Chapter 17: More Regrets

It had been twelve hours since Sasuke had asked Kira to marry him and he had already forced a black band around her finger to symbolize their engagement. It wasn't anything special, it looked more like a black rubber band than a ring. But Sasuke wanted everyone to know she was claimed. Suigetsu had quickly taken notice but didn't bother to ask about it, it wasn't something he needed to care about. Though that didn't stop Suigetsu from feeling bad for his friend.

Should he call Kira his friend? They weren't really friends having just met and all, but during the week they've been together she was nicer to talk to than Sasuke and she was sort of funny. Though Sasuke didn't like him talking to her, that didn't stop their budding relationship from forming.

Suigetsu easily noticed the pained expression behind her eyes, but that wasn't his problem. None of this was, so of course he didn't say anything. He just had to ignore that nagging feeling in the pit of his stomach.

Both Suigetsu and Sasuke watched as Kira paused in her steps and flipped her head upside down, Sasuke watched mesmerized as her hands made quick work to pull all her hair into a high ponytail, tufts of gray hair spread in each direction of her head when she straightened back up.

"What?"

Smirking to himself Sasuke shook his head "Nothing," holding back a laugh, Sasuke couldn't help but think she looked almost like a porcupine with her hair like that. Rolling her eyes once more she kept her eyes down, watching rocks skip across the grass.

This was pathetic, traveling with Sasuke in his pursuit to kill Itachi, yes she understood but revenge wasn't everything. He needed to let go. He needed to come home. Why was she even going along with his plan? 'Agh!' she grumbled inside her head.

'Are you seeing the error of your ways?' Sasuke and Suigetsu heard the slight growl emitting from Kira's form. Confusion wrapped around each of them though one hid it better than the other. Sasuke's right hand reached out resting on her lower back. 'Where have you been?!'

Kaida had been MIA ever since she had started sleeping with Sasuke! She had felt so alone, more alone than she had felt in a very long time. 'You've been gone and you think now is the time to tell me how royally fucked I am?!' She screams internally clenching her fists at her side.

'I figured you needed to learn from your mistake.' Scoffing loudly Kira could only roll her eyes at how stupid Kaida sounded right now. "Hey Kiki, you okay?" Sasuke felt Kira's soft gray locks graze his cheek from how fast her head whipped around.

"Kiki?" An elegant brow raised in confusion, why would he call her that. "Yeah! Whatcha think? Cute nickname for you?" Sasuke felt his jealousy boil within him. His hand gripped her left squeezing tightly holding himself back from killing off one of his teammates. "Pffft,"

Suigetsu grinned watching her laugh. "Dude, that was so lame! Kiki sounds like some stripper or something,"

Snickering together Suigetsu, Kira, and Sasuke ventured onward. "I guess I'll have to come up with a better name for you then." Sasuke watched another snort escape Kira's lips "Please no, I'm fine with Kira."

Suigetsu's shoulders slumped forward as he let out a quiet groan. "But that's so boring, come on we gotta have a good nickname for you."

"Whatever you say Sui," The grip on her wrist tightened painfully, gritting her teeth she sent a glare towards Sasuke. He looked absolutely pissed 'Don't start.'

'You gave him a nickname?!' Rolling her eyes once again Kira kept her eyes locked ahead of her 'Why does it bother you so much that we're friends?' She could feel his dark gaze locked on the side of her face but she refused to meet his stare. He didn't make sense and she wanted to smack him for being so stupid.

Suigetsu grinned unaware of the fight brewing between his two companions "So Kira what's your go to jutsu?" turning to face Suigetsu, Kira didn't miss the grip on her wrist tightening yet again "Well I technically have a jutsu going at all times usually. I use the Mizu Kyuuin technique."

Suigetsu's eyes widen "The Water Absorption technique! You're a water style user?!" Seeing Suigetsu act like this made her think of Naruto, she missed him terribly. "I focused mostly on Water Style when I was younger, but over the years I trained with my older brother and I can do almost as much as Kakashi."

"Thats awesome! I have to say though, water style techniques are my own personal favorite." Kira couldn't help letting out another laugh at Suigetsu's comments. It was honestly adorable how excited he was.

"Anyway Kiki," Sasuke's irk mark grew as Suigetsu called his Kira 'Kiki' again. "Where do you get Kiki from Kira?" Suigetsu flashed another grin yet again giggling at the face she was making. "So Kiki, as I was saying, I wanna fight you."

"No."

Both Suigetsu and Kira looked at Sasuke confused. Was he forbidding her from fighting now? "Sasuke come on, we're just sparing."

"No."

Rolling her eyes Kira pulled at her wrist only for his grip to tighten 'You're going to break my wrist, can you hold my hand instead?' she let out another sigh feeling his grip loosen and shift lower to her hand, their fingers linking together.

Glancing over she caught the small smile on his face. 'Why must you play into his desires?' Kaida grumbled within her chest. Kira knew Kaida was right, she's been an idiot so far. "So why do you want to fight me?"

Suigetsu grinned, meeting her gaze. "Well the mighty Sasuke keeps you around for something, and I want to see if you're any good besides in bed."

