Shizuku’s POV

Next thing I know, I’m in a hospital bed. With Sasuke next to me.

Then some sound ninja, well… Orochimaru wants us now I guess.

“If you stay here, you can’t get stronger; this puny village relies on bonds. Worthless bonds. If you join Orochimaru you can get stronger and kill your brother.” A red head with the curse mark said to me and Sasuke.

“I don’t like being told what to do!” I roundhouse kicked her and attempted to punch her. But me being weak prevented that and she caught my punch.

“See, weak.” My eye twitched and I did a jutsu

“Silver flash! Taka no Odori! (dance of the hawks)” I yelled out, she backed away from the hawks surrounding her, but then my jutsu got canceled and she came for me again.

I got punched and kicked, and landed on the ground with Sasuke,

“Just think about it, the puny village can’t do anything for you. But Orochimaru can.” And they disappeared.

“What is with people that come and attack me, talk, attack me more, and then disappear?” I muttered. Sasuke chuckled,

“No idea.”

I chuckled and leaned against the tree, but to my dismay something wrapped around Sasuke and me, I grunted as the rope got tighter.

“It might seem like a good idea, but if you do leave you will become rogues.” I heard from behind me, I clenched my teeth.

“Ugh… DAMN YOU KAKASHI! LET ME OUTTA THIS THING!” I shouted waving my arms around.

“Revenge is not the answer. Itachi did something wrong, that’s not your fault. Bonds make people stronger. Leaving makes you rogues.” Kakashi ignored me.

“Go away and get me out of this. This is none of your business.” Sasuke clenched his teeth.

“But it is, you are my students, I will not let my students abandon our village.” Kakashi gave a closed eye smile.

“Okay okay…. NOW GET ME OUT OF THIS FLIPPING ROPE!”

“I’m leaving Shizuku. Itachi has to pay for what he did to our family.” Sasuke said without making eye contact while on his hospital bed. I was lying on mine too, it seems that the curse mark takes a lot out of you, especially when fighting with Gaara.

“Are you going to kill him?’’ I asked him, even though I knew exactly what was going to happen in the series.

“Yes.”

“But Sasuke, he might not be what you think. Did you ever look at it in that way? Maybe… He was made to?” I was trying to imply that he was ordered to do it, but not to say it like that.

“Shizuku, you were there, can’t you remember?” He asked, I blinked in confusion. Huh?

“What?”

“He was there in front of our dead parents, he snatched you and took you from me, and then came back a second later and told me that he killed all of them.” Sasuke explained, if this was true…

Suddenly it all came back to me, me crying with Sasuke, holding him while Itachi was trying to take me, then he did. He threw me across the floor, injuring me. Then took me to a field, making a black portal door. Doing a jutsu and putting his hand on my head. And throwing me in the portal as I closed my eyes for the last time in that world.

“I… I remember.’’ I gulped, how could I forget? Maybe he took away my memory? My memory of ever being in this world. And I forgot. Completely.

“He took me away from you, he threw me across the floor. And I thought that I could trust him.” clenched my fists, I can see what Sasuke is talking about.

My mind erased all chances of Itachi being good, and was focused, I hate him.

“Get it? I will kill him. You can choose whether to come or not. Well? What do you say?” Sasuke asked me, looking me in the eye. I thought.

“On one condition.” I said.

“And what’s that?”

“Don’t change much in front of me. Be the loving brother you know you can be. I can’t afford to lose another brother.” I smiled; he looked at me, and nodded. I held up my pinky, “Promise?”

He nodded again, and wrapped his pinky around mine, “I promise.”

“Oh and, Gaara seriously didn’t go easy on me.” I laughed, eyeing the scar the Gaara gave me when he hit me.

“You didn’t have to protect me.”

“Oh shut up. We are not having this conversation. What’s done is done.” I shook my head at him.

“Hn.”

“Sasuke-kun. Shizuku-chan. I came to visit.” A girly voice said from behind the curtain. Sakura eh?

“Hey Sakura.” I said rolling my eyes. What could she do? I guess it was considerate of her to visit.

She came and sat down on the stool in the middle of both of our beds. Sasuke turned away, not making eye contact with either of us.

