Chapter 15: To the Land of Waves
Chapter 15: To the Land of Waves
It had been three days since they picked up Suigetsu and were almost a day's walk from The Land of Waves. Sasuke would often glare at Suigetsu whenever he caught sight of the male standing too close to Kira, chatting with Kira, or even briefly glancing at her.
This would often cause Kira to roll her eyes, he was such a pain in the ass. She hadn't gotten far with the whole 'Don't Kill Itachi' plan. Sasuke was determined to kill his older brother. "Sasuke you promised!" she yelled slumping her shoulder forward as she walked behind the male. Her left arm outstretched as Sasuke dragged her onwards.
Glancing back Sasuke could see how upset and worried she was for him. "I said after we kill Itachi, only then can we return home." He smiled to himself when she started to pout, her bottom lip poked out making her lips look delightfully kissable. Their relationship had become so perfect these past few days. It wasn't all like he thought it would be, the imaginary Kira he had dreamt up was more affectionate, almost like another Sakura, but the real Kira was perfect.
The real Kira was beyond perfect. Not to mention the feel of being inside her. He never wanted to leave her, he wanted to always be wrapped by those tight walls, watching her beg for more as he continued to hit her G-Spot over and over again, to watch the drool drip down her chin when she wasn't able to scream any longer.
If he had things his way, they would be fucking every chance they got. But his darling Kira was always too sore afterwards, her arms shaking, her knees wobbly. She wouldn't be able to protect herself from any would-be attackers if Sasuke wasn't present. When they finally returned to Konoha then they could probably start a family. After all, Sasuke wanted a bunch of kids running around the Uchiha compound.
"But revenge won't bring your family back." She diverted his attention back to their conversation. "Kira." She shook her head "It won't. Why can't we just bring him back so he can pay for his crimes daily?" this time he shook his head. "That's not possible."
"But Sasuke, he's not worth turning you into a killer." Suigetsu looked back and forth between the two wanting to see who would win. This was the most he's heard Sasuke speak since he met him. He was usually so quiet, a man of few words. But with this woman here...he was more outspoken. More human.
During the short time he's known Kira, he didn't know what to think. She always had a book in her hand, and whenever she looked his way she would give him a genuine smile. Something he wasn't used to after being with Orochimaru for so long. He wanted to talk to her, he wanted to pick her brain, see what makes her tick, see what she was reading, and see her views on life. Most of all he wanted to know why she had horns!
As they walked he watched her right hand glint in the sun, whenever he got the chance he stared at the black metal. Questions consumed his mind. What happened to her hand? Was this part of her fighting style? Was it just a fashion choice? So many questions, never any answers.
One thing was for sure, he liked her more than Karen. He wondered why they even needed Karen to begin with. All she had to offer was giving up chakra. But Kira was a healer who trained directly under Tsunade.
Back to the topic at hand, Suigetsu liked hearing her try to persuade the Uchiha not to kill. It was adorable thinking she could make him listen to reason. "What's wrong with that? It's fun." Kira shook her head looking back towards the white haired Suigetsu. "How is taking a human's life fun?"
Suigetsu chuckled, shrugging his shoulders, biting his bottom lip showing off those shark like teeth. "Regardless of what they've done." she sent a pointed look towards Sasuke. He looked indifferent about the entire subject of murder. "It's not that bad," Suigetsu shrugged, quickly matching Kira's pace.
"You have so much control over the person, not to mention it's hilarious watching them beg for their lives." Sasuke watched his love tremble beside him. Her crimson eyes locked on the ground, her left hand grew sweaty and shook in his grasp. Pausing in his walk Sasuke focused his entire attention towards her. She tugged her arm to be free, she needed to find imperfections, she needed to see if it would hold in battle. She needed to feel safe again.
"What?" A confused Suigetsu bent down to stare at the girl. "Scared of a little murder?" her gray eyebrows knit together as a scowl settled upon her lips. "Death?" She snapped her head in his direction "I'm not scared of death." she snarled. There was a deep rumble in her tone, smirking down at the shorter girl Suigetsu watched her, her deep crimson eyes started to swirl with flecks of orange and yellow ember, making them practically glow. The dark charcoal pupil locked onto him and made Suigetsu feel as if he was put under a trance, he could stare in those eyes for hours and continue to find something new. He didn't know why these emotions were spiraling through his body, but he didn't seem to care.
Giving her a cocky smirk showing off one of his sharp canines. "I don't think it's right to murder someone, sinking yourself to their level." she sent her glare towards Sasuke. "Well I'll have to disagree, having someone locked in prison for life when getting to live when they deserve death." Suigetsu shook his head "I'd end them myself."