"What?!" She screamed so loud that the birds resting in the trees were spooked. Sasuke smirked to himself knowing he was the reason she was so loud. Suigetsu held his arms around his waist laughing so hard he could barely breathe.

"You think I can't hear you two? You guys fuck like bunnies." Kira felt her face burn with embarrassment.

Both boys could feel her embarrassment explode around the vicinity. Sasuke almost slipped up and let a chortle escape his lips. He held in his laughter at the look she was giving him. It wasn't a bad thing, in his mind anyway.

"So," Suigetsu grinned, leaning forward close to Kira's face "Are you all talk or can you actually fight." Another low growl came from Kira's form. Her hands moved on their own accord, Sasuke took a step back watching. He could feel the electricity in the air and instantly knew that this could get bad. If Sasuke thought Suigetsu would harm her in any way, he would put an end to this.

Suigetsu grinned, backing away watching her hands, he couldn't figure out what technique she was using. It didn't look to be any sort of water style, yet the excitement was building within his chest. If she was as fun to spar with as she was to joke around with, Suigetsu wouldn't know what to do. She'd easily become his best friend, hell maybe more if he had anything to say in it.

It wasn't like he had feelings for her, she was just a good friend. Something he hasn't had in a long, long time.

"Gyakukyokusei no Jutsu," Kira mumbled as sparks of yellow emitted from her left hand as she lunged forward, Suigetsu thinking he had the upper hand grinned side stepping her advance yet soon realized his mistake when he caught sight of her smirking face.

Her hand pushed into his halberd. Suigetsu felt the strongest push, it almost felt as if a stampede of bulls had lifted him off his feet and sent him tumbling forward into a tree.

The electricity in his body made it hard to move at first. He noticed she had yet to move, giving him time to recover. Back on his feet Suigetsu grinned knowing she would make a wonderful sparring partner for him.

Forming his left hand into an 'L' shape water materialized at the tip of his pointer finger. Suigetsu started firing water bullets in her direction. They both watched as she shot forward once again, never having been good at long range fighting. She managed to get hit two times out of his seven shots.

Ripping out his Halberd Suigetsu's grin never left his face. Blocking each of her attacks, he could feel the vibrations in his blade whenever her right hand connected with the metal. "What was that Jutsu you used? I thought Water Style was your preference?" He asked backing up once again.

"Lightning technique: Reverse Polarity." ducking as soon as she saw the swing of his blade. "Kakashi taught me after I became Jonin." Suigetsu watched her hands as she started another jutsu. Flames erupted around her hands yet she didn't seem affected by this at all.

He could feel the heat of her attacks causing more damage to his new blade. Cursing to himself, Suigetsu jumped back, dropping his weapon. He watched the flames dissipate from her fingers, the shiny metal of her right hand looked to be pulsing red. "I told you he taught me other techniques."

He looked absolutely giddy watching the water surrounding her body start to float off her form. Quickly taking the shape of throwing stars "Okay enough," Sasuke called annoyed walking forward snapping both teens out of spar mode.

Sasuke glared quickly reaching Kira's side forcing her to walk back on the path. He was fine with the initial fight, but then he could tell Suigetsu was excited and he was not okay with that. His jealousy spiked seeing how much Suigetsu was enjoying spending time with his woman. "Wait what? Sasuke! What the hell, we didn't get a full spar!"

"You're wasting time." Sasuke growled glaring in Suigetsu's direction. The grip on her shoulder would surely leave bruises. Lately her body was just covered in them from Sasuke's possessive grip. "Killjoy," Suigetsu grumbled, retrieving his weapon only to jog to catch up.

"What was that?" Sasuke growled glaring in his direction. Suigetsu shrugged his shoulders looking away from his comrade, watching the scenery pass by as they walked. "You're unbelievable." Kira huffed annoyed. Refusing to walk any further she shoved her heels into the ground. "Let me go." she snapped.

Sasuke leaned forward brushing his lips across her pointed ear "You should be happy," Kira let out a snarl whipping her head around to face him. His face looked neutral but she could see the crazed look in his charcoal eyes. "Excuse me?!"

Her body was filled with rage, how dare he say she should be happy. There was nothing to be happy about! "I could chain you to my bed, lock you away from this world." chills ran down her spine "So like I said, You should be happy."

Leaning forward once again his lips grazed her forehead. "I wouldn't mind coming home to you like that. Begging like the good little girl you are."

She felt disgusted, bile rose up her throat at his words. "You're disgusting." she growled walking forward much faster than before. She could not stand being near him now. He absolutely disgusted her. 'We need to find a way to escape. The boy is unpleasant to be around.' Kaida grumbled yearning for her host to listen to reason. 'He is unpleasant thats for sure. I need to find a way to get in touch with Naruto.'

She could feel Kaida hum in content at contacting Naruto, right now Naruto was the only person she could trust to help get Sasuke to come home. 'What will he think when he finds out what you've done.'

Frowning Kira's shoulders slumped she wasn't sure. She didn't want to think about what Naruto would think of her. Naruto's her best friend, but he was also very close with Gaara. He ought to have known what happened between her and the Sand Nin.

"Kiki slow down! Do you even know where you're going?" Suigetsu laughed speeding up a tad to just catch up. "Will you quit calling me that already!"
