Chapter 2 - Ankhon ki gustakiyaan
Sati was walking in the forest to collect bel patra to use in prayer for Mahadev. Just then a tiger stopped her path. It looked as if it would pounce on her any moment. Instead of getting scared and running away, she kept her flower basket which contained bel patra on a stone and picked up a dry, heavy and sharp branch of tree. She got in the position to fight the tiger. Instead of attacking, the tiger just looked at her for a moment and bowed to her. After that, it left. Sati got confused as to why the tiger did not attack her. She threw the branch away and picked up her flower basket. At this moment, she felt a divine presence around her. When she looked up, she was two beautiful eyes looking at her. She got lost looking into those eyes. The wind started to blow very fast and flowers started to fall on them. After sometime, the eye lock was broken by neighing of horses. She turned around to see her dad had arrived with his troops to check if she was ok or not. When she turned to see if the eyes were still there or not, they had gone. But one thing she knew for sure. It was the divine eyes of Mahadev which she was looking at.
Sarvacharya had arrived in Vikrama's house along with a bunch of other people. He looked at Vikrama with admiration in his eyes. When their eyes met, he winked at her. Vikrama looked around and thanked god no one saw it. She quickly went near her mom.
Vikrama- Amma, can I go to the market?
Ma- Sure, but why do you want to go?
Vikrama- Snacks have finished so I want to buy some more.
Ma- Sure
Vikrama quickly grabbed the market bag and ran outside without even meeting Sarvacharya's eyes. He looked at her with shock but understood his mistake. So, he decided to correct it.