Kira let out a small groan shaking her head, yanking her hand free from Sasuke's grasp. A low growl escaped his throat at the loss of contact. His eyes easily locked onto her fingers gliding over the metal, her left hand digging her nails into the crevices only to glide to another side. 'Kira.'
Crimson red met charcoal black, her searching paused as she stared at him. 'You would think less of me if I killed again?' Her lips turned downward, she was quick to look away from him. 'I don't want you to be a killer Sasuke...I'm still not over what you did to that thug a while back...'
Sasuke nodded he didn't want his love to fear him, to hate him. He would consider Itachi's death later, right now he needed to cheer her up.
Suigetsu watched his two companions walk in silence. He couldn't wrap his head around why Sasuke treated this girl differently. Sure she was cute, but she didn't really fit into his brooding and I'll kill anyone in my way persona.
Not to mention Sasuke would get angry with him whenever he spoke to the girl. Crimson met lavender and a small smile made its way to her face. She was definitely cute. He never got the chance to actually get a reading on her and learn a few things about the Hatake Clan.
He'd only heard great things regarding them so he wanted the dirt. He wanted anything he could have, the good, the bad, the ugly. All of it.
'It's really not all that interesting.' Suigetsu jumped hearing a musical voice echo throughout his head. What was that just now? What just happened!
Kira let out a giggle bringing a hand to her lips to cover her smile. Sasuke glanced her way wondering what was so funny. Rolling her eyes once again Kira pulled out her book feeling Sasuke place his hand on the small of her back, pushing her forward.
His grip was possessive, making sure her body was pressed close to his own. 'Also your thoughts are really loud.' she could see him jump confused "What was that!" Blinking confused Sasuke and Kira face the male. Kira feigned confusion while she stared at him. "Are you okay Suigetsu?"
"I..." He squinted his eyes at her "Was that you?" she grinned shrugging her shoulders "I don't know what you're talking about." she looked up at Sasuke leaning close to wrap her arms around his middle, snuggling her head in his neck "Can we take a lunch break Sasuke?" Tilting her head she placed a soft kiss on the soft skin feeling him shudder under her.
"Fine." his grip around her waist tightened as he spoke, while Sasuke tried to sound annoyed she could feel the true effects of her little kiss. The group of three moved off to the side of the road and took out one of the few snack lunches they had left from their last pitstop.
'Am I hearing things? I swear I could hear her voice in my head...'
'You did, sorry I'd have confessed earlier but Sasuke is being weird about us talking.' Suigetsu looked over towards the two teens sitting close together, the gray haired woman briefly caught his eye before moving back to Sasuke 'You have questions and I can answer them this way,'
Suigetsu couldn't believe what he was hearing. How was he supposed to ask her the questions? Was this actually happening? 'When you talk and you want one of us to respond you use your voice, well I can hear your thoughts. So just thinking about your question I usually can hear.'
Suigetsu was amazed he had never met anyone with this sort of justu. Did everyone in the Hatake clan know how to do this? 'No, just me. Comes with the horns.' Kira grinned leaning closer to Sasuke watching him look her over. "What?"
She shrugged her shoulders looking over her face before closing the distance, not caring if Suigetsu was watching. It would do the idiot some good to see that Kira was truly his. 'What does he have on you?' Kira pulled away flushing a light shade of pink.
"No." He pulled her closer again closing the distance between the two of them once more. He got a taste and needed more. He needed much more.
'I need to bring him home, this was our deal.' Suigetsu made a face of disgust looking away. Taking a bite from one of his sandwiches. He didn't want to see them makeout. 'Seems like you got the short end of the stick.'
"S-sasuke," she mumbled trying to pull away from his tight embrace. At his annoyed look Kira looked down at his chest. "I'm fine with kisses..." she muttered lowly, she felt embarrassed for having to say this out loud. "B-but not more than t-that?"
Sasuke smirked leaning down, nipping the tip of her pointed ear. "How else..." he started watching red blossom all around her face "am I to show you're mine." his low voice sent trembles down her spine. Why did he have to say it like that? She squirmed in his hold feeling his rough hands glide down her waist, his long slender fingers slipping under the fabric of her shorts.
"Stop!" she hissed smacking them away. She was beyond embarrassed. 'You good?' shaking her head to, one clear her head and two show Suigetsu she was not alright. "Later...alright?" Sasuke grumbled resting his head against her own.
