Chapter 5:

Sasuke watched Kira sit in the middle of the forest soaking in the sun, he watched the wind blow through her hair. Sasuke loved that the gray locks were getting long again, it didn't look like it used to when they were younger but he could see her little stub of a pony tail whenever she had her hair back.

She looked so content in this clearing. Like there was nothing wrong in the world. Sasuke figured she would enjoy some fresh air and was very happy to see that he was correct. He could tell she appreciated it, he knew that being stuck underground for too long could cause the body to crave the little things like sunlight. Fresh air, even the sound of wind rustling through the trees. Something that could make you feel more grounded than before.

Walking closer towards the girl Sasuke took a seat beside her resting his back against her own. Leaning his head back Sasuke closed his eyes in bliss resting against her shoulder. "Feeling better?"

"Yeah...thanks," smirking to himself he could practically see her lips pulled up into that half crooked smile. Grunting, Sasuke let out a sigh enjoying some sun himself. His own smile started to grow when he felt her head rest against his own shoulder. She was growing more comfortable around him,

It wasn't that long ago since he gave her the book. He was just so proud that his plan was working. Just doing some of these little things seemed to be working wonderfully for him. Though his mind screamed at him for not throwing himself on her, Sasuke knew that Kira was a classy woman, she needed to be wooed, she needed to trust him.

They needed to spend more quality time together.

He felt her shift to lay in the grass, her gray locks spreading in the green grass, looking absolutely breathtaking. She had to know she was this tempting, she must have known what he was doing to him. He saw her give him a small smile then return her gaze to the blue sky above them.

Shifting so that he was lying beside her, having their arms at least pressed against one another Sasuke stared at the clouds. He didn't understand why she thought this was so content to just stare at the clouds, there wasn't much to it, but sasuke figured it was like him staring at her. Studying the details to memory. Staring at something so beautiful and just unable to believe that someone like her was real. That she was truly here with him.

"You're staring," her silky voice rang through his ears. He almost missed it. "So," he watched her roll her eyes glancing over at the male now. Crimson met Onyx and Sasuke felt his joy when he saw the amusement dancing in those crimson orbs.

"You're being creepy." his smirk widened "You're just being crazy." a small laugh escaped her perfect plump lips before averting her gaze back to the clouds. She was choosing to ignore him, the clouds were dancing across the sky taking on different shapes one looking especially like a kitten making the girl smile to herself. "You should get a cat."

Sasuke looked over confused, "Why a cat?" Sure he loved cats but he wanted a specific reason to get one. Would it be because she loved cats? Of course she loved cats. She loves all animals, he started to feel his heart skip a beat, she already wanted to get a pet together. Furthering their relationship.

"They're cute and if you work with them they have your back no matter what...well same with dogs but still. You should get a cat."

Sasuke studied her face again trying to figure a way to tell her no. "I don't think it would be a good idea to have live animals around here." her face dropped to a frown, his heart ached seeing her look this way. "Yeah your right..."

"Maybe when we leave together we can." her head snapped in his direction, eyes widened in surprise "You'd leave Orochimaru?"

Blinking at her stupid question he reached out flicking her nose before looking back a the sky. "Of course. Eventually there won't be anything else he can teach me. I won't need to be here any longer." reaching over he grasped onto her left hand enjoying the warmth coming off in waves though she wasn't sweating. "So after you learn everything Orochimaru can teach you, you'll leave?"

He let out a grunt locking his eyes onto her crimson again. "We'll leave. Just give me some time." she nodded her head squeezing his hand within her own. He was willing to leave Orochimaru. He wanted to leave after he learned all he could. She hoped maybe that would be long enough, she knew they didn't have long. Kabuto was looking more and more giddy each and every day. Then of course Orochimaru started to look worse for wear after the end of every day. It seemed that they didn't have much longer before Orochimaru would try to take Sasuke's body.

Short chapter but I'm trying to get to Sasuke leaving Orochimaru soon. Hope you all are enjoying the story so far! I'm trying to get more chapters uploaded since I got another spark of energy for this story but then again I might forget about it when I start to play a new video game so sorry in advance if I forget to update for a while again. Thanks again for reading!
