During the days in which they weren't traveling around Asia and Narda wasn't needed to clean after the group members, she had nothing to do in her apartment. It was summer vacation and classes were out until the fall, Nari was still busy at the SM building on most days, since she was EXO's stylist and she was in charge of doing their hair every time they had any kind of public appearance on any show. Narda was stuck in the apartment, having no one else in Korea but Nari and the other EXO members.

Whenever Junmyeon's girlfriend Sarang wasn't busy, she would spend some time with Narda. But she mostly got the same time off from schedules as her boyfriend, and she didn't want to disturb them. Still, Narda was grateful that she was included with the idols and their activities--even if her duties only made her part of the cleaning staff. The reason for that was that she was good friends with Chanyeol, and the other members treated her like she was their friend as well, because he was her friend. It didn't matter to them that she wasn't famous, or that she had been hired to clean up after them. They all took a liking to their new friend. Baekhyun was the only one still ignoring her, and whenever he wasn't ignoring her, he was being hostile.

By this time, many things had happened within the group. Yifan had long since left EXO--making them an eleven member group. Not long after, there had been one of the biggest scandals involving SM Entertainment. It had been bigger than the rumors of Yixing and Sun from Baby Lips dating. Tao's sister Huang Chuyen had gone on a live stream to reveal that she had been asked by SM Entertainment to pretend to be her brother for a year. Narda was surprised when she found out, since she had been close to the group around that time and she never noticed anything.

But she didn't judge Yena. She had heard the reasons, and she had been among the first to support her. Yena and Narda easily became friends because of this. But they didn't spend a lot of time together because Yena was more keen on spending time with Lu Han. That left Narda with more time alone than she knew what to do with.

In those lonely days, she missed her family. She had been away from home about a half a year, and it was already making her home sick. Nari, her best friend, took notice of it and tried to find something that would cheer her up.

The Saturday before leaving for Guangzhou--which would be in two more days--the group was given the day off. They had no schedules so that they could enjoy themselves and rest up for the upcoming travel and concert in China.

Nari had been acting strange the entire day, avoiding Narda as much as she could. Narda didn't think too much of it and spent her day in her room, listening to music, and occasionally talking with her friends and family from back home. It wasn't until after the sun set that Nari asked Narda to get ready because they'd be going out that night. The only details she gave were that the boys and their girlfriends had been invited.

When they arrived, they saw it was a contrast to the environment they were used to seeing in Seoul. It was like leaving Korea and entering another country. But for Narda it was a very familiar sight.

It was a Mexican bar and night club called Zapata. On the outside were red and green lights, with Mexican flags decorating the exterior. From the inside they could hear blaring music in a foreign language which they assumed was native to Narda's country. When Narda stepped out of the car, her jaw fell open and her eyes brimmed with tears in surprise. She brought her hands to her face in disbelief, and was so impressed that she tripped over her own feet as she took a step forward. She would have fallen on her face if it hadn't been for the fact that Chanyeol caught her and held her upright.

"Dios mío," She exclaimed in Spanish. Turning towards Nari, she asked, "How did you find this place?"

Nari smiled at her. "It took me days of research, but I thought you might enjoy coming to a place that reminds you of home. You've done so much for me, as my friend. And the boys think you deserve this just as much, for all the help you've given them on tour."

Narda nodded her head slowly, still in something of a shock. It was like she thought it was all a figment of her imagination. "Thank you for bringing me here. This makes me so happy. Ya va a empezar el desmadre mexicano." Let the Mexican chaos begin. She grinned from ear to ear as she brought her hands together mischievously.

The group entered the club together and inside they found mostly American tourists who were enjoying something slightly familiar that reminded them of their neighbors from across the border. There were also a few Hispanics, which watched with curiosity as Narda entered the club surrounded by the EXO members, Nari, Yena, and Park Sarang.

They got separated into three tables, with five people sitting at each of them. The tables were next to each other, to keep the group together, and a waitress immediately walked over to leave some bowls of chips and salsa. Narda had sat at a table with Nari, Kyungsoo, Chanyeol, and Baekhyun. Yena was sitting with Lu Han, Xiumin, Jongdae, and Tao. The last table had Yixing, Junmyeon, Sarang, Jongin, and Sehun.

Over the blaring music, Narda suggested for them to try the chips and salsa.

She watched from her table as Lu Han got Yena to try them, and she tried to do the same with Baekhyun. She grabbed a tortilla chip, scooped up some salsa and offered it to him. "Try it, Byun. I think you'd like it." She said to him with a smile. The EXO vocalist sat with Chanyeol in the middle of him and Narda. Head propped on his palm, he tried his hardest to ignore her.

She quickly got tired of begging him and tried her luck with Chanyeol who was just aching for her attention. She grinned happily as she held the chip to his lips. He opened his mouth and ate it, chewing happily at the food that she had given him.

Upon seeing this, Baekhyun huffed in a murmur that wasn't heard over the loud music. "I need a drink." He waved the waitress over.

"What would you like to drink?" She asked them with a friendly smile.

"Do you have soju here?" Baekhyun asked.

The waitress shook her head. "Sorry. Only Mexican alcoholic drinks. They're on our menu."

She pointed to the menu in front of him. On it were colorful decorations of their selection of beer, the different flavors of margaritas, and other alcoholic beverages. Baekhyun took a look at the list of beer brands and chose the one which seemed the easiest for him to pronounce.

"Corona." He pointed to the picture.

Narda commented in a bit of a teasing manner. "Careful, Byun. Corona is the strongest Mexican beer. We wouldn't want you to fall into an alcoholic coma."