"Fine," He wanted nothing more than to take her here and now but she was right. They didn't need Suigetsu watching them. The thought of Suigetsu watching, spiked his anger. He could see it now, the bastard watching from the sidelines, his eyes trained on his Kira, watching the way her face would control, hearing those beautiful moans escape those lushes lips of hers.
Kira blushed a bright red hearing his thoughts screaming with such ideas. Leaning over quickly she placed a quick kiss to his lips wanting him to calm down. She watched the recognition of what she's done wash through his charcoal black eyes. His angry expression turned into a pout.
"We should probably get going, unless you guys want to set up camp later tonight." Suigetsu nodded quickly standing and stretching his limbs, he was glad that he got to rest for a bit. "How much longer do you think till we get there?"
Sasuke shrugged "Before sundown, if we leave now."
The group of three quickly moved onward, wanting to make it to the Land of Waves before nightfall. She really didn't want to sleep in the dirt again or deal with Sasuke trying to do something while Suigetsu was asleep.
At night while she lay awake she thought of Gaara, she missed him terribly. She wished it was him lying beside her at night, she wished he was the one to kiss her like the world was ending. Whisper in her ear like he used to, kiss her neck when she wasn't paying attention. She missed the way he would randomly take a piece of her hair and twirl it around his finger as they spoke. She missed many things about Gaara, she wished she could think of all the good times they had together, how she fell madly in love with the little things Gaara would do.
But lately whenever Sasuke finished whatever assault he would do with her body she could only think of Gaara's heartbroken face, the tears streaming down his face, begging her not to go. A small part of her hoped that he would still wait for her, will love her even after everything she's done. But she knew the truth. She knew that making her choice Gaara would never want her again.
"So Kira," Suigetsu called, snapping her out of her depressed thoughts. Looking over towards the male he gave her a small smile "What happened to your hand if you don't mind me asking,"
Looking down to her right hand, she brought it up towards the light watching the black metal glint in the sun. "None of your business." Sasuke growled glaring at the male. Yanking hard on Sasuke's hand she made a face to him. "Actually I don't mind talking about it. Almost four years ago Sasuke left our village to join Orochimaru." she bumped her shoulder into Sasukes as she spoke.
"Well while this doofus was fighting my best friend they created this huge avalanche of rock where unfortunately I got stuck under." Suigetsu cringed "My brother told me there was no other way to get me out of there so he hacked off almost all my hair and my arm. I'm pretty sure I would have been a goner if he hadn't found me." she smiled. She felt Sasuke's grip on her hand tighten, he still felt bad for being the cause of her disability.
"Ouch," Shrugging her shoulders "Yeah it was weird in the beginning but now I can do this!" she extended her right arm away from the other two and pressed one of the buttons watching a long sword extended against the metal fingers. Throwing her arm down she made a thick slice in the dirt road. "Cool right!"
Suigetsu smirked seeing how excited she was over her arm. "Can't get that with a normal arm now can yah!" Letting out a chuckle he shook his head. "No, no you can't." He watched her place her arm down to her side, the tip of the sword just reached the ground, meaning it was roughly half her size.
He watched it retract under her sleeve and the metallic fingers curl and flex. Almost like a normal hand would. Suigetsu didn't need to be a genius to see the hatred burning in Sasuke's eyes, so he avoided looking at him completely. 'I don't think he likes me right now,'
Kira looked over to Sasuke to see his grumbling annoyed face. 'Isn't he always in this grumpy mood though?' Holding back a laugh Suigetsu grinned. He liked this girl more and more. He was glad she was willing to talk to him like she would a friend. Suigetsu knew that if it was just him and Sasuke, this entire trip would be so boring! He liked having someone to talk with, he liked learning about her past, he liked her energy.
He knew they could have fun together if Sasuke would give them the chance.
The three teens stood before the bridge, Kira felt tears starting to form as she thought of Naruto. 'The Great Naruto Bridge' made a smile grace her features. "Heh..." glancing over she could see one of Sasuke's rare smiles staring up at the name too.
She stared surprised, Sasuke was smiling at something, it wasn't a giant goofy smile like Naruto would give. It was small, something so miniscule that you honestly wouldn't catch it if you weren't looking for it. Was it possible that Sasuke missed Naruto?
"What do you think, Sasuke?" Suigetsu called looking up at the bridge himself. When he got no response he looked over "Sasuke,"
"I think I don't care. Lets go." Shaking her head Kira walked across the familiar bridge, she felt so happy for the people of this town. Before everything looked worse for wear but now. It was lively. It was booming, it looked like a completely different town. It was incredible! She was so proud of the people and everything they've done to make this village their home once more.
