter huh? Good luck you guys! Hahaha!" I ran off to give them some privacy, but not before I heard Naruto's shocked exclamations of 'YOU'RE HINATA-CHAN?! YOSH! YOU LOOK SO DIFFERENT, BELIEVE IT!'

I inwardly laughed at the two's little moment.

But suddenly, as I turned to a corner for the exit (okay, I plan to escape), I accidentally bumped into someone.

"Ugh!"

"Sorry, miss."

I looked up and saw...

"Batman?"

"Yes. And you're cat woman."

"Well, no duh."

I stared at him intently. There's something familiar in the way he looks. I can't make out who exactly is this stranger, because his mask covered half of his face.. but I'm sure I've met him before!

"Who are you?"

"Your worst nightmare, sweetheart."

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest. Ugh! Damn. This suit really is itchy. I can't wait to take this costume off!

"Ha ha. Funny, Mr. Dark Knight... seriously, who are you?"

He smirked.

Those damn kissable lips! Is he teasing me or something?!

"I'm Batman."

"ARGH! I give up!" I frustratedly said and walked away.

I was nearing the exit without anyone noticing. Ha! I'm almost there! Just then, I bumped into a person again! What the hell?! What is up with me and bumping into strangers?

I glared. It's Batman again!!

"YOU BASTARD! ARE YOU STALKING ME OR SOMETHING? OH, COME ON! CAN'T A GIRL DRESSED IN SOME SHITTY CAT WOMAN COSTUME WALK OUT WITH ANY COMPLICATIONS OF SEEING A FREAK LIKE YOU, AGAIN?! GET LOST, BATMAN! I'M ON MY FRIGGIN' PERIOD SO DON'T YOU DARE MESS WITH ME IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SENT TO THE FUCKING HOSPITAL!!!"

But Batman frowned. Hey, wait a minute! Why does this one have white pupils?!

"Miss, I don't know you are talking about!"

Huh? Why did his voice change???

He then took off his mask and I paled. Oh, shit. "N-N-Neji.......um.... he he? Sorry, I thought you were someone else! Sorry! Gomenasai Neji-san!" I practically bowed to show him how sorry I am.

This is embarrassing.

He just walked away without saying anything else. I stood there frozen, until a hand grabbed my arms and made me turn to him.

There, I saw another Batman.

And gazing into his eyes, I knew this was the one I encountered earlier. Those pools of black are hard to forget.

Wait, black?

"Hn. Glad you're done nagging at the wrong guy."

I pulled my arm away.

"Seriously, dude, who the heck are you?!"

A smirk plastered on his face again, before he leaned in and whispered in my ear,

"I'm Batman. I'm a ninja. I'm a man of my words, and your secret admirer.."

He then averted his lips to a different direction. It landed on mine. He's kissing me! I then felt my heart go wild, and with no more excuses, I kissed him back.

I think I know who this boy is.

When we pulled away, he continued, before taking off his mask,

"I can be anything you want me to be, but most likely.. I'm yours, Sakura."

I finally saw his face.

"Sasuke.."

He smiled genuinely at me and traced my lips using his thumb. "Look, I---"

"You don't need to say anything else, Sasuke." I hugged him tight. And for the first time in forever, he hugged me back.

"I love you, Sasuke-kun.."

"Saying I love you more, would be an understatement, Haruno.. I think I'm obsessed with you. Pft, I even pulled some strings to have this night with you."

I pulled away fron our embrace and stared at him, "So you're the idiot who suggested this costume party crap to Lady Tsunade??"

He smiled innocently. Damn that charming smile!

"Yup. I'm your idiot."

I laughed it off as my heart felt overwhelmed with what was happening.

It was only then did I noticed some people watching us. I turned to Sasuke,

"Hey, you better put that mask back on, you dummy! You're revealing Batman's identity! Hahaha! That's illegal."

He shook his head and pecked my lips before winking at me and did as told,

"Meow."