"You think I can't hang, Guti?" He asked her, a competitive gleam suddenly in his eyes.

"I'm just saying." She shrugged her shoulders.

"I'll have one too." Chanyeol raised his hand.

Nari looked at the menu for a half a second before saying, "I'll have the pink lemonade margarita."

"Same." Narda piped up, words full of national pride. "But I want mine with Jose Cuervo in it. It is the oldest and best selling tequila in the world."

"Soju is better." Baekhyun commented, his words held a teasing and competitive undertone to them.

"I will fight you on this, Byun." Narda shot back playfully.

Kyungsoo ordered his drink, a beer that Narda had suggested to him, since he didn't want to get drunk right away. The waitress left them to jot down the orders of the people at their other two tables. Then she went to get their drinks for them.

-

After their argument on whether Jose Cuervo tequila or Soju was the better alcohol, they began to have a drinking contest. There was no soju for them to drink, but they drank shot after shot of tequila until they were both no longer responsible for their own actions. Soon their table was littered with empty drink glasses and one empty bottle of tequila.

Narda was already barely able to stand up, but all the drinks she had ingested were making her feel like she was invincible. She pushed at Chanyeol, who was sitting next to her, and beside him was Baekhyun. She wanted to get out of booth table they were sitting at. Baekhyun could barely move as well and every movement made the room feel like it was spinning around him. Chanyeol accidentally pushed his room mate off his seat and Baekhyun landed on the floor with a thud.

Kyungsoo heaved a sigh and stood up from his seat to help him up.

Chanyeol hadn't drank nearly as much as the two of them and he was easily able to stand up. He helped Narda get back on her feet. She was a giggling mess and she clung onto him to keep her balance, her arms wrapped around his waist. "Geez, Usted." She giggled, looking up at him through droopy eyelids. "You're so fucking tall. Like the Empire State Building."

As a song that was playing ended, another one began. It had more of a cumbia rhythm and Narda gasped loudly.

"Oh my God, I know this song." She said, and immediately began humming the tune. Pushing herself away from Chanyeol just enough, she grabbed him by the hand and tried to drag him to the dance floor. "Dance with me, Channie."

"I don't know how to dance this music." He told her sheepishly. But he was entirely willing as long as he could be with her.

Narda shook her head. "Its easy. Just follow my lead."

Soon Narda had invited everyone out--all of the couples. Nari and Kyungsoo, Yena and Lu Han, Junmyeon and Sarang. She told them she would teach them how to dance the music that was being played at the club. Narda was very familiar with the party music that she had been hearing since she was a little girl. The boys who didn't have dance partners remained in their seats, trying to make conversation with each other over the loud music. Narda tried to get them to join the others as well, but they didn't want to.

Lu Han had gone to find a restroom and Yena stood on the dance floor waiting alone until Baekhyun caught her eye. He was sitting alone, drink in hand. She walked over to him and took the tequila shot from him. "Don't you think you and Narda unnie have drank enough?" She asked him. Yena glanced at the dance floor to see that Narda was barely able to walk while drunk, but she was able to dance perfectly.

He tried to take the shot back from her, but she downed it so that he wouldn't have any more to drink. The liquid burned as it traveled down her throat and she scrunched up her face at the taste.

"Are you here to give me another love lesson?" He asked her in a slurred voice.

He remembered the time at the Spring carnival. When Yena was still dressed as Tao, she had said to Baekhyun that he needed to act if he liked Guti. She warned him that Guti would get tired of waiting for him eventually. But he couldn't go back on the promise he made to his best friend, and he didn't want a girl to be the one to come between them. It was a friendship of several years.

Yena nodded her head and sat across from him. "Whether you like it or not, yes. Another love lesson because I think you really need the advice."

"Get it over with then." He said, eyes glancing towards Narda who was having a good time with Chanyeol now. He also selfishly thought that if he wanted, that attention would be his in a heartbeat.

"You're gonna lose that girl." Yena said to him, also looking in their direction. "Maybe its none of my business. But you're my friend, like a brother to me. I want you to be happy."

"But do you want Chanyeol to be unhappy then?" Baekhyun argued.

Yena gave a shake of her head, and immediately began to clear things up as to what she meant. "Its not about wanting him unhappy. I love him too, just as much as the other EXO boys. But this is about accepting what the truth is. That girl could have Chanyeol if she wanted to, since he's absolutely devoted to her. But I've seen it--she constantly friend zones him for you. She had never led him on. His problem is that he needs to understand that he can't force someone's feelings to just happen because he wants them to. He can't force a person to feel something that isn't there."

"But he's my friend and I promised I would back off." He said to Yena. "What do I do with that? My father always said that a man that goes back on his word is not a man at all."

"If you let your pride win, oppa, you'll be the only one losing." She warned him.

Soon Lu Han returned and she left him with him to continue their dance lesson with Narda.

the majority of this chapter was basically just copied from my other story 'replacement' because i thought this chapter was also relevant to this plot as well. i deleted, and added a few things, but the general gist is the same.

im so tired guys. we practiced on monday for an hour and a half, yesterday for three and a half hours, today we're practicing for two hours, and tomorrow before the concert we practice for another hour and a half. my voice is tired, my body aches from all the standing, my left arm muscles feel like they're gonna fall off bc of holding that stupid heavy choir folder during practice.

my music professor is probably secretly sm entertainment. i feel like she's driving me to my death. that's like nine hours of practicing in five days. doesnt seem like alot. but it feels worse than it sounds. and i have other shit to worry about, other finals to study for.

i hope you enjoy the chapter, have a wonderful day!