"Do you remember where the grave is?" Sasuke asked, walking throughout the village like he knew where he was going. "I think so,"
"Then lead the way." Rolling her eyes Kira let out a scoff. "Yes because I come here so often I know where everything is." she replied sassily. Sasuke smirked, not bothering to answer the girl. Suigetsu and Sasuke followed Kira as she walked them down a few beaten paths till they eventually made it to the grave site for Zabuza and Haku.
She couldn't believe that the area looked so abandoned. It was like no one had bothered to come over and clean the place while they were gone. Frowning Kira walked ahead clearing out vines and as many weeds as she could while Suigetsu and Sasuke spoke.
"Never thought it'd be all the way out here," Suigetsu grinned strolling over to Zabuza's sword. "I'll be taking this, Zabuza senpai." It only took two tugs and the sword was ripped free from the earth. It needed to be cleaned and properly shinned once more. It was rusty from years in the dirt but still looked as if it could chop your head off in one quick swipe, or possibly get stuck in your throat.
"Whoa, this is heavy! So this is the sword of 'Zabuza the Devil' from the village of blood mist...The Decapitator." looking up from her kneeling position Kira gave the male a small smile. "I saw a black smith earlier, we can stop by and get some supplies to sharpen the blade and give it some shine."
"Good eye! I can do that tonight when we stop for the night!"
"Can you actually wield it?" Sasuke walked closer to Kira, resting his hand on her head, running his fingers through her soft tresses "The katana used by the 'Seven Mist Swordsmen' are passed on from generation to generation. I trained like crazy so I could join them someday." Suigetsu explained staring down at the blade, a soft expression on his handsome face.
"With this great sword, I could probably even beat you..." Lavender eyes locked onto his two companions beside him "Since Juugo's going to join us, I figured I'd need it." Strapping the blade to his back Suigetsu moved closer to the two.
"It'll be dark soon, let's go to the blacksmith and get your supplies." Kira called standing with ease. Dusting the dirt off her knees she led the way to the blacksmith shop she saw earlier. Sasuke and her waited outside while Suigetsu shopped. "How's the funds?" Sasuke shrugged "We'll be fine. Suigetsu will have to pay for his own room or he's sleeping outside. We have unfinished business."
Flushing at his words she looked away. "It'll be cheaper for all of us to just share a room, you know..." she mumbled watching the people walk by with not a care in the world.
Pinching her chin he brought her face to meet his gaze, jealousy flooded his system once again "There's nothing going on between you two...is there?" she could hear the murderous intent in his voice. "No Sasuke."
"I wouldn't want to punish you Kira. You wouldn't lie to me would you love?" She felt the trembles of fear run down her spine. He sounded crazy, he scared her when he acted like this. With trembling hands Kira reached up resting them along his face, her thumb shifting back and forth over his cheekbone. "Nothing is going on between Suigetsu and I." she spoke as calmly as she could.
Her heart was beating like crazy. "Don't you trust me?" she whispered so quietly she thought he didn't hear her. Nuzzling into her neck Sasuke made quick work to place reassuring kisses to her neck, he loved how her neck scrunched up when he kissed a specific spot. "Of course I trust you."
Licking the juncture of her collarbone Kira whimpered feeling her stomach twist, her legs clenched tightly trying to ignore the feeling completely. "I don't trust him." Teeth bared Sasuke bit down hard hearing her small yelp of pain. Her body unwillingly pushed itself closer to his. Her fingers curled into his shirt.
"Th-theres nothing go-going on Sasuke," she repeated biting her bottom lip, hating herself for stuttering. SHe could practically feel him smirking against her skin. "I believe you," his voice sent another wave of shivers down her spine. "Lets get a room."
"But what about..."
"Now." Her body was thrown over his shoulder roughly forcing a low moan of pain to escape her lips. Sasuke walked fast through the streets to one of the local inns. He quickly paid for a room, he didn't care what room. They just needed a room.
Throwing the door open Sasuke tossed her on the bed, watching her bounce. Her eyes were wide and her face flushed. "Did you really have to carry me over your shoulder?"
"Yes." She could see his growing bulge through the fabric of his pants. He had waited the entire day for this, to be alone with you. Sasuke smirked at her embarrassed expression, they had been together officially for almost a week and she was still embarrassed. He hoped eventually she would feel more relaxed around him. "I want to try something different." She didn't know what he wanted but she didn't want to find out.
Grasping her hands he pulled her back to her feet. "What is it you want to try?" his grin grew. "I'm so glad you asked."