“Sasuke? You want some apples? I brought them for you guys.” Sakura leaned towards Sasuke, wanting to know what’s wrong. I grabbed her arm and she looked at me. I shook my head, she nodded and backed away from Sasuke.

“Thanks for the apples Sakura. Right Sasuke? We should really at least say ‘Thank you’ right? Sasuke?” I smiled at him, he sighed.

“Thanks Sakura.” He muttered.

“Oh the emo prince speaks!” I waved my hands exaggeratedly.

Sakura laughed and I smiled. I wouldn’t see her much anymore when I leave. Maybe that’s good for me. Not seeing any of my Konoha friends.

“HEY! Sasuke! Shizuku! Look who I brought!” I heard, Naruto.

“Is it Tsunade!? Oh wow she can make everything better can’t she!?” I yelled out sarcastically, rolling my eyes. The curtain got pulled back, and sure enough, the blonde haired legendary sannin stood there with Naruto. Both with question in their eyes.

“Uh, yeah it is. She came to heal you guys! Apparently she is amazing with this kind of stuff.” I rolled my eyes again, yippie, she will make everything better.

“Can everyone back away. I need space.” She ordered, then she told Sasuke to take off his shirt (déjà vu huh?) She pretty much healed Sasuke. Great.

“Your turn. Take off your shirt.” I rolled my eyes and took off my shirt, Naruto squirmed and went out of the room. Probably to see Rock Lee. I lay on the bed and she proceeded to heal my chest. Within a minute she was done healing the cut Gaara caused.

I guess Tsunade just helped me and Sasuke to become rogues, healing us faster. They can blame it all on her then. Not my fault.

She walked out of the room and Naruto came back in, I slipped on my shirt again and lay down.

“You shouldn’t have done that Naruto.” Sasuke told the knucklehead ninja.

“Sasuke, say it normally. Like this, Naruto, mind your own damn business, there was no point healing us quicker.” I said.

“You’re my friends! I wanted you guys to be healthy!” Naruto yelled.

I scoffed. “Mind your own damn business you idiot!”

“No! I want to help you guys! And I did!”

“Well you shouldn’t have!”

“I wanted to! And. I. did!”

“Oh how scary! You said the words one at a time!”

“Shut up! I wanted to help!”

“Want to take this outside?!”

“Fine! Believe it!”

“Good!” I jumped up and walked outside, on the roof. Guess I will be Sasuke this time.

“Are you going to fight your own friend!?” He shouted. I laughed at him.

“Friend? Your no friend! I don’t need you! I don’t need any of this!” I raised my Konoha ninja headband and threw it on the ground, putting a few scratches on it.

“Pick it up and put it on! I’ll wait!”

“You won’t even be able to lay a finger on me. Baaaaka!” I laughed.

“No! It means we will be both fighting equally! As Konoha ninja! Equals!” Naruto yelled at me.

“Equals?! What are you talking about? We’re no equals! I don’t care if you can do the rasengan! I’m still stronger than you! The number one knucklehead ninja can’t defeat me!” I pointed to myself and activated my Tatsukigan.

Naruto couldn’t take any more of my insults, he ran for me, I grabbed his kick for my chest and kicked him back. He caught my foot and attempted to punch me. I flipped back and focused chakra into my hand. He did the same. I ran at him,

“Rasengan!”

“Chidori!”

My wrist got caught and I got thrown into the water tank. I pulled my fist back from the tank and snarled.

“What do you think you’re doing? On top of a hospital?! Friends don’t fight each other! Much less teammates!” Kakashi yelled at us. I rolled my eyes, and glanced at my water tank. A massive hole got torn into it and water was gushing out, I smirked and looked at Naruto’s. A small stream of water was coming out. Weakling. I did a back flip off the roof. Looking at the back of Naruto’s water tank, there the tank was ripped open! Completely torn!

“Awww Fuck you Naruto!”

I walked back into my room. Where Sasuke was waiting.

“So?”

“Kakashi.” I grunted.

“Hn.”

“Naruto called us friends. Equals.” I said.

“He is just that kind of person.”

“Hn.” I nodded.

He looked me in the eye. “Tomorrow night.”

“Okay.”
